It's not a direct quote but surely the implication here is that the rescued miners applied the principles of Big Government socialism to their survival strategy and had they not done so, they wouldn't have made it. Why? Because they would have killed each other if they thought like those blasted Tea Partiers.

Of course, Matthews finds a willing participant in AFL-CIO head Richard Trumka, who insists people would be helpless without an "efficient government." Hey Rich, show me an efficient government that's big and I'll show you a new discovery.

I must say, I'm mildly surprised that even these two went here. Exploiting the rescue of miners and using it to make the case that Big Government works.
