ROBERT SPENCER ON BARRACK SHOW THIS SUNDAY

Robert Spencer has been following the case of Fathima Rifqa Bary very closely. Bary is a 17-year old girl with devout Muslim parents who fled to Florida from Columbus, OH after converting to Christianity and fearing for her life because of her apostasy, a crime punishable by death in Islam.

On September 3rd, there was a hearing in Orlando intended to establish what Rifqa's fate should be. Robert Spencer (pictured), founder of JIHAD WATCH was there for a first hand account. The good news is that Rifqa is not immediately going back to Columbus and will remain in Florida until the next hearing on September 28th. The bad news is that Rifqa appears to be facing an unsympathetic local media and investigations that point to her not being in any harm if she is returned to Columbus.

Tune in this Sunday, September 6th at 7:05am CT as I talk with Robert about what he saw, his take on local media coverage, and how he thinks the case will pan out.

As a warm-up, check out THIS POST on Spencer's blog where he chimes in on a report from the St. Petersburg Times. If this report is true, when coupled with the conclusions reached by the authorities in Ohio about Rifqa's safety, I'm reminded of two quotes from two rather famous people - one from the 18th Century and the other from the 20th.

"Evil can only succeed when good men do nothing."
- Edmund Burke

"Appeasers are like those who feed the crocodiles, hoping to be eaten last."
- Winston Churchill
