VIDEO: 'BIRTHER' INTERRUPTS READING OF CONSTITUTION AT JUST THE RIGHT / WRONG TIME

I guess you could call this an unintended, juicy consequence of the Republican majority's decision to have every newly elected / re-elected Representatives read a portion of the U.S. Constitution aloud. The issue for the 'Birthers' relative to Obama's eligibility based on his citizenship status has to do with the verbiage in Article II, Section 1. Not sure if it was a coincidence that the responsibility for reading that portion fell to a Democrat - Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) - but it was a nice fringe benefit.

Anyway, check out the look on Pallone's face upon hearing a protestor yell from the gallery, 'Except Obama! Except Obama! Help us Jesus' after he recites the part about the president needing to be born on American soil.

HOUSE REPUBLICANS ISSUE BILL TO REPEAL 'CZARS'

For those wondering about the effectiveness of the Tea Party, this is clearly some of its fruit. On the same day the 112th Congress was sworn in, a group of House Republicans introduced a bill that would eliminate all 39 of Obama's czars. In the wake of the recent election, it became clear that Obama was going to attempt to push his agenda by using executive fiat and going around congress. The passing of this legislation is unlikely but it is a shot across the bow and will shine a light on these czars, putting the administration on defense.

A group of House Republicans introduced a bill on Wednesday to rein in the various "czars" in the Obama administration.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and 28 other House Republicans introduced legislation to do away with the informal, paid advisers President Obama has employed over the past two years.

The legislation, which was introduced in the last Congress but was not allowed to advance under Democratic control, would do away with the 39 czars Obama has employed during his administration.

The bill defines a czar as "a head of any task force, council, policy office within the Executive Office of the President, or similar office established by or at the direction of the President" who is appointed to a position that would otherwise require Senate confirmation.

If the 39 czars - which would include Cass Sunstein, Donald Berwick, Kevin Jennings, John Holdren, and others - were to be sent packing, how many of them would end up at Center for American Progress (CAP), home of Van Jones? My guess - most of them.

DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN AND REGISTERED SOCIALIST: ELECTORATE WANTS US TO WORK TOGETHER

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is not only a member of congress; he's also a registered member of the Democratic Socialists Caucus - one of 70 in 2009. Interestingly, he is making the claim that the message sent by the electorate during the 2010 midterm elections was that the American people want congress to work together. Uh, not so much Mr. Cummings. I found the fact that Cummings was the source of those words interesting because he is also the outgoing chairman of the House Oversight Committee, which is charged with investigating government corruption and waste.

"Some people have gotten the wrong message about this election particularly the Republicans," he said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I think what the electorate was saying, they want us to work together. They want us to work with Republicans when we can, to try to make their lives better. They want government to work for them, not against them."

Cummings is giving up his chairmanship to Darrell Issa (R-CA) who has quite a full plate relative to a mounting number of investigations. Since Cummings didn't work with Issa when it came to investigating the Obama administration, perhaps he's saying here that he got the message that he needs to work with his Republican counterparts that make up the Oversight Committee.

Something tells me that he meant the exact opposite and wants Issa to throttle down to work with him. As evidence, CHECK OUT what Cummings is saying to those who want Issa to launch serious investigations. He's telling Issa to bring it on. To what degree Issa's actions as chairman match his rhetoric as ranking member remains to be seen but it does look like he's putting together quite a list of things to investigate, including Fannie Mae.

Rep. Darrell Issa is aiming to launch investigations on everything from WikiLeaks to Fannie Mae to corruption in Afghanistan in the first few months of what promises to be a high profile chairmanship of the top oversight committee in Congress.

According to an outline of the committee’s hearing topics obtained by POLITICO, the House Oversight and Government Reform is also planning to investigate how regulation impacts job creation, the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the foreclosure crisis; recalls at the Food and Drug Administration and the failure of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission to agree on the causes of the market meltdown.

This sweeping and specific hearing agenda shows that Issa (R-Calif.) plans to cut a wide swath as chairman, latching onto hot button issues that could make his committee the center of attention in the opening months of the 112th Congress. By grabbing such a wide portfolio – especially in national security matters – Issa is also laying down a marker of sorts, which could cement his panel as the go-to place for investigations.

Perhaps most galling on the part of Cummings is that he is using the word "austerity" to describe how the Oversight committee should conduct its business. When it comes to spending in practically every other area of government, Cummings is on board but when the committee's actions could do harm to the Obama administration, he wants to pull back the reigns?!

Mr. Issa better not back down. Tea Party will hold him to account if he doesn't.

VIDEO: CHRIS WALLACE TALKS WITH COL. ALLEN WEST

Lt. Col Allen West will be sworn in as U.S. congressman from Florida's 22nd District this week and he's already exhibiting true leadership. While appearing on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, he discussed the letter he sent to soon-to-be House majority leader Eric Cantor in which he chastised the incumbent for the lack of time Republicans will spend working in Washington, D.C. He's also going to be joining the Congressional Black Caucus, which should be interesting to watch.

Also appearing in this exchange is Republican Senator-elect Mike Lee of Utah, who does a very good job of enunciating the Tea Party objectives. The theme in this exchange involves who will come out on top during the 112th congress - Republican establishment of the Tea Party?

Note a key difference between West and someone like Darrell Issa. When Wallace challenged West on his fiery rhetoric on the campaign trail that included phrases like "tyrannical government," and "vile, vicious, despicable machine" West didn't back down. He stood behind his words. Issa, when pressed about his rhetoric as ranking chairman of the House Oversight committee, backed down in an interview with CNN on the eve of his becoming chairman of the committee. ERIC HOLDER DISMISSES MERITS OF BLACK PANTHER VOTING RIGHTS CASE

As the balance of power shifts in congress, the two men who will head the committees that will be most responsible for investigating the Black Panther voting rights case are Lamar Smith (R-TX), who will head up the House Judiciary Committee and Darrell Issa (R-CA), who will lead the House Oversight Committee on Government Reform. Of the two, Issa has been arguably the most outspoken when it comes to the way the Black Panther voting rights case was handled and it will be interesting to see if rhetoric when not in power matches action when in power.

The New York Times quotes Holder himself on the matter and he doesn't seem to be that concerned:

“We’ve already seen this administration dismiss one case against a political ally — the New Black Panther Party — for no apparent reason,” Mr. Issa and Mr. Smith wrote. “We remain concerned that politicization at the Justice Department once again may result in the administration’s political friends getting a free pass.”

Asked about the prospect of oversight hearings and subpoenas involving the New Black Panther case, Mr. Holder said, “there is no ‘there’ there.”

“The notion that this made-up controversy leads to a belief that this Justice Department is not color-blind in enforcement of civil rights laws is simply not supported by the facts,” he said. “All I have on my side with regard to that is the facts and the law.”

There's plenty 'there' there. As for the premise put forth by Issa and Smith, to argue that the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) is not a political ally of this administration is laughable. Forget the voting rights case for a moment. How about the recent recording of former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones and NBPP leader on December 20th talking about how Jones, who was responsible for distributing $40 Billion of the $787 Billion stimulus package? There is AUDIO of Shabazz talking about having some of that money.

As for answering to Smith and Issa about how the NBPP voting rights case was handled, Holder is dismissing any accusations that it was mishandled. I find it mildly disturbing that he and Smith seem to be a little to chummy. There is a leadership vacuum the Tea Party expects to be filled by Issa and Smith and they better fill it because they're being watched very carefully.

VIDEO: SOCIALIST DENNIS KUCINICH COULD BE GONE

The flip-side of Texas gaining four congressional seats is that other states are losing them. Interestingly, Ohio is losing two of them and speculation is mounting that the seat currently being occupied by registered member of the Socialist Party of America caucus - Dennis Kucinich may be one of them. I found this interview he did with CNN's Jessica Yellin interesting for several reasons. Early on, he concedes that his district, which is near Cleveland, has seen a significant loss in population.

Take note - starting at the 1:00 mark - of what he attributes that loss in population to. He says it has to do with the loss of jobs (a sensible person would point that finger at Obama) and then blames the sub-prime mortgage crisis! Let's see, the Community Re-investment Act (CRA) was signed into law by Jimmy Carter (D), given teeth by Bill Clinton (D), and used to drive the housing market over the cliff by Chris Dodd (D) and Barney Frank (D) via Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Then, take note at about the 3:30 mark as Yellin begins talking about Republican successes in state legislatures all across the country during a re-districting year. She comes across as bemoaning the fact that the Democrats took such a beating in such an important year. After Kucinich basically says it is what it is, Yellin takes her bias a step futher and whines, "You don't think it needs reforming?!" Just another case of blatant media bias. Once again, the left is happy with the rules until they don't work for them.

Another telling moment comes at about the 5:40 mark where Kucinich actually says, "The biggest questions in our society relate to how wealth is distributed." Ah, we come full circle. Under a socialist administration, wealth - as well as population in Kucinich's district - was distributed out of that district. The irony is that Kucinich the socialist could be a casualty of the socialist policies he advocates.

Oh, just to clear up any misperception that I'm hurling pejoratives at Kucinich by calling him a socialist, he's one of the 70 members of congress who was identified as such in 2009. Not only that but he was listed as a Vice Chair.

VIDEO: JAMES CARVILLE ADMITS TO BEING ON ANOTHER PLANET

Finally, a liberal says something truthful. While appearing on CNN, James Carville responded to very suspect poll numbers that show large majorities of Americans think Obama is doing enough to work with Republicans and that Republicans aren't doing enough to work with Obama. After all, it IS CNN. Those suspicious poll numbers were all Carville needed as a premise to paint Republicans as completely unyielding and unreasonable.

LIST OF TEXAS STATE REPS WHO MIGHT VOTE FOR RINO SPEAKER

Here in Texas, our state legislature had HUGE Republican gains. Although it already held a Republican majority before the election, it now holds a two-thirds Super Majority and the Tea Party is largely to thank. That leads us to the current House Speaker, Joe Straus. He is a moderate who got his position two years ago by aligning with 65 Democrats and 11 RINOs in order to defeat then Speaker Tom Craddick.

As Red State has been pointing out, Straus' record with abortion groups has been deplorably liberal. If you need a little added incentive to pick up the phone and tell these Reps not to vote for Straus, how about this from Life News:

Erick Erickson of the RedState blog has gone after Strauss on pro-life issues, even though the Speaker says he is fully pro-life and has the support of some pro-life advocates.

“Joe Straus has a 100% rating from NARAL, but the same people saying Straus is conservative also say he is pro-life. I’m sorry, but pro-lifers do not get 100% ratings from NARAL nor do their spouses sit on the boards of abortion organizations,” he said. “Pro-lifers are not honored by Planned Parenthood, but Joe Straus was.”

The fact remains that if any of these elected Reps were put in office on November 2nd as a result of their commitment to the Tea Party, voting for Straus is a vote for ignoring the will of the people.

VIDEO: 60 MINUTES PIECE ON HOUSE SPEAKER ELECT JOHN BOEHNER A TEAR-JERKER

I'm really finding myself ambivalent about John Boehner's crying. On one hand, the Tea Party has been screaming that Washington politicians are detached from what's actually going on in the country. It could be that the true gravity of the dire situation America is in has actually reached Boehner - the crying may reflect him actually 'getting it.' On the other hand, he needs to project strength. After all, he will be 2nd in line for the presidency after Biden.

Then there is the issue of how he was portrayed by liberal journalist Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes. On one hand, they showed him in his angrier moments when he was yelling, "Hell No" about the thousands of pages of legislation passed behind closed doors but never presented the source of that anger - it was that no one read the bills. On the other hand, the piece repeatedly showed him crying. So on one hand, he's angry and on the other hand he's crying.

Hmmmm. With all these hands, someone should hand him a bullhorn and a box of kleenex.

358,069 MORONS FOUND IN SOUTH CAROLINA

This is not technically news but it's a great use of facts to illustrate a much larger point regarding the South Carolina Senatorial election last month. Inexplicably, a guy named Alvin Greene won the Democratic party's nomination for U.S. Senate. Many speculated - and for good reason - that the voters there were so uneducated about the candidates, they gave Greene the nomination because his name reminded them of the 70's R&B singer, Al Green.

In light of what information about Greene then became available to voters in the run-up to the general, it should have been inconceivable that he would garner any real number of votes. Well, the truth is that despite many YouTube looks into who Greene really was, more than 358,000 South Carolinians voted for him.


Doug Ross makes an EXCELLENT point. Despite winning re-election in a landslide, Jim DeMint's opponent (Greene) actually proved how intellectually bankrupt so many people inside the Democrat party are. Yet, the leftwing media portrays Sarah Palin and her supporters as stupid. In fact, the case could be made that anyone who voted for Greene in the general - even after the spotlight revealed how inept the guy was - were exponentially more brain dead than anyone who voted for him in the primary based on musical tastes.

There are so many Alvin Greene moments to choose from to underscore the point but this should do the trick.



One final point on the number of zombies in America. Going back one year, Rasmussen's Presidential Approval Index has shown the number of Americans who strongly approve of Barack Obama's job performance has virtually remained unchanged - hovering between 20% - 30% consistently. It would not surprise me in the least if close to 100% of the 358,069 voters who pulled the lever for Greene are in that category as well. I've been lightly scratching my head on the approval index but no more. The answer is no more complicated than stupidity. Period.

SOROS KICKING HIMSELF FOR NOT SUPPORTING HILLARY IN 2008?

Before Barack Obama burst on the scene at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, George Soros was almost certainly going to put all of his support behind Hillary in 2008. Then, in early 2007, Soros backed Obama instead and was instrumental in helping Obama get the nomination and ultimately the presidency. It now appears that the man who likes to play God is falling a bit short in the Omnipotent department and is recommending that progressives distance themselves from Obama.

WASHINGTON -- At a private meeting on Tuesday afternoon, George Soros, a longtime supporter of progressive causes, voiced blunt criticism of the Obama administration, going so far as to suggest that Democratic donors direct their support somewhere other than the president.

The Hungarian-American financier was speaking to a small side gathering of donors who had convened in Washington D.C. for the annual gathering of the Democracy Alliance -- a formal community of well-funded, progressive-minded individuals and activists.

According to multiple sources with knowledge of his remarks, Soros told those in attendance that he is "used to fighting losing battles but doesn't like to lose without fighting."

"We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line," he said, according to several Democratic sources. "And if this president can't do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else."

Though a spokesman for Soros didn't deny the quotes, he DID deny that Soros is advocating a primary run against Obama but how anyone can deny that's what he's talking about is laughable.

When Hillary finally decides to throw her hat in the ring for 2012 - at this point, it's a matter of 'when,' not 'if' - look for Soros to change horses soon thereafter and support Hillary who is likely, right now telling Uncle George, 'I told you so.'

PELOSI STAYING ON AS MINORITY LEADER

In the months preceding the November 2nd elections, a conservative mantra became a rallying cry for the Tea Party movement - 'FIRE PELOSI.' After the election, the mantra flipped when the talk of her staying on as minority leader would not subside. The new mantra for conservatives? 'HIRE PELOSI.' Even Democrats seemed to agree with the notion that keeping Pelosi on as the Democrats' House leader would be a very bad idea because it would keep the trio of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi in place as the three-headed monster responsible for the 2010 electoral tsunami.

It looks like Republicans got their wish - Pelosi will remain on as the leader of the Democrats. Via Fox News:

WASHINGTON -- House Democrats averted a messy leadership struggle, clearing the way for Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer to become second in command of their new minority without a challenge from South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn.

Under an arrangement worked out in private, officials said late Friday that Clyburn would instead receive a new position, title unknown and duties undescribed, explicitly labeled the third-ranking post in leadership.

The odd man out is obviously Clyburn and this should be newfound evidence for the 90% of blacks who consistently side with the Democrat party that it is indeed the Democrats who are racist. When the Democrats were the majority party, Pelosi was Speaker, Steny Hoyer was majority leader and Clyburn held the position of majority Whip. Now what?

Pelosi will take Hoyer's old role, Hoyer will take Clyburn's old role, and Clyburn is on the outside looking in while receiving assurance that he will be given a significant role while holding a position that doesn't even exist.

Another interesting theme that is developing is how Pelosi is holding onto her power. Despite multiple Democrats publicly saying they would prefer someone else lead the party in the House, Pelosi is running unopposed and Democrats are coming across like the soldiers in the Wizard of Oz afraid to confront the witch.

VIDEO: MSNBC'S MORNING JOE RAILS ON OBAMA, QUOTES DEMOCRATS

This really is an amazing piece of video from MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' program. It's amazing because it happened on MSNBC but more important, because of the sources that Joe Scarborough points to as having said it - several top Democrat Senators. The charge? Barack Obama 'has no idea what he's doing' and has completely alienated Republicans. Liberal spinmeister, Mika Brzezinski makes a lame attempt at a rebuttal and eventually realizes it's pointless but attempts to stick with her initial argument - Republicans have been allowed into the White House. She does so even after Scarborough outs her as having had the same discussions with the same Senators he said spoke with him. At one point, she looks straight into the camera and resembles a cross-eyed deer in the headlights.

Even co-panelist and staunch liberal Mike Barnicle admits to hearing from at least seven Democrat Senators that Obama is clueless. This is not small news. In fact, it seems to bolster the claims made by the alleged 'White House Insider' that Ulsterman has been talking to - more on that after the video.

A blog called Nice Deb has made an excellent connection between what was discussed on that video and the revelations given by an alleged 'White House Insider' to an anonymous blogger 'Ulsterman' in part three of the initial interview between the two. Here is one excerpt from that interview, originally posted on September 18th:

Insider:…we got Congressmen and Senators running for re-election right now whose political careers are about to be ended because they supported a president and a Democratic Party leadership that told them to do so. They trusted they would be politically protected, that the American people would agree with the agenda. Well guess what? That hasn’t happened. Good people, good Democrats, are being tossed aside like so much trash – and this White House DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN. In my eyes that is absolutely unforgivable. You just don’t do that to your own people. And some of these politicians are talking. They are – but for the most part the media is ignoring them because they don’t want to hurt the administration. To that I say enough! Do your damn job. Report what is going on within the Democratic Party. We need to clean up this mess, and it starts by getting the truth out there. That is my motivation.

DO REPORTS OF PELOSI COMMENTS BACK UP 'WHITE HOUSE INSIDER'?

This is interesting on a couple of different levels but outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly told Democratic leaders that the only way Barack Obama would win a second term is if he is 'perfect' between now and then. Adding credibility to this is that according to Roll Call, several aides are said to have vouched for the quote. Obviously, if true, Pelosi has serious doubts about Obama and expressed it by setting an impossible standard.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democratic leaders Wednesday afternoon that President Barack Obama has to be “perfect” to win a second term, several senior Democratic aides told Roll Call.

According to one aide, Pelosi also said she wasn’t sure whether the White House is prepared to deal with a Republican House. A leadership aide denied that Pelosi made such a statement.

Interestingly, this look behind the curtain would seem to also bolster the credibility of that 'White House Insider' who's been speaking to an anonymous blogger named 'Ulsterman.'

Here is what WHI said to Ulsterman way back in a post dated October 7th:

Insider: You want to know what Pelosi thinks of Barack Obama? The phrase that was forwarded to me that is said to have come from her?

Ulsterman: Absolutely.

Insider: Now I’m paraphrasing here a bit, but this is the gist of it. “If the president wants a war then that is what he is going to get. I’m done playing patsy to this -expletive- White House. If that -expletive- wants to throw me under his -expletive- bus, then bring it on.

Ulsterman: A war? There is a war between Pelosi and Obama?

Insider: Yes. As extreme as that sounds, that pretty much sums up the situation now between the Speaker and the White House. They are certainly not on friendly terms. Did you notice how there was almost no public comments coming from Pelosi for weeks? She went quiet. Apparently she was directed by White House staff to minimize her public comments in the final months prior to the midterms because she had become such a political liability. That is how she was described by the White House – a liability. White House staff told that to her face. And you know what? The speaker went along with it. It had to be tough, because she is as proud a woman as you will find, but she conceded to the White House’s request that she remain quiet. At least for a while. Now she is speaking out again, and if you read her words carefully, you can see them being directed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, as well as her own Democrats in Congress. She is now reasserting herself as the leader of the party, no longer trusting the White House to deliver an effective message to voters. I believe the lame duck session following the midterms is going to prove extremely…interesting.

In light of those claims, it would seem Pelosi is going to be increasingly critical of the president as each day brings her closer to giving up the gavel.

NANCY PELOSI TO ATTEMPT LAME DUCK IMMIGRATION VOTE

Nancy Pelosi has a mental problem and I don't say that flippantly. First, she carries that huge ridiculous gavel through the Tea Party crowd back in March, while laughing on her way to the health care vote; she then predicts Democrats will hold onto the House all the way up to the day before the election; after getting totally shellacked in the midterms, she claims that she wants to be minority leader; then she decides to throw a party to celebrate her party's accomplishments over the last two years.

Now this. She wants to force a vote during this lame duck session that would allow illegal aliens to vote. Via POLITICO:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to push for a vote during the lame-duck session on a bill that would legalize young, undocumented immigrants if they attend college or serve in the military, according to Democratic sources familiar with a leadership conference call Wednesday.

A vote on the bill, known as the DREAM Act, could come as early as next week, the sources said. Pelosi asked Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) and Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) to assess the mood of the caucus, according to one source.

There is no end to their shame.

VIDEO: BARRACK'S CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012

South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint (R) is also known as Senator 'Tea Party.' He was featured as one of the candidates on a Fox News segment called '12 in 2012,' which breaks down the 12 most likely Republican presidential candidates two years from now. DeMint has consistently backed Tea Party candidates and continues to catch the ire of establishment Republicans. He is, by far and away, the best candidate for president. As a Senator, he is an anomaly and has proven that when amongst elite establishment politicians at the highest level, he does not compromise his principles. None of the other potential candidates can say that - not even Sarah Palin.

The money quote in this interview from DeMint is when he says, "You can't be a fiscal conservative and not be a social conservative." The logic he uses to back that up is indisputable to the intellectually honest. Basically, the social programs implemented by social liberals have bankrupted our culture. Therefore, clean up the social issues, and fiscal responsibility follows.

LEFTWING LOGIC: PROGRESSIVES WON THE ELECTION

Talk about twisted logic. This lowers the bar when it comes to spin. It also goes to show why the left should never be trusted or compromised with. They will never stop going on offense but staying on offense after the repudiation that took place on November 2nd is literally delusional. Remember, though, Barack Obama said the results of this election were not about his policies; they were about his inability to communicate how great they are.

We now have further indication that Obama is absolutely NOT going to move to the center; if anything, he is going to continue moving left. A George Soros funded group is actually claiming that it was progressives who won the election because so few of them got defeated. As a consequence of that, Soros' Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) is basically calling this a mandate for Obama to use as many Executive Orders as he needs to in order to further the progressive agenda.

The article recommends that President Obama govern from executive order to push through a progressive agenda.

"Progressives won in the 2010 mid-term elections," wrote Karen Dolan, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, or IPS, and director of the Cities for Progress and Cities for Peace projects based at the radical organization.

"The Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest caucus in the House Democratic Caucus at over 80 members, emerged virtually unscathed, losing only three members," she wrote, in the piece published on the IPS website.

"By contrast, the conservative Blue Dog Democratic caucus was more than sliced in half from 54 members to only 26. Further, of the 34 conservative Dems who voted against Obama's Healthcare Reform, a mere 12 won re-election," she wrote.

This is actually something that the newly elected Republicans can benefit from. The leftwing playbook has just been dropped into their lap. This administration gets its marching orders from Soros-funded groups. Here is what this should tell Republicans:

1.) 'Reaching across the aisle' should be off the table. Any attempt to do so will only help further the progressive agenda.
2.) Congress needs to watch very closely, any attempts made by this White House to go around it with Executive Orders.
3.) The fact that so many progressives won the election should be a cue to state legislatures - which Republicans won big on November 2nd - that re-districting should be a major priority. Corrupt incumbents like Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, and many others won by wide margins. The reason why is not because of any 'progressive ascendancy' espoused by the whack jobs over at IPS but because of gerrymandering.

'WHITE HOUSE INSIDER' GIVES FIRST POST-ELECTION INTERVIEW

The anonymous blogger known as 'Ulsterman' has posted another interview he allegedly had with an anonymous 'White House insider,' who is ostensibly an extremely disenfranchised Democrat with a huge load of buyer's remorse over supporting Barack Obama and working for his campaign in 2008. The Insider predicts that Nancy Pelosi will NOT succeed in her bid to become the House minority leader and also that a huge scandal will bust open in 2011 that could reach the president. Yeah, those don't sound like overly bold predictions but this person has delivered some very specific information in the past that proved to be correct.

Ulsterman….do you think the president is going to pull a Clinton and veer back to the middle of the political road?

Insider: (shakes head) I have said it many times – Barack Obama is no Bill Clinton. He doesn’t have Clinton’s intellect, Clinton’s political know-how, or Clinton’s common sense. Barack Obama is too self involved, too bored of details, too lazy. But even more important, Barack Obama doesn’t have the people around him who will allow a turn toward the political middle. Many of the moderates in the Democratic Party were taken out with this election. What is left are the far left people – the -expletive- “Progressives” if you will. They are still in denial. Never before has such a group of like minded dumb -expletives- inhabited the halls of the United States government.

Insider: Maybe. I hear things, yeah.

Ulsterman: You have said more than once that she is finished as Speaker. Now she has come out and declared her intent to be Minority Leader. Have you been proven wrong?

Insider: Wrong? Is she going to remain on as Speaker of the House? No, she is not. The Democrats lost. I don’t think I said anything specifically about her being Minority Leader, or not much at any rate. But—-

Ulsterman: (Interrupts) So will Nancy Pelosi be the minority leader in the House? Is she staying on as a member of Congress, because that would seem to contradict what you were telling me earlier…

Insider: No. No I don’t think she is going to be Minority Leader. She doesn’t have the backing. That’s the word I have received from many different sources, including members of Congress. What Nancy Pelosi is doing now is trying to save face. It is desperate…and well, kind of pathetic too. I will say this with absolute certainty – if she does not get the minority leader position, she is leaving Congress. She has said that directly to members of her caucus.

DEMOCRAT POLLSTER: OBAMA NEEDS AN OKLAHOMA CITY 'KIND OF EVENT'

This is beyond sick. Democratic pollster Mark Penn, while on Hardball with Chris Matthews, actually implied that an event like the Oklahoma City bombing is what Obama needs to re-connect with the American people. His pathetic argument is that Bill Clinton seemed to be disconnected from Americans until that event. After his post-bombing speech, Penn says Clinton reconnected. So all we need is a successful terror attack, Mr. Penn?

The hubris of these people when it comes to getting what they want knows no bounds. Have a look at where 'ends justify the means' mentality takes you. Unless I'm misreading this guy, he's advocating the deaths of human beings if it bolsters the president's poll numbers. After all, Obama told Bob Woodward that American can 'absorb' an attack.

OBAMA TO AMERICAN PEOPLE: YOU'RE STUPID

There is a short clip of Barack Obama's upcoming appearance on CBS' 60 Minutes in which he talks about the huge Republican victories in this week's elections. When afforded the opportunity to eat some humble pie, he basically apologized for not being able to communicate effectively to the American people. The arrogance of this man is beyond palpable. We're all choking on it. In his world, Americans are simply not educated enough to understand his brilliance.

Here is the relevant quote, posted by Wall Street Journal:

“Over the course of two years we were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that we stopped paying attention to the fact that leadership isn’t just legislation, that it’s a matter of persuading people and giving them confidence and bringing them together and setting a tone and making an argument that people can understand.”

The implication should be clear. Obama is smart enough to know what's good for Americans but is not smart enough to relate to a bunch of simpletons.

POLITICO posted a short clip of the interview but it does not include the part about 'making an argument that people can understand.'

Actually, it was Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) who made the argument Obama couldn't understand. Remember this complete dress down and spanking of the president during the health care debate?
