Proof Turkish Government is in Holocaust Denial

France has passed a bill that would make it a crime to deny that Ottoman Turks committed mass genocide against Christian Armenians during WWI. This was a holocaust, just as what happened in Germany in WWII a holocaust. Germany has reconciled and has passed a similar bill. Conversely, the Islamist government that currently rules Turkey isn't so willing to admit its past sins.

Via Daily Mail:
Turkey has reacted with fury after French MPs passed a bill that would make it a crime in France to deny that mass killing of Armenians in 1915 by Ottoman Turks was genocide.

The Turkish ambassador in Paris, Tahsin Burcuoglu, has been recalled in protest after the bill sailed through the National Assembly with a large majority this afternoon.

Ankara had also promised 'grave consequences' in terms of political, economic and military assistance between the two countries if the legislation went ahead.
Why would Turkey care about French law? There is no way Turkey would react this way unless it disagrees with the reality of its past. That should be cause for great concern.

In fact, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan referred to the bill as 'racist.' I guess that means that holocaust denial should be considered 'tolerance.'

That is certainly a new low for the race card being played.

  1. Hi.
A PM that go's around declaring that Muslims don't commit genocide and who destroys Turkish-Armenian ‘Friendship’ Statue In Kars calling it a 'monstrocity'can not be expected to recognise any 'part' in the armenian genocide no matter which country mentions it.

The statue’s sculptor, Mehmet Aksoy: “Erdogan will become the first prime minister, who will destroy a monument to peace.”
