The case of Mohamed ElBaradei and be careful what you wish for

As the 'Arab Spring' was dawning in Egypt in early 2011, perhaps one of the most prominent and loudest voices that demanded the ouster of Hosni Mubarak was former Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohamed ElBaradei. Here is an excerpt of an interview he gave a short time before Mubarak stepped down.

Via Der Spiegel:
SPIEGEL: Shouldn't you be headed down to Tahrir Square to try to use your authority to calm people down there?

ElBaradei: I was there once, and things broke out in turmoil. I need to watch out for my own safety. There are people who think they'd be doing the regime a favor by killing me. The longer things continue on this way with Mubarak, the clearer it becomes that the country is imploding both politically and economically. Mubarak must go; not at some point, but now. I believe the Americans are also getting very impatient.

SPIEGEL: You've given Mubarak an ultimatum. It expired on Friday, which the demonstrators dubbed the "day of departure" ...

ElBaradei: ... and I will say it again: He must go away quickly. I'm sure that some Arab country will take him in. I've heard from Bahrain. If he still has one spark of patriotism, this is his last chance.
As Egypt's newly elected Muslim Brotherhood leader Muhammad Mursi doubles down on dictatorship at breakneck speed, ElBaradei's perception of the implosion of Egypt in early 2011 is nothing compared to what he's seeing now. As for his comment to Der Spiegel that the "Americans are also getting very impatient," his recent comments indicate that he would like to see that impatience continue but, to this point, the White House has been virtually silent over Mursi's most recent power grab.

Via Neil Munroe at the Daily Caller:
Morsi decreed Nov. 22 that his pronouncements and edicts were beyond the reach of judicial review. The announcement was met by resistance from the nation’s top judges, who said they would fight Morsi’s unusual self-elevation to near-dictator status.

“I am waiting to see, I hope soon, a very strong statement of condemnation by the U.S., by Europe and by everybody who really cares about human dignity,” declared Mohamed ElBaradei, who is one of Egypt’s more visible non-Islamist politicians.
This was a very foreseeable problem. Those of us who saw the 'Arab Spring' for what it was had far better vision than the likes of ElBaradei, who is becoming like another in a long line of Arab secularists who never seem to learn that when it comes down to them vs. the Islamists, the Islamists always seem to win.

As for that American (Obama administration) impatience now compared to then, Munroe seemed to sum that up quite succinctly:
There has been no White House response to ElBaradei’s Nov. 24 comments.
To be fair to ElBaradei, he's not the only secularist who was wrong. Just look at practically every Democratic politician in the U.S., a handful of Republicans, and the mainstream media.

It isn't rocket science but liberal secularists still never get it.

Obama Administration pushed 'Religious Intolerance' Resolution

Those attacks on U.S. embassies are not only looking more like a Middle Eastern nudge toward suppression of free speech but also an attempt to make the Obama administration follow through on a U.N. Resolution it supported last year. In a sane world, this might be considered an unintended consequence but under Obama, very few consequences are unintended.

Via CNS News from December of 2011:
The U.N. General Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution condemning the stereotyping, negative profiling and stigmatization of people based on their religion, and urging countries to take effective steps “to address and combat such incidents.”

No member state called for a recorded vote on the text, which was as a result adopted “by consensus.”

The resolution, an initiative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is based on one passed by the U.N.’s Human Rights Council in Geneva last spring. The State Department last week hosted a meeting to discuss ways of “implementing” it.

Every year since 1999 the OIC has steered through the U.N.’s human rights apparatus a resolution condemning the “defamation of religion,” which for the bloc of 56 Muslim states covered incidents ranging from satirizing Mohammed in a newspaper cartoon to criticism of shari’a and post-9/11 security check profiling.

Critics regard the measure as an attempt to outlaw valid and critical scrutiny of Islamic teachings, as some OIC states do through controversial blasphemy laws at home.
Gee, I wonder how many figures in the Muslim world decided to try to "implement" the resolution by attacking U.S. Embassies on 9/11.

Report: Maxine Waters expresses support for Sharia Law, Muslim Brotherhood

She is  a registered member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) caucus and now, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is apparently on record as expressing support for sharia law. She did so while attending a town hall meeting at the Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC), which is led by a man who used to be president of a Muslim Brotherhood front group in the United States.

Via One News Now:
A town hall meeting at the Islamic Society of Orange County earlier this year declared there is no conflict between sharia law, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Several lawmakers and officials in The Golden State -- including Democratic U.S. Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Loretta Sanchez; Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Michael Downing; and Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca -- urged support for sharia law. In several recently released videos from the event, officials said that sharia is not a threat to the United States.
In case you're wondering if there's any connection between the ISOC and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the short answer is, yes. The Religious Director of ISOC is a man named Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, who was the president of ISNA at the time of 9/11.

Here is his bio from the ISOC website:
Dr. Siddiqi worked with many Islamic organizations in Switzerland, England and the United States. He was Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee of the Muslim Students Association in US and Canada. Siddiqi also served as Director of the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C. He served two terms (1997-2001) as President of the Islamic Society of North America with Headquarters in Indiana. Since 1981, he is serving as the Director of the Islamic Society of Orange County in Garden Grove, California. He also served as the Chairman of the Shura Council of Southern California, an organization representing the Islamic centers, masajid and organizations in Southern California. He is the Chairman of the Fiqh (Islamic Law) Council of North America. He is a founding member of the Council of Mosques in US and Canada.
As the president of the ISNA, Siddiqi led a group that has pledged the destruction of the United States from within - through people like Waters and Sanchez. Here is the relevant excerpt from a document known as "An Explanatory Memorandum" that was introduced into evidence at the Holy Land Foundation trial:
The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.
Logically, "their hands" refers to people like Waters and Sanchez and the "hands of the believers" refers to people like Siddiqi, who led one of 29 like-minded groups (ISNA) identified in that Explanatory Memorandum, which was penned in 1991. Five leaders of HLF were convicted on all counts in 2008, related to funding Hamas.

Yet, Waters and Sanchez are standing shoulder to shoulder with a man who led the ISNA; they continue to get reelected; ISNA continues to gain access to power; and very few seem all that interested  in calling these congresswomen out.

Democrats are not the only ones to have had these head-scratching encounters. Here is George W. Bush with Siddiqi just 15 days after 9/11:

Ok, some might say, it's unfair to point this out based on the gift of hindsight, that Bush didn't know. Simply not possible. Ask yourselves how much access to intelligence the Bush administration had after 9/11. It was an all-hands-on-deck time. Are we to believe his administration did not know about Siddiqi's background?

Not buying it.

Another reason given by some for Bush's coziness with then ISNA president is the "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" credo. Even if we give the Bush administration the benefit of the doubt on that, it begs one very simple question:

How's that working out?

Does Anthony Weiner's Mother-in-Law Condone his Raping her Daughter?

Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack

It's common knowledge that former Congressman Anthony Weiner has had trouble suppressing his sexual appetites but if one of those appetites is the rape of his wife – Huma Abedin – his mother-in-law shouldn't object, according to the standards of a group she endorses.

Saleha Abedin, Weiner's mother-in-law, is not only a leader of the Muslim Sisterhood but she has endorsed the mission of the International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child (IICWC), which includes the acceptance of marital rape. This became apparent when her name appeared on the list of participants of the Islamic Conference for The Islamic Uprising.

Here is a screen shot from the Rabita Trust website that has since been scrubbed. It highlights Saleha's membership with IICWC:

This presents quite the conundrum for the elder Abedin because it would mean that she not only permitted her practicing Muslim daughter to marry a Jew but that Huma's rape at Weiner's hand must be considered acceptable to Saleha as well.

The reason Saleha does not have a problem with the marriage in the first place is almost certainly due to a tactic that Huma is employing. It's called Muruna and it permits the lifting of all prohibitions in Islam if the objective is to further the cause of Islam itself.

Does Muruna sanction a Muslim woman submitting to rape by a Jewish man if he is her husband?

Though difficult to fathom, there is precedent in Islam's holy writ for marital rape. Consider Qur'an 2:223, which says:
Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will...
If there is one shining example of having complete control over - and no respect for - one's wife, the right to rape her would be it. Yet, in the wake of the twitter sexting scandal last year, Weiner allegedly said the following about his sexual addictions according to the New York Post:
“My problem is that I have three women I have to convince that I'm cured: Huma, her mother -- and Hillary,” Weiner, 46, told a friend...
Why would the former Congressman have to convince his mother-in-law that he's cured of a sex addiction when evidence exists that she condones the rape of her daughter by the Jewish Weiner?

In fact, wouldn't Saleha have the bigger problem under such a scenario?

**UPDATE** Contrary to some of the reaction to this post, we in no way are making the claim that Anthony Weiner is a rapist. The point is that based on Saleha Abedin's connection to the IICWC, which condones marital rape (in much the same way that Planned Parenthood condones abortion), it seems that she would condone such a practice within the marriage between her daughter and Weiner.

Fort Hood Jihadist Attorneys: Military preventing Muslims from being on Jury

If you find yourself wondering why the trial of Nidal Malik Hasan still hasn't so much as completed jury selection after nearly three years since he murdered 14 people, perhaps the latest bit of insane news will help to explain it. Apparently, the defense team thinks the Military is discriminating against potential Muslim jurors.

Via Temple Daily Telegram:
The jury panel selection process for the court-martial of Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal M. Hasan has been described by the defense team as a “highly unusual process” that it wants to know more about.

When pre-trial hearings in the case resume on Friday, look for Judge Col. Gregory Gross to address several points raised by Hasan’s attorneys last week that suggest the military might have screened out Islamic officers in advance.

Army prosecutors in the case say the allegation is simply not true but the defense team wants proof.

They are asking the judge to release paperwork associated with the panel selection so they can better understand the process. In addition, the defense wants to interview Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell, Fort Hood's commanding  general and Staff Judge Advocate Col. Stuart Risch, Campbell's senior legal advisor, to determine if thee was command influence exerted from beyond the gates at Fort Hood.
I fail to see what's so difficult about this. Wives of police officers are not permitted to serve on juries in criminal cases because of an obvious and inherent bias. Muslims should not be allowed to serve on the jury in the Fort Hood Shooter case for the same reason. According to Islam, Hasan was justified.

Instead of taking the position that they're NOT screening out potential Muslim jurors, perhaps the Military / prosecutors should say they did while citing the Qur'an and the Hadith as justification.

Video: Muslim Judge in Pennsylvania on CNN

Consider this guy busted. His name is Mark Martin and he is a Muslim Judge from Pennsylvania. He presided over a case in which an atheist named Ernest Perce was allegedly assaulted by a Muslim bystander during a Halloween parade. Perce was dressed as a "Muhammad Zombie" and his Muslim assailant was so offended and so nervous that he dialed 9-4-4 instead of 9-1-1 in an attempt to report Perce for doing something illegal (dressing up as a Muhammad Zombie is not illegal).

According to an article by Pamela Geller at American Thinker, Martin has denied that he's a Muslim, despite his confession to the contrary, which can be heard on the audio recording of the trial; it was released by Perce on YouTube and can be heard HERE.

Today, Martin - who is clearly on defense now - appeared on CNN and was interviewed by Soledad O'Brien about his ruling, which was for the Muslim assailant. As Martin issued his ruling, it sounded more like a defense of Islam than of the U.S. Constitution. Perce was chastised and called a "doofus" by Martin, who ultimately ruled in favor of the Muslim defendant.

Anyway, here is Martin's appearance on CNN. Pay particularly close attention at the end as Martin actually compares Perce to the KKK while making the argument that just because the Klan had the first amendment right to wear sheets didn't mean that it was right.

Uh, Mr. Muslim Judge, the KKK dressed in white sheets before they went on killing sprees that likely began with assaults. In this case, the guy you compare to the KKK wasn't looking to hurt anyone. In fact, he was the one assaulted.

Audio: American Judge implementing Sharia Law from the Bench

For all the Ron Pauliens who think the Islamic threat to America is overrated, it's time to take note. A Judge in Pennsylvania presided over a trial in which an atheist who dressed up as a "Muhammad zombie" during a Halloween parade was assaulted by an angry Muslim spectator. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania brought assault charges against the assailant, who thought it was against the law for anyone to do such a thing.

Those of us who live under the United States constitution know that is incorrect. Assaulting someone is against the law and freedom of expression is not.

That's not the worst part. The victim in this assault is a man named Ernest Perce. The Judge in the trial is a convert to Islam; his name is Mark Martin. Not only did Martin find for the defendant but he did so based solely on Sharia law. Additionally, Martin is now threatening to jail Perce for recording the audio of the proceedings and putting it on YouTube (below).

Stranger still is the fact that Perce got permission from Martin to make the recording!

Anyway, here is the audio of the proceedings, recorded by Perce. It is long but well worth it, particularly toward the end, when you hear the rationale for Martin's ruling. If you don't have time, Shoebat has a breakdown of some key times in the video where you can fast forward.

Just to give you an idea of what to expect, check out this quote from Martin, via Atlas Shrugs:
American Judge in American court (minute 29:50): "Our forefathers intended that we use the first amendment so that we could speak what's on our mind, not piss off other cultures..... Islam is not just a religion, it's their culture, their culture, the very essence, their very being. They pray five times a day, towards Mecca. To be a good Muslim before you die, you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca unless you are otherwise told you cannot because you are too ill, too elderly, whatever, you must make the attempt. Their greetings salum alaikum waliakum as-salm )as answered by voice), uh may god be with you. It is very common, their language, when they are speaking to each other, it is very common for them to say, uh allah willing, this will happen. It's they are so immersed in it. And what you've done is you've completey trashed their essence, their being. They find it very, very, very offensive. I am a Muslim. I find it very offensive ..... You are way outside your bounds of first amendment rights."
What say you, Ron Pauliens?

New Jersey Sheriff hires Anti-Islam man to train Deputies

Expect this to get national attention fairly quickly. The federal government has proven to be either completely inept or complicit when it comes to the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood to our homeland. The state governments seem to be only mildly better and only seem to run into the federal government buzz saw when they address the problems (anti-Sharia law in Oklahoma for example).

Enter Rutherford Country Sheriff Robert Arnold in New Jersey. He has hired, retired FBI agent John Guandolo, one of the most outspoken critics of Islam, Sharia Law, and the Muslim Brotherhood to train his deputies.

Via the Tennessean:
A former FBI agent who claims Nashville’s mosques have no legal right to exist is training the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office about Islam and the threats of terrorism.

John Guandolo, vice president of the Arlington, Va.-based Strategic Engagement Group, is leading training being held at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. He spoke at an anti-Shariah law event at Cornerstone Church in Madison on Nov. 11, calling local mosques front organizations for the Muslim Brotherhood with no right to exist.

“They do not have a First Amendment right to do anything,” Guandolo said then.

Rutherford Sheriff Robert Arnold said his department simply wants to learn about Muslim culture.

“There are not many classes out there for anything when it comes to Muslims … but this training isn’t just about that, it has many other components to it,” he said. “My stance is and my office’s stance is, we are not here to pick sides. I am here to protect the people of this county, and I am never going to waiver from that.”
When it comes to county sheriffs standing up to do the job neither the federal nor state governments are doing, Arnold is not alone.

Check out the County Sheriff Project. Though it doesn't focus on Islam, the CSP consists of sheriffs that appear to be drawing a line in the sand when it comes to its constituents.

Here is video of Guandolo you dont' want to miss:

The 9/11 Commission Report - Part II

Former legal counsel to the 9/11 Commission, Janice Kephart is a border / immigration expert who was an integral part of the 9/11 Commission, which concluded that Iran and Hezbollah were likely involved in the 9/11 attacks. The Commission recommended that the United States Government (USG) pursue those leads. USG never followed up but a private sector law firm did. That law firm's conclusions shine an even bigger spotlight on the Obama administration's decision to give an Iran-sponsored terrorist the red carpet treatment.
The 9/11 Commission Report - Part II
Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack

If the government has Ten Commandments, the game of politics, not homeland security, would be at the top of the list. Eager to play the game, the Obama Administration pulled out of Iraq in time for Christmas as it welcomed Iran’s puppets into the Oval Office. The Iraqi delegation, headed by Nouri al-Maliki, included a conspirator in Iran’s terror campaigns—the Iraqi Minister of Transportation, Hadi al-Ameri.

To quash the voices of survivors and victims' families who linked al-Ameri to American deaths in the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, the Obama administration replied, “There is no evidence of Hadi al-Ameri's involvement in any act of violence against U.S. Citizens.”

However, when dots are connected, they point to al-Ameri being an Iranian agent—a first-class terrorist. Ten days after al-Ameri's visit to the White House, US District Judge George B. Daniels signed a 53 page document in Havlish v. Iran that included 276 Statements of Fact and 35 Conclusions of Law in his ruling that the 9/11 attacks were the result of an “Iran-Hezbollah-al Qaeda alliance.” The document showed one Abolghasem Mesbahi—who had defected years earlier after receiving a tip from a colleague that he was on the regime's kill list while working for Iran’s Ministry of Information and Security (MOIS)—testified that MOIS gave material support to Hezbollah. His credible testimony included three coded messages he received in the weeks leading up to the 9/11 attacks from contacts he had inside Iran.

The case revealed that Imad Mughniyah, once Iran's notorious Hezbollah leader, was involved in coordinating and facilitating the 9/11 attacks and committed “numerous terrorist operations against American citizens.” He cracked the FBI's “Most Wanted” list for twenty-one years but al-Ameri’s terrorist rap sheet puts him on par with Mughniyah, whose connection with the Iranian Revolution is not without significance. Arabic translations surfaced from Al-Malaf Net in Amman, Jordan; they uncovered top-secret documents years ago that identified Al-Ameri as:

“...the most prominent identity in this equation. He possesses all the keys relating to the connections with Iran and is in charge of the strongest security authority in Iraq at present—Badr Organization… [al-Ameri] is a high-ranking member in the Central Committee of the institution, known as the Central Authority; it is the largest security/military organization in Iraq that plans and executes dozens of military and security operations against Iran's opposition in various Iraqi cities, on a daily basis. He works directly under the command of Abdel Aziz Al Hakim.

The documents show that al-Ameri’s Badr is the...

“Central Authority, which  receives its Fatwas for assassination operations directly from Khamenei's office. Targets are specified in coordination with the command of the Iranian Ramadan Base. Hence, any agreed upon operation is executed.”

One such document (pictured) discusses working with the Badr terrorist forces for the purpose of liquidating opponents, controlling the media, and using weapons and provisions provided by the Iranian revolution, to combat “Anglo-American” forces.

Havlish identified Al Quds Brigade, of which al-Ameri is a member, as the “foreign division” of another defendant in Havlish, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Al Quds is responsible for overseas terrorism and named one of the “most... violent terrorist organizations in the world.” Al-Ameri's membership in Al Quds was translated to include the names of agents and victims, as well as his Iranian Al Quds secret file number (10074) and bank account number (3014) into which over 2 million Iranian riyals a month was to be paid as blood monies for carrying out acts of terrorism. And if a picture is worth a thousand words, his religious obedience to Iran’s Islamist regime is quite visual in that al-Ameri can be seen bowing and kissing (video below) the hand of his Fuhrer—the Ayatollah himself. Iran's Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran identifies al-Ameri as having been responsible for 150 terrorist operations over a period of time during which the Khobar Towers were bombed.

Janice Kephart, former staff counsel to the 9/11 Commission, was interviewed for this article and explained why these recent discoveries were absent from the 9/11 Commission Report; there wasn't sufficient time to further develop the intelligence prior to its release. Kephart referred to pages 240 – 241, adding that al-Qaeda members avoided having their passports stamped by Iranian border inspectors; and between 8 to 10 of the 9/11 hijackers traveled into or out of Iran prior to 9/11. Kephart concluded that “The document signed by Judge Daniels really represents part two of the 9/11 Commission Report.” “We showed a tangential connection between al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Iran but after several years, the plaintiffs' attorneys in Havlish really got to the heart of that relationship, and it was extensive.” Senior Counsel for 9/11 Commission staff, Dietrich Snell also submitted an affidavit that corroborated this ‘Iranian connection’ evidence.

Al-Ameri's Oval Office visit occurred despite the 9/11 Commission's recommendation that the United States government (USG) explore Iran's involvement in 9/11. Instead, it took a private law firm spending several years doing what the USG would not, while the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta falsely stated:

“...my view is that the region largely rejects Iran and its intentions and I think Iraq is at the top of that list.”
Accuracy in Media's Cliff Kincaid detailed Panetta's close personal friendship with Communist Party member Hugh DeLacy. The two exchanged letters revealing that then-congressman Panetta pledged to show DeLacy “a series of documents on military and foreign policy matters.”

While some might overlook the red carpet treatment given to terrorist al-Ameri as diplomacy, Obama's recent attempts to build ties with Egypt's notorious Muslim Brotherhood will eventually prove to be catastrophic; the entire Middle East has been presented to Islamists on an altar made bloody by thousands of American soldiers and civilians.

After all, it is an election year and politics is the first Commandment.

Video: Palestinian Mufti Tells West Caliphate is coming

How many times do liberals who defend Islamists have to be proven wrong before they have to finally and shamefully admit it? We're eventually going to find out just how intellectually vacant they are on the matter.

Here's what may just be another vain attempt to sound the warning bell. The Palestinian Mufti pledged that the West will fall to an Islamic caliphate and that its citizens either pay the Jizyah tax or get beheaded.

Hey liberal whackos, go ahead and tell us this is tolerant. No, really, go ahead.

TLC's All American Muslim Terrorist Problem

This story continues to unfold. The Learning Channel's program, 'All American Muslim' is supposed to be an accurate portrayal of Muslims in America. An Imam named Husham Alhusayni, who appears prominently in the television show, is a pro-Hezbollah, terrorist-supporting, anti-Semite who has no business being portrayed as a moderate.
All American Muslim's Shockingly Un-American Imam
Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack
Lowe's Home Improvement has found itself at the center of controversy for pulling its advertising from a program called All American Muslim that airs on The Learning Channel (TLC). There is now iron clad proof that if Lowe's had continued its sponsorship, a terrorist-supporting imam would be given a platform with the help of those dollars.
Husham Alhusayni is not just the imam of the Karbala Center in Dearborn, MI. He is also featured in All American Muslim. In the program, Alhusayni presides over marriages within Muslim families.
Alhusayni is a signatory to the Jerusalem Document of 2009. This document refers to the war on Zionism as a war between “good and evil.” Zionism is considered an “aggression” which is infecting “the entire human race.” Muslims are told to “get ready for the holy Jihad” and “continue in the path of Hezbollah,” which is “essential for the Iraqi community living in the Diaspora.”
The document also refers to the “Israeli rape of Jerusalem that was pre-planned by the cursed Basel Conference in 1897.” The Conference took place in Basel, Switzerland and is recognized as the place where the Zionist platform and the World Zionist Organization were created.
The Jerusalem Document goes on to encourage Muslims everywhere to support and align with the goals of Hezbollah in Lebanon. The goals of this organization includes the extermination of Israel.
When speaking to Arabic audiences, the unvarnished Alhusayni is revealed.
In a very telling moment, a YouTube video (9:24 mark) captures Alhusayni talking about “criminals” while appearing to make the point that evil exists in “every nationality” and then speaks broadly about the Jews:
“In America, there is Timothy McVeigh... he's evil. Jeffrey Dahmer... he cut the heads off of children and put it in the refrigerator... he's a criminal. Saddam, he's a criminal, killing innocent people. So are so many Zionists in Palestine, killing innocent people.”
Note the distinction here. This is a direct comparison between a mass murderer, a serial killer, a vicioius tyrant and a large number of unnamed Jews. This is the essence of racism. After all, doublespeak artists live by double standards.
When the Florida Family Association successfully pressured Lowe's Home Improvement to pull its advertising from All American Muslim, a California state senator and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) charged that the association was engaging in religious bigotry. These are serious charges that appear to be rooted in projection on the part of the accusers.
In a radio interview with conservative talk show host Sean Hannity in 2007, Alhusayni repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hezbollah, both of which are designated terrorist organizations that seek the extermination of the Jews. Is this not an advocacy for terrorism based on religious bigotry?
On November 10, 2009 Alhusayni hosted a soccer game between Al-Tadamun and Chelsea on “The Day of Jerusalem.” Following the game, Samir Al-Jabiri and Muhammad Alhasayni thanked the imam and said the victory was “dedicated to honor the souls of the martyrs of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa...” according to an article on the Arab American website. The “martyrs” referred to in this case are clearly terrorists who sought the murder of Jews.
Deceptively, the dress code of Muslim women in All American Muslim is not an accurate portrayal of what religious Muslim women are required to wear. The Muslim women of Husham Alhusayni's mosque must wear a true Hijab, an all black cloak that covers the entire body, save for a small portion of the face – a far cry from the decorative attire that appears on the television show. Photos taken inside the Karbala Center as westerners are being converted clearly demonstrate this.

Alhusayni's role in the television show, coupled with how he runs his mosque, is blatantly inconsistent. Which is the true portrayal of American Muslims? Shouldn't viewers be exposed to that actual portrayal, regardless of what it might be?
For example, an annual occurrence inside Dearborn's Karbala Center is self-flagellation or repetitive whipping of oneself; it can be seen in the videos below. This self-inflicted abuse is done to memorialize the killing of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson, Imam Hussein by the Sunni Muslims. Shouldn't these experiences, if part of the American Muslim experience be included in a program intended to convey that experience?
Why isn't this shown on All American Muslim? After all, the leader of this mosque is featured on the program.
As Nadia Mahdeed from AlSharq Al-Awsat (Middle East News) entered the Karbala Center to interview Alhusayni, she was struck by how many people approached her for not adhering to the dress code:
“I was not wearing a black sheet that women who came to prayer are supposed to wear.”
Mahdeed then relayed what she was told by worshippers:
“The people who came to pray all told me that they have no trust in America. I am amazed since they all enjoyed living in it.”
When she interviewed Alhusayni, she said to him:
“Your followers insisted I mention to you that they hate Saddam Hussein but that they also have no trust in America.”
Alhusayni, a master of political rhetoric, cleverly replied without disagreeing:
“Not many of us trust in the American policy.”
As if underscoring the reality that Alhusayni only wanted to convey a peaceful perception while seeming to support something else entirely, the conflict between the two was not lost on Mahdeed:
“Despite his gracefulness, when I walked out of there, my mind was charged with the slogans of war, not the tranquility of peace that is supposed to exist inside such a place.”
Clearly, TLC's program is intended to portray the Muslim experience as a peaceful one. Yet, a reporter left the mosque of one of the program's featured imams, struck by hateful rhetoric inside what should one of its most peaceful places.
Is this not a disconnect advertisers like Lowe's should reject?
More HERE and HERE.

This should be a very big deal.

Afghanistan: Ten Years later, Zero Christian Churches

Remember when our troops were ordered to burn Christian Bibles in Afghanistan? Chalk this one up to proof that should have been a red flag. The US went into Afghanistan in direct response to 9/11 but when we got there, it became even more apparent how repressive the Taliban regime had been when it came to their implementation of Islam. The battle for hearts and minds included liberating people from the grip of the Taliban. With that liberation came the implied option that people would want an alternative to Islam - an alternative like Christianity. So, how does one explain this?

Via CNS News:
There is not a single, public Christian church left in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. State Department.

This reflects the state of religious freedom in that country ten years after the United States first invaded it and overthrew its Islamist Taliban regime.

In the intervening decade, U.S. taxpayers have spent $440 billion to support Afghanistan's new government and more than 1,700 U.S. military personnel have died serving in that country.

The last public Christian church in Afghanistan was razed in March 2010, according to the State Department's latest International Religious Freedom Report. The report, which was released last month and covers the period of July 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010, also states that “there were no Christian schools in the country.”
A post-Saddam Hussein Iraq has also seen an increase in the persecution and mass exodus of Christians since the US invasion. Perhaps it has something to do with how we allowed the Constitutions in those countries to take shape. A Congressional Research Service report looked at the reasons why Afghanistan is devoid of Christianity. One particular reason sticks out:
The report acknowledged that Afghanistan’s post-Taliban constitution, which was ratified with the help of U.S. mediation in 2004, can be contradictory when it comes to the free exercise of religion.

While the new constitution states that Islam is the “religion of the state” and that “no law can be contrary to the beliefs and provisions of the sacred religion of Islam,” it also proclaims that “followers of other religions are free to exercise their faith and perform their religious rites within the limits of the provisions of the law.”

However, “the right to change one’s religion was not respected either in law or in practice,” according to the State Department.

“Muslims who converted away from Islam risked losing their marriages, rejection from their families and villages, and loss of jobs,” according to the report. “Legal aid for imprisoned converts away from Islam remains difficult due to the personal objection of Afghan lawyers to defend apostates.”
There it is. Sharia Law. It doesn't matter what is in the Iraqi / Afghanistan constitutions. If Islam is the supreme law of the land, all other religions must be rejected. It's a non-negotiable the policy makers in the US conceded.

Want proof? Remember when US troops were ordered to burn Christian Bibles in Afghanistan because our leaders were afraid they would be used to convert people to Christianity?

Pathetic.

Ground Zero Imam Takes off the Mask, Calls for Sharia Law in the US

Last year, Ground Zero mosque imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf had to do everything possible to portray his proposed mosque as a place for 'interfaith dialogue' and himself as 'moderate.' Ground Zero became the epicenter of controversy when Americans finally stood up and said 'no.' Rauf ultimately stepped down from his post at the head of the Cordoba Initiative, a name that is inherently incendiary. Former Muslim Brotherhood activist Walid Shoebat translated Rauf's Arabic and determined that the imam was not the man he was being portrayed as. Now, as if we needed it, here is more proof straight from Rauf's mouth. He's calling for Sharia Law in the US and the UK.

From the Scotland Herald via Atlas Shrugs:
AMERICA’S most controversial imam – the man at the centre of the storm over plans for the “Ground Zero Mosque” in New York last year – flew into Edinburgh yesterday to tell the Festival of Spirituality and Peace that greater integration between Islam and the West depends on the incorporation of Sharia law into the legal systems of the UK and the United States as well as Muslims adopting the culture of their host countries.

Many see Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf as an Islamic moderate even though he has been vilified in the US press as an apologist for radical Muslims. In an interview with the Sunday Herald, Rauf said he believes the world is in the grip of a “dangerous myth” and “self-fulfilling prophecy” that “Islam and the West are at war. But the real battleground is not between Islam and the West, but between the wise, fair-minded people of all faith traditions and the extremists.”

Although he is a pro-US imam who has argued that America is the embodiment of Islam’s ideal society, Rauf became a hate figure in the US over the so-called Ground Zero Mosque. The plan offended relatives of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and led to a US pastor proposing a “Burn a Koran day”.
As if that weren't enough, while visiting Scotland, Rauf expressed his support for the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.

Via the UK's Milngavie Herald:
An American Muslim leader who spearheaded plans for a controversial Islamic community centre near the site of the World Trade Centre has supported the decision to ban a far-right group from marching in Scotland on the eve of 9/11.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, whose proposed Park51 Islamic community centre was dubbed a "megamosque" by critics who objected to its proximity to New York's 'Ground Zero', has given a talk in Scotland's capital.

He was invited to speak at the Festival of Spirituality and Peace by Edinburgh University's Prince Alwaleed Centre for the Study of Islam.

Imam Feisal added that he supported the Scottish Government's decision to release Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the Libyan Muslim who is the only man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing, but he would have been equally supportive if they had decided to keep him in prison.

He said: "I am not a Scotsman so I don't have the jurisdiction to comment, but if the government of Scotland deem that it is in its best interests to do something then it is up to them, but I would have supported their decision either way."
Shoebat translated and posted Rauf's words in Arabic over one year ago that proved this imam's true intentions. Now, Rauf himself is bolstering Shoebat's credibility.

Christmas Day Underwear Bomber says he should be Released because Sharia Law says so

Those who don't understand the 'pushing the envelope' metaphor will never understand 'creeping Sharia' despite it smacking them in the face on a daily basis. In the latest example, the would-be terrorist responsible for giving us full-body scans and TSA groping, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, is claiming that he should be released according to Sharia law, which allows the killing of infidels. Those who scoff at such an absurd notion miss the point. Simply put, this is an extreme example of what's happening on a daily basis in this country.

h/t Zillablog, via Detroit Free Press:
The so-called underwear bomber charged with trying to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner is arguing for his prison release, claiming wrongful imprisonment by the American government.

In a handwritten court document filed today, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 24, asked the court to release him from prison, arguing that "all Muslims should only be ruled by the law of the Quran."

"The defendant is being unjustly detained in the Unites States of American, and subjected to the Rule of Man," wrote Abdulmutallab, adding he should "only be judged and ruled by the law of the Quran."

In a separate, handwritten court filing, the Nigerian national also wrote that "excessive force" was used to restrain him on Wednesday while he was in his closed cell, during the "holy month of Ramadan." He wrote that between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., "in defense of Muhammad," he assaulted several officers from his cell, and that as a result, "excessive force" was used to restrain him.
Instead of the Islamic apologists dismissing this guy's contentions, how about if they start reading Sharia law to see if he has a case? If yes, why are judges across the US striking down the will of the people in states like Oklahoma, who voted to ban Sharia law?

Hamas Congratulates Libyan Rebels... In Arabic

Well, well. It looks like Hamas is one group that is thrilled with the overthrow of Muammar Gadhafi. A poster on Free Republic is reporting that on Al Jazeera's Arabic site, there is a ticker in Arabic that, when translated, expresses congratulations on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood group (Hamas) for the rebels' overthrow of Tripoli. Couple this bit of news with the revelation that the new 'Draft Constitution' includes Sharia Law in the foundation of a new Libyan government and we continue to see that the Obama administration is furthering the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood, a group that wants to destroy the United States from within (per its own internal documents).

The translation of the ticker, via Free Republic:
"Hamas issues statement congratulations rebels on seizing (sic) Tripoli and hopes it ushers in a new era of history for Libya". (paraphrase)
It looks like John McCain and Hamas have something in common. Both view the Libyan rebels as 'heroes.'

Oh, just as a refresher, here's the portion of the 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document relative to objectives in the United States:
The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Proecess" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.
I know I put this video on the last post but I just can't resist doing it again.

Fast forward to 1:40 mark to see what I mean:

John McCain's Libyan 'Heroes' Already turning to Sharia Law

Back in April, Senator John McCain visited Benghazi, Libya and visited with rebel leaders. At his hotel, he was questioned by an Al Jazeera reporter about any concerns he may have had about who was leading the opposition forces. His response was, 'they're my heroes.' Aside from this being a completely boneheaded thing to say, the degree of ignorance displayed by McCain was shocking for someone at his level. Despite there being all kinds of warning signs that rebel forces consisted of al Qaeda fighters who were backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, he seemed clueless.

Unfortunately, with the fall of Gadhafi, McCain, once again, was proven wrong by those of us who know better. The rebel forces have already presented a Draft Constitution and guess what? Sharia Law will be at the new government's foundation.

Via Heritage:
Much of the document describes political institutions that will sound familiar to citizens of Western liberal democracies, including rule of law, freedom of speech and religious practice, and a multi-party electoral system.

But despite the Lockean tenor of much of the constitution, the inescapable clause lies right in Part 1, Article 1: “Islam is the Religion of the State, and the principal source of legislation is Islamic Jurisprudence (Sharia).” Under this constitution, in other words, Islam is law. That makes other phrases such as “there shall be no crime or penalty except by virtue of the law” and “Judges shall be independent, subject to no other authority but law and conscience” a bit more ominous.
Heritage goes on to explain that it is not confirmed whether this document will be the last one standing when a new government is formed but it DOES only further bolster the claims made by those who questioned our support of the rebel forces.

As a senator, McCain is an outright embarrassment to this nation. Fast forward to the 1:40 mark to watch him say the Libyan rebels are his 'heroes.'

Indonesia Mayor: If Street Name is Islamic, Church can't be Built on it

If you've ever heard the term, 'creeping sharia' this is how it works. It is the incremental ratcheting up of Islamic law. Here is a prime example in Indonesia. If you're a Christian who would like to build a church on some land you already possess in the city of Bogor, Indonesia, you'd better check out your street sign first. If the name of the street is Islamic, you are not permitted to build that church. Are there mosques constructed on streets with Christian names? Apparently so.

Via Jakarta Globe:
Bogor’s controversial mayor says he has a new reason not to allow the GKI Yasmin church to open — the name of the street on which it is built has an Islamic name.

Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi said Bogor Mayor Diani Budiarto — who continues to defy rulings from the Supreme Court and Ombudsman Commission to open the church — had told him that a church should not be built on a street with an Islamic name.

“[Diani] said that it is a fact that the street is named after a noted Islamic Ulama,” Gamawan said at the Vice Presidential Palace on Friday.

GKI Yasmin is located on Jalan Abdullah bin Nuh, an Islamic leader from Cianjur in West Java.

Local cleric Muhammad Mustofa, whose father is the street’s namesake, has previously stated that he has no objection to the church.

Mustofa, who said that Islam was a religion that promoted peace, said differences between religions were not new and similar problems had occurred since the time of Prophet Mohammad.

“Mecca is an example of pluralism during the prophet’s time. Every problem has its solution and hopefully the problem [surrounding the church] will be settled immediately,” he said.
Though it's good to hear the son of the street's namesake support the right of the church, it's interesting that he referred to 'pluralism' in Mecca during the time of Mohammad but not in the present day.

The Home Affairs Minister agrees with the mayor and his logic is similar to that of Al Capone:
“This is the political reality in the field and it could cause disturbances to security and peace,” Gamawan said. “It would not be healthy in the long run, even for the congregation members themselves. [Diani] told me that he has offered an alternative location with the same [dimensions].”

Gamawan said he would summon Diani next week to discuss possible solutions to the conflict.

“We need to mediate ... but we also need to maintain security and peace,” Gamawan said.

Church spokesman Bona Sigalingging said Diani’s reasoning was unacceptable given that a number of churches were built on streets with Islamic names and mosques were built on streets with Christian names.

Bona said the church would refuse to accept any offer of alternative premises.

“The problem is it against the law, against the court ruling and against the recommendation of Ombudsman. It also breaches legal certainty.”

Ombudsman Commission chairman Danang Girindrawardana told the Jakarta Globe on Friday that the street name issue was a “made-up excuse.”
Made-up excuse? In Islam, there is a reason for everything. If you can prevent churches from being built on streets with Islamic names, one day you can have existing churches on streets with Islamic names torn down OR you can have a lobbying arm to re-name the streets to reflect an allegiance to Islam.

Creeping sharia...

Video: Chris Christie Adamantly Defends Appointment of Muslim Judge

With the same vigor he displays when going after teachers unions, Chris Christie went after anyone who suggested that his appointment of Sohail Mohammed to a Superior Court judgeship in New Jersey was ill-advised, in much the same way. At a press conference, Christie referred to such opposition as 'ignorance' and concerns about creeping sharia law as 'crap.' This is what happens when the righteous indignation of Governor Christie is directed toward conservatives. At one point, he called people with such concerns 'crazies.'

I'm partial to checking out what Islamic terrorism expert Steve Emerson has to say about Sohail Mohammed before trusting what Christie has to say. First, here is Christie at the press conference, going after anyone who disagrees with his appointment. After the video, Steve Emerson's take on Mohammed.

Via MediaIte:

Now that it's quite obvious where Christie stands, check out this excerpt on Sohail Mohammed from IPT:
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's nomination of Sohail Mohammed to be a state judge shows the governor's tin ear for radical Islam. Not only did he appoint a longtime mouthpiece for radical Islamists to be a judge, but Christie has also turned a blind eye to the activities of one of Mohammed's clients – radical imam Mohammed Qatanani, head of one of New Jersey's largest mosques.

Qatanani has a history of Hamas support and was related by marriage to a leading Hamas operative in the West Bank. This fall, Qatanani will return to a New Jersey immigration court, where the Department of Homeland Security is fighting to have him deported. In his initial application for a green card filed in 1999, government lawyers say Qatanani failed to disclose a conviction in an Israeli military court for being a Hamas member and providing support to the terrorist group.

Oddly, Christie – a Republican who was then the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey – sided with Qatanani against DHS, allowing a top lieutenant, Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles McKenna, to testify as a character witness at Qatanani's first immigration trial, and publicly embracing the imam at a Ramadan breakfast at his mosque. Christie later appointed McKenna as New Jersey's head of homeland security..
IPT goes on to say that Mohammed also defended convicted terrorist fundraiser Sami al-Arian. Emerson's IPT closes with this:
Christie's support for Islamists such as Qatanani and Mohammed betrays either naivete or calculation. Either is troubling.
Based on the press conference, I'm leaning toward naivete. Christie seemed to have a 'thou doth protest too much moment' that included a bit of projection when he described those who didn't agree with him as being ignorant.

Christie may be a good choice for Secretary of Education but he has no business being the Republican nominee.

Keith Ellison to Herman Cain: He is a 'Bigot'

Yet another example that shows ideology trumps race, which makes one wonder why we need to have a racially based caucus like the Congressional Black Caucus at all. The CBC has already come out against one of its members - Rep. Lt. Col. Allen West - for standing up to far left extremist Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Now, another one of its members, Muslim Keith Ellison, is calling Herman Cain a 'bigot.' If Cain was a member of Congress, he too would qualify to be a member of the CBC, which would mean that Ellison would have to either leave the caucus or concede to belonging to a group that allows bigots. See how this works?

Salon conducted an interview with Ellison in which the CBC member referred to Cain as a 'bigot.' Via Salon:
Over the past few months, former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain has carved out a place as the most prominent anti-Muslim figure in the GOP presidential field, and, arguably, the country.

First, earlier this year, he promised he would not hire any Muslims to be in his future cabinet, subsequently repeating various versions of that pledge. Then, on a trip to Tennessee last week, Cain came out against the construction of a mosque project there. On Fox News Sunday, he expanded that stance, endorsing the idea that any American community could bar construction of mosques.

To get a response to Cain's new comments, I spoke to Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., who is one of two Muslim members of Congress and who has emerged in recent years as a loud anti-anti-Muslim voice.

"It seems like a week doesn't go by without Cain saying something incredibly offensive, so I can only guess that he's doing it on purpose," said Ellison. "He's probably figured out that he can get headlines if he says something really ugly, so he doesn't disappoint."

Ellison said he feels moved to address these issues because when people "start whipping up hatred against a certain group over the course of years, bad things happen. History teaches us that if you continue to stir the pot, stir the cauldron, it will not be long before something awful happens."

A partial transcript of our conversation follows.

What's your reaction to Herman Cain's comments on Sunday that communities should be able to ban construction of mosques?

This is ridiculous and has no foundation in American law. In fact, the U.S. Constitution says Congress shall make no law establishing a religion and shall not abridge the exercise thereof. He runs right into the First Amendment. But the larger question is, why is he trying distinguish himself as the religious bigot of the presidential race of 2011 and 2012?
I will say it until I'm blue in the face. Sharia law is not protected by the First Amendment. It is PROHIBITED by Article VI, which says the US Constitution shall be the 'Supreme Law of the land,' something sharia law aspires to be.

Sorry, Keith. The two are not compatible.

Shocking Video: Khilafah Conference in Chicago - Sharia Coming to America

This is amazing video from the Islamic Khilafa Conference in Chicago recently. The event was promoted as 'Revolution in the Muslim World: From Tyranny to Triumph.' At first glance, you might be led to believe that it's about championing the cause of the uprisings in the Middle East but it's much more than that. For example, fast forward to the 5:00 mark and take note of when this speaker - Muhammed Abu Anas - begins talking about western media. He, himself, says that liberal media outlets who say the uprisings are about a desire for liberal, secular democracies are being deceptive. What more proof do you need that the liberal media is nothing but a bunch of useful idiots?

It goes downhill from there. Everything the left claims the Arab Spring is about is shot down by the proponents of that Arab Spring, including Anas. He openly admits that Islam and liberal democracy cannot co-exist. Take note at the 8:00 mark too. Listen to what he has to say about secularism; it is an 'illusion.' At the 9:00 mark, the audience begins shouting 'Allah-hu Akbar,' which continues throughout.

At the 10:45 mark, they shout this chant after Anas declares the desire of the 'Ummah' (Muslim people) is to achieve a global Islamic Government.
