VIDEO: FOX'S MAJOR GARRETT VS. ROBERT GIBBS

I had the good fortune of getting to see this live and wasn't ready for it to end. Fox News Channel's Major Garrett challenged White House Press Secretary today on emails people had forwarded to him saying that they had received unsolicited emails from David Axelrod. Garrett asked Gibbs how the White House got the email addresses of the people who received the correspondence.

Let's just say Gibbs got a little touchy. Garrett persisted and clearly got the better of the argument. Some have suggested that Garrett may have been overreacting to emails that didn't really originate from the White House but were forwarded to him.

As the evidence trickles in, it's seeming more and more like Garrett is onto something. That said, once you hit "forward", you can manipulate text to make it look like what Garrett is describing. To be fair to Garrett, if that's what happened, the onus would be on the person who did it and not on Garrett. I'm assuming that with Fox's budget, Garrett is making 100% sure that his claims are what he relayed to Gibbs today.

In the past, I've been skeptical of Garrett's tenacity for the truth over merely reporting from wherever. This back and forth with Gibbs took him up several notches with me.

The exchange (with facial expressions) is definitely worth watching.
