Video: The Appeal and Absurdity of Alex Jones in under three minutes

I must admit, absent Alex Jones' accusation that Piers Morgan is a 'hatchet man for the New World Order', the former seemed to be winning the debate with the CNN host until about the 1:50 mark of this clip. If I had been watching this with a Frank Luntz dial device, you'd have seen my line take a plunge right about there (after dipping slightly during the Piers-is-a-NWO-apparatchik line).

It's easy to see how the overly emphatic indignation of Jones - Ron Paul's biggest media mouthpiece - gathers him a following. That said, the combination of his over-the-top choleric diatribes mixed with his belief that 9/11 was an inside job torpedoes his credibility.

Piers Morgan knew that, which likely goes a long way to explaining his calm demeanor during Jones' rant on the gun control debate. Just before the 2:00 mark, Piers changed the subject and asked Jones who was responsible for 9/11. Without missing a beat, after having carried on a mocking rendition of Morgan's dialect a bit too long, Jones went right into his belief that the Bush administration blew up Building 7.

While Jones made excellent points, his delivery (and 9/11 Trutherism) made Morgan look reasonable, unlike the CNN host's interview with Larry Pratt last month, in which the opposite happened:

If you've ever wondered why talk show host Alex Jones is so effective, it's because his conspiracy theories often contain a significant amount of truth. The problem with Jones has been - and continues to be - his view that entities like the United Nations and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) are the real villains at the end of the thread we're all pulling. He does this while giving the Muslim Brotherhood a pass; that group is nothing more than a tool of the UN and CFR according to Jones.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood is taking over the entire Middle East. Jones never seems interested in looking at the possibility that maybe - just maybe - some things are as they appear. If the UN and CFR are using the Brotherhood to achieve their goals, why are they ceding power to the group? Now, if Jones were to assert that the Brotherhood has infiltrated these groups and that's why they're pushing the Islamic agenda, he'd be onto something. But he doesn't; he simply gives the Brotherhood a pass as being nothing more than UN / CFR lackeys.

He is wrong.

That leads to this video of Jones ripping Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie. First, where Jones is right; he targets Jolie for supporting the NATO action in Libya and for her advocacy of the same thing in Syria. I don't know much about Jolie's positions, but if that's where she is, she's wrong and Jones is right to call her out on it.

That's where Jones goes on his conspiratorial tangent. As the Muslim Brotherhood acquires more power on a near daily basis, with the end goal of reestablishing the Ottoman Empire / Caliphate, Jones ignores that and goes after entities that are actually losing to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Nice try, Alex. Maybe next time.

Video: One more round of Bilderberg protesters

The Muslim Brotherhood has got to love these protesters. That Islamic group truly wants a one world global caliphate and the more people focus on the Bilderbergs' alleged desire for a one world government, the better things are for the Brotherhood. Along those lines, it's no coincidence that the Brotherhood's favorite Republican presidential candidate was Ron Paul.

Here is a montage of the Daily Caller's Jason Weinstein asking the Bilderberg protesters a series of questions they should perhaps spend more time pondering.

One such question has to do with the fact that the Bilderbergs are European and if they're so powerful, how come the European Union is collapsing?

If you believe the adage that says the first person who descends to the level of profanity and insults rather than a cogent and rational argument automatically loses the argument, this is an instant classic to reinforce your belief in that adage. While standing outside the Bilderberg conference at a Marriott Hotel, an unidentified Alex Jones minion (AJm) implied that because Europeans built the hotel and sold it to the Marriott, it was no coincidence that the Bilderberg conference was held there.

When the Daily Caller's Jason Weinstein attempted to explore that line of reasoning, AJm had several miniature explosions go off inside his cranium. The relief valve was his mouth.

Is Alex Jones a Russian Propaganda Agent?

I have long maintained that there is something not right with Alex Jones. Everything is a conspiracy and nothing can be taken at face value. Well, the real conspiracy may actually involve Jones himself. Cliff Kincaid has already made a strong case against Jones. Now this.

Following the largest anti-Kremlin protests since the alleged collapse of communism, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accused the United States of orchestrating the activities of the Russian dissident movement.  In televised remarks on December 8, the former KGB colonel accused Hillary Clinton and the United States government of funding the protests and suggested that the Western powers sent a "signal" to their undercover agents to begin active measures against the country.

"They heard this signal and with the support of the U.S. State Department began their active work," said the KGB man.  "The [U.S.] secretary of state was quick to evaluate the elections, saying that they are unfair and unjust, even before she received materials from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) observers."  He went on to remind the world that Russia is a nuclear power, and he also claimed that the U.S. was "shaking" things up to show the world who is boss in world affairs.

All too quick to wave the Kremlin banner, Alex Jones' Prison Planet has released a flurry of articles supporting Putin's charges by attempting to link the protests with the alleged nefarious involvement of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).  Strategically, they have begun focusing their attention on prominent Russian blogger and attorney Alexey Navalny, whom they accuse of being the prime orchestrator of the over 50,000-strong Russian street protests against fraudulent election returns.  Prison Planet writers have linked him with an activist group known as Democratic Alternate (DA!), which they describe as a "[NED] fund recipient, meaning that Alexey Navalny is an agent of US-funded sedition and willfully hiding it from his followers."

And, of course, when Jones' followers don't like someone, what do they call them? You got it, Neocon.

The NED itself, according to Prison Planet writers, is run by "Neo-Conservative, corporate-fascists who have signed PNAC documents declaring their intentions of acheiving [sic] and maintaining a century of global hegemony." The NED, they say, receives its funding from the U.S. government and operates around the world inspiring U.S.-controlled revolutions such as the "Arab Spring." Of course, behind it all are the nefarious NWO masters, who, among other things, also used the CIA to create al-Qaeda to carry out false-flag attacks against the United States (so goes the Alex Jones thesis).

The damning piece ends thusly:

We must consider the benefits our friends in the Kremlin receive from the promotion of Alex Jones-type conspiracy theories.  The creation of a Faux Right-Wing movement can help Russian/Chinese goals in many ways.  It can spread communist propaganda while at the same time fronting itself as anti-communist; it can train individuals to be reflexively anti-American throughout every tragedy, constantly ready and willing to blame the American government for everything that goes wrong; it further ideologically disarms the United States, making it unable to resist Russian/Chinese objectives; and, best of all, it further spreads a climate of fear, envy, hate, and distrust in a country already torn apart between "left" and "right."  It is high time we pointed a spotlight on the real provocateurs and propagandists in this country.

LYNN WOOLLEY TARGETS MSNBC AND ALEX JONES

From Studio 'L' in Texas, the Secretary of Logic, Lynn Woolley, is calling out MSNBC and Chris Matthews over the documentary intended to demonize the Tea Party Movement by, in part, attempting to paint another Texas-based talk show host, Alex Jones, as the face of the Tea Party. Lynn's emails from Jones supporters have definitely picked up.

Worst of all was Matthews holding up conspiracy-based radio host Alex Jones as a representative of the movement. Jones told Matthews that the country has entered the phase of “deep tyranny,” and that some mysterious force is planning to eradicate up to 99% of the population. But Jones has nothing to do with the Tea Party—and in fact is on videotape disrupting an Austin Tea Party rally with his bullhorn. He’s also associated with “truthers” who contend that 9/11 was an inside job.

Jones cooperated with Matthews, said the most outrageous things he could for the cameras, and then later complained that MSNBC was biased. Please.

The Tea Party, or more correctly, the Bottom-Up Government movement, isn’t about conspiracy nuts or militias or truthers. It comes from the spirit of Samuel Adams who helped organize the original Tea Party to fight back at a government that acted against the will of the people. It is based on the Jeffersonian concept, outlined in the Declaration of Independence, that “Governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

A significant number of Americans have withdrawn their consent. And that’s what Chris Matthews and MSNBC don’t understand.

VIDEO: IS ALEX JONES A TRIPLE AGENT?

I don't even know what a triple agent is but Alex Jones is so conspiratorial, if there is such a thing, he's a candidate. Question: What do Alex Jones and Van Jones have in common? Answer: Both are Truthers. I have long suspected that Alex has simply tapped into the conspiratorial tendencies of many of the young minds in America yearning to be stimulated. His followers uncover some interesting things and occasionally go after the right guy for the right reasons - Al Gore being ambushed in a Chicago bookstore about climategate comes to mind.

On the other hand, I've spoken with several Alex Jones junkies and there is one thing common to almost all of them - EVERYTHING IS A CONSPIRACY. I've often wondered if Jones has an ulterior agenda. If he does, many of his followers have reached a point where they don't believe anything is as it appears. That is a form of mind control and Cliff Kincaid at USA Survival did a video about it. One of the more convincing parts of Kincaid's video is Alex's frequent appearances on Russia Today coupled with his support of Russia during its invasion of Georgia in the summer of 2008.

I think Cliff is onto something here....



Another red flag was raised with me when I saw the video of conservative blogger and American patriot Michelle Malkin berated by an enraged Jones at the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

I don't know how I missed this when it happened but it should be a red flag to anyone who gives Alex Jones credibility. I read Michelle's work daily and I'm in the middle of her latest book right now.

Jones may have some strong arguments but this behavior and tactic just shows he's out of phase with reality (putting it mildly).
