Video: AFL-CIO's Richard Trumka (Communist) says Tea Party making Government 'Dysfunctional'

Projection is the art of accusing your opponents of that that which you are actually guilty of doing. No one does this better than the far left. Communists, marxists, and socialists all lie incessantly because if they told the truth about their agenda, they'd lose too many mindless followers. In fact, it's almost as if their favorite commandment to disobey is the one about bearing false witness. The AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka does that right here when he says the Tea Party is trying to 'make the government dysfunctional so they can tear it down' and that it's hard for (Obama) to deal with.

Consider the plans of Cloward and Piven from the 1960's (Cloward dead and Frances Fox-Piven still believes in it). The objective was to flood the government's welfare and entitlement roles so that - follow me here - the government would become dysfunctional so that it could be torn down. There is significant evidence that Barack Obama endorsed the Cloward-Piven strategy in his youth and based on what he's done to the economy since taking office, it's not a leap to say that he still does.

Check out this excerpt about Frances Fox Piven from DTN:
...in 1983, Piven delivered the opening remarks at the Socialist Scholars Conference (SSC) in New York City, an event that commemorated the 100-year anniversary of Karl Marx’s death and was likely attended by a young Barack Obama. In her talk, Piven described Marx as the man whose ideas had enabled “common people” around the globe to become “historical actors.” She urged her listeners to “stand within the intellectual and political tradition Marx bequeathed,” treating it not as a “dead inheritance” but rather as a “living tradition—the creation of thinking, active people.” In subsequent years, Piven would appear at numerous additional SSCs.
Trumka is basically saying here that the Tea Party has apparently signed on to the Cloward-Piven strategy. This is projection on steroids. The first 45 seconds of this clip are rather innocuous but Trumka makes up for it at the end. Wow, just wow.

Audio: Joe Biden Pours Gasoline on Union Fires

One thing is clear after listening to Joe Biden on this conference call with Union leaders; Wisconsin was a huge defeat for unions. This is nothing short of a 'circle the wagons' speech from the Vice President. It's also an admission from the administration in the form of the second in command - Joe Biden - that Democrats are more than just a little beholden to Unions. The call was hosted by the AFL-CIO, which is headed by Richard Trumka. I found the part about a strong middle class being impossible without unions to be the biggest laugher here.

However, on a much more serious note, it is the leftists, socialists, and union thugs who have been unhinged during all of this and instead of Biden reprimanding or admonishing their behavior, this call only serves to exacerbate their feelings of victimization that aren't the least bit justified. This really is shocking audio because Joe Biden is encouraging unions to become even angrier in the wake of defeat in Wisconsin.

Desperation like this from the Vice President of the United States only serves to underscore how beholden Democrats are to the Unions; if these Unions go down, they're taking the Democrats with them and that realization is not lost on Joe Biden. Wisconsin may have been a much bigger blow to the left than we thought.

Video: AFL-CIO Head Boasts of Multiple Visits to White House

This is a very informative montage that juxtaposes video of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka boasting about visiting the White House 'two or three' times a week and talking with someone from the White House 'every day.' Following that is a short interview between Andrea Mitchell and a reporter who admits speaking to an Obama cabinet member who says that about 'half a dozen' of Obama's cabinet had not ever been contacted by the president in the two years since he'd been inaugurated.

Yet, Trumka, who is not part of the Administration visits the White House 'two to three' times a week?!

Puff Piece in WaPo on new AFL-CIO President Shredded

It's only going to be a matter of time before those who support the MSM begin to get victimized by the same entities they're championing. Chris Cillizza writes a Puff Piece Profile on new AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka and it's ripped apart by.............a Left Wing blog?

h/t to NewsBusters for uncovering the "selective reporting" uncovered by The New Republic.

Cillizza's profile of Trumka highlight's the latter's history as a uniter and not a divider when it comes to bringing groups togethery. In light of the current status of the AFL-CIO, such a man would be envied.

The long and short of it is that the AFL-CIO has lost member unions to a competitor called "Change to Win". The more well-known defectors are SEIU and Teamsters. Cillizza apparently had softballs dancing in his head at the keyboard because he never questioned, challenged, nor reported on Trumka's questionable past. In fact, what Cillizza did was akin to grilling an onion without taking off the dried, outer brown layer.

Quoting from John B. Judis' piece in New Republic...
The story (Cillizza's piece) fails to mention that Trumka himself was one of the reasons for the split. In 1996, James P. Hoffa ran for president of the Teamsters against the incumbent Ron Carey. Carey won the election, but the results were thrown out when federal officials discovered that Carey campaign people were illicitly using Teamster funds for his campaign. Carey’s campaign would send the money to individuals in other organizations ostensibly for other purposes and the individuals and organizations would arrange for the money to be donated back to the Carey campaign.

According to a statement made by Carey’s former campaign manager, Trumka and the AFL-CIO were involved in this money-laundering scheme. At Trumka’s request, $150,000 was sent to the AFL-CIO for get-out-the-vote efforts in the 1996 general election. The money was then sent to Citizen Action, a community organizing group, which passed it back to the Carey campaign. While Trumka was mentioned in the federal complaint, he was not indicted. And he refused to testify in the federal investigation on fifth amendment grounds. So nothing has been proven, but you would probably have a hard time finding a labor official – and particularly one at the Teamsters – who doesn’t believe Trumka was laundering money for Carey.

If there's any truth to this, being a fly on the wall of Hoffa's office while he's reading Cillizza's piece just might command a hefty premium.

Read Cillizza's piece for yourself.
