Two Suspects identified in U.S. Embassy attack in Cairo

At act of war was committed against the United States in Cairo on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Now it's being learned that one of two people who could be most responsible is scheduled to visit the United States on September 15th for a business trip. This would be like inviting KSM into the United States after 9/11.

The names of the two men identified by Arabic sources discovered by Walid Shoebat are Wisam Abdul Waris and Nader Bakkar. The reason behind the attack seems to be quite simple - and very Alinsky-esque. The riots were intended to create a crisis that was allegedly caused by an anti-Muslim film, whereby an agenda could be pushed that would criminalize (internationally) attacks on Islam.

Via Shoebat:
The attacks on U.S. Embassies had very little to do with the latest film and much more to do with the old story of the Muhammad Cartoon and the failure of Muslims to prosecute internationally the culprits who drew the Muhammad cartoons. This will be another attempt to change the laws globally.

Wisam Abdul Waris of Dar Al-Hekma (House of Wisdom) – about whom the Nour Salafist party announced publicly that its call to demonstrate was in support of – began a call to push for the passage of laws to be placed in the Egyptian Constitution – as well as internationally – that would make it illegal to criticize Islam.
In an interview posted to YouTube on September 9th, Wisam said the following (translation by Shoebat):
We have moved to review... all the legal procedures today by which we created The Voice of Wisdom Coalition (I’itilaf Sawt al-Hekma); it will hold accountable everyone who insults Islam locally and internationally, in accordance with every country’s laws. We all know the problems Yasser Al-Habib had in London and after that in Berlin… in Germany, an extremist group was allowed to publicize cartoons that insult the prophet in front of the Salafist Mosque in Berlin, through a legal decision. So what we did was to ask Sharabi Mahmoud to reject this legal decision on behalf of the Egyptian people who are Muslim; for this reason, we created this coalition. We also made an official request from the Church in Egypt to issue a public announcement, to state it has nothing to do with this deed.
This is where Nader Bakkar comes in. As a prominent member of the Nour Party, he echoed Wisam's sentiment and the official facebook page of the Nour Party posted the following:
Salafi Nour Party officially joined the Commonwealth of ‘voice of wisdom’ with Wisam Abdul Waris, as well as with Nader Bakkar, the party’s official spokesman and Dr. Ahmed Khalil Khairallah, member of the supreme body.

Said Bakkar:

"Ahmed Khalil, of the supreme body, and I joined the Association of the voice of wisdom with Dr. Wisam Abdul Waris as official representatives from Nour Party and the Salafist call."
On his personal facebook page, Bakkar said the following:
"…after the movie that abused the Prophet (peace be upon him), none will dare object to our determination to put an article in the constitution that criminalizes insults of the divine through portrayal or animation of the prophet, His companions, and all His House and mothers of the believers… this is the least we can do."
It's important to understand that this entire episode smacks of Middle Eastern-style Community Organizing. Ratcheting up the 'never let a crisis go to waste' mantra involves CREATING a crisis that you don't let go to waste. In this case, mobs of Muslims riot while pointing to a film as the source of their rage. Meanwhile, characters like Wisam and Bakkar can help push an agenda that involves criminalizing criticism of Islam.

Saul Alinksy's Rules for Radicals comes in quite handy at this point. In particular, check out Rule #8.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”
So if criminalizing criticism of Islam is on the international agenda of the Muslim world, where is it on the Obama administration's agenda? This video from July of this year should answer that question quite simply. It is an exchange between Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), - one of the five courageous Congressmen who are asking legitimate questions about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the U.S. Government - and Thomas Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division:

Breitbart's Vetting of Obama starts... Today

When he appeared at CPAC last month, Andrew Breitbart pledged that he would vet Barack Obama this election year. That vetting process is going to include the political version of Chinese water torture. The first drip was penned by Andrew before his death and it includes a poster from 1998 that promoted a play about Saul Alinsky. Guess whose name appeared on that poster.

You guessed it.

Via Big Government:
In 1998, a small Chicago theater company staged a play titled The Love Song of Saul Alinsky, dedicated to the life and politics of the radical community organizer whose methods Obama had practiced and taught on Chicago’s South Side.

Obama was not only in the audience, but also took the stage after one performance, participating in a panel discussion that was advertised in the poster for the play.
Aside from having an image of the press release promoting the play, BG has also provided a copy of the flyer.

AlinskyPosterFullRez

Here is some of what Breitbart wrote about the play:
So, what’s in the play? It truly is a love song to Alinsky. In the first few minutes of the play, Alinsky plays Moses – yes, the Biblical Moses – talking to God. The play glorifies Alinsky stealing food from restaurants and organizing others to do the same, explaining, “I saw it as a practical use of social ecology: you had members of the intellectual community, the hope of the future, eating regularly for six months, staying alive till they could make their contributions to society.”
Interestingly, although the play began with Alinsky playing Moses, it ended with Obama's ideological mentor explaining that he preferred going to hell than to heaven:
The play finishes with Alinsky announcing he’d rather go to Hell than Heaven. Why? “More comfortable there. You see, all my life I’ve been with the Have-Nots: here you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of money, there you’re a Have-Not if you’re short of virtue. I’d be asking more questions, organizing them. They’re my kind of people – Hell would be Heaven for me.”

That’s The Love Song of Saul Alinsky. It’s radical leftist stuff, and it revels in its radical leftism.
Fits right in line with Alinsky's dedication in his book, Rules for Radicals:
“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
If this is merely the opening salvo in an all-out offensive against Obama, it's a big one.

Read it all.

Video: Carney asked about Saul Alinsky, avoids question

This is precisely why Newt Gingrich's repetitive attacks on Barack Obama for the latter's ties to Saul Alinsky are so effective. It generates discussion among the media. In this case, Fox's Ed Henry asks White House Press Secretary Jay Carney about Gingrich's charges and gives Carney the opportunity to confirm or deny them.

Carney did neither; he obfuscated and it showed weakness in the administration.

It's clear that by avoiding the question, the truth isn't meant to be known.

Alinsky is Obama's achilles heal.

Democrat Senator Leaves Message for Koch Brothers: Donate to Democrats

If anyone has been demonized by the Democrats' Alinsky-style tactics more than the Koch brothers this year, you'd be hard-pressed to find them. The word 'Koch' was used as a punchline in countless sound bites and on multiple protests signs during the Wisconsin protests. MSNBC has the word in its random rotation of entities to slander and malign. Imagine their surprise when they received a voicemail from Democrat Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) in her capacity as Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) chair, asking for a five-figure campaign contribution.

First up, the voicemail message. CLICK HERE to listen.

You knew the Koch brothers would respond to that. Here is the letter, taken from the Koch Industries website:
Dear Senator Murray:

For many months now, your colleagues in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee leadership have engaged in a series of disparagements and ad hominem attacks about us, apparently as part of a concerted political and fundraising strategy. Just recently, Senator Reid wrote in a DSCC fundraising letter that Republicans are trying to “force through their extreme agenda faster than you can say ‘Koch Brothers.’”

So you can imagine my chagrin when I got a letter from you on June 17 asking us to make five-figure contributions to the DSCC. You followed that up with a voicemail* indicating that, if we contributed heavily enough, we would garner an invitation to join you and other Democratic leaders at a retreat in Kiawah Island this September.

I’m hoping you can help me understand the intent of your request because it’s hard not to conclude that DSCC politics have become so cynical that you actually expect people whom you routinely denounce to give DSCC money.

It is troubling that private citizens taking part in the discourse have become the targets of White House and DSCC fundraising missives, and we would certainly encourage you to rethink that approach. Ultimately, I expect voters will see through that and will weigh the issues on the merits alone. But in the meantime, if you could provide me some insight on what exactly you are asking of us and why, I would be most grateful.

Sincerely,
Philip Ellender
President, Government & Public Affairs
Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC
Gotta say. That's one heckuva strategy. I urge and encourage you to give it a shot. Ingratiate yourself to someone by slandering them incessantly and then ask for their support.

A better example of liberal logic you will not find.

Video: William F. Buckley vs. Saul Alinsky in 1967

This is only the first five minutes of a full hour but it's definitely worth watching. One conservative icon does battle with the founder of Community Organizing. This exchange is a look into the essence of the modern day battle between the Tea Party and the union thugs. The legacies of both men have ballooned significantly since their deaths. Buckley gets the better of this exchange and Alinsky ends up on the wrong side of semantic battles he actually created. For example, Buckley calls him on a quote attributed to him that referenced 'political pornography' and Alinsky took exception, saying he didn't call anyone a 'political pornographer.' Buckley shoots him down on that issue. The best part comes at the very end; Alinsky basically concedes that Buckley got him after making an analogy using a priest.

The Column that's Changing My Mind on Boehner's Budget Deal

Count me among those who was disappointed with the Republican budget deal as well as with House Speaker John Boehner's insistence on not shutting down the government. I still think it was a mistake for him to play his hand too early by saying Republicans wouldn't do it. Until reading this column from Quin Hillyer, I was more than a little adamant that we shouldn't raise the debt ceiling either. Hillyer's take on what the consequences of doing such things might be are worth considering. Hint: it has to do with Saul Alinsky, Obama's ideological hero.

Don't Let Alinsky Win:
Conservatives itching for an all-or-nothing showdown with Barack Obama risk playing right into his hands. A crisis is exactly what he wants. To understand this, it is necessary, once again, to understand that most of his playbook comes from radical organizer Saul Alinsky, and that his playbook also assuredly draws on the work of professors he encountered at Columbia University, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.

"The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength," wrote Alinsky in Rules for Radicals. "The first step in community organization is community disorganization. The disruption of the present organization is the first step…."

Cloward and Piven, meanwhile, called for "a political crisis… that could lead to legislation for a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty." They propose actions that "would generate severe political strains, and deepen existing divisions…. [B]y the collapse of current financing arrangements, powerful forces can be generated for major economic reforms at the national level." And: "Advocacy must be supplemented by organized demonstrations to create a climate of militancy."

A crisis is Obama's friend. An angry reaction is his ally. Disorder is his goal.

His mortal enemy (speaking tactically), on the other hand, is steady, sober, thoughtful, rational pressure by political adversaries who are willing to take the time to consolidate gains, explain themselves, reassure the public that it (the public) has nothing to fear from them (Obama's adversaries), and which constantly calibrates their words and actions to make it evident that they are keeping the moral high ground. A government shutdown does not fit this model. Forcing a debt crisis does not fit this model. Incendiary rhetoric doesn't fit the model, nor do all-or-nothing ultimatums.

This is not -- repeat, not -- to advocate a weak cautiousness. Boldness in trying times is definitely a strength. But it should be a well-planned boldness of considered actions -- preferably "gamed out" in advance -- rather than a reactive or (even worse) angry recklessness. Rep. Paul Ryan's budget plan, for instance, is probably the boldest proposal put forth with unified Republican support in well over a decade. Yet it didn't come out of nowhere. It was carefully crafted, carefully rolled out, and sold by a man of high intelligence whose looks and demeanor are more that of the reliably do-gooder brother than they are of the ogre the liberals want to portray. It is exactly the right sort of gambit.
You also might notice that videos of Obama's minions are popping up all over the place lately saying even more outlandish things with greater frequency. It's not often that an Op-ed changes my mind so drastically but this one just might do it.

Read it all.

This should serve as a serviceable metaphor. The charging horses represent the Democrats, Braveheart's men represent the Tea Party, and the spears represent the 2012 election.

Videos: Andrew Breitbart Smacks Down MSNBC Interviewer

Andrew Breitbart appeared on MSNBC for an interview with Martin Bashir to promote his new book, Righteous Indignation: Excuse me while I save the world. If anyone on the right needs a case study on how to deal with Alinsky smear tactics, just watch this video because Bashir lays it on thick. At one point he holds up a picture of Obama's face on a chimpanzee and asks Breitbart what he thinks of it. It was truly the visual equivalent of the notorious question, 'When did you stop beating your wife?' It was truly pathetic on the part of Bashir but Breitbart turns the tables on him and wins hands down.

After that interview, Breitbart appeared on Steve Malzberg's radio show and challenged Bashir to prove that he actually read Breitbart's book - like he said he did during the interview. Breitbart threw down $10,000 to sweeten the pot.

VIDEO: HOWARD DEAN EXPLAINS HOW ALINSKY TACTICS GOT OBAMA ELECTED

Howard Dean audio leads this off, during which he is heard talking about a guy named Marshall Ganz who, Dean says is an 'Alinsky disciple.' He then proceeds to talk about how Ganz heavily influenced the Obama campaign. As in all things Alinsky, it's about deception when talking to people about electing a candidate. Quintessential Saul Alinsky is all about the ends justifying the means. After the segment with Dean, watch the video of Camp Obama in the summer of 2007 and you'll see Ganz in action.

VIDEO: HOWARD DEAN WITH HIS MASK OFF

This video of Howard Dean from May of 2010 provides a peak behind the curtain. It also serves as evidence to back up what those on the right have long suspected about leftwing tactics. If you ever wonder if the leftwing talking heads truly believe the rhetoric they're spewing, this should clear it up. They don't. While Dean is instructing students in Austria about how to debate the right, he tells them never to answer the question that's asked. Instead, change the subject to what you want to talk about while demonizing your opponent.

The implication Dean makes in this video is that the left can't defend the indefensible and that the best way to avoid accountability is to smear your opponent. Alinsky at work, folks.

What on earth would make a person like this become a doctor? He's a snake.

VIDEOS: EVIDENCE OF WHITE HOUSE THUGOCRACY?

May 15th - 17th are definitely dates to be familiar with. That is when a group called National People's Action (NPA) will be descending on Wall Street to outwardly demonize and demagogue banks. If not for James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, NPA may have sent ACORN instead but alas, that layer of the onion has already been peeled away. Billed as the Showdown on K Street, NPA is calling all thugs to help them bully bankers.

As we learn more and more about the left, we learn that they love to create various groups with positive sounding names. They do this, in part, to provide cover for the overall movement. If ACORN was the biggest and most powerful left wing group, the jig would be up. If not for groups like the Center for American Progress (CAP), Van Jones may have dropped off into obscurity. Instead, he's a fellow with CAP and has the ear of John Podesta.

Now we appear to have ACORN on steroids, in the form of NPA. Founding Bloggers is reporting that NPA may have more culpability in the housing crisis than ACORN did:
This group is at the very center of the real estate bubble-bust brought on by the dreaded CRA, and they are organizing an army of unions to march on Wall Street and blame the entirety of the economic disaster on the evil rich.
A sister organization of NPA is the National Training and Information Center (NTIC). They have a history of misappropriating federal grant dollars but to keep from getting too confused with all of these acronyms, just know that they all fall under the Community Organizing umbrella. In fact, the downfall of ACORN has left a void that is being filled by NPA and NTIC.

Via Founding Bloggers, here is a video of SEIU president Andy Stern giving a speech in Chicago last year in which he 'rubbed raw the sores of discontent' and directed the subsequent anger at bankers. In reality, as the man who had the most White House visits, Stern is doing the Obama administration's bidding and vice versa. Corporate America and the free market is under attack and these thugs are ginning up anger in order to do it.

Another video that is very important is this one of John McKnight, another Alinsky-ite. McKnight was a mentor of Barack Obama during the latter's indoctrination into the Alinsky methods. McKnight is on the Board of the Gamaliel Foundation, an outfit inspired by Saul Alinsky.

AUDIO: BREITBART GETS INSIDE VIEW OF UNHINGED LEFT

This is, WITHOUT QUESTION, a must-hear! Yes, it's 9 minutes long but it gives clear thinking people an inside look into what we're up against. Andrew Breitbart, the Glenn Beck of the internet, was on-hand in Searchlight, NV - Harry Reid's hometown - for the March 27th Tea Party, which turned out to be a huge success.

Billed as "The Conservatives' Woodstock", Breitbart via phone gives you a firsthand account of the tactics of an angry leftwing mob. Listen as he describes a man pointing people in the wrong direction, threats of bodily harm to him from individuals within the mob, and then almost laughably, the cops are called by members of the mob to arrest Breitbart for something members of the mob did - throwing eggs.

Literally unbelievable.

Folks, some may brush this off as fringe mobs but if true - I understand there is video evidence - it also means that Pallywood has come to America. See for yourself. Here is a short 2006 documentary by Richard Landes in which he dissects the raw footage of a 60 Minutes segment from 2000. It is jaw-dropping not only to watch the tactics of these Palestinians but even more so when you realize that these are the tactics being used by the left here in the U.S.A.

VIDEO: NEWT DISCOVERS WHAT SO MANY ALREADY KNEW

Much ado has been made about how the American people haven't been listened to during the health care debate. However, not enough has been made of how they weren't listened to by their own supposed conservative leaders prior to the 2008 election. Doubly to Newt Gingrich's credit, he accurately portrays what's happening in America today and accepts a "mea culpa" for not listening to those voices that were warning political leaders about Obama.

To his discredit, he - along with so many others - didn't listen to people who knew the truth. There are many just like Gingrich who refused to believe the truth when so many were trying to tell him. John McCain was one of them and for that reason, he should not be re-elected.

via Gateway Pundit

During the 2008 campaign, John McCain insisted that Rev. Wright be off-limits. McCain was wrong in a big way.

Remember this in October, 2008?

BAM! ALLEGED KENYAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE DAN RATHERED?

With each new development in Birth Certifi-gate comes a new reason to see the whole thing as a contrived attempt by someone in the Obama administration to keep people distracted from focusing on the tangible instead of the tangential.

The WASHINGTON INDEPENDENT brings forth some evidence on the alleged "smoking gun" Kenyan Birth Certificate that also carries echoes of Rather-gate.
One of my friends in the small community of Obama “birther”-debunkers passes on quite the discovery: a 1964 “certified copy of registration of birth” from Australia, easily available on Bomford.net, a genealogy site. There are striking similarities between this document and the one Orly Taitz is passing off as a “Kenyan birth certificate” for Barack Obama.
Check out the visual similarities....

I'm starting to get quite frustrated with the loss of otherwise aggressive bull dog alternative journalists focusing on this issue.

THE ABSOLUTELY MOST IMPORTANT BATTLE that needs to be waged RIGHT NOW is against Obama-care. If this battle is not won, our nation could be forever changed (for the worse). This battle needs to be fought through the entire month of August via town halls and justifiably angry voters holding their politicians accountable with peaceful but forceful demonstrations.

There is strength in numbers and all this Birth Certificate controversy is doing is distracting would-be town hall attendees.

Journalists who are so convinced that there is something to Birth Certifi-Gate should, at the very least, WAIT UNTIL THE AUGUST RECESS HAS PASSED to pursue it. Voters who know the importance of defeating this health care bill will focus on it regardless of what happens in Certifi-Gate but those who don't may choose the wrong battle to wage.

Even if there were something to Obama's citizenship status and it were uncovered today, he would absolutely benefit from it because these politicians would necessarily feel less heat this month. In fact, at this point, Obama may wish he was born in Kenya so he can get EVERYONE off the backs of his already sharp-elbowed and strong-armed democrats that are shaking in their boots while looking up from the bottom of Obama's pockets. Does anyone truly think any of whom would stand up and impeach him / remove him from office if it were learned that he's not eligible? They hide under their desks every time Emanuel comes knocking as it is.

The only answer is that these whack job politicians need to feel more heat from their constituents than from Rahmbo because as scared of Emanuel as they may be, they're more scared of losing their jobs. With every person that chooses the empty Birth Certificate shell comes less heat turned up on those who need it.

Besides, isn't it a coincidence that this "smoking gun" surfaces just as the August recess is commencing?

As the church lady once said, "How convenient".

Another example is Gates-gate. I believe Obama's "stupidly" comment was said on purpose in order to create the same kind of distraction that this Birth Certificate controversy has created. IT TAKES HEAT OFF OF THE PEOPLE ON WHOM IT NEEDS TURNED UP.

People who believe this is not an Alinsky-inspired distraction need to read Rules for Radicals to understand what is happening.

WARNING: ALL HANDS ON DECK

If you support Obama-Care, good luck to ya. If your thought processes are actually working, you need to get busy contacting a few people. In particular, the Senate Six and tell them to CEASE AND DESIST with these backroom deals.

DOUG ROSS TELLS US that two backroom deals are being struck RIGHT NOW so that this disastrous monstrosity called a health care bill can be passed before the August recess, which is set to begin Friday.

Call these SENATORS TODAY and remember that Saul Alinsky's Rule #8 is being used right now by Rahm Emanuel to get this bill done this week:

The "Senate Six":
Max Baucus: 202-224-2651
Chuck Grassley: 202-224-3744
Kent Conrad: 202-224-2043
Jeff Bingaman: 202-224-5521
Olympia Snowe: 202-224-5344
Mike Enzi: 202--224-3424

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Is this what you want?

Another Alinsky tactic is being used by Obama on Thursday. Namely, a beer at the White House between him, Sgt. Crowley, and Henry Louis Gates. Isn't it all so convenient?

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

DID OBAMA OPEN UP GATES-GATE ON PURPOSE?

What was the intent of Obama's presser on July 22nd? Answer: To make the case for Obama-Care while garnering necessary Senate and Congressional support for it. Was the "acted stupidly" comment a calculated risk based on Alinsky-style tactics?

Possibly.

It's widely acknowledged that what killed Hillary-care in the early 1990's was the endless media coverage that came with laser beam-like focus on the details. The closer it was examined, the more it soured people. It wilted and died under intense spotlight.

Since this past July 22nd, Obama has been able to distract attention away from healthcare and re-direct it to an issue of race (a rather inflammatory one at that). Maybe he underestimated the backlash but then again, the bigger the backlash, the bigger the distraction. Besides, he was overheard saying that if the Healthcare bill is defeated, it would "destroy" his presidency. Perhaps it was a drastic measure chosen for a desperate time.

And guess what? Gates-gate is alive and well right now because Obama has decided to keep it alive with a Happy Hour at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue which is scheduled to take place ONE DAY before Congress' August recess is set to begin. Why not wait until the recess for the beers?

Guess what else? The tingley-legged Oba-Media has been fixated on the Cambridge race incident even when doing so is a loser for Obama. The mainstream media doesn't do that. So why would they in this case? Have they been instructed to?

Take a look at Obama's ideological hero, Saul Alinsky.

ACCORDING TO ALINSKY:
...the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. "The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength."
If true, this would take Obama's tendency to throw friends under the bus to a new low because of what he's done to his friend Henry Louis Gates for the "greater good".

The White House has already conceded that Obama was expecting a question to be asked about the Gates incident so he had time to rehearse and rehash his response. There's even been banter about the person who asked it (Lynn Sweet) having it issued to her by the White House.

As I watched the 7/22 Presser, I remember rolling my eyes in disbelief at Sweet's question. It didn't fit the script, it was the final question, and it was an apparent innocuous softball that was completely off-topic.

And Obama continues to keep it in the news by having all parties involved over to the White House for a beer, which will serve as a further distraction from the Healthcare debate.

Then again, this many distractions would make anyone thirsty.

"If we keep on getting distracted by this problem, then we are not solving it."
- Barack Obama / November, 2007

Andrew Walden at Hawaii Free Press maintains that Obama is using this same Alinsky tactic to keep the Birth Certificate controversy going.

VIDEO: White House Beginning to WRITHE in Desperation

Hot Air began reporting on this yesterday and Real Clear Politics has the video of the Fox News Alert from this morning. In any case, it appears that Obama's preference to outsource strong-arm tactics to his Community Organisms is giving way to the, "If you want to get something done right, you have to do it yourself" adage.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has been a thorn in the side of Obama's reckless economic policies for a while now but they apparently crossed the line last week when CBO Chief Doug Elmendorf gave a resounding THUMBS DOWN to the Obama Health Care debacle.

In true Chicago-Way style, Obama allegedly attempted to bully Mr. Elmendorf into coming around to see "reason" by summoning him to the White House for some canoli. Fox News picked up the story. Check out the Video here. Doesn't this remind you of the Inspectors General scandals? Like the IG's, the CBO chief is SUPPOSED to report to Congress. Like the AmeriCorps IG Gerald Walpin, Obama appears to have thumbed his nose at the law.

Lastly, here are the applicable Alinsky rules Obama likely referred to in deciding to summon Elmendorf:

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose.

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

h/t to Hot Air for linking to the Fox News story

Obama Projects Fear-mongering

Merriam-Webster's definition of Projection: the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects ; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety

When someone has a strong argument you know it because they address the strongest point(s) presented by the opposition. Whenever Barack Obama argues a point, he never seems to do this which usually indicates a weak argument. What he continues to do is AVOID his opponents' strongest points entirely.

We saw this on display when he took the position that ousted president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, should be reinstated because he was duly elected. The strongest point of the opposition is that Zelaya attempted to break the rule of law by disregarding the Constitution while the Supreme Court, Congress, and Military of Honduras all supported the ouster on Constitutional grounds. To this point, I've not seen ONE instance where Obama has acknowledged this reality.

On to Healthcare. Financial Times is reporting that Obama is whipping out the FEAR card which his ideological mentor, Saul Alinsky LOVED to use. This is a sign of desperation. He's also using the OBSTRUCTION card.

The problem is that the FEAR card is being played to communicate that if the new health care bill isn't passed, our health care system will basically collapse. That is a lie. The American health care system is THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Obama doesn't address that issue, which means his argument is weak along those lines.

Next, the OBSTRUCTION card. Obama would have you believe that health care legislation is being held up because of partisan opposition. Has anyone noticed who has the overwhelming majority in the House and a Filibuster-proof majority in the Senate? What Obama is NOT addressing is the fact that the legislators who are "obstructing" are in his own party. Again, he does not address his opposition's strongest point(s) which is why his argument is made weak.

That leads me to Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, RULE #10, which says....
The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. AVOID being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”
Notice the word, "AVOID"? Obama is the King of "AVOIDING" the strongest points presented by his opposition. This indicates a WEAK position, which is likely why Alinsky was big on BULLY TACTICS. It may also go a long way in explaining why co-opting the media was so important.

Now for Mr. Obama's PROJECTION...

He's playing the FEAR card, right? The problem is that HE'S actually the one instilling the fear and NOT his opposition. His opponents want to slow down, think this through, and not sign a huge piece of legislation they could regret down the road. Meanwhile, Obama is INSISTING that it get passed.

One should step back and ask, "Who's actually afraid here?"

Remember that Obama's stance is that the American Healthcare system is broken (despite it being the best in the world) while accusing his opposition of causing fear by remaining calm while HE wants them to act without thinking or deliberation. WHY is that?

Quoting from the FT report:
With his own Democrats divided and Republicans determined to kill off legislation before the congressional recess next month, Mr Obama said the country could not afford to continue with a healthcare system that everyone agreed was not working. “But I also think that it’s very easy to scare people that it’s going to get even worse,” he told NBC’s Today show.
Very easy to scare people that it's going to get even worse? Who is he talking about? In any case, that's EXACTLY what HE is doing.

Merriam-Webster's definition of Projection: the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects ; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety

And of course, we couldn't leave out the Alinsky tactic Obama is using with respect to this EXTREME URGENCY to pass a health care bill that actually WILL cause our health care system to end up worse. Much worse.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”
It's how he's run his entire presidency.
