BARRACK GUEST HOSTING FOR LYNN WOOLLEY DEC 29TH

The Secretary of Logic (pictured) will be sitting today's show out to enjoy some earned time off during the Christmas break. In his place will be yours truly sitting in from 9am - Noon EST talking about the vital issues of the day and analyzing them with logic aforethought. On the proverbial docket will be an interview with the American Spectator's Jeffrey Lord, who has written a column on the New York Times admission on December 25th that the Death Panels Sarah Palin warned about in the summer of 2009 are being implemented on January 1st courtesy of Health care czar Donald Berwick.

CLICK HERE to listen Live (link at top left).

HERE is Lord's article.

Also up for discussion will be how Texas Governor Rick Perry is going to deal with the EPA's intrusion into his state's business on January 2nd as well as Chris Matthews' apparent endorsement of the Birthers' demands.

Some other things to ponder.....

Why is Michael Bloomberg issuing public statements in Spanish?

Is CPAC destined to be divided over the issue of homosexuality?

What did New Black Panther Party Leader Malik Zulu Shabazz say that should warrant a visit by the FBI?

BARRACK GUEST HOSTING FOR LYNN WOOLLEY 05/31

I'll be guest-hosting for The Secretary of Logic / Logic Czar on Memorial Day, May 31st from 9am-Noon EST from Studio L. On the agenda is the latest on the BP Oil disaster, ACORN Whistleblower Anita Moncrief's new revelations on stealth socialism, Immigration in Arizona (and Texas), and the scandal involving Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Sestak. Joining us at 10:15am EST will be Jeffrey Lord of the American Spectator.

Lord has been following "Jobsgate" since it began. He will, no doubt, provide additional insight into this scandal. I'll be sure to get his take on the exchange between Darrell Issa and Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell on Fox News Sunday.

Oh, we'll also be discussing another interesting Obama administration stonewall that involves Pennsylvania - The Black Panthers case.

To listen to the show LIVE, click HERE at 9am EST or go directly to Lynn's website.

You can also stream LIVE on 1400 KTEM by clicking HERE.

OBAMA'S NEW OFFENSIVE ON TALK RADIO

Here we go. Add another Czar to the list. This one is Mark Lloyd, FCC's Chief Diversity Officer. This latest assault on radio is likely intended to produce the same outcome experienced by GM - Government Ownership.

If the name Mark Lloyd rings any bells, he was the Senior Fellow of a Center for American Progress Study in 2007 called, THE STRUCTURAL IMBALANCE OF POLITICAL TALK RADIO. Without acknowledging market forces as a primary determinant of what dictates programming, the report simply noted the disparity between conservative and progressive content while using obscure and irrelevant statistics to reach the conclusion that programming needs to change devoid of market forces. That's what we call doing a study and omitting an incredibly important variable.

Appendix B of the Center for American Progress lists the names of talk show hosts it used in its report. LYNN WOOLLEY, who provided me with this report is one of them. Echoes of a target list, huh?

Anyway, onto the CNSNEWS report. According to CNS, Lloyd wants to require privately run stations to fund publicly run stations.
(Lloyd has) called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do.
Anyone who is even the least bit familiar with the radio business knows that profits don't come easy and that such a strategy will break the radio industry and put it squarely in control of the government (seems to be a common theme these days).
Lloyd’s hope is to dramatically upgrade and revamp the Corporation for Public Broadcasting through new funding drawn from private broadcasters.
This is nothing short of the government handcuffing an industry already struggling to survive by making it subsidize programming more in line with MSNBC apparently.

The entity that would ultimately receive monetary support from private broadcasters is the Corporation for Public Broadcasing (CPB). This must mean that the CPB is not currently funded.

Not exactly.
The CPB is a non-profit entity that was created by Congress and that currently receives hundreds of millions of dollars in federal subsidies each year. In fiscal 2009, it is receiving an appropriation of $400 million.

“The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) must be reformed along democratic lines and funded on a substantial level,” Lloyd wrote in his book.
Why are government entities being called corporations anyway? An entity funded by taxpayer dollars is going to attempt to bankrupt private broadcasters by overburdening them with excessive fees.

Sounds like a hostile takeover.

Be sure to read the entire CNS NEWS report.

Austin Talk Show Hosts Suspended for language

I am familiar with both of these guys. Todd Jeffries and Don Pryor have a show on KLBJ 590 in Austin. Both have been suspended because one of them (Pryor) consistently used the term, "wetback". Despite Jeffries never using the word on-air and repeatedly warning Pryor to cease using it, both were suspended.

The Austin American Statesman has the story.

Having worked in downtown Austin for nine years, I know a little bit about the area. It is a city with many Hispanic leaders who hold prominent positions. A few calls from a few agitated listeners could have gotten quite a bit of attention, which it evidently did.

The Hispanic Area Chamber of Commerce chimed in on the matter:
"We acknowledge KLBJ's on-air apology, but we simply cannot see how his statements could be perceived as a joke," the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.
Sticks and stones, right? Come on, people.

Folks, we all need to chill the heck out. While in Austin, I had several employees who were hispanic and there is no possible way I could repeat the words I heard. You know what though? We had each other's mutual respect and that is what is so lacking in this case. I'm of Irish descent (note I didn't say I'm an Irishman) and if you want to call me a Mick, have at it.

The most egregious part of this suspension is that Jeffries appears to have done nothing wrong and he is the victim of guilt by association with a man who uttered a questionably "racially insensitive" word more than once.
