Video: Earthquake Expert Predicts Problems on West Coast of U.S.

His name is Jim Berkland and he is to geology what 'climate deniers' are to the Global Warming movement. For years, Berkland has maintained that earthquakes are predictable when variables like the gravitational pull of the moon and animal behavior are factored in. He has been scoffed at by mainstream geologists but his track record is more than a sufficient rebuke of the attempts to marginalize him.

Take note in the video that Berkland makes reference to the millions of dead fish that appeared in Redondo Beach, CA just days before Japan's earthquake. As far as I know, there hasn't been any coherent reason for that event so shouldn't all possibilities be on the table at this point? Berkland's research also involves an increase in the number of pets that run away from home and in the days before an earthquake. He maintains that animal shelters experience an increase in tenants at these times.

Though he doesn't have a perfect track record, Berkland's predictions have established a trend that show he's definitely on to something. His success rate cannot be achieved by guessing. HERE is his website, which could use some updating.

Video: Astounding Footage from Japan as Water Breaches Seawall

This may be the most compelling video to come out of Japan yet. It almost looks like a movie production with special effects as the water breaches a seawall. Note the cars driving by as water heads their way - the camera then turns back around to the seawall and captures rather large boats going over it.

Video: Explosion at Japanese Nuclear Power Plant

It might just be me but the Japanese news reporters pictured at the beginning of this clip look personally frightened. This report is not in English and doesn't have subtitles but the video of the explosion at the Fukushima nuclear power plant is tragically epic hours after a national catastrophe. As attempts to prevent a nuclear meltdown remain in high gear, this explosion cannot be good.

The image in the bottom right likely indicates flood damage.

Video: Chris Matthews Proves he's Still Leader of Obama Cult

Chris Matthews had to have viewed this angle as an opportunity to kill two proverbial birds with one proverbial stone. By suggesting that somehow the earthquakes in Japan should be used to remind people that Barack Obama grew up in Hawaii, he gets to further feed Barack Obama's narcicissm. Second, he gets to go after the Birthers. Matthews actually politicizes one of the worst natural disasters in recent memory while somehow attempting to make it about Obama.

Videos: Japan Tsunami Footage

Words like 'apocaleptic' are being used to describe the devastation in Japan as a result of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami. These videos only serve to reinforce such descriptions. Remember, in addition to these towns literally being washed away, at least one nuclear reactor is in danger of a meltdown.
