Video: Common's White House Performance

Rapper 'Common' was mired in controversy this week over his pro-cop killing messages found in his rap songs and poetry. Hopes were dashed that the White House might rescind the invitation as Common did perform at the White House. Granted, his rap was tame compared to what he's done elsewhere but it's not the point. Showing reverence for cop killer Assata Shakur, who escaped from prison and fled to Cuba with the help of Weather Underground members is Common's right but being in the White House to recite poetry on the eve of National Police week is beyond irresponsible.
