Why the 'White Supremacist' talk by Chris Matthews may just backfire on him

Race-baiting, Alinsky-acolyte Chris Matthews has practically been hyperventilating at the prospect of the white supremacist group - Aryan Brotherhood of Texas - being responsible for the murders of two District Attorneys in Kaufman County, Texas (Mark Hasse on January 31st and Mike McLelland on Easter weekend) and the Executive Director of the Colorado state prison system, Tom Clements.

As Breitbart's Brandon Darby points out, the mainstream media in general has been eager to push this narrative as well.

Once established, the premise is easy to understand. The likes of Chris Matthews and the rest of the Obama media are attempting to compare these white supremacists to conservatives, Tea Partiers, and Republicans. As is so often the case with these leftists, any time they attempt to make these connections, they usually implicate themselves.

This is where, once again, the left runs into huge problems.

First, take the case of Clements' murder. The primary suspect is the now deceased Evan Ebel, whose father - a Democrat - is close friends with Colorado's Democratic Governor, John Hickenlooper. In an interview with Denver's NBC affiliate, Hickenlooper admitted that Jack Ebel - Evan's father - contributed to his campaign.

Hickenlooper confirmed his relationship with Jack Ebel to The Denver Post and KUSA-TV Friday evening and then in a written statement Friday night. State records show Ebel donated $1,050 to the governor's 2010 campaign. But there's no indication that Hickenlooper's relationship with the Ebels played a role in the shooting.

Hickenlooper denied having any role in Evan Ebel's parole.

"Although Jack loved his son, he never asked me to intervene on his behalf and I never asked for any special treatment for his son," Hickenlooper's written statement said.

Though Hickenlooper may be telling the truth, he's a Democrat and if there's one thing we know about Democrats, it's that they lie with impunity.

Here is a video from March 22nd, one day after Evan Ebel's death. In it, an NBC 9 reporter attempts to get some answers from Hickenlooper about his relationship with Jack Ebel and whether the contributions to Hickenlooper's campaign prompted the Colorado Governor to talk to Clements about the son of his friend.

It's already been reported that Evan Ebel was released four years earlier than he should have been. We have also been told that solitary confinement got to Evan and may be responsible for making him become more violent / crazy.

Attorney Jack Ebel testified before the Colorado Legislature two years ago that solitary confinement in a Colorado prison was destroying the psyche of his son, Evan.

When Jack Ebel's longtime friend, Gov. John Hickenlooper, was interviewing a Missouri corrections official for the top prisons job in Colorado, he mentioned the case as an example of why the prison system needed reform. And once Tom Clements came to Colorado, he eased the use of solitary confinement and tried to make it easier for people housed there to re-enter society.

If there is an aspect to the charge that Evan Ebel murdered Clements that doesn't make any sense, it's that Ebel was released four years early while Clements was in charge of decisions relative to parole and had already begun to ease up on solitary confinement. In that respect, Clements was not someone that Ebel should have targeted.

At about the 3:25 mark, the reporter asks a question that sets Hickenlooper off (a must-watch).

Now, consider the case of D.A. Mike McLelland. While MSNBC's Chris Matthews was visibly wishing that "white supremacists" were involved in McLelland's murder, he overlooked two things.

1. McLelland and his wife were both white (for that matter, so were Clements and Hasse).
2. McLelland was a Republican.

McLelland won a three-way race in the 2010 Republican primary and ran unopposed in the general election. Burns said he and McLelland kept in touch "here and there" until January, when McLelland's assistant district attorney, Mark Hasse, was shot to death in a still-unsolved case.

Chris Matthews, et. al. are so desperate that they are willing to play up the narrative that 'white supremacists' (who are apparently tied to Democrats and who murdered whites and Republicans) are responsible for murdering... whites and Republicans.

More evidence that Matthews, et. al. are insane.

Video: Liberal says Republicans appealing to the Archie Bunker crowd

This is great. Joy Reid appeared on Hardball with the now certifiable Chris Matthews and said that Republicans like Sarah Palin and John Sununu are appealing to 'Archie Bunker crowd'.

I wonder if Joy Reid knows that Archie Bunker was a character created by the extremely liberal Norman Lear. So if she has a problem with the furthering of racism, perhaps she should pick up the phone and talk to the guy who invented Archie.

Second, if you want to talk about characters from All in the Family that shouldn't be emulated, Ms. Reid should start with Meathead, Archie's son-in-law. Archie didn't like her daughter's husband but allowed the freeloader to live with him because of his daughter.

Videos: Paul Ryan's speech and Chris Matthews' Pathetic reaction

Paul Ryan's speech was full of fire, passion, and multiple instances in which he held Barack Obama for his record. He also made fun of the music on Mitt Romney's iPod (he likened it to elevator music). In short, much of what Sarah Palin brought to the convention in 2008, Ryan brought in 2012. That's the biggest reason the mainstream media socialists disapproved.

Why does Chris Matthews continue to tout Satan-lovers?

Nick Gellespie at Reason presents some compelling evidence that explains how Walter Cronkite erroneously got the "most trusted man in America" moniker. He also shows how the story of Lyndon Johnson saying, "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost America" after watching Cronkite refer to the Vietnam war as a 'stalemate', is a myth. Nonetheless, the glowing urban legend that IS Walter Cronkite continues to give Chris Matthews a leg tingle.

That leg tingle appears to be misplaced.

...as American University professor and Getting It Wrong author Joseph Campbell notes on his great Media Myth Alert blog, the Cronkite story is totally bushwah. Campbell notes that Johnson did not watch the original broadcast and there's no indication he ever watched a taped version of the program either. Cronkite's invocation of "stalemate" was not original or memorable - that phrase had been used for a long time by then. And for all the talk of a "Cronkite moment," asks Campbell, why did U.S. troops stick around in Vietnam for another five years?

As further evidence that Cronkite should not go down as "the most trusted man in America," I give you exhibit A. It's video from a 1999 Award Ceremony at which Cronkite received the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award. Note how Cronkite refers to "Satan" by name and proudly proclaims he sits at the Devil's "right hand." To Gillespie's point, I think it's safe to say that anyone who shows reverence for "Satan" is far from being "the most trusted man in America."



This is not Matthews' first foray into showing reverence for someone who has expressed reverence for Satan. Let's not forget that Saul Alinsky dedicated his book to the prince of darkness:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Video: Chris Matthews plays the race card on Fast and Furious

Let's see, for 18 months, Fast and Furious has been newsworthy. Those of us who have followed it know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it reaches to the highest levels of the Justice Department (at minimum). MSNBC - the propaganda arm of the White House - has practically ignored the story altogether. Now, as Attorney General Eric Holder is about to face contempt of Congress, Chris Matthews is all of a sudden an expert on the story and tells his viewers that it's a racially motivated witch hunt?

If we are to gauge Matthews' knowledge of Fast and Furious by how much he's covered it, he's a neophyte on the subject at best. Yet, he sees fit to imply that Holder's accusers, who have been investigating the scandal for 18 months, are racists by saying the investigation is 'ethnic' in its motivations.

The families of the hundreds of dead Mexicans who are victims of Fast and Furious should find that offensive. Were the motivations behind placing these guns in the hands of those Mexicans' killers 'ethnic' too Chris?

I don't believe Matthews is ignorant on Fast and Furious. He's just doing his job. The most well known part of this clip is Matthews saying it's his job to help Obama succeed but there's another part worth noting in the context of his charging that the motives of Issa and those who want justice in Fast and Furious are 'ethnic'. In this now infamous exchange from 2008, notice how Matthews says, 'it's the worst thing you can do in journalism is try to figure out motive'.

Wow! Chris Matthews is really bitter about that Tingle

When you get right down to it, there are three things that really upset Chris Matthews when you bring up his comment in 2008 that Barack Obama sends 'a thrill' up his leg. First and foremost, he's upset that it appears to becoming the centerpiece of his legacy; that comment is making him the poster child for the death of objective journalism and if he doesn't know that, he's learning it incrementally. The second thing is that he must inherently know at some level that Obama's policies are failing. Lastly, he is EXTREMELY hypersensitive about his 'thrill' being referred to as a 'tingle.' Naturally, this distinction without a real difference only increases the frequency of that word choice from the right.

Now, to this awesome Chris Matthews meltdown. Just hit play and watch his reaction to a C-SPAN moderator who reads the 2008 quote back to Matthews and asks him if he still feels the same way. At that very moment, Chris had to open up his heart and let all of his anger out; there was no stopping him.

I'm suddenly in the mood for this clip from Morning Joe the day after Matthews uttered the now infamous words in 2008. It's moments like this one that continued to build until they culminated with the outburst Matthews had with the C-SPAN guy:

Did Chris Matthews call black Bishop a racist?

Once again, the left cannot be allowed to have it both ways. One of the talking points from the liberal left when it comes to gay marriage is to equate the plight of the homosexuals to the plight of blacks prior to the 1960's. As such, homosexuals of today are fighting the same fight blacks did then, according to the left. With that as a premise the left has chosen to accept, Chris Matthews essentially called Bishop Harry Jackson a racist when he expressed a desire to see Jackson 'evolve.'

And so it begins. A white liberal identifies a black man as a racist for not supporting gay marriage. I think Mr. Matthews mis-diagnosed the thrill that ran up his leg.

It was more likely an electric shock treatment.

MSNBC continues to descend into a pit of outright lies; there is no way on earth that Chris Matthews or his guests don't know the truth here. That didn't stop Matthews from spitting on it or his guests from cleaning up his mess. This is pure propaganda for the White House, nothing more. Matthews actually makes the argument - for his dumbed down audience - that Ford benefited from the auto bailout.

The truth is that Ford didn't accept a bailout.

Video: Chris Matthews on 'Thrill' and 'Chill' vs. 'Tingle' - a Difference without a Distinction

What's the difference between a leg 'thrill,' a leg 'chill' and a leg 'tingle'? At first blush, it might seem like an exercise in semantics but not if your name is Chris Matthews. The liberal, Alinsky-loving, MSNBC commentator has dug in his heels over this one and he's going to the mat to prove that he's right. He even whipped out footage of himself in 2004 to prove it.

There is certainly a degree of hypersensitivity on the part of Matthews over his 2008 comments that have provided an endless supply of comic relief and fodder for conservatives. The words are emblazoned on the virtual parchment of political discourse. While commenting on Barack Obama's speeches, Matthews said:

"I felt this tingle thrill going up my leg."

To further bolster his case, Matthews went to the video vault and found his own comments after Obama's keynote address at the Democratic convention. In response to that speech, Matthews said there was:

"A little tingle chill in my legs right now."

I'm not sure what Matthews hopes to accomplish by attempting to draw this line of distinction but I have a good bet what he WILL accomplish.

Video: Is Chris Matthews Waking up or just Schizophrenic

While talking with MSNBC's Alex Witt, Chris Matthews goes on an uncharacteristic rant about Obama. In essence, he seems to state quite clearly that the current administration hasn't done much and Chris wants the man who inspired his leg thrill to tell America what the mission is. Perhaps the most important charge levied by Matthews is that Congress never hears from the president. One would think that at some point, Democrat Senators would stop being such partisan martyrs for him. Then again, pride is a powerful thing.

Audio: Larry Elder Gives Chris Matthews Dose of his own Medicine

Chris Matthews appeared on Larry Elder's radio show to promote his book about JFK. What he ran into was a role-reversal buzz saw. Benefiting Elder greatly was the fact that he read Matthews' entire book but he so perfectly played the role of Chris Matthews the interviewer, that Matthews actually - and quite laughably - asked Elder if he would be allowed to speak or if he was going to have to listen to Elder's 'rap.' It was as if Elder went into this interview with two objectives in mind. One was to give Matthews a dose of his own medicine. The other was to discredit the MSNBC host's account of history.

There was one question Matthews refused to answer and it comes near the end. Elder wanted to know why Matthews only dedicated 1/2 a page to JFK's tax cuts which, according to Elder, was JFK's crowning achievement.

If you've ever wanted to see Chris Matthews on the other end of a Chris Matthews interview, you gotta hear this.

Video: Chris Matthews Warns Perry of Anal Exam

Look, I'm no Rick Perry fan (see previous post) but this is quintessential partisan hypocrisy from Chris Matthews, who is obviously put off by the Texas governor's strong rhetoric about Obama and the Democrats. In this exchange with Eugene Robinson, Matthews warns Perry that he better be prepared for a very thorough vetting process because it will be coming. So, in 2008, Chris Matthews spoke of a 'thrill' running up his leg when listening to an Obama speech and even confessed to doing all he could to make sure the Barack Obama presidency would be a success and in 2011, he's warning a Republican nominee of a thorough anal exam.

Chris, just when we thought you couldn't get any more obvious...

Republican leadership should actually be quite embarrassed by their freshman colleagues, not because those freshmen are doing anything wrong but because they're upstaging the establishment Republicans. Case in point is Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) who completely manhandles MSNBC's Chris Matthews in this exchange. In fact, at no point, did Walsh back down over the course of 11 minutes. He didn't back away from his claim that Obama lied when he said senior citizens might not get their social security checks. He was in Chris Matthews' face the whole time, including when he told Matthews that Obama 'doesn't send a thrill up my leg, Chris.'

Watch it all because it's all good.

Video: Chris Matthews calls Republicans 'Wahhabis' and Wahhabis Curiously Silent

Forget for a moment that the comparison is completely misplaced; it is over-the-top misplaced. My question is: Why don't the Wahhabis take offense at Matthews? In deriding the Republicans by sardonically calling them the 'Wahabbis' of American government, isn't he also deriding the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, ISNA, MSA, and practically every other Islamic group by implication? Keith Ellison should be up in arms over this. Chris Matthews referred to Republicans as 'Wahhabis!' The non-reaction from the Wahhabis is akin to the ACLU not caring when liberals attack black conservatives or when NOW doesn't care after the latest unhinged attack on Sarah Palin.

Chris Matthews had to have viewed this angle as an opportunity to kill two proverbial birds with one proverbial stone. By suggesting that somehow the earthquakes in Japan should be used to remind people that Barack Obama grew up in Hawaii, he gets to further feed Barack Obama's narcicissm. Second, he gets to go after the Birthers. Matthews actually politicizes one of the worst natural disasters in recent memory while somehow attempting to make it about Obama.

Video: Chris 'Leg Tingles' Matthews Smacked Down By Wisconsin State Senator

During an interview with Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman (R), Matthews attempts to paint the Senator as a hypocrite right off the bat with a false premise. Grothman's response is priceless: 'Once again, you're completely uninformed.' He then proceeds to completely dismantle that premise, which was that the Republicans are exempting police and fire departments because those unions supported Republican governor Scott Walker. After Gtothman informs Tingles that the vast majority of police and fire unions supported Walker's Democrat opponent, Matthews attempts to re-phrase his question and fails miserably.

Once again, the left accuses its opponents of what they themselves are guilty of. It is the Democrat establishment that is unabashedly beholden to the unions, including Obama's own group 'Organizing for America' (OFA).

Video: Chris Matthews' Latest Obsession - Birthers!

Now that Hawaii's registered socialist governor, Neil Abercrombie has come up empty with respect to his pledge to shut the birthers up with documented proof, the narrative of MSNBC's Chris Matthews must necessarily change. Ain't it funny? In late December, Chris Matthews had David Corn and Clarence Page on his show to discuss Hawaii's registered socialist governor's effort to debunk the birthers by producing documentation that would end the controversy. During that exchange, Matthews said Obama should just release the long form birth certificate to end the controversy and embarrass the birthers. Corn and Page agreed. Corn even went a step further to say that presenting it would allow him to 'make even more fun of the birthers.'

Abercrombie then lays a goose egg. What to do, what to do. Matthews had Corn and Howard Fineman on the program to discuss the new Arizona bill that would prevent Obama from being on that state's ballot in 2012 unless he can produce the long form. The narrative clearly changed from 'Obama should produce it' to one of 'one doesn't exist but it doesn't matter.'

It's so funny watching someone with egg on his face ramble as if it wasn't there.

BREAKING: CHRIS MATTHEWS A BIRTHER

Ok, slightly misleading headline. Actually, though, depending on your criteria for defining a 'Birther,' you might find MSNBC's Chris Matthews in that category. If you define 'Birther' as someone who believes Obama wasn't born in the United States, Matthews himself vehemently states, 'I am not a birther - I am an enemy of the birthers.' If, on the other hand, your definition of a 'Birther' is someone who wants the president to produce additional information to prove that he was, Matthews is a 'Birther.'

Matthews, David Corn, and Clarence Page are playing the game along with Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie, who made news by saying he's going to attempt to produce further evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii not in the interest of proving it but in the interest of embarrassing the 'Birthers.' If you start out with that premise, you're on solid ground with the liberal media as Corn, Page, and Matthews demonstrate in this exchange.

Despite the derision poured onto the 'Birther' movement by these guys, common ground appears to be found. All three agree that if further evidence can be produced, Obama should do it. The difference between the 'Birthers' and the far left is becoming an increasingly emotional semantic one. In fact, Matthews is nearly apoplectic at the percentage of people cited in the poll he reads in this segment. 20% of Americans believe Obama was born elsewhere. Unbeknownst to him, Matthews makes the case of the 'Birthers.'

VIDEO: CHRIS MATTHEWS HEARTS OBAMA'S 'CUTE' SMILE

I think we can safely say that Chris Matthews has officially doubled down on the leg tingle. After watching a clip of Obama talking to the press, Matthews commented that he missed that 'Cute, wonderful, boyish smile we all love.' I actually found the look on Eugene Robinson's face after Matthews went there worth watching because it certainly deserves a caption. At this point, the only thing left for Matthews to confirm is whether or not Obama's 'wonderful, cute, boyish smile' gives him a leg tingle. If that cause and effect relationship does exist, Matthews has a serious problem and should just come out of the closet.
