Sheriff Joe Presser: 'Probable cause' that Obama Birth Certificate a 'Forgery'

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his 'Cold Case posse,' led by Mike Zullo had a press conference yesterday to bring people up to speed on where their investigation stands with regard to Barack Obama's Birth Certificate, as well as the president's Selective Service document. The conclusion at this point is that there is 'probable cause' the documents are 'fraudulent' and that a 'forgery' has been committed in both cases.

Armed with a new 10-page report he commissioned, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Thursday he suspects the birth certificate President Obama released last year is a “computer-generated forgery” — and also raised questions about the authenticity of the president’s selective service registration card.

In an extensive — and at times combative — press conference in Phoenix, Sheriff Arpaio repeatedly said he is not questioning the president’s legal status under the Constitution nor alleging fraud on Mr. Obama’s part, but did say there is evidence crimes have been committed by someone and his investigation continues.

“Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic,” Sheriff Arpaio said. “My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”

Much of the press conference mirrored what has already been done on the internet by graphic artists who used presentations to demonstrate why the document is a forgery but there were moments that made eyebrows cock.

For example, Zullo mentioned that efforts were made to obtain passenger manifests for all flights coming into Hawaii from overseas over a ten year span. Any such flights during the 1960's would have been either Pan-Am or TWA. Though the manifests no longer exist, they were able to get ten years worth of INS records from the National Archives. Apparently, in reviewing them, the records from August 1, 1961 - August 8, 1961 were all missing (Obama's Birth Certificate says he was born on August 4th).

Another moment involved an affidavit from a former government employee who swore that in the early 1980's, he was introduced to Barack Obama on the front lawn of the home belonging to Bill Ayers' mother.

There was also an announcement that the 'Cold Case posse' has a person of interest relative to the alleged creation of Barack Obama's Birth Certificate but would not reveal it.

Another area of focus for the 'posse' was Barack Obama's Selective Service registration form, which I've always viewed as more suspect than the Birth Certificate.

In any event, Arpaio seemed to somewhat throw up his hands while pledging to carry on with the investigation. As a former federal employee, he seemed to concede that any agency having jurisdiction in this case seems disinterested in pursuing it. He's basically admitting that if Hawaii's state investigators will do nothing to further the investigation, the only place to get justice is Congress, which is nowhere near being interested in pursuing it.

So, it looks like Arpaio is left with looking for any smoking gun that might exist, on his own.

Senator Sheriff Joe Arpaio?

Making the news lately is that Arizona Senator John Kyl (R) will not be running for re-election in 2012. Some have speculated that Gabrielle Giffords would be a shoe-in after she makes what could be a full and miraculous recovery. There is another scenario that could play out if Sheriff Joe Arpaio follows through on this trial balloon. America's favorite sheriff has indeed floated his name as a possible contender for Kyl's seat. Gotta love the idea of every prisoner in the state of Arizona wearing pink.

Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Monday he is open to the possibility of running for the seat of retiring Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) in 2012.

Arpaio, the conservative sheriff famous for his hard-line anti-immigration stances, made the remarks in light of a poll released today by Summit Consulting Group Inc., which is fundraising for Arpaio's reelection campaign for sheriff. The company's Chad Willems is Arpaio's campaign manager.

Arpaio said the deciding factor is neither the money, which he said he could raise, nor his ability to do the job. Rather, he said, it's whether he would be willing to leave his job as sheriff.

Arpaio has served as sheriff for five terms and is currently running for a sixth. But, he said, that doesn't mean he won't run for the Senate.

"The issue is whether I want to leave this office and go to Washington and try to make a difference there, which I would do if I run and win," Arpaio said.

Imagine McCain and Arpaio as Arizona's two Senators. Wouldn't you love to count the number of face palms Arpaio delivers every time McCain showcases his RINOism?

Sheriff Joe Arpaio continues to impress. Who'd have thought that he could get his inmates, already donning pink garb, to sing Christmas carols? He did so by holding court over 'Inmate Idol' and the winner received a Christmas dinner with all of the trimmings. Take note how much everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves while taking part. No doubt, there will be some on the left who will call it demeaning and an outrage that Arpaio would put his inmates through such a traumatic experience.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is ramping up as the Feds continue trying to choke him down. Arpaio currently has 57 volunteer armed posses at his disposal and he's adding a 58th. The mission? Immigration and human smuggling law enforcement. America's sheriff is making it obvious he will not be intimidated by the Department of Justice.

MORE ABOUT THE ASST AG SUING JOE ARPAIO

The name at the top of the federal lawsuit filed on September 2nd against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is that of Assistant Attorney General Thomas E. Perez. This is an important name to know because of what has been learned about him. For starters, this is the same Thomas Perez named by J. Christian Adams, former Attorney within the DOJ's Civil Rights division as the man over whose actions he appeared to resign.

On June 30th, Adams sat down with Fox's Megyn Kelly and clearly implied - though he did not overtly state it - that Thomas Perez may have lied under oath in front of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights when he testified about the "law and the facts" about the voter intimidation case involving the New Black Panther Party. To see the relevant portion of the interview, fast forward to the 1:46 mark.



With that as a backdrop, if true, the entire lawsuit against Joe Arpaio should be called into question. If J. Christian Adams resigned because the man in charge of the lawsuit against the Maricopa County Sheriff's office lied under oath, what business does that man have being Assistant Attorney General, let alone the spearhead in that lawsuit?

PEREZ SPOKE AT A MUSLIM PUBLIC AFFAIRS COUNCIL EVENT IN 2009

On December 5, 2009 Thomas Perez spoke in front of the MPAC about, among other things, the need for a civil rights division in the Department of Justice. Here is his opening statement:

As‐Salamu Alaykum to all of you. Thank you, Salam, for that introduction and for your dedication and your hard work leading MPAC. MPAC is an organization that represents not just the best of the American Muslim Community, but the best of America.

MPAC has some extremely suspicious ties to radicals, and counts the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) among groups with which it associates. According to Discover the Networks, Mahdi Bray is one of MPAC's leaders.

Mahdi Bray: Political Director. Mahdi Bray, an African-American convert to Islam who had been active in the civil rights movement, is a firebrand. A controversial radio talk show host in Washington DC, Bray is also on the boards of several other Muslim American groups. He organizes rallies and appears frequently on campuses where he uses inflammatory, theatrical rhetoric. It is not clear if he is still MPAC’s Political Director, but he remains on its Board of Directors. He was a guest speaker for New Jersey Solidarity on March 5, 2003, one of the most extreme and virulent anti-Israel groups.

AZ SHERIFF TO OBAMA: 'TIME TO TAKE GLOVES OFF'

Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio has fired back at the Department of Justice in a major way in response to the lawsuit filed against him by the Feds. The lawsuit claims that Arpaio's office refused to turn over documents. In a statement from Arpaio himself, he vehemently disagrees and is obviously not backing down.

From Arpaio's statement:

“The Obama administration has filed three lawsuits against Arizona in the last few weeks ... one against a college district, one against the state of Arizona and now one against my office. Each lawsuit centers on something to do with alleged racial discrimination.

These actions make it abundantly clear that Arizona, including this Sheriff, IS Washington’s new whipping boy. Now it’s time to take the gloves off.

How can you not LOVE this guy?! It doesn't take long for Arpaio to get his gloves off either. In the very next paragraph, he makes it clear what he thinks of this administration and the implication is that it's made up of liars and backstabbers.

They smiled in our faces and then stabbed us in the back with this lawsuit. The Obama administration intended to sue us all along, no matter what we did to try to avert it. Washington isn’t playing fair and it’s time Americans everywhere wake up and see this administration for what it really is. Calculating, underhanded at times and certainly not looking out for the best interests of the legal citizens residing in this country.

Obviously, the DOJ and Obama think Arpaio is acting stupidly. The claim is that Arapio's office is withholding documents. Arpaio's office is claiming they couldn't have been anymore transparent. Based on the Obama administration's track record with respect to transparency, who do YOU believe?

VIDEO: ARPAIO VS. SHARPTON

Perhaps the strongest argument Sheriff Joe Arpaio had against Al Sharpton - renowned race hustling poverty pimp - was that Obama's D.O.J. has been on the former's tail for over a year, trying to intimidate him and / or catch him abusing civil rights. As Arpaio rightfully points out, they've come up with nothing.

Predictably, the race hustling poverty pimp had no coherent response to that one. Maybe he was intimidated by Arpaio's Gun Tie Pin.

SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO MAKING ROBO-CALLS FOR HAYWORTH

None other than Sheriff Joe Arpaio is making robo-calls, inviting people to come out and meet John McCain's biggest headache, J.D. Hayworth, whose campaign doesn't even officially launch until February 15th. Arpaio has been taking on the Feds over immigration for quite some time. It's an underdog story not all that dissimilar from what happened in Honduras, with Roberto Micheletti having to take on the world.

It's also been known for quite some time that Arpaio and McCain don't get along too well, which is not to say the rhetoric doesn't deviate from the cordial realm. That said, actions speak louder than words and Arpaio seems poised to very aggressively back Hayworth. I can only imagine his incentive. When Sheriff Joe was looking for some support from McCain over his enforcement of immigration laws, McCain not only refused to oblige but has historically taken an opposing view, calling for immigration reform and getting in bed with groups like La Raza.

If McCain is good at anything, it's reading the tea leaves and moving to the right, center, or left based on the political climate. He's been silent on the Supreme Court's recent slap down of McCain / Feingold, barely a peep out of him over climate change, and my guess is he's going to talk tough on immigration again, like he did during the 2008 Republican primary (until he won it).

In any even, here's the post on Tuscon Weekly about Arpaio's robo-calls.

As for that dead horse I continue to beat, Sarah Palin agreeing to stump for John McCain in this primary is a big mistake. It very well could play out as Palin v. Arpaio, which is a fight she CANNOT win with the Tea Party movement and it will hurt her badly if it does.

SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO BLASTS JOHN MCCAIN

John McCain's Republican challenger, J.D. Hayworth hasn't even officially announced that he's running - that will happen on February 15th - and the race is already heating up. Joe Arpaio is the underdog sheriff who has been quite the thorn in the side of the Federal government by unapologetically enforcing immigration laws in Maricopa county and has officially endorsed Hayworth while simultaneously blasting McCain's liberal track record.

National Journal reports:

Maricopa Co. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is urging GOPers to shelve Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in favor of ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R), a challenger attacking from the right, in a new letter sent to primary voters.

"Senator McCain has served this country admirably but it's time to replace his moderate or even liberal positions on taxes, the border, social causes and big bank bailouts with a consistent conservative like J.D.," Arpaio writes in the letter. ""I just wish Senator McCain had run as hard against Barack Obama as he is against a conservative like J.D. That could have prevented the harmful, liberal agenda we are all now suffering through."

Yes, he's a divisive figure but Arpaio is likely to garner more support from the rising Tea Party movement than will McCain. Not to beat a dead horse but this very well could put informal Tea Party leader Sarah Palin in the untenable position of being the face of a movement that is likely going to aggressively support the opponent of the candidate she will be stumping for - John McCain.

In opposing Hayworth, Palin will also be opposing illegal immigration enforcer and underdog, Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Palin should have stayed out of this one.

VIDEO: SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO ON NIGHTLINE

I have maintained for some time that if there was a Winston Churchill award, three of the men I would nominate are interim president of Honduras Roberto Micheletti, Czechoslovakia president Vaclav Klaus, and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Something tells me Martin Bashir doesn't view Arpaio's work as all that noble however. Rather than Arpaio being portrayed as he is - someone who is enforcing the law while being bullied by the Federal government, Bashir plays up to Arpaio's prisoners' cries of victimhood.

The true underdog story here is Arpaio v. Napolitano. But in true liberal fashion, Bashir creates a straw underdog and sides with the prisoners.

Pathetically biased but Arapaio holds his own anyway.

Sheriff Joe holds his own with CNN's Rick Sanchez in this clip. At issue is that the Feds (DHS) is trying to intimidate Arpaio into backing off enforcing immigration laws. Arpaio will have none of it. We need a lot more people like Sheriff Joe.
