LAME DUCK BOMBSHELL: DEMOCRATS' $1.1 TRILLION SPENDING BILL

Remember last Christmas when the Democrat controlled Senate insisted on passing Obamacare before the break against the will of the people? On November 2nd, those same American people sent the strongest possible message they could to this congress. That message was not only ignored but the response has been to show even further contempt for the people. This lame duck congress is forcing a $1.1 Trillion more spending down the throats of the American people in the form of another 1924 page Omnibus Bill with over 6488 earmarks.

If you thought the debate over the extension of the current tax rates was going to take center stage, think again. This may just go down in history as the most egregious act by the 111th Congress, which is definitely saving the worst for last.

As has become the norm during the Obama administration, the one leader in Congress who continues to do the right thing while holding true to conservative principles is Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC). He, along with Tom Coburn, are going to insist that the bill be read on the Senate floor before it can be passed.

"All hell is breaking loose," the source told Fox News, noting that Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Jim DeMint of South Carolina were expected to insist the omnibus bill be read in its entirety by the clerk on the Senate floor before a vote is held. They also were expected to seek debate on all earmarks and any amendments.

If the clerk follows the pace of last year's reading of the health care bill -- 53 pages an hour -- it will take almost 40 hours to read the omnibus bill.
