Who is the Best Anti-Islamist Republican Nominee?

The silence - and in some cases, outright approval for - the Islamist threat when it comes to the current field of Republican nominees is more than just a little disturbing. In the case of Herman Cain, he talked tough at first but then folded by apologizing to the president of the Islamic Society of North America, Mohamed Magid while visiting the latter's mosque. New Jersey governor Chris Christie raised eyebrows after appointing an Islamist-sympathizer to a superior court judgeship and then ridiculed those who objected. For a time, it looked like Christie would not run but with Rick Perry's early success, he may be back in as a prospect.

Robert Spencer analyzes this over at Human Events:
Texas Gov. Rick Perry has set many a heart a-flutter by joining the hunt for the Republican presidential nomination, but not so fast: Hard-Left advocacy journalist Justin Elliott of Salon hailed Perry as the “pro-Sharia candidate,” and exulted that Perry “is a friend of the the Aga Khan, the religious leader of the Ismailis, a sect of Shia Islam that claims a reported 15 to 20 million adherents worldwide. Sprouting from that friendship are at least two cooperation agreements between the state of Texas and Ismaili institutions, including a far-reaching program to educate Texas schoolchildren about Islam.”

The Ismailis are a peaceful sect, but such educational efforts are unlikely to be honest about the Islamic texts and teachings that jihad terrorists use to justify violence and make recruits among peaceful Muslims. Nor are they likely to be forthright about Islam’s bloody history of war against and conquest and subjugation of Jews, Christians, Hindus and others. All that is likely to be whitewashed, especially given Perry’s apparent friendship with Republican power broker Grover Norquist.

David Horowitz wrote years ago that Norquist was working with “prominent Islamic radicals who have ties to the Saudis and to Libya and to Palestine Islamic Jihad, and who are now under indictment by U.S. authorities.” Norquist is unrepentant and continues to partner with Islamic supremacists.
As for Christie, he has openly embraced an Islamist with Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood ties while promoting that Islamist's attorney to the judgeship:
Also among the presidential hopefuls, albeit as yet undeclared, is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who this year appointed a Muslim attorney, Sohail Mohammed, to a Superior Court judgeship in Passaic County. Mohammed was the lawyer for Mohammad Qatanani, a Muslim Brotherhood operative who pleaded guilty to membership in the jihad terror group Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Christie knew this, yet called Qatanani “a man of great good will” and “a constructive force,” and fought Department of Homeland Security efforts to deport him. When challenged, Christie defended his actions and went out of his way to slam opposition to Sharia in the U.S. as “crap.”

Is Qatanani entitled to legal representation? Of course. Should Mohammed's taking of the case stigmatize him as sympathetic with Qatanani's pro-jihad views and ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood? Certainly not. But when Christie praises Qatanani as a “constructive force” and fights his deportation despite knowing of his membership in a jihad terror group (Hamas) and the Islamic supremacist group par excellence (the Muslim Brotherhood), and then appoints his lawyer to a judgeship, it becomes clear what is going on here.
The question of who in the Republican field understands the threat becomes increasingly more important. Rick Santorum gets it but he's on his way out of the race. Bachmann might but she hasn't said much about it. Aside from that, no one in the current field has given any indication of grasping the clear and present danger from the Islamist movements inside our own borders.

Walid Shoebat Translates Arab Words of Muslim Brotherhood Leader

Walid Shoebat used to be a Muslim terrorist for the PLO and the Muslim Brotherhood in Chicago. He also speaks Arabic. Last summer, he was instrumental in exposing the Ground Zero mosque Imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf when he translated the Imam's Arabic into English. Now he has translated the words of a man named Louay Safi, once head of a Muslim Brotherhood offshoot known as the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT).

Via WND:
In order to find out which non-Arab nation they seek, we need to read the thoughts of the Arab-pro-Muslim-Brotherhood scholars in Arabic, not in English. Take the renowned Islamic scholar Louay Safi who served as the executive director of research for the International Institute of Islamic Thought in the U.S. (IIIT), who recently wrote:

"The model for reform and the alternative to the Shiite Iranian model will rise again from outside the Arab region, namely from Turkey. The Turkish model, represented by the ruling Justice and Development Party, has Islamic roots. The AK Party seeks to restore the Republic of Turkey to its cultural context and cultural history, and represents the current phase of the advanced variety of the Islamic movement in Turkey." [Middle East Online, Feb. 1, 2011, Arabic translation mine]
It would seem that Mr. Shoebat is an intelligence gold mine, that is if our leaders were truly interested in identifying the real enemy. He's also been saying for quite some time now that the west needs to keep its eyes on Turkey because that will be where the Muslim Brotherhood consolidates its power.

VIDEO: REP. MIKE PENCE THROWS DOWN GAUNTLET WITH TURKEY

Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) delivered a strong statement to Turkey from the House floor today. In addition to adamantly stating that the United States will stand with Israel, he declared there 'is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza'. If there is one, it's caused by those running it - Hamas. It's something any clear thinking individual knows but it's good to see it come out of the mouth of a U.S. Congressman. Pence also delivers with passion.

Back in March, Pence voted against a resolution calling for a vote on whether what the Ottoman Turks did to the Armenians in the early 20th century should be labeled as "genocide". Based on his passion here, I think he might vote 'yes' if he had to do it over again.

FORT HOOD SHOOTER USED SLIDESHOW TO TELEGRAPH ACTIONS

Nineteen Jihadist hijackers killed 3000 people on 9/11. One Jihadist killed 14 people on 11/5 (yes, I count the baby being carried in the womb of one of the dead as a murdered human being). Before I get to how clearly Nidal Malik Hasan appears to have telegraphed his actions with a 50 page powerpoint presentation, let's go back less than one decade.

The 9/11 commission determined that there were breakdowns within our government which, had they not occurred, could have prevented the Islamic terror attacks that brought down the World Trade Center and killed nearly 3000 people. The title of Chapter 8 in the 9/11 Commission Report is in quotes. It says, "THE SYSTEM WAS BLINKING RED".

Quoting from page 265 of that report, also in chapter 8:
In sum, the domestic agencies never mobilized in response to the threat. They did not have direction, and did not have a plan to institute. The borders were not hardened. Transportation systems were not fortified. Electronic surveillance was not targeted against a domestic threat. State and local law enforcement were not marshaled to augment the FBI's efforts. The public was not warned.

The terrorists exploited deep institutional failings within our government.....
The last sentence there pretty much says it all when you look at the case of Nidal Malik Hasan, which brings me to the slideshow he presented. Barry Rubin does a thorough analysis of it:
Hassan is the first terrorist in history to give an academic lecture explaining why he was about to attack. Yet that still isn’t enough for too many people—including the president of the United States--to understand that the murderous assault at Fort Hood was a Jihad attack.

It was reported that the audience was shocked and frightened by his lecture. He was supposed to speak on some medical topic yet instead talked on the topic: “The Koranic World View as it Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military.” All you have to do is look at the 50 Power Point slides and they tell you everything you need to know.
Be sure to read Rubin's breakdown. Here's the WHOLE THING. To view all 50 slides from Hasan's presentation, CLICK HERE.

We are not even two weeks removed from the Fort Hood massacre and it is looking more and more like the red flags that were missed in this case make the red flags missed in the months before 9/11 look pink. Yet, the Chief of Staff of the entire U.S. Army is more concerned that diversity is protected and the president of the United States wants Congress to delay an investigation.

MICHAEL SAVAGE: NEW INFORMATION ON HIS BAN FROM GREAT BRITAIN

If true, a quintessential example of how the "fair and balanced" paradigm, if taken to extreme, can lead to absurdity. The London Daily Mail is reporting that emails written by British Home Office officials may indicate that putting Savage on the banned list may have been a calculated attempt not to show bias toward the Muslim community.
Emails written by Home Office officials privately acknowledged the ban on Mr Savage would provide 'balance' to a list dominated by Muslims - and linked the decision to Gordon Brown and Foreign Secretary David Miliband.
Check out the entire article here.
One message, sent by an unidentified Home Office official on November 27 last year, said that 'with (Savage), I can understand that disclosure of the decision would help provide a balance of types of exclusion cases'.
If there is any truth whatsoever to this, it speaks volumes with respect to the lack of courage on the part of British leadership. This line of logic is akin to racial quotas in prisons instead of incarceration based on the rule of law.
A further email confirmed the decision was approved at the highest level of Government, saying: 'HO [Home Office] intend to include (Savage) in their quarterly stats... Both the FS [Foreign Secretary] and PM [Prime Minister] are firmly behind listing and naming such people.'
Prime Minister? That would be the Obama sycophant, Gordon Brown, would it not?

Western society seems to be going through an inordinate amount of infighting and polarization these days. This kind of thing can be the manifestation of an unwillingness to muster the courage necessary to confront an actual enemy. Radical Islamists are the enemy of western civilization right now despite our insistence on not offending them by declaring war on a tactic (terror), which has apparently ALSO become too incendiary. Fear of standing up to the real threat is something that can't be admitted. The cowardly lion had more courage than western leaders. At least he had the courage to admit his cowardice.

Leaders in the west (and in this case, Great Britain), won't do that. Instead, they attempt to justify cowardly positions and decisions in the name of fairness and political correctness. The real irony here is that by targeting people like Michael Savage, they are further helping the unnamed enemy that insists on destroying them. World Net Daily quotes Savage of putting it this way: "The name Dreyfus comes to mind. They have attempted to destroy my reputation to avoid offending those Muslims who want to destroy them! The Warsaw ghetto comes to mind, where some Jews threw other Jews into gestapo hands to live another day." Hard to argue that one if the motives of the Home Office are what they are alleged to be.
