Did Obama throw King Abdullah Under the Bus?

To understand the reasons behind Saudi Arabia telling the Obama administration to support Hosni Mubarak over the Muslim Brotherhood, requires digging. Why would Saudi Arabia not support the Brotherhood if they are like-minded wahhabists? The answer may lie in how much the Brotherhood loathes the House of Saud for selling out to western interests years ago. In fact, the Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) may have more contempt for Saudi Royalty than for Israel.

HERE is a brief history of the Ikhwan and House of Saud.

That might help explain this from the UK Times:
Saudi Arabia has threatened to prop up President Mubarak if the White House tries to force a swift change of regime in Egypt. In a testy personal telephone call on January 29, King Abdullah told President Obama not to humiliate Mr Mubarak and warned that he would step in to bankroll Egypt if the US withdrew its aid programme, worth $1.5 billion annually.
Obama's actions since the 29th would indicate he has ignored Abdullah's wishes. If, as Percy Sutton indicated in a television interview that was uncovered shortly before the 2008 election, Saudi princes may have bankrolled Obama's Harvard education, the American president is beholden to Abdullah.

Has Obama thrown King Abdullah under the proverbial bus?

Remember this?
