Video: Walid Shoebat explains "Muruna"

In Islam, there is a term known as "taqiyya." According to the Religion of Peace website, it means that it is ok for a practicing Muslim to lie if it advances the cause of Islam:
These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
However, former PLO member and Muslim Brotherhood activist, Walid Shoebat has uncovered a deeper level of this deception; it is called "Muruna."

Leader of Hamas Visits with Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

In light of Ron Paul's comments from 2009, in which he said 'Israel... started Hamas,' I found this bit of news a sufficiently salient retort to that insane point of view. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh recently sat down with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Via Jerusalem Post:
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh received a warm welcome Monday when he arrived at the Muslim Brotherhood Headquarters in Cairo.

Haniyeh is on his first regional tour since 2007 that will take him to a number of Arab and Islamic countries.

Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badei welcomed Haniyeh at a joint conference and said that his party was concerned with Palestinian issues.

"Your highness Mr. Prime Minister, our brothers, Ismail Haniyeh and his accompanying delegations -- you are welcome to our country; you are welcome to our headquarters," Badei said. "The general center of Muslim Brotherhood is paying attention all the time to the Palestinian issue as it pays attention to the issues of liberation all over the world."

Haniyeh responded with: "The Islamic resistance movement of Hamas, by definition is, a jihadist movement by the Muslim Brotherhood, Palestinian on the surface, Islamic at its core and its goal is liberation."

An aide said Haniyeh's trip will also include stops in Tunisia, Bahrain and Turkey.
Before making his way to Egypt, Haniyeh gave a speech marking Hamas' 24th anniversary and said the long term goal of his group remains the elimination of Israel. Here is video from Haniyeh's speech via PMW:

A website known as Loon Watch, which has taken up the task of smearing those who warn about these sorts of things, had this to say about the fall of Hosni Mubarak back in February:
Is it any surprise that the Islamophobes are the most against this uprising.
Hopefully now the Egyptians can reconstruct the system to be a free and Democratic nation.

2009 Ron Paul Video: Hamas 'Started by Israel'

For those Pauliens inclined to denounce the recent charges of former Ron Paul aide Eric Dondero, who says Ron Paul is definitely 'Anti-Israel,' I'd like to point you to this speech in 2009 from the House floor. In it, the logic of Ron Paul - which is actually conspiratorial pabulum disguised as logic - reveals why he is the Truthers' candidate while actually making the case that Israel is responsible for creating a counterweight to Yasser Arafat.

If you want proof that Ron Paul is intellectually vacant when it comes to the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood, look no further than this speech. Hamas is a Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated group. The Brotherhood (Ikhwan) was founded in 1928 with one sole purpose - to reestablish the Ottoman Empire and do away with national borders. The PLO was founded in 1964, a full 34 years after the Brotherhood was created. Paul would actually be better able to make the case that the Brotherhood started Hamas, at least from an historical perspective.

Dondero charges that Paul wanted Israel to go away and allow Arabs to have the land. This video doesn't prove those claims but it makes them one heck of a lot more credible.

Yes, he said Israel started Hamas.

ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE REAGAN

Are you aware that the Palestine Liberation Organization has an existing mission two miles from the White House? Is that the same PLO once led by Yasser Arafat, who was shown to have ordered the assassination of an American diplomat? The same Yasser Arafat who was behind the Munich Olympic massacres in 1972?

That's the one. So where does Ronald Reagan come in? Joe Kaufman has a column at PAJAMAS MEDIA that explains it quite well.
In December 1987, President Ronald Reagan signed into law the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1987. The act unequivocally called the PLO — an umbrella group for several violent entities — a “terrorist organization” and made it “unlawful” for the PLO to “establish or maintain” an office inside the United States. Citing various fanatical actions carried out by the group, including “the murders of dozens of American citizens abroad,” the act stated:

[T]he Congress determines that the PLO and its affiliates are a terrorist organization and a threat to the interests of the United States, its allies, and to international law and should not benefit from operating in the United States.
So what happened between then and now that currently allows the PLO to operate within the United States? Kaufman reports that beginning in 1994 during the Clinton administration, the American president began signing "waivers" every six months that would allow the PLO to continue its U.S. Mission.

Surely, that ended after Bush was inaugurated, right? I'm sure he signed an order to not to issue the PLO any waivers as quickly as Obama signed an EO to close down Gitmo, right? No? Oh, well then I'm sure he kicked the PLO out after 9/11, right? Uh, no. According to Kaufman:
Every six months, beginning in 1994, U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama issued such waivers, using the excuse that they were “important to the national security interests of the United States.”
National Security? I'm sorry but since when does it make sense to allow enemies of the United States to set up shop in the United States? Kaufman explains the brainiac logic this way:
In reality, the waivers had nothing to do with “national security.” They were instead seen as necessities in sustaining the last three presidential administrations’ obsession with the creation of a PLO state — essentially a terrorist state — called “Palestine,” to be headed by PLO leader Yasser Arafat followed more recently by the PLO’s Mahmoud Abbas.
Honestly, I'm not all that surprised that Obama continued this practice of signing the waiver to continue the PLO mission but think about something for a minute. After 9/11, George W. Bush signed that waiver 14 times.
