Temple, TX Police Department at heart of National Story may have a new problem on its hands

This past March, Army Master Sgt. C.J. Grisham was arrested by Temple, TX police for "rudely displaying" his firearm. During the arrest, Grisham had his son record the incident on his video camera. The video has gone viral and has garnered millions of views. Grisham is suing the police department and has been quite outspoken about his experience.

Conversely, as outspoken as Grisham has been, the Police Chief - Gary Smith - has been silent on the matter, which has been increasingly counter-productive. As the video of the incident continued to pick up momentum, Smith's silence has only seemed to add fuel to that momentum.

It appears that the Temple Police Department has another situation to deal with on the eve of an event that is scheduled to take place outside the Police station on June 1st that is partially in response to Grisham's arrest. Before we get to the event, have a look at an article from the Temple Daily Telegram (h/t Lynn Woolley). Police allegedly arrested a teen at Wal-Mart for a theft he wasn't involved in and proceeded to break his collar bone, possibly after using the teen's body to wipe up the floor after he spit in front of them.

What's more is that the police report of the arrest was not available for review as of May 24th. The Telegram reporter was told she would have to wait until Tuesday, May 28th to get an account of what took place.

Two things here.

1. Unless the teen was concerned for his girlfriend's safety, he probably shouldn't have gone into the store to see an arrest.
2. If he spit on the floor as a show of disrespect to police, also not a good thing and he shouldn't have done it, even if the Police did as has been reported. If, however, he spit on the floor because of something physiological in response to being roughed up, that's a different story.

Nonetheless, it would seem the police have another problem on their hands. As was the case with Grisham, clamming up is proving counter-productive; it almost makes it seem like TPD is exercising its own Miranda rights.

As for that June 1st event, it would seem that unless the TPD gets out in front of the Wal-Mart arrest and is more forthcoming than it's been over the Grisham matter, it will only be fueling the event.

Not good.

NYPD Jihad? National Guardsman shot and killed

An unarmed Army National Guardsman was pulled over on a Queens road and fatally shot by an elite NYPD officer yesterday — and the DA now is probing what the victim’s friend called a case of police “road rage.”

Noel Polanco’s hands were on the steering wheel of his 2012 Honda Fit moments before Detective Hassan Hamdy shot him once in the torso, a woman sitting in the front passenger seat told cops and reporters.

But police spokesman Paul Browne said it’s unknown if Polanco, 22, moved after Hamdy yelled, “Show me your hands!” to the three people in the car, one a sleeping off-duty cop in the back seat, on the Grand Central Parkway near La Guardia Airport at 5:15 a.m.

Look for this story to dominate some headlines.

Innocence of Muslims producer arrested by the Feds

Folks, the arrest of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula for violating his parole may seem like a victory for Muslim and leftist forces who want to squash our First Amendment right of free speech but, as they say, things aren't at all what they seem. Early indications are that his arrest is indeed a victory for the good guys.

The producer of the controversial anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims” has been arrested for violating terms of his probation and is set for an appearance this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, is scheduled for an initial appearance before Judge Christina Snyder, who sentenced him in June 2010 following a bank fraud conviction.

Investigators have not yet provided details about how Nakoula allegedly violated probation, but it seems clear that his involvement in the “Innocence of Muslim” production is central to the government's new charge.

Nakoula (seen above) was sentenced to 21 months in prison to be followed by six months in a halfway house. Upon completion of the custodial term, he was placed on probation for five years.

Included in his probation terms were prohibitions on his use of the Internet, unless he secured prior approval from his probation officer. Additionally, he was not to “use, for any purpose or in any manner, any name other than his/her true legal name or names without the prior written approval of the Probation Officer.”

While producing “Innocence of Muslims,” Nakoula repeatedly used the alias “Sam Bacile” (and other variants) in communications, online postings, and dealings with cast and crew working on the film.

Nakoula has a history of criminal behavior and has been on parole ever since he was convicted for his role in a bank fraud scheme back in 2010. That's why he was arrested, not because he made an anti-Muhammad film. The narrative being pushed by the mainstream media, in fact, has been that Nakoula is a Coptic Christian.

In reality, according to Shoebat, Nakoula gave an interview in Arabic in which he admitted that he is neither Christian nor Jew.

Moreover, the crimes he was found guilty of committing were done in conjunction with a man named Eiad Salameh, a Muslim fundamentalist who hates Christians and Jews.

In short, the arrest of Nakoula should be cheered by conservatives, Christians, and Jews. He broke the law and quite possibly scammed everyone who was even remotely involved in the production of the film.

Important Video: Dearborn Police stand down as Muslim Mob Assaults Christians

The surrender of Dearborn, MI to Islam is all but complete. This may be one of the most important videos in a long, long time. Background: A group of Christians showed up at the annual 2012 Arab Festival, holding signs and wearing t-shirts to communicate their message.

There are many things to take note of as you watch. First, the mob assaults the Christians with debris (rocks, bottles, crates, etc.). Second, the police do nothing to stop it. The video opens with one officer telling one of the Christians that use of a bullhorn is prohibited by a city ordinance. Then, after 30 minutes of massive assault, one officer tells a Christian he's putting his own safety in danger because the cops have so much territory to cover. Note the response of the Christian male; he tells the officer that violence will be wherever their signs are. Having no response, the cop turns and walks away.

There are only two explanations for the behavior of these police officers. Either they are sympathetic to the Muslim cause or they are suffering from displacement.

Chicago Way hits Long Island; cops allegedly demoted for voting Republican

Earlier today, I posted the story about the Democratic Party in Wisconsin identifying registered Democrats - by name - who haven't voted in the last two elections and asking registered Democrats to put pressure on them to vote in the upcoming recall election in that state.

Six Long Island cops claim their commissioner is putting politics before the badge.

The Long Beach crime fighters say they’ve been targeted by the seaside town’s Democratic machine for supporting GOP candidates in local elections last year.


Long Beach Police Commissioner Michael Tangney, a longtime Democrat, demoted the cops, cut their overtime, switched them to midnight tours and even filed false internal charges against them for “political payback,” the veteran officers claim in a $39 million lawsuit.

“It’s just the way politics work in this town,” Tangney allegedly told one of the officers while demoting him.

Officers James Canner, 44; Karl Hayes, 42; James McCormack, 55; John Radin, 53; Benjamin Tayne, 47; and Jose Miguez, 39, claim they turned to their union for help, but that then-president Stefan Chernaski, another Democrat, ignored them.

More 'tolerance' from the left.

Busted: Lesbians charged with painting threats on their own Garage

There is a reason why police in Colorado decided to arrest the two lesbians who claim someone spray painted, 'Kill the Gay' (I think the painters ran out of room for the 's') on their garage door. Primarily, because when things like this happen, the crime is very often committed by those who claim to be victims; we see it at OWS all the time. There was also a rash of such behavior back in 2009, which you can check out here.

These are bizarre traits in the left wing mind. When I had an apartment in Florida, a mixed-race couple (woman black, man white) called the local news and police out to their place because 'Ni***r lover' was spray painted on their front door. It didn't take long to determine who did it - the residents.

Anyway, in this case, both lesbians were arrested and refused to submit to lie detector tests. They also had their hands scanned for spray paint residue.

Outrage: Two white reporters attacked by Blacks; their editor hides

This story is outrageous on so many levels. Two newspaper reporters - one male and one female - for the Virginian-Pilot were assaulted and beaten when they got out of their car after it had been hit with a brick three weeks ago. Despite what appears to be an obvious hate crime - or at least racially motivated - virtually no one wants to touch the story, not even the editor of the paper, Denis Finley.

I said "virtually" because fortunately, Fox's Bill O'Reilly and Jesse Watters are willing to cover it. In the news report below, Watters actually confronts Finley, whose responses are quite lame. At one point, Finley makes the claim that he doesn't know that the attack was a hate crime or the result of a black mob. O'Reilly is incredulous at this because, as he points out, it's a newspaper's job to find these things out.

The police appear to have mishandled this case as well, so much so that the assault victims are pressing charges against them. The Attorney General for Virginia - Ken Cuccinelli - has publicly stated he will not intervene or call for the release of the 911 recordings. Cuccinelli, as some might remember, is one of the state Attorneys General who has been at the tip of the spear with respect to the Obamacare lawsuits across the country.

He's also running for Governor of Virginia in 2013.

Those things are at the very core of an editor's responsibility. It makes one wonder why you're in the journalism business at all. It'd be like someone with acrophobia choosing to be an airline pilot. 

Do what's right, Denis. Conquer your fear of flying or get off the plane.

That prompted me to hit "reply" and send this:

Denis,

Five black males attacked YOUR non-black employees and you call it a "street altercation" instead of a "black mob."

Instead of an "assault," you call it a "fight." If it was a fight, were either of your reporters cited by police? If not, why was a black teen the only one arrested? Isn't that a racially biased act on the part of the police if it was a "fight" and not an "assault"?

Perhaps you should report it that way (if it's the truth).

Instead of saying your reporter was "attacked," you say she was "involved."

Instead of saying your reporters were "assaulted by several blacks," you refer to them as a "handful of people" who were "involved in the fight."

Then you say, "there's no way for me to know if it was racially motivated." What have you done to determine that? Would you say the same thing if five white males attacked a black couple?

With all due respect, you might see O'Reilly's story as a "mischaracterization" but your answers to Mr. Watters' questions appear to be those of someone who is rationalizing uncomfortable truths.

Just curious, are you pro-life, pro-infanticide or.... pro-choice?

Yes, I know she was attacked.  I don't know right now if the attack was racial.  Every time a black person attacks a white person or a white person attacks a black it is not necessarily racial.  I can't report assumptions.

I have a note into Mr. Finley, asking him what the reporters said about their attackers? Did the assailants say anything that might help us find out if is was racially motivated?

**UPDATE** Mr. Finley has responded that his paper asked both reporters if the assailants said anything racial. According to him, they said there was "nothing racial" and that "no epithets or slurs were spoken." When I asked him if he told Jesse Watters that, he said:

I told him (Watters) a lot of things that were left out.

He then said:

I did not watch, but I asked those who did if he included that I said I have been critical of the rush to judgment in the Trayvon Martin case, yet I am being asked to do the same thing in this case. Apparently, he did not.

I also said that in hindsight I think we could have done a story, but (and this was cut off), it would have been very short and inside our local section, which I doubt would have appeased our critics, although I don't want to assume.

You will honestly not believe this exchange. From start to finish, your mouth may just be agape at the completely dysfunctional mind of OWSr Harrison Schultz. His claim that the NYPD is responsible for the Zuccoti Park crime at the protests is just a small portion of his insane mindset. One of Schultz's other candid admissions is that he lives off of student loans and doesn't know where the money comes from. He also thinks everything should be free and that capitalism has failed.

Video: Zimmerman's Bond Hearing; a must-see

This video starts with George Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, grilling the state investigator - Dale Gilbreath - who signed the probable cause affidavit. At several points, Gilbreath - in addition to looking like a bureaucratic lackey - comes across as being a foolish lemming for putting his name to an affidavit that is reminiscent of that of a kindergartner with finger paints.

Welcome to the media circus spawned by Al Sharpton. Gilbreath may end up being more of a casualty than Zimmerman.

Is Truth about Trayvon's killing starting to take shape?

Perhaps this is the most detail about what happened the night of Trayvon Martin's death. The narrative pushed by Al Sharpton and the New Black Panthers has been that George Zimmerman hunted the teen down despite being told not to by police. It's beginning to look like that may be demonstrably false. According to a source allegedly knowledgable of Zimmerman's account, it was Zimmerman who was attacked by Martin.

Since the days immediately after the shooting, news outlets have widely reported the 911 calls Zimmerman made, during which he told a police dispatcher that he would follow Martin, whom he described as suspicious. The police dispatcher said, “We don’t need you to do that.”

As has been reported, Zimmerman told police officials that he lost sight of Martin and went around a townhouse to see where he was. Then he claimed Martin confronted him and punched him, knocking him down.

According to The Daily Beast’s source, Zimmerman told police that when he was on the ground, Martin straddled him, striking him, and then tried to smother him.

Zimmerman claimed that he yelled for help, and that various neighbors who peered out to see the fight from their backyards didn’t get involved. Zimmerman, the source said, told officers he was so paralyzed by fear that he initially forgot he had a gun, but he said that after Martin noticed his 9mm pistol, Zimmerman pulled it out of his belt holder and fired one round, a hollow-point—the round that killed Martin. (The autopsy report on Martin has not yet been released.)

According to the source, Zimmerman told police that Martin’s last words after the shooting were, “Okay, you got it.” He said the phrase twice, then turned and fell face-down on the ground.

Very few people are asserting that Zimmerman used good judgment that night but it's important to learn what happened after police told him to stop following Trayvon. Did he stop or continue? If he stopped and was attacked by Martin, we have a completely different set of facts that race baiters could regret attempting to alter.

Another interesting aspect to all of this involves the multiple attempts by Sanford police to find inconsistencies in Zimmerman's account.

The law-enforcement source said Sanford police investigators interviewed Zimmerman three times about the shooting. The last time followed a walk-through of the shooting site. Afterward, three detectives grilled Zimmerman at police headquarters in their most thorough and hostile questioning, according to the source. They told Zimmerman they didn’t believe him, the source said, and tried to poke holes in his story.

A spokesman for the Sanford Police Department declined to comment on the case.

The precise details of that story are crucial to the case against Zimmerman. Perhaps the key issue will be who instigated the confrontation. The brief affidavit filed by the special prosecutor in support of the murder charge contends that Zimmerman provoked the encounter by following and confronting the teenager.

Note the last part. If special prosecutor Angela Corey charged Zimmerman based on an affidavit that said he provoked the encounter while multiple police investigators determined something else entirely, this could be a battle between Sandford police and the special prosecutor, not just one between Zimmerman and the Martin family. In fact, Corey's decision to indict Martin actually makes the Sandford police look incompetent. If they aren't and got it right, they're likely going to defend themselves. If they have the truth on their side, they'll probably be able to back it up.

Reuters reports on Zimmerman taking voice stress test; all but neglects that he passed it

The Trayvon Martin case has morphed from a story about a black youth being murdered in cold blood by an older white male into an all-out referendum on the mainstream media for its gross and collective misconduct. Now we've learned that George Zimmerman was given a voice stress test shortly after the shooting. However, if you read the Reuters article written by Stephanie Rabiner, the story is handled with egregious bias. Though it's not on the same level as what happened with the selective editing of Zimmerman's 911 call at NBC, it's clearly in the same spirit.

Here is the Reuters headline:

Naturally, after reading the headline, your next question would be, "Well, did he pass it?"

Here is what Rabiner reported in the next two paragraphs:

Did you know that, on the night of Trayvon Martin's death, Sanford police gave George Zimmerman a voice stress test?

They did, and the results probably contributed to his release.

In Journalism, there is a commonly understood rule (though Reuters seems more interested in avoiding it when following that rule conflicts with their agenda). It says that the most important news item is in the headline, with the first paragraph picking up on the headline and giving you the most important detail not communicated by the headline. It can be argued that there are three important aspects to this particular story. The first is that Zimmerman was issued a voice stress test; the second is the results; and the third is the viability of the test itself.

Rabiner avoided mentioning the results in the headline as well as in the very first paragraph. In fact, the first paragraph is completely irrelevant to the story! By the time she even gets to the issue of the results, she does so while implying that the police relied on those results when making the decision not to arrest Zimmerman.

The article then goes on to essentially discredit the voice stress test by citing a Justice Department study that says it's virtually useless:

Expert opinion is mixed, but a study commissioned by the Justice Department suggests that a voice stress test is "no better than flipping a coin."

Uh, would that be the racially biased Eric Holder-led Justice Department? Wow. Does anyone think that would be in there if Zimmerman had failed the test?

Now, go back to the beginning of the article where it says that police may have released Zimmerman based, in part, on his passing the test. Is this not a slap at the Sanford police for being so incompetent as to release Zimmerman based on a discredited test? Reuters is editorializing with these subtle inferences and is basically doing what NBC was caught doing, though in a more nuanced way.

Again, the top two relevant facts about this story are Zimmerman taking the test and Zimmerman passing the test. Rabiner doesn't mention the results until the last paragraph and only after she has attempted to discredit the viability of the test itself:

George Zimmerman's voice stress test came out clean, according to attorney Hal Uhrig. If the Sanford Police Department is willing to spend more than $10,000 on the product, then it probably trusts its results. And those results probably corroborated what officers initially saw at the scene.

Reuters knows that the least read paragraph of any story is the last one. That's why it placed the most relevant, fair paragraph penned by Rabiner at the very end of the story.

Here is how a headline and first paragraph might look if the story was written by an objective news source:

Zimmerman reportedly passed Voice Stress Test administered by Police

The attorney for George Zimmerman says that his client passed a voice stress test administered by police on the night of Trayvon Martin's death but the viability of such a test is a subject of debate.

Every important aspect to the story is covered, no sides are taken, and the reader may or may not decide to read further.

Unfortunately, the firing of a "seasoned producer" at NBC hasn't done much for the toxic mainstream media culture. It's like removing one fire ant from a pile.

Is Arizona State Legislature suffering from John Boehner syndrome?

Do you remember when news broke earlier this year that Rep. Darrell Issa and Sen. Charles Grassley were going to get support at the Arizona state level with respect to the Fast and Furious investigation? Yeah, well, not only has the deadline for the legislature to provide its findings come and gone but there hasn't been ONE SINGLE PUBLIC MEETING on the topic.

The special state committee, created in January to investigate the controversial ATF Fast and Furious case, will not meet its March 30, 2012 deadline to provide its findings about the controversial case to the governor.

According to Rey Torres, the Director of Communications for the Arizona House of Representatives, the Ad Hoc Committee on Operation Fast and Furious has not yet held a meeting and currently has no meeting scheduled. 

The group was formed to investigate the factual background of the flawed Fast and Furious case , in which ATF agents admitted to allowing straw buyers to obtain weapons and distribute them to known criminals.

Torres said it is unlikely that a meeting will be scheduled before the legislative session is finished sometime next month.

Additionally, there is new information on one of the Fast and Furious guns recovered at a crime scene in Maricopa County two years ago. This news report focuses on the apprehension of a suspect driving a stolen vehicle that was carrying an AK-47 connected to Fast and Furious. The criminal actually pointed a separate gun at the police officer who was chasing him but it's easy to imagine a scenario whereby the driver of the stolen vehicle could have fatally shot a police officer.

Audio: Does this show that Zimmerman stopped following Trayvon?

We still do not know what ultimately happened in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. One narrative that has been put forward, however, is that George Zimmerman continued following Trayvon despite being told by Police not to do so.

This audio recording of the 911 call appears to indicate that Zimmerman ceased following Martin once he was told to stop. At the 2:13 mark, you can hear the request made by the dispatcher. You can also hear Zimmerman's response, which is "ok."

Why George Zimmerman being a Democrat matters

When it comes to the Trayvon Martin murder, the mainstream media has tried to push a narrative very similar to the one it manufactured in the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting - with the added fuel of a racial angle - on the American people. That narrative (sometimes overt, other times implied) has been that Trayvon's killer was a conservative Republican. He was also a white male who, while bitterly clinging to his gun and his religion, stalked a young black teen and shot him just because of the color of that teen's skin.

Tailor-made for the predispositions of the race baiters who profit from rubbing raw - in quintessential Alinsky fashion - the sores of discontent, right?

Uh, not so much. George Zimmerman is a latino and a Democrat. In fact, the media is generally ignoring that fact, referring to Zimmerman as a "white hispanic," whatever that is. In a normal world, those things shouldn't be relevant but in order to blunt the incendiary tactics of the mainstream media, which is full of liberal apparatchiks, seemingly irrelevant and tangential facts must be underscored in order to diffuse the racially charged climate created by the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Now, as I wrote about here, the possibility exists that Zimmerman shot Trayvon because the latter actually went for the former's gun.

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.

Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.

The new information is the most complete version yet of what Zimmerman claims happened on the night of Feb. 26 when he shot and killed the teenager.

In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.

The fact remains that we don't have all the facts as the left continues to manufacture false realities.

When Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was shot early last year, the mainstream media thought it had the perfect political narrative; a deranged Tea Party conservative was driven over the edge by Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin's target chart.

Again, Uh, not so much. Jared Loughner was apolitical at best and if he wasn't, he was a deranged leftist who listed the Communist manifesto as one of his favorite books.

Occupy Oakland is back for 'Spring Offensive,' using Trayvon Martin killing as fuel

We knew this was coming. The Occupy movement miscreants - who cried uncle in the face of disease, rapes, murders, assaults, arson, mountains of human waste, and the bitter winter cold - have climbed back out of their holes (made warm by someone else's hard work). Perhaps the city with the worst reputation when it comes to the OWS movement (worst of the worst) is Oakland, which is coincidentally, where Van Jones is from.

As added incentive, Occupy Oakland is using the Trayvon Martin killing as fuel for its crime spree, masked as a righteous encampment.

OAKLAND, Calif. — Occupy Oakland activists have set up a new encampment in a park north of downtown, calling it a response to the recent arrests of protesters in New York and the shooting death of an unarmed Florida teenager.

About a dozen people in six tents spent Wednesday night in Mosswood Park at Broadway and West MacArthur Boulevard. They were still there Thursday.

Police visited the group around 9 a.m. but did not ask them to leave, according to protesters.

"This is the start of the spring offensive," said Melvin Kelley, a member of the group's Tactical Action Committee. "This is our new encampment until May 1, when we retake" Frank Ogawa Plaza, which the group occupied last year.

Kelley said the activists had pitched tents to show support for Occupy Wall Street protesters who were arrested in New York's Zuccotti Park last week while commemorating the six-month anniversary of the movement.

They are also protesting the killing of Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African American who was shot to death by a white man in a gated community near Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 26. The man, George Zimmerman, says he was defending himself against the unarmed teen and has not been arrested.

The description of Zimmerman as a "white man" is a bit misleading. He is actually a Latino. Say, are these OWS movements made up of any Hispanics? Video Disgrace: OWS Protesters 'Fish' for Cops with Doughnut

Beginning in the 1960's, miscreants like these learned that if they engaged police officers when news cameras were around, the perception of police brutality was easily created. Often, protesters would taunt police until those cameras arrived, which made the inevitable confrontation look more brutal. In reality, the punks often got what they deserved. However, like is almost always the case, retaliatory strikes are the only ones caught on camera (check out unnecessary roughness calls in football). It was a tactic championed by Bill Ayers' Weather Underground and it was effective.

Contrast that with this video, shot at Union Square in New York. A row of police officers is keeping OWS'rs at bay and one of the protesters has a doughnut tied to the end of a string, which is tied to the end of a stick. As the punk mockingly and repeatedly casted his doughnut toward the police, the crowd laughed and chanted in support.

In the 1960's, the student might put the doughnut away before television news cameras arrived and scream about police brutality as he was getting what he had coming to him. Today, thanks to YouTube, we can see the whole story and it reveals a disgraceful bunch made up of petulant children in adult bodies.

How are these Four Men Connected?

Ok, clockwise from top left: President Barack Obama, Hollywood celebrity and Obama shill George Clooney, Invisible Children filmmaker and producer of Kony 2012 Jason Russell at lunchtime on a San Diego street corner, and Northern Sudan President / Muslim Brotherhood backed Omar al-Bashir. How on earth are these four men connected, you ask? Look at the photos and I explain at bottom.

Let's start with the naked guy, Jason Russell. He is the producer of the wildly viral Kony 2012 video. The stated intent of the film was to make Joseph Kony famous. Kony, a sick and evil warlord who is much less effective today than he was five years ago, is responsible for tens of thousands of murders in Uganda; his soldiers would raid villages, make the children kill their parents and then turn those children into soldiers for his sick, sick army. On its face, the video was produced for a good cause - to garner international support against Kony so he could be arrested and tried by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The Obama administration endorsed the film, as did Hollywood celebrities like Oprah and P. Diddy. Russell stood to be a major player on the international stage but in the film, he is heard saying that Kony "is supported by no one." This is absolutely and demonstrably false. For years, Kony has been supported by the man pictured to Russell's left - Omar al-Bashir.

On Thursday, March 15th, Russell took to the streets without clothes and behaved in a most bizarre fashion; he allegedly "touched himself," vandalized cars (where did he hide the spray paint?), and repeatedly smacked the sidewalk with his hands while apparently doing a monkey impression.

Interestingly and coincidentally, on the same day (possibly at the exact same time) Russell was pounding sidewalk, Clooney was meeting with Barack Obama at the White House. The two men allegedly discussed Clooney's concerns about what was going on in the Sudan. Did Russell feel crowded out? If he knew that Clooney was drawing attention to Bashir (the real power behind Kony), did he conclude that Kony was being rendered irrelevant? Did it cause him to go stark raving mad on the streets of San Diego in broad daylight? For the record, the reason given for Russell's naked outburst was that he was exhausted and dehydrated but not on any medication. If we accept that premise, can you think of a better reason for someone to do what Russell is pictured doing above?

One day later (after Russell pounded pavement and Clooney met with Obama), the Hollywood celebrity - along with several far left Democratic congressmen and Ben Jealous, the head of the NAACP - stormed the Sudanese embassy in Washington, D.C. to protest Bashir (pictured at bottom left). The photo of Clooney above was taken shortly after his arrest for the incident. Though he denied discussing the incident with Obama beforehand, the timing of all of this is mighty coincidental.

Bashir is the Muslim Brotherhood's guy in the Sudan so why would Obama be supporting Clooney's efforts to protest a Muslim Brotherhood guy? The Obama administration has been Muslim Brotherhood-friendly in practically every respect since the president spoke in Cairo back in 2009.

The answer may be found in the name Hasan al-Turabi. He is much more radical than Bashir (if that's possible). He is also more of a Muslim Brotherhood loyalist than is Bashir, who is more of a tea leaf-reading political animal; he formed a very serviceable alliance of understanding with Egypt's Mubarak while jailing Turabi. Mubarak isn't in power anymore and the Brotherhood very well may prefer Turabi to Bashir.

If Obama really wanted to please the Muslim Brotherhood, he might be interested in seeing Bashir replaced by Turabi; that would make Russell and Clooney both useful idiots.

There you have it.

Video: Kony 2012 Producer gets Naked, Vandalizes cars and Masturbates; Police say nothing Illegal

Uh, where do you go with this one? First, here is video of Kony 2012 Producer Jason Russell, shot from what appears to be an apartment balcony. This video isn't too graphic. It's from a distance and shows Russell repeatedly smacking his hands on the sidewalk.

Ok, got it? Now, take a look at the news report from San Diego's NBC affiliate. Note how at the end, after the reporter in the field kicks it back to the studio, that the male anchor actually says that Russell did nothing "illegal."

In an MSNBC report on the story, a spokeswoman for the San Diego police department explained why Russell's actions did not warrant a criminal behavior designation:

Russell's wife, Danica, was also quoted in the MSNBC story as saying that her husband behaved so bizarrely because he was... tired:

Russell "did some irrational things brought on by extreme exhaustion and dehydration," his wife said Friday night, a day after he was detained over reports of a man masturbating and acting strangely, NBC News reported.

Danica Russell, in a family statement obtained by NBC News, suggested sudden attention and criticism of the film may have led to her husband's behavior.

"We thought a few thousand people would see the film, but in less than a week, millions of people around the world saw it," Danica Russell said. "While that attention was great for raising awareness about Joseph Kony, it also brought a lot of attention to Jason -- and, because of how personal the film is, many of the attacks against it were also very personal, and Jason took them very hard.

Chris Christie's Curious defense of Muslim Groups against NYPD

Last year, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie turned his bombastic persona (made famous when he attacked Union defenders) on those who questioned his appointment of a Muslim judge with questionable ties to Islamist groups.

This year, he has been an outspoken critic of the NYPD for its surveillance tactics used on Muslim groups, which included ones in New Jersey. Anyone with a modicum of awareness about the allegiances of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) knows that the NYPD was more than justified in its concerns.

Nonetheless, Christie's criticism of the NYPD raises some questions, especially in light of his defense of Sohail Mohammed last year.

Heated rhetoric between New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and New York officials over the NYPD's surveillance activities on Muslim subjects in New Jersey is reviving questions about Christie's views toward radical Islam.

Christie expressed anger about the surveillance following disclosures in a series of Associated Press reports. "I don't know if this NYPD action was born out of arrogance, or out of paranoia, or out of both," he said when asked about it on his monthly radio show, "but we're taking a real good, strong hard look at it from a policy perspective at the governor's office level."

That prompted U.S. Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., to tell a radio interviewer "I wish Chris Christie was more concerned about keeping people alive than he is about trying to score cheap political points."

Jonathan Tobin analyzes the situation, finding it is more than "two politicians who love to run their mouths and are intolerant of criticism." Rather, he sees Christie cynically choosing sides to cultivate Muslim political support. As the Investigative Project on Terrorism reported last year, Christie's appointment of Sohail Mohammed to be a state judge was a troubling sign. Mohammed had represented Mohammed Qatanani, an imam suspected of Hamas ties, in a deportation case.

"Christie not only sought to prevent the deportation but spoke at the imam's mosque which had previously been the site of a $2 million fundraiser for Hamas by the now banned Holy Land Foundation," Tobin writes.

Christie, then a U.S. Attorney, took sides against the Department of Homeland Security by allowing a top lieutenant to testify as a character witness for the imam. Christie later embraced Qatanani at a Ramadan breakfast.

That puts THIS in a new context, doesn't it?

New Jersey Sheriff hires Anti-Islam man to train Deputies

Expect this to get national attention fairly quickly. The federal government has proven to be either completely inept or complicit when it comes to the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood to our homeland. The state governments seem to be only mildly better and only seem to run into the federal government buzz saw when they address the problems (anti-Sharia law in Oklahoma for example).

Enter Rutherford Country Sheriff Robert Arnold in New Jersey. He has hired, retired FBI agent John Guandolo, one of the most outspoken critics of Islam, Sharia Law, and the Muslim Brotherhood to train his deputies.

A former FBI agent who claims Nashville’s mosques have no legal right to exist is training the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office about Islam and the threats of terrorism.

John Guandolo, vice president of the Arlington, Va.-based Strategic Engagement Group, is leading training being held at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. He spoke at an anti-Shariah law event at Cornerstone Church in Madison on Nov. 11, calling local mosques front organizations for the Muslim Brotherhood with no right to exist.

“They do not have a First Amendment right to do anything,” Guandolo said then.

Rutherford Sheriff Robert Arnold said his department simply wants to learn about Muslim culture.

“There are not many classes out there for anything when it comes to Muslims … but this training isn’t just about that, it has many other components to it,” he said. “My stance is and my office’s stance is, we are not here to pick sides. I am here to protect the people of this county, and I am never going to waiver from that.”

When it comes to county sheriffs standing up to do the job neither the federal nor state governments are doing, Arnold is not alone.
