I know this may be a day or so late but we had technical difficulties with the blog yesterday and thought this too important not to post (there is also a new development anyway).
People in the media business know the downsides and pitfalls of recorded interviews. They can be edited to distort or alter context or, in some cases, relevant material omitted altogether, which is what happened with an interview between CNN's Erin Burnett and Pamela Geller.
First of all, evidence of CNN running interference for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is not new. They were caught red-handed in 2011 collaborating with CAIR according to a man who was the target of a CNN smear levied by Anderson Cooper and Drew Griffin, a proven liar.
On the September 20th, the cable propaganda network aired an interview between Burnett and Geller that had been pre-recorded. The subject of the interview was a judge's ruling to allow Geller's anti-Jihad ads to be posted in the New York City subways. The full-length interview was somewhere between 12 - 14 minutes. However, CNN only aired the first nine minutes of the interview. One might be inclined to say it was for the sake of time and that a programming decision was made to allow for the airing of other content.
That might seem legitimate to some but it was indeed interesting that the interview that aired was cut off at precisely the time when Geller referred to CAIR and the group's involvement in the Holy Land Foundation trial - CAIR's biggest soft spot. The other red flag is the degree to which Burnett is willing to take the opposing view. There is a clear line between playing devil's advocate and being in the tank. Burnett crossed it in this interview.
Geller posted a YouTube on 9/21 that included the entire interview. After the point when CNN cut off what aired live, you only hear the audio, which was recorded by a separate source.
Via Atlas Shrugs:
Later on the 21st, as Geller points out, CNN did post the entire interview.
Here, you are urged and encouraged to run your mouths about something important.

VIDEO: RIFQA BARY FREE FOR ANOTHER MONTH
Rifqa Barry will NOT be sent back to Columbus and will get to stay in Florida....for now. In the August 21st hearing, Judge Daniel Dawson ruled for an investigation and another hearing to be held today. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Dawson kept the findings sealed and is sending the case to mediation with the next hearing set for September 29th:
Another very important development to watch involves the Department of Children and Families (DCF), which seems to be operating on a premise that seeks reuniting all family members instead of one that involves a clean slate. The Sentinel reported...
ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! Ohio authorities have already determined Columbus safe for Rifqa Bary to return to. These "authorities" better be careful that they not submit to cowardice on a massive scale. If Bary is telling the truth (and I believe with near 100% certainty she is), it will mean these "authorities" are complicit, corrupt, negligent, or utter and complete gutless cowards.

MUST SEE VIDEO... Pamela Gellar of ATLAS SHRUGS was in the courtroom today and interviewed a friend of Rifqa Bary, who is also a Muslim convert to Christianity.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) was tasked with investigating the alleged threats, but what the state agency found will remain under a court-ordered seal. The most disturbing excerpt from the ORLANDO SENTINEL had to do with with what the attorney of Bary's mother seems to know:
...a brief courtroom statement from Roger Weeden, the lawyer representing Rifqa's mother, gives some insight. He said there was "a favorable report from FDLE" that says there's no threat to Rifqa, should she be returned to her home.Bartholomew went on to admit that she had concerns about the interview Bary had with the FDLE that did not include attorneys. Before he could finish, however, Weeden was cut off by Rifqa's appointed Guardian Ad Litem, Krista Bartholomew, who reminded the court that the document was under seal.

After the hearing, John K. Cooper, director of the Central Region for DCF, said that mediation will allow the parties to look at several different issues. There are "very complicated issues at hand," he said.Uh, who is Cooper to determine that's a desirable goal? If Bary is right, that'd be like saying, "It's going to take a log of work to put that creature back in the grip of that python."
"It's going to take a lot of work to get this family back together," he said.

I'm in Orlando, Florida, at the Rifqa Bary hearing. Tom Trento of the Florida Security Council, Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs and I held a press conference outside the courtroom a little while ago, for a skeptical and sometimes hostile press. The press conference was disrupted several times by Muhammad Lutfi, an Ohio Muslim with connections to the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations; he has clearly taken a great interest in this case.Frankly, based on all I've read to this point, I'm suspicious of the FDLE, the DCF, and the Orlando Sentinel (that last one is an understatement).
We explained about the jihadist connections of the Noor mosque, about Islamic apostasy law, and about Islamic honor killing. The mainstream media flocked to Lutfi, because he was telling them what they want to hear, but he was lying openly about Islamic apostasy law, denying that Muhammad had said, "If anyone changes his religion, kill him," and when I pointed out that this was in a hadith in Bukhari, the collection of traditions of Muhammad that Muslims consider most reliable, he denied that also.
