VIDEO: CZECH PRESIDEN VACLAV KLAUS ON GLOBAL WARMING

Why is it that the voices of reason in power are few and have minimal power? I have long maintained that Czech president Vaclav Klaus, a man-made climate change denier, is one of the most courageous men out there. I often couple him with Roberto Micheletti, interim president of Honduras who took on the world (and Obama) and won and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who refuses to be intimidated by the DHS.

When it comes to the EU, Klaus is on an island but he is right.

VIDEO: CZECH LEADER HAS IT RIGHT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Vaclav Klaus, president of Czechoslovakia sums up what's wrong with the notion of Climate change quite nicely. Politicians finding a way to exploit an issue while appealing to the sensibilities of an extremely large segment of the world's population. Couple that with the ability for those same politicians to promise long term solutions they know they won't be accountable for achieving because they will be gone from office by then.

It's really unfortunate that we have to go to Czechoslovakia to get this kind of truth, honesty, and leadership. That said, it's still refreshing.

ANOTHER SANE LEADER ALIENATED

Yet another example that the world is upside down... All across Europe, leaders of nations are signing on to the myth that is man-made global warming (if it wasn't a myth, it wouldn't have been re-named "climate change"). However, Vaclav Klaus, president of the Czech Republic is embarassing all of the others who know the truth and go along because of cowardice or ignorance.

In faraway Brussels furious diplomats were calling for his impeachment and even his country’s expulsion from the European Union because of his obstinate refusal to sign the Lisbon treaty. Klaus, now the only European leader holding out against ratifying the document, made it clear he did not give a damn.

Surely, there are other leaders who know the truth as well but where are they? Are they such cowards that they are willing to let Klaus stand alone?

So far, the answer is yes.

Perhaps it's a similar mentality to that of RINO senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham, who are signing on to the CAP & TAX BILL.

Anyway, particularly noteworthy in the Times Online article is how Klaus is standing up to these intenational bullies. Knowing that any change to the charter he thinks is useless, Klaus has advocated a change that would require all 27 nation states to sign before he will accept the treaty himself. The change is pretty reasonable actually - Germans not allowed to reclaim property in the region given to Hitler in WWII:

On Klaus’s return to Prague he dropped a political bombshell. At a press conference in his official residence the Czech leader announced that he would sign the treaty only if his government negotiated an opt-out from the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which is incorporated in the treaty.

He was concerned that the charter may permit retrospective property claims by the Sudeten Germans, a 3.5m-strong minority group expelled from the Czech Republic after the second world war.

“I have always considered this treaty a step in the wrong direction,” Klaus said. As he is well aware, the slightest change to the treaty, which was first proposed in 2001, would require all 27 EU member countries to agree.

His remarks were greeted with outrage in Europe. German and French diplomats, in talks with their Czech counterparts, explored two ways of removing the Klaus obstacle: impeach him or change the Czech constitution to take away his right of veto.

In a world that is upside down and backwards, it is leaders like Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic, Roberto Micheletti of Honduras, Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County in Arizona who are showing true courage and are on the right side of history. So many others are either nefarious or cowardly.

CZECH PRESIDENT CALLS B.S. ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Czech President Vaclav Klaus has the kind of guts shown by a certain leader of another small country (Roberto Micheletti of Honduras). Not to fall victim to the Group Think perpetrated against clear thinking people, Klaus called out the climate change rhetoric that was in abundance at the U.N.

REUTERS reported Klaus as saying:

"It was sad and it was frustrating," said Klaus, one of the world's most vocal skeptics on the topic of global warming.

"It's a propagandistic exercise where 13-year-old girls from some far-away country perform a pre-rehearsed poem," he said. "It's simply not dignified."

What a shame that other leaders who know he's telling the truth didn't stand with him.

Recently, Glenn Beck started calling for senators and congressmen to come forward as the 56 new "RE-Founding Fathers". So far, I believe he has two. Micheletti and Klaus have the guts and mindset that Beck seems to be looking for. The last two paragraphs of the Reuters article illustrate plainly that Klaus "gets it".

Klaus published a book in 2007 on the worldwide campaign to stop climate change entitled "Blue Planet in Green Chains: What Is Under Threat -- Climate or Freedom?"

In the book, Klaus said global warming has turned into a new religion, an ideology that threatens to undermine freedom and the world's economic and social order.

How many national leaders with more pull and bigger countries know the truth too and are too cowardly to join Klaus.

I think we have the perfect ticket for the 2012 U.S. presidential race.
