The issue of whether the attack on our Benghazi consulate was the spontaneous result of the anti-Muhammad film or a planned terrorist attack has all but been put to bed. The issue that hasn't been put to bed is why the Obama administration chose to enunciate the false talk track and not the true one - that it was indeed a terrorist attack.
Reports are in abundance that the CIA knew the truth within 24 hours. Yet, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice made the rounds on the Sunday talk shows 120 hours after the attack and repeatedly pushed the notion that it was spawned by the video.
CNN, the network that brought us the contents of Ambassador Christopher Stevens' diary seems to be asking some tough questions. In the exchange below, between Erin Burnett and her network's foreign affairs reporter Elise Labott, we learn that Labott's intelligence contacts told her the CIA knew within 24 hours that the attack on the consulate was coordinated. Yet, somehow the CIA is being expected to take the fall for Rice's comments several days later?
Burnett also asks a very prescient question toward the end of this exchange. Specifically, why wasn't Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the one making the rounds on the 9/16/12 Sunday shows instead of Rice? After all, Stevens was Hillary's employee and the consulate where he was housed was an extension of the State Department, which is out of Rice's purview. Labott essentially says that Hillary's political seasoning and experience likely told her that telling the lie was untenable, she knew it, and someone other than her needed to push it.
On a side note, using the mainstream media's standards for conservatives, why isn't it considered racist to protect Hillary by sending Rice, who happens to be black, out to lie when it was Hillary's lie to tell?
Instead, the buck stops with the... U.N. Ambassador?
Via CNN (h/t Hot Air):
Rice's role in this particular instance is reminiscent of Jim Carrey's role with Globodyne. Sent out to spin the un-spinnable, Carrey takes the fall in much the same way Rice seems to be doing.
Ignore Ralph Nader... if you can.
Now that the lie about the Benghazi attacks being the spontaneous result of an anti-Muhammad film has become all but proven, another question that must be answered is why it was told in the first place. There very well may be several reasons, like spiking the bin Laden football at the DNC, five days before the attack but there's a more nefarious possibility - the same motive the Muslim world has for telling the same lie.
Attacking our first amendment right of free speech.
Let's not forget this exchange between Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) and Thomas E. Perez, Assistant Attorney General over the Civil Rights division, back in July. I've posted this before but in light of Rice's words being demonstrably false, coupled with their being congruent with the Muslim Brotherhood's narrative that the video was responsible, this exchange is perhaps a bit more timely:
Here, you are urged and encouraged to run your mouths about something important.

If the Muslim Brotherhood is successful in America
Metaphor of the day...
If the Muslim Brotherhood's plan in America is realized.
The irony? In Islam, infidels are considered apes.

Video: Excellent Explanation about why SOPA and PIPA bad
Those who don't understand why the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA) are very bad pieces of legislation need to see this video. Clay Shirky breaks it all down in very easy-to-understand terms. It is the entertainment and media industry lobbyists that are behind it and if they get their way, control of the internet is almost guaranteed to be wrested from the people.
Fortunately, the people won a victory this past week when both bills saw a significant reduction in support and were shelved. As Shirky explains here, though, it will not end there. It will come back.
Oh, none other than former Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd is the chairman of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Ya think he's got some connections in Congress?

Video Trailer: Navy SEALs Film to be a Blockbuster
Sorry for the second movie post in a row but they are both important and at least tangentially related. Keep your eyes open this coming February for a war movie that, based on the trailer, is one that is long overdue; it's one that celebrates America's military heroes instead of deriding them. This film is not only about Navy SEALs but features actual ones, which makes it a virtual lock to be better than the one that featured Charlie Sheen (see previous post) as a SEAL in Lebanon. Just based on the trailer alone, Act of Valor success at the box office is certain to be a full-throated rebuke of the trash Hollywood puts out.

Video: Pro-Life American Idol Contestant
Her name is Paris Tassin and she is a contestant on American Idol who passed her New Orleans audition. Of the three judges, Jennifer Lopez was clearly touched more than the others. Tassin discovered she was pregnant at the age of 18 and was advised to have an abortion because her baby was not going to be normal. She decided to give birth and her special needs daughter is who she sings for. It is an emotional video as Lopez's reaction will attest.
This is the kind of thing that can wake people up and convert them.

MACHETE DIRECTOR RODRIGUEZ BACK-PEDDLING
The protagonist in the film, 'Machete' is played by Danny Trejo. His character is a hero to the illegal aliens in the United States. In the film, he is recruited to assassinate a U.S. Senator - played by Robert DeNiro - who is cracking down on illegal immigration. Trejo ends up being shot himself and proceeds to take out his vengeance on those who did him wrong. The film was directed by Robert Rodriguez and shot in Austin, TX.
The trailer served as a lightning rod for controversy, starting off with Trejo delivering a Cinco de Mayo message to Arizona. The fallout from that has been significant. Rodriguez is known for his controversial statements and films but it appears the heat from the backlash may be getting to him.
Breitbart's Big Hollywood has the story courtesy of an interview with Rodriguez that involved questions about the trailer:

Breitbart's Big Hollywood has the story courtesy of an interview with Rodriguez that involved questions about the trailer:
Rodriguez’s response to the uproar that followed the release of this trailer?: Just kiddin’! According to him, it’s not the actual movie that’s all about ginning up racial divisions … just the trailer, I guess.Be sure to read it all because Rodriguez demonstrates that he is quite uncomfortable when held accountable. For far too long, these far left whack jobs have experienced no real consequences for their actions. We're seeing that there is a level of public pressure that can have an impact on these people. Go figure. It doesn't involve intimidation or threats - just truth and accountability.
You know, three minutes of race baiting, but thankfully not ninety.
You gotta love the way the Hollywood mind works.
But as with all things Leftist Hollywood, you have to look and read closely. The backlash was obviously unexpected and so Rodriguez poses as the innocent and tries to laugh the whole thing off as a misunderstanding. But buried deep in a rather tortured explanation and disguised as a throwaway is the real story:
RODRIGUEZ: I will admit that there were a few scenes that became so real in the past month because of what’s going on that they’ll be best left as a fascinating case study for the DVD extras. This will be my best DVD special features to date, that’s for sure.
Here's that lovely trailer too..

VIDEO: TEXAS MOVIE IS FUEL FOR RACE WAR
When I first saw this trailer a few weeks ago, I was quite disturbed by it but decided not to post it. I've changed my mind for several reasons, not the least of which is the charge that taxpayer dollars may be funding it. As the Arizona law continues to fuel controversy, this film is likely to fuel more than that. If ever there was an example of yelling fire in a crowded theater, this film might just do it without anyone in the audience saying a word.
The name of this disgraceful film is, "Machete" and it was produced by Robert Rodriguez. It was filmed in Austin and has that Quentin Tarantino feel to it but with an anti-American, pro-Illegal alien theme. Those familiar with Tarantino's work know what kind of explosive combination that is.
The Texas Film Commission is a taxpayer funded entity overseen by the Governor of that state - Rick Perry. HERE is a link to a page on TFC's website that actually mentions Machete.
Here is the relevant excerpt:
A website called the Morrison Report is encouraging people to fax their complaint to Rick Perry and TFC Bob Hudgins. The link provided also includes an e-fax template, making the process easy. Perry, governor of the largest border state with Mexico has not exactly been standing with Arizona, a state that is increasingly needing support. All Perry says is that Arizona's law wouldn't be right for Texas. When you couple that with the prospect that the TFC could be subsidizing a film that actually singles out Arizona by name in the trailer below while placing the state in the crosshairs of an increasingly heated debate, Perry has some 'splaining to do.
The cast of this despicable film includes the following individuals who, by their very participation will likely be complicit in inflaming racial tensions.
* Robert DeNiro
* Don Johnson
* Lindsay Lohan
* Jessica Alba
* Cheech Marin
* Steven Seagal

Texas Film Commission Director BOB HUDGINS joins us for a conversation and Q&A, during which he'll give us an update on production in Texas and our new and improved incentives program for film, tv, commercial and video game makers -- who should definitely attend! Thus far, the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program has helped bring films like Machete, Predators and True Grit to Texas, along with television series like Friday Night Lights, The Deep End and Code 58, as well as numerous video game and commercial productions. In fact, after our legislation (HB 873) was signed last April, the program awarded over $22 million in production incentives through 2009, generating $184.5 million in Texas production spending and nearly 11,000 Texas cast and crew jobs by year's end. Don't miss your chance to hear the latest from Bob on how we're doing so far in 2010, and what's on the horizon this year.Big Hollywood has more about confirming that taxpayer dollars via the Texas Film Commission actually helped fund this film.

VIDEOS: WHY TOM HANKS IS A WHACK JOB
I happen to be one of those geeks who checks Rasmussen's Daily Presidential Approval Index every day, wondering who on earth still falls in the "Strongly Approve" category when it comes to Barack Obama's job performance. Every time I look at it, I shake my head out of sheer pity for the sorry saps as I wonder who they are.
Thanks to MSNBC's Morning Joe, I've found one of them and it's Tom Hanks! Two videos of Hanks' appearance on MJ. In the first, you will see Hanks reaffirm his love for the One just prior to attacking those who want Obama's policies to fail. This first video is a perfect setup for exposing Hank's hypocrisy via the second video.
Ok, did you notice how Hanks takes aim at the unnamed group of people who are preventing the big bad American government from delivering the much needed - and requested - help to the citizens who need it? Keep that bleeding heart trait in mind as you watch Hanks mock the contingent of America that makes up the Tea Party Movement:
Shameless hypocrisy on display. I wonder if all that time dressing in drag adversely impacted Mr. Hanks.

VIDEO: EVERYONE WILL WORK FOR SWARM
Seemingly every day, I see something Barack Obama says or does and think, 'surely, this will convince some of the 30% of people who strongly approve of his performance that he is doing us harm.' Then I see something like this and realize there is just no hope (pun intended) for a significant amount of people.
The Hollywood whack jobs are at it again. This time, in an exceedingly long and ponderous montage of oath-taking and pledges to "be a servant to our president". And, oh, by the way, this is a NEW video.
Be sure to watch for Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers pledge to serve "Barack (kiss) Obama (kiss)". Unfortunately, the most outlandish part requires you to either sit through the ponderous 4 minutes until you get to the end OR fast forward as Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore (with other voices off camera) actually say,
As I watched this one, I remembered a cartoon episode from Spiderman and his amazing friends back in the 1970's (at bottom of this post) where a swarm of bees put people in a trance, making them all "bee people" ("B" as in "Barack").
EVERYONE WILL WORK FOR SWARM!
