You could almost hear his poll numbers dropping as you watched this pathetic explanation from McCain about how despite proudly wearing the "Maverick" label all through the 2008 presidential campaign, he now never considered himself one. McCain twists himself in knots as Chris Wallace calls him on the obvious inconsistency.
Even McCain seemed to realize the absurdity of any clarification he put forth. He laughed through his answers, which were more convoluted than anything else.
