Another Obama EPA Administrator tells the truth (in secret)

You might remember EPA Region VI Administrator Al Armendariz telling what he thought was a limited audience that his objective is to "crucify" oil companies to get other oil companies to fall in line. Now it's time to be introduced to EPA Region I Administrator Carl Spalding. During a speech at which he likely thought featured a limited audience as well, Spalding admitted that the job of the EPA is to put the coal industry out of business.

Via Jim Inhofe Press Office, h/t GWP:

Armendariz resigned after his comments, saying that he had become "a distraction." Now that we have Spalding on video expressing very similar sentiment - the crippling of energy industries, can we officially say that the EPA is engaged in an Obama administration conspiracy?

EPA Official resigns over his Crucifixion metaphor

What do Al Armendariz and Van Jones have in common? Both resigned from the Obama administration after revealing beliefs being so disturbing that they became radioactive to the administration. However, in Jones' case, he just hopped on over to a fellowship position in George Soros' Center for American Progress (CAP).

The Dallas News has the Armendariz resignation letter:
Dear Friends,

I have been honored to serve as your regional administrator for EPA's region 6 office the last 2 and ½ years. I never once forgot that the reason I was appointed was to serve you, to act as your voice, and to work day and night to better protect the environment and your safety.

Today I am resigning my position as regional administrator. This was not something that was asked of me by Administrator Jackson or the White House. It is a decision I made myself. I had become too much of a distraction, and no one person is more important than the incredible work being done by the rest of the team at EPA.

I leave with an incredible sense of pride for the things the Agency accomplished and it was fantastic to be a part of the effort. Administrator Jackson has overseen a renaissance in the Agency and it is again the global leader in environmental protection. President Obama has been incredibly supportive of me and my work and the Agency. He'll undoubtedly go down as the most environmental president we have ever had.

Thank you all for letting me into your homes and communities, and showing me the challenges you face every day from pollution and lack of infrastructure. Your stories are now part of my fabric and the fabric of the Agency.

Best always,
Al Armendariz
Something else Armendariz and Jones share in common. Both said they resigned of their own volition without any encouragement from the White House. In Jones' case, that meant the Obama administration was perfectly content with having an avowed communist and 9/11 Truther on its staff. In the case of Armendariz, the White House had no problem with a guy who viewed his job as one that involves "crucifying" oil companies. It also indicates that the administration has no problem with what Armendariz was doing - crippling oil companies over ideology.

Here is the video that led to Armendariz's resignation:

Video Outrage: EPA Official channels ancient Romans; advocates Crucifying Oil Companies

This video is from 2010 and it validates much of what we already know about the bureaucratic minions that operate inside the Obama administration but an extremely crude and graphic metaphor is used here by EPA Region VI Administrator Al Armendariz. While admitting that his analogy is "crude," Armendariz proceeds to repeat it here.

In this video, this pathetic EPA bureaucrat compares what he does to what the Romans did when they went into a town or village; they randomly captured five people and crucified them so that the rest of the town would fall in line.

Alinsky tactics on steroids. Perhaps a Nazi metaphor that describes what Armendariz is advocating is in order.

Since that video was released, Armendariz has made a feeble attempt at an apology.

Via the Washington Times:
A top official at the Environmental Protection Agency has apologized after being captured on video saying his agency’s method of enforcing oil and gas regulations was to find a few bad actors to “crucify” and hold up as examples.

“I apologize to those I have offended and regret my poor choice of words,” Region 6 EPA Administrator Al Armendariz said in a statement first provided to the Daily Caller. “It was an offensive and inaccurate way to portray our efforts to address potential violations of our nation’s environmental laws. I am and have always been committed to fair and vigorous enforcement of those laws.”
That was from the heart, wasn't it?

Video: EPA Official Stammers for Five Minutes over Simple Question

Just in case you had any interest in understanding why government bureaucrats and agencies are so thoroughly and utterly incompetent, this should clear it up for you. The bureaucrats live in a theoretical world that leaves out the most important variables necessary for that world to mirror reality. In this case, Colorado GOP Rep. Cory Gardner (R) was trying to get EPA Deputy Administrator Mathy Stanislaus to tell him if the EPA factored in jobs before it decided to implement its crippling regulations. Stanislaus's incoherent responses included an inherent admission that the livelihood of those who have to deal with those regulations had no impact whatsoever on the decision to enforce them.

Wow. After watching this, I think I'm as speechless as Stanislaus was. Gardner was actually so incredulous that he invoked the name Yogi Berra.

VIDEO: VAN JONES ADMITS TO 'PRETENDING'

Anyone who thinks Van Jones was relegated to insignificance when he resigned from the Obama administration as the Green Jobs czar in September of 2009 is sadly mistaken. As a fellow with the Center for American Progress (CAP), he's speaking for the Soros-funded organization that is driving White House policy. Here he is on November 4th bemoaning the failure of Cap and Trade last year. Not only that but he's encouraging his audience to go to the EPA and admit that putting a cap on carbon emissions is a game of make believe but to enforce it anyway.

We are witnessing an administration - with the help of CAP - that is bound and determined to ignore the 112th Congress by using agencies that report to the Executive Branch (EPA, FCC, etc.) to do its will. Van Jones has been saying quite a bit lately and that should be ringing alarm bells.

OBAMA GIVES POLAR BEARS 187,000 SQUARE MILES OF ALASKA

The Obama administration is at it again, setting aside 187,000 square miles in Alaska for the polar bears and calling it 'critical habitat.' The consequences of this action will actually serve to harm human beings as it will put even more restrictions on offshore drilling. Think about this one. Land that is full of vast resources belonging to America is being given to polar bears in the name of protecting them from becoming endangered.

Via Los Angeles Times:
The Obama administration is setting aside 187,000 square miles in Alaska as a "critical habitat" for polar bears, an action that could restrict future offshore drilling for oil and gas. The total, which includes large areas of sea ice off the Alaska coast, is about 13,000 square miles, or 8.3 million acres, less than in a preliminary plan released last year.

Tom Strickland, assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks at the Interior Department, said the designation would help polar bears stave off extinction, recognizing that the greatest threat is the melting of Arctic sea ice caused by climate change.

"This critical habitat designation enables us to work with federal partners to ensure their actions within its boundaries do not harm polar bear populations," Strickland said. "We will continue to work toward comprehensive strategies for the long-term survival of this iconic species."
There is a significant problem with the premise, however. The polar bear population has been dramatically increasing. The UK Telegraph reported back in 2009 in the run-up to the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit that a report by a polar bear expert was suppressed because it didn't fit the agenda:
….one of the world's leading experts on polar bears has been told to stay away from this week's meeting, specifically because his views on global warming do not accord with those of the rest of the group.

Dr Mitchell Taylor has been researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years, as both an academic and a government employee. More than once since 2006 he has made headlines by insisting that polar bear numbers, far from decreasing, are much higher than they were 30 years ago. Of the 19 different bear populations, almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined.
The revelations uncovered thanks to Climategate have not stopped Obama. Despite the evidence now being irrefutable that the entire Climate Change movement is about wealth re-distribution, not science; this guy continues to plow ahead with an agenda that is purely evil.

Time to get back to Scripture with Genesis 1: 26-28:
26God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.(A)

27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.(B)

28And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
Here's a video of Marc Morano appearing of Fox News Channel, where he discussed a recent statement by a U.N. official that the Climate Change agenda is about wealth re-distribution.

VIDEO: VAN JONES CALLS FOR EPA TO GO AROUND CONGRESS FOR CAP AND TRADE

I don't know what's more absurd here, these pathetic allegories on the part of a guy who was forced out of the Obama administration once it became too politically damaging for the administration to keep him, or the brainwashed lemmings in the audience who think he's so brilliant. Remember, Van Jones is still with John Podesta's Center for American Progress (CAP) which basically writes White House policy.

Here he is, Obama's former Green Jobs czar talking at UC Berkeley Law School on October 14, 2010 - less than three weeks before the election. He concedes that Cap and Trade will not get foisted onto the American people via the legislative process but then calls for the EPA to simply implement it.

Obama is not going to moderate after this election, regardless of the results.

OPTIMISTIC VIEW ON THE EPA MOVE?

Kim Strassel has an excellent piece in the Wall Street Journal today about the dangers of the EPA attempting to leap frog congress and it doesn't involve congress getting angry or indignant over being spurned. It does, however, involve congress being off the hook when it comes to the Cap & Trade disaster.

Did Obama unwittingly put himself alone on Disaster Island by vicariously issuing a threat to congress through the EPA and its head Lisa Jackson?
The thing about threats, though, is that at some point you have to act on them. The EPA has been sitting on its finding for months, much to the agitation of environmental groups that have been upping the pressure for action.

President Obama, having failed to get climate legislation, didn't want to show up to the Copenhagen climate talks with a big, fat nothing. So the EPA pulled the pin. In doing so, it exploded its own threat.

Far from alarm, the feeling sweeping through many quarters of the Democratic Congress is relief. Voters know cap-and-trade is Washington code for painful new energy taxes. With a recession on, the subject has become poisonous in congressional districts. Blue Dogs and swing-state senators watched in alarm as local Democrats in the recent Virginia and New Jersey elections were pounded on the issue, and lost their seats.

But now? Hurrah! It's the administration's problem! No one can say Washington isn't doing something; the EPA has it under control. The agency's move gives Congress a further excuse not to act.
This is where it gets good. Strassel points out that lawsuits targeting the EPA are sure to mount and congress will collectively look at Obama as the person responsible.
Green groups pioneered the art of environmental lawsuits. It turns out the business community took careful notes.

Industry groups are gearing up for a legal onslaught; and don't underestimate their prospects. The leaked emails from the Climatic Research Unit in England alone are a gold mine for those who want to challenge the science underlying the theory of manmade global warming.
Be sure to read Strassel's ENTIRE PIECE. It is excellent.

OBAMA SAYS CLIMATE CHANGE A SECURITY ISSUE

Ok, I really need help understanding this one. Climate change is an issue of national security? I know that Al Gore did a skit on Saturday Night Live in which he was elected president and said, "glaciers that once were melting are now on the attack" but did Obama really have to take him seriously?

Here is a quote from Obama that appears on the Copenhagen Conference WEBSITE:
"There is little scientific dispute that if we do nothing, we will face more drought, more famine, more mass displacement – all of which will fuel more conflict for decades," and then he drew attention to the question of security in the climate problem:

"It is not merely scientists and environmental activists who call for swift and forceful action – it's military leaders in my own country and others who understand that our common security hangs in the balance."
I wonder if General McChrystal is putting climate change at the top of his priority list for defending America.

By the way, if Obama is so interested in preventing drought and famine, how come he doesn't turn the water back on for the farmers in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA?

Yeah, in addition to the EPA naming CO2 - a gas exhaled by each member within the EPA (I think) - as something harmful to the earth, it is also helping to cause drought and famine by demanding that a 2" Delta Smelt fish be protected ahead of farmers who are now in food lines.

EPA DOING OBAMA'S BIDDING ILLEGALLY?

If you had any doubt that politicians have no shame, look no further than Congress, which seems to be allowing an agency that answers to the Executive Branch (Obama) to enforce laws the congress won't enact. It has the stench of both blackmail and doubling down in light of climategate.

By threatening to declare carbon dioxide (CO2) a gas that is harmful to the enviornment, the EPA is laying the groundwork for policy that would be more harmful than any Cap & Trade legislation.

So how tied to climategate is this threat from the EPA? NEWSMAX reports on the notion that Obama should demand the EPA withdraw such a claim about CO2 because that claim is based on the faulty data at the heart of climategate:
Republicans and conservative think tanks are calling for the Obama administration to revoke its declaration that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant subject to EPA regulation on the grounds that the EPA's primary source of information for the finding was the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

An important source of data for the IPCC was the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in England, the source of the highly controversial "climategate" e-mails. IPCC officials deny that their data on climate change is in any way biased.
This is where the doubling down takes place. However, the bigger climategate gets and the more that's exposed, the more Obama will have tied himself and his agenda to fraudulent science. And the more he does that, the more complicit he becomes in perpetuating it.

How about the response of EPA head, Lisa Jackson, to the question about why she didn't consider requests to deny her agency's action based on climategate?
When Jackson was asked during Monday's news conference why she didn't accede to GOP requests to put off the EPA finding until the climategate e-mails could be investigated, she replied: "I didn't delay it because there is nothing in the hacked e-mails that undermine the science upon which this decision was made," adding, "This issue has not raised new scientific questions that are not addressed already in this finding."
Really?

Read the WHOLE THING.

EPA: HUMANS SHOULD STOP BREATHING

Based on what the EPA is saying, how else should we interpret this? If human beings exhale carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide is now being considered a poisonous gas, human beings themselves are destroying the earth not because of anything they're doing but because of what they are - a carbon based life form that is viewed similarly to smokestacks that are polluting the air.

Here's the irony. Fewer humans equals less plant life, which is what the environmental movement claims to champion. The New York Times REPORTS:
The Environmental Protection Agency on Monday will complete its determination that greenhouse gases pose a danger to human health and the environment, paving the way for regulation of carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles, power plants, factories refineries and other major sources.

The agency finding also will allow Mr. Obama to tell delegates at the United Nations climate change conference that began today in Copenhagen that the United States is moving aggressively to address the problem.
Address the problem? Remember all of those "kooks" who have been saying the environmental movement is really an agenda that is about population control?

They don't seem so kooky these days, DO THEY?

Watts Up With That links to a study at the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN that shows trees are flourishing as a result of all of this excess CO2.

Hmmmmm

So does this mean that the agenda of the EPA is actually one that involves extinguishing plant life?
