Islamic Cleric to Speak in front of White House, Calls for Sharia

His name is Anjem Choudary and it Great Britain, he is the most recognizable Islamic cleric. He is planning to come to America and speak in front of the White House. His objective is to one day have the United States submit to Islamic (Shariah) Law. His visit is good news and bad news. It is good because Choudary unmasked himself a long time ago. He makes no bones about Islam's intentions. The bad news is that these are the same intentions of all groups tied to the Muslim Brotherhood (CAIR, ISNA, MSA, etc.). Such groups distance themselves from Choudary not because they disagree with him but because they don't like his letting the cat out of the proverbial bag.

Choudary granted an interview with the Daily Caller and said something very interesting:
TheDC: You’re planning a protest next Thursday, correct?

AC: The 3rd of March is the 87th anniversary of the destruction of the Ottoman Empire. It was the last time that Sharia was implemented in this world and that makes it a perfect time to call for Sharia to be re-implemented. I understand that one can have a static demonstration on Pennsylvania Avenue without any permission, as part of your First Amendment and freedom of religion and to protest. I don’t envision any problems. We’re getting feedback from the Muslim community there in America and even non-Muslims. They’re very interested and I think we should have a good response.
Interestingly, the Muslim Brotherhood was created in 1928 for the sole purpose of reestablishing the Ottoman Empire / Caliphate. This means that the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Muslim Students Association (MSA), and a slew of other Islamic groups that belong to the Muslim Brotherhood necessarily agree with Choudary; they simply don't agree with him being so overt with his rhetoric.

Here is Choudary last year on ABC with Christianne Amanpour talking about one day flying the Islamic flag over the White House:

Video: Sheer Idiocy - Liberal Whack Job Eleanor Clift on Scott Walker

This carries an added dose of audacity in light of every thing Obama, Reid, and Pelosi did relative to forcing legislation like Obamacare down the throats of Americans who didn't want anything to do with it. The subject being debated here is Collective Bargaining. On the right is Pat Buchanan and Monica Crowley. Representing the far, far left is Jonathan Capehart and Whack Job Eleanor Clift. Buchanan explains what's going on with Collective Bargaining and makes reference to the Wisconsin Governor 'representing the people now.'

Clift then says, 'Since when does Scott Walker represent the people?' Fortunately, neither Crowley nor Buchanan lets her get away with it and call her out immediately and in unison - 'He got elected!'

Via NewsBusters

I haven't seen Buchanan laugh that hard since he was talking about Chris Matthews' thrill.

Video: Police Officer Looking the Other Way in Atlanta?

There are multiple examples of Police and Firemen either being outwardly sympathetic to the Union protesters in Wisconsin or actively engaged in protesting with them off-duty (while still donning uniforms and carrying gear). There is now another example in Atlanta of Police looking the other way after an assault took place. The first video is of the actual assault, which happens at the 0:42 mark. Keep in mind that there is a cop very near by.

Here is a first hand account from the man who was pushed. His name is Bill Greene and he says that despite countless witnesses and now video, the police officer not only let the union thug go but prevented Greene and other Tea Party members from confronting him or pressing charges. Greene explains that if he finds out who the thug is, he will press charges. The larger issue here is that there seems to be a significant number of Police officers who are sympathetic to these thugs because they too are often unionized and take taxpayer dollars.

Videos: Marxist Leads MoveOn.Org Rally in Dallas, TX

Here's a MoveOn.org protest in Dallas, TX. First up is video of the guy leading the protest. It's the usual leftwing shouting points about how unions are good and capitalism is bad repeated over and over as if it needs to sink in. Based on what we're seeing in Wisconsin with the police joining the protesters in the Capitol, I'm not sure if this guy's instructing the protesters to wave to the cops across the street is meant to win them over or mock them. Based on Wisconsin, it may just be the former.

RedWhiteBlueNews via Gateway Pundit

Next up, RWBN gets the speaker aside and asks him to explain his ideology. He takes the circuitous route but finally admits to being a Marxist.

Video: Wisconsin Capitol Police Taking Sides and Taking it Personal

This is a very telling video on a couple of fronts. First, central issue involves a War Memorial inside the Capitol. Leftists who have decided to camp out inside the Capitol have decided to use the Memorial as a storage area for their belongings, sleeping bags, etc. The person with the camera has requested police to show up. When they do, the lead officer asks what's going on; when the woman with the camera asks for assistance in clearing away the belongings from the Memorial, he appears confused as to what to do - possibly because many of his fellow officers (possibly him) have taken the side of the protesters.

Note that as soon as the officer realizes he has a bit of a problem with defending the desecration of a War Memorial, he demands not to be recorded. When the woman seeks out other officers, it's the same thing.

I hate to say it but Gov. Walker needs to go Ronald Reagan on these derelict cops and start firing or he's going to have to bring in the Wisconsin National Guard soon.

Videos: Cops and Firemen Siding with Wisconsin Protesters?

It looks like Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker might have an additional issue to deal with and it has to do with the fact that Police and Fire employees are made up of public union employees as well and many of them are actually siding with the protesters inside the Wisconsin Capital Building. This is what we call a conflict of interest and it's another consequence of unionizing the public sector. This is insubordination on the part of these police and fire departments, especially if they're protesting while in uniform.

Green Bay Press Gazette via The Blaze:
MADISON — Hundreds of off-duty police officers and deputies joined protests today against Gov. Scott Walker's budget repair bill that would strip most collective bargaining powers from about 170,000 public employees.

Police, state troopers and firefighters are exempt from Walker's proposal, but even as some marched on the downtown Capitol Square, hundreds of other officers from around the state provided security.

Sheboygan County Sheriff's Cpl. Matt Spence and Deputy Todd Traas stood guard on the Capitol's northwest side directing pedestrians toward entrances to the building.

"We left at 3 a.m. on Thursday and have been (in Madison) ever since," Traas said. Five Sheboygan County deputies were on duty Saturday.

They came equipped with riot gear, including helmets and batons, they said, but didn't expect trouble.

"It's been great," Spence said.
This is disgraceful and Walker needs to take a page out of Ronald Reagan's handbook relative to the Air Traffic Controllers. Granted, these public officials are not striking but they are certainly being insubordinate and are fanning the flames of lawlessness.

Here is video of a Police Officer with a bullhorn inside the Capital Building, who is clearly identifying himself as an officer of the law.

Here is video of Firemen doing the same.

Video: Assault and Battery by Who Else? Union Thug.

This protest took place in Sacramento and the union thug who was arrested is Richard Andazola, who was using a bullhorn to shout at Tea Party activists, calling them 'Fascists.' When confronted with a uncomfortable fact courtesy of a bullhorn from the Tea Party, Andazola decided to get a little up close and personal with the Tea Party after the voice behind the bullhorn directed at him shouted, 'We pay your salary!'

Via Big Government, here is Andazola demonstrating his inability to understand where money comes from.

Here is video of the actual assault of Tea Party activist Rodney Stanhope courtesy of Andazola, who was later cited for battery. At the end of this clip - after Andazola has been busted - you can hear another tea partier with a bullhorn shouting, 'We pay you!'

**UPDATE** Here's new video of the thug. Notice how sheepish he is with the news camera after the incident compared to his aggressive nature during the altercation.

Video: Liberal Protester Foams at the Mouth (Literally)

Here is a cartoon liberal come to life. This guy, while at the MoveOn.org protest in Chicago, literally begins foaming at the mouth while starting off his argument by making a bet with money he doesn't have. After being challenged about actually having the million dollars, he says, 'Oh yeah, I'll get it.' He then goes into some Muhammad Ali-inspired diatribe about being able to fight Republicans. I'll give him this though. He said he's the 'meanest liberal in the land' and I guess if you were to envision such a creature, it would come with face hole froth but this guy's really missing some key attributes that would land him the honor.

Would the meanest liberal in the land have feathers in his hat?

Video: Joe Scarborough Channels Neville Chamberlain

I've been critical of Glenn Beck on many occasions but since the rise of protests in Egypt, he has been reporting the truth far more than anyone else with a significant audience. The truth is that the Muslim Brotherhood poses a grave threat to western civilization; leftwing groups will work alongside alleged Democratic uprisings in the arab world. The arab Muslim world has proven time and again that it will use leftwing agents to acquire power. Google, a far left organization, helped Wael Ghonim spearhead the revolution in Egypt, which has now all but fallen into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Meanwhile, Joe Scarborough over at MSNBC, once again demonstrates that he is unable to process ugly facts. Lines are being drawn again. Not so long ago, it was a line that divided conservatives and liberals. It is now a line that divides those willing to accept a dire reality and those who are not. Unfortunately, there is a significant bloc of supposed conservatives that has chosen the latter camp.

Scarborough is officially one of them.

As early as 1933, Winston Churchill warned of the German threat. After Neville Chamberlain implemented a strategy of appeasement often borne of denial, he was disgraced and Churchill was installed as Prime Minister by King George VI on May 10, 1940 after Chamberlain's resignation. Like Chamberlain, Scarborough either doesn't understand or refuses to admit the stated goals of the Muslim Brotherhood, which ironically allied with Hitler in WWII.

That British moment that will forever live in infamy.

Wikileaks Cables Show Partnership between Iran and Muslim Brotherhood

Why would Iran align with the Muslim Brotherhood? If one accepts the premise that the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is to reestablish the Ottoman Empire, which was centered in what is today Turkey, it's not that far of a leap to see why the Brotherhood and Iran are working together. Turkey and Iran have been working together more closely of late as well - ever since the government in Turkey began its turn toward being more Islamist with the 2002 elections.

Via Brian Fairchild at Pajamas Media:
The Obama administration believes that the Muslim Brotherhood is an acceptable player in forming a new government in Egypt despite the fact that about a dozen very public quotes from the former and current leaders of the Brotherhood, which I provided in a Pajamas Media article last week, reveal the Brotherhood’s Salafi-jihadi worldview and support for Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda.

These quotes are readily available to anyone who wants to take the time to look for them, but the Obama team’s acceptance of the Brotherhood is all the more mystifying due to the fact that the government’s own classified State Department cables document that Iran, our arch-enemy in the region, has been clandestinely supporting it as a proxy in Egypt.
Here is a quote from Omar Soliman, at the time head of Egypt's Intelligence Service, to General Petraeus:
“Egypt suffers from Iranian interference through its Hezbollah and Hamas proxies, and its support for…the Muslim Brotherhood….We hope Iran will stop supporting Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and other cells.”
As has been stated many times on this blog, Hamas IS the Muslim Brotherhood. This sentiment is echoed by Fairchild as well:
It should be noted here that Hamas, listed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the U.S. government, is not an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. It is simply a violent chapter of the organization as proven by Article 2 of its own charter which states:

“The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of the Muslim Brothers in Palestine.”

The Hamas charter and Iran’s use of the Brotherhood in Egypt as a proxy prove that it is a violent organization and that Iran is using it to destabilize Egypt. Given Iran’s operational style, it is only prudent to believe that our Middle Eastern nemesis is also providing clandestine support to Brotherhood chapters in Jordan, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, and elsewhere. Supplied with this information, it is difficult to grasp how President Obama thinks that the Brotherhood’s participation in forming a new Egyptian government is a good idea.
Again, start with Turkey when in 2002, Islamist Recep Tayyip Erdoğan became Prime Minister and Abdullah Gul President. If the Islamist AKP party is sympathetic to the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood and if the relationship between Turkey and Iran has strengthened, why wouldn't the relationship between Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood be stronger as well?

Read it all.

Not to belabor the point but Walid Shoebat has been talking about the Muslim Brotherhood's goals relative to Turkey for years.

Video: Union Protest in New Jersey

There's something both extremely disturbing and extremely telling in this video. For starters, the mindset of the people who are actually teaching our children is so completely ignorant, it's not very difficult to see what brought us to this point. When teachers don't understand where money comes from, how are they supposed to explain it to children? Many of those children grow up to be teachers, which leads us to this video.

Videos: Wisconsin Union Bill Update

Two parts. First, Megyn Kelly interviews Wisconsin Democrat State Senator Jon Erpenbach prior to the state assembly vote that put the collective bargaining bill squarely in the hands of the senate. Repeatedly, Kelly asks Erpenbach how he's doing his job by not doing his job. She even goes so far as saying he's 'cowering' in Illinois. Erpenbach, while using some form of twisted logic, insists he is doing his job.

Via Fox News, h/t Jawa

Then later, after the state assembly passed the bill, Greta interviewed the State Senate Majority leader in Wisconsin, Scott Fitzgerald who basically lays it out like this. Either at least one of the 14 Democrats returns to Wisconsin so this bill can pass or their will be lay-offs. As an added twist, Fitzgerald's wife is a counselor in one of the school districts and appears to have received a notice. Fitzgerald says he hopes his wife isn't being targeted but that could be an interesting side story.

Ruh Roh: Inspector General says Climategate Needs More Investigation

There is actually more to this story than just the findings of the Inspector General, whose report clearly stated that the emails from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) 'warant further investigation.' However, that's not the way the liberal media is reporting the story. Since no wrongdoing was conclusively determined, the narrative coming from the mainstream media is that NOAA is off the hook after the investigation. Not so fast, Libs.

The investigation was spearheaded by Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe (R), who released this report in response to the IG's findings. Here are some highlights via Watts Up With That:
Highlights from the IG Report

Emails ‘Warrant Further Investigation’

“We found eight emails which, in our judgment, warranted further examination to clarify any possible issues involving the scientific integrity of particular NOAA scientists or NOAA’s data. As a result, we conducted interviews with the relevant NOAA scientists regarding these eight emails, and have summarized their responses and explanations in the enclosure.”

Potential Breach of NOAA Contracting

“In addition to the foregoing, we also found two other emails that raised questions, one regarding a 2002 contract NOAA awarded to the CRU…”

“This email, dated June 24, 2003, captioned ‘NOAA Funding,’ was sent by a visiting fellow at CRU, a NOAA contractor, to another researcher (affiliated with a research institution in Vietnam) stating the following:

‘NOAA want[s] to give us more money for the El Nino work with IGCN [Indochina Global Change Network). How much do we have left from the last budget? I reckon most has been spent but we need to show some left to cover the costs of the trip [name omitted] didn’t make and also thec fees/equipment/computer money we haven’t spent otherwise NOAA will be suspicious.’

“Auditing NOAA’s contracting with CRU was not within the scope of our inquiry, but in light of these circumstances it is important for NOAA to be assured that CRU fully complied with the applicable U.S. contracting rules and requirements. Moreover, NOAA could not tell us the universe of climate-related contracts it has issued over the past ten years to parties and institutions such as CRU.” [Emphasis added]
Clearly, there are some unanswered questions and this is not over. The IG's report also calls into question NOAA's handling of FOIA requests. Yet, HERE is how the liberal media reported the IG's findings:
A Commerce Department inspector general investigation into the “Climategate” controversy finds that government scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration did not manipulate climate change data.

It’s the latest investigation to clear scientists of manipulating climate data after thousands of e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit were leaked in 2009.
While the Hill did provide a link to the entire report, you'd think after reading their post that the issue is dead and buried, which is patently misleading.

Read WUWT's post.

Video: Unhinged Union Member Explains His Side

This video featuring an upstanding union member at anti-Scott Walker rally in Annapolis, MD is quintessential union logic. In a nutshell, without unions, the United States would be like a third world country. 'If it wasn't for unions, we would be poor right now!' 'The whole country was based on unions!' He then goes on to say how uneducated the Tea Party is. While we're talking about education, somebody needs to explain to this guy where money comes from.

Wouldn't ya love to sit down and have a beer with this guy?

Honolulu Passes Resolution Urging Limbaugh to Apologize

Just when you thought this was old news, the Honolulu City Council brings it back into the proverbial fold. Rush Limbaugh mocked Chinese president Hu Jintao during the Chinese president's visit to the United States last month. The story had legs for about ten days then died - or so we thought. Thanks to these hypersensitive, politically correct, and anti-American whack jobs, Limbaugh's hilarious interpretation of Hu Jintao is making news again.

Via the AP:
HONOLULU (AP) -- The Honolulu City Council has approved a resolution urging radio show host Rush Limbaugh to apologize for comments on China's president.

The Star Advertiser reports that the City Council voted 8-1 Wednesday asking the talk show host to apologize for what it termed "offensive and derogatory remarks" made about Chinese President Hu Jintao on his Jan. 19 radio program.

Limbaugh claimed there was no translation of the Chinese president's speech during a visit to the White House, then launched into an imitation of the Chinese leader's dialect.
Conspicuously absent from the Honolulu City Council is a resolution demanding an apology from either Obama or Hu Jintao for allowing an anti-American song to be played in the White House during the state dinner for the Chinese leader.

Here's Limbaugh's translation set to music..

Video: Union Official Busted Using Taxpayer Money to fund Political Rally

Purely awesome. This is video shot by blogger Adam Sharp outside the office of Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill (D) where a political rally was taking place to show support for the protesting union employees in Wisconsin and other states. Sharp confronts Steve Hollis - the Union official who organized this rally - with an email that clearly demonstrates questionable and perhaps illegal acts on the part of Hollis. Once again, bloggers are doing the job the mainstream media has long refused to do.

You know it's real journalism when the person being asked the questions wants to get out of Dodge as quickly as possible.

The Ties that Bind Barack Obama to Moammar Gadhafi

When the Iranian people rose up against the Mullahs in 2009 and 2010, Barack Obama was virtually silent because he didn't want to 'meddle.' When Egypt's Hosni Mubarak was faced with a revolution backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama actively and publicly supported the uprising. In Libya, he's taking a stance similar to the one he took in Iran. His silence seems to indicate that he supports Gadhafi staying in power.

Why?

Perhaps it has to do with Gadhafi's support of both Louis Farrakhan's version of Islam and Jeremiah Wright's version of Black Liberation Theology.

Via Aaron Klein at WND:
JERUSALEM – As pressure mounts on the White House to intervene to stop Moammar Gadhafi's bloody crackdown in Libya, many commentators have been wondering why Barack Obama has been cautious in his criticism of the dictator after the U.S. president so fervently supported the removal from office of U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.

But Gadhafi has been tied to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser for more than 23 years.

The Libyan dictator also has financed and strongly supported the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan. Obama has ties to Farrakhan and his controversial group.
Just how has Gadhafi demonstrated this support?
Farrakhan, a close friend and associate of Wright, has been financed by Gadhafi, including with a $5 million interest-free loan in 1985.

Later that year, Gadhafi spoke by satellite to Farrakhan's Saviour's Day Convention in Chicago, and reportedly told Farrakhan supporters he was prepared to provide weapons to a black army in the U.S. to destroy "white America."

In October 1995, Gadhafi reportedly called Farrakhan with congratulations on the success of the Million Man March. Gadhafi was said to have assured Farrakhan that together "we will unite our capabilities and efforts to achieve this."
Read it all.

In a completely separate, but related article from last year, another piece of the puzzle emerges in light of recent events. Remember the release of the Lockerbie bomber, Abdel Baset al-Megrahi?
A week before al-Megrahi's release, Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the U.S. embassy in London, sent a letter to Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond and justice officials saying the U.S. would prefer if the terrorist remained in prison, but protested only a prison transfer not a release.

"Nevertheless," wrote LeBaron, "if Scottish authorities come to the conclusion that al-Megrahi must be released from Scottish custody, the U.S. position is that conditional release on compassionate grounds would be a far preferable alternative to prisoner transfer, which we strongly oppose."

It now appears the release of al-Megrahi was part of a deal brokered by BP for a lucrative oil contract with Libya.
al-Megrahi's release was orchestrated in the weeks after the Deep Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

There are plenty of dots that can be connected which would lead one to conclude that Obama conceivably supports Gadhafi.

Read it all.

Via HapBlog, here's video of Larry King interviewing Gadhafi in 2009 in which the Libyan dictator said he wanted Obama to be President of the United States 'forever.'

Honor Killings Being Covered Up in Dearborn, MI?

This all started in 2010, when four members of a Christian group in Dearborn, MI were arrested for attempting to convert young Muslims to Christianity at the International Arab Festival. The men caught the attention of eight police officers within seconds and spent the night in jail after being led away in handcuffs. Those men have since filed a lawsuit against the City of Dearborn, its Mayor, its Police Chief, and multiple police officers.

There is a much bigger update to the story, however. Apparently, some of the police officers are sympathetic to the plaintiffs and have a problem with what's going on in their Department. Officers wishing to remain unidentified have alleged that Islamic 'honor killings' have taken place in the city and have been covered up. If this can be proven, Mayor John. B. O'Reilly and Police Chief Ronald Haddad will have a much larger problem on their hands.

Via WND:
Officials in the offices of both O'Reilly and Haddad said they were unable to respond to questions about the case, which seeks a court order halting the city's practices regarding speech and distribution of literature on public property at the city's Arab Fest during the summers.

It also seeks compensatory and punitive damages from the defendants.

The allegation about the honor killings that have been "overlooked" in Dearborn comes on Page 61 of the 96-page complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan today.

Describing the circumstances under which police officers arrested the Christians and ordered them to spend a night in jail rather than view readily available exculpatory evidence that ultimately cleared them of the charges, the complaint notes that during the booking of the Christians at the city jail, "a sympathetic city police officer told plaintiffs Qureshi and Rezkalla that some of the police officers were 'on their side,' 'agreed with what they were doing' and 'didn't think they did anything wrong,' or words to that effect."

The comments simply were "demonstrating further that defendants retaliated against plaintiffs for their religious speech activity," the complaint explains.

"The sympathetic police officer told plaintiffs that the security personnel hired for the Arab Festival were mostly 'criminals and gang members,'" the complaint explained. Then it continued:

"The sympathetic police officer told plaintiffs that there were instances in the city where 'honor killings' permitted by Shariah had taken place, but they were covered up," the complaint alleges.
Once again, Edmund Burke's credo that 'Evil can only succeed when good men do nothing' is proven correct. If there are good police officers who are aware that their superiors have either condoned or are complicit in 'honor killings' and don't speak up, the behavior will continue. If they do speak up - as what appears to be the case here - this could become a much bigger story.

Here is the video of the arrests on June 18, 2010

Video: AFL-CIO Head Boasts of Multiple Visits to White House

This is a very informative montage that juxtaposes video of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka boasting about visiting the White House 'two or three' times a week and talking with someone from the White House 'every day.' Following that is a short interview between Andrea Mitchell and a reporter who admits speaking to an Obama cabinet member who says that about 'half a dozen' of Obama's cabinet had not ever been contacted by the president in the two years since he'd been inaugurated.

Yet, Trumka, who is not part of the Administration visits the White House 'two to three' times a week?!

Organizing For America Now Recruiting for Summer Program

In the wake of the disgrace that is the behavior of Organizing For America (OFA) relative to the Wisconsin protests, the Obama Administration again lied by saying it had nothing to do with organizing the protesters. This, despite overwhelming evidence in the form of OFA blog posts, facebook posts, and tweets proving just the opposite. Instead of backing down however, OFA (Obama) has decided to continue following Uncle Saul's rulebook, which says to 'keep the pressure on.'

My inbox this morning contained an email from Jeremy Bird of OFA with a subject line that said, 'Know Any Good Organizers?' It appears that OFA is looking to grow its 'civilian national security force' this summer by enticing young students to sign up for the program and get college credit for doing so. Here's the email I received; the two images are screen shots from the page the links within the email took me.
Ben --

This summer, Organizing for America will train a new team of summer organizers. The Summer Organizing Fellowship is a grassroots program that aims to put boots on the ground and help foster a new generation of leaders -- not just to help win elections, but to strengthen our democracy in communities across the country.

We're reminded nearly every day of the power of organizing -- of people standing up and speaking out in their communities. And that kind of effective organizing doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes commitment, time, and hard work to build a movement around a cause.

That's exactly what our team of summer organizers will do.

They will be trained in the basic principles that have always built and powered effective grassroots movements, and will be assigned to a specific community where they'll work to organize supporters street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood. They'll recruit volunteers, run events, knock on doors, and do what it takes to support the President's agenda. And, in the end, their work will take our grassroots power to an impressive new level.

Apply now to be a summer organizer, or pass this email along to anyone else you know who might be interested.

Folks who trained in programs like this one have gained important skills that have since helped them in careers with OFA and beyond. And they had a good time doing it.

Becca Siegel, a student at Stanford University, spent the past two summers organizing in Colorado -- and she loved it. "Working as a summer organizer certainly taught me a diverse set of skills in a fast-paced environment. Each day brought new opportunities and challenges: a meeting with a local activist followed by voter registration at an outdoor concert, or a conference call with other organizers from around the country followed by volunteering at a community health clinic."

When she graduates from college later this year, Becca will take the skills she learned at OFA to a new job in South Africa.

You don't have to be a student, like Becca, or a recent graduate to be a summer organizer. Nikki Giancola, now a regional field director for OFA Illinois, was a middle school teacher for four years before becoming a summer organizer. "I will never forget the day the Affordable Care Act passed," she says. "It was a feeling like no other -- I had played a part in helping millions of people, and the summer organizer program gave me the chance to do so."

Summer organizer Paras Patel had a similarly unforgettable experience -- meeting President Obama at an event in Detroit. "He shook my hand and told me that he was proud of me and appreciated the work I was doing. I didn't know what to expect when I started at OFA, but meeting the President was definitely a surprise and something I will never forget!"

Successful movements have always been built and grown by ordinary people who take responsibility for organizing their fellow citizens to make their voices heard. We're looking for folks who are ready to work hard to support the President's agenda and lay new groundwork to carry this movement forward for years to come.

Click here to apply for the OFA summer organizers program or pass it on to a friend -- no experience is needed to apply:

Again, this is gall on display. OFA has been directly linked to the Wisconsin protests which saw, among other things, fraud in action when Doctors were handing out fake sick notes to teachers who wanted to get paid for protesting instead of working. Instead of even feigning shame or laying low for a while, Obama and company have decided to stay on offense after LYING about it's involvement in the first place. It's vintage Saul Alinsky.

I think it's safe to say we're learning what Obama meant when he said this on the campaign trail:

Video: Chris 'Leg Tingles' Matthews Smacked Down By Wisconsin State Senator

During an interview with Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman (R), Matthews attempts to paint the Senator as a hypocrite right off the bat with a false premise. Grothman's response is priceless: 'Once again, you're completely uninformed.' He then proceeds to completely dismantle that premise, which was that the Republicans are exempting police and fire departments because those unions supported Republican governor Scott Walker. After Gtothman informs Tingles that the vast majority of police and fire unions supported Walker's Democrat opponent, Matthews attempts to re-phrase his question and fails miserably.

Once again, the left accuses its opponents of what they themselves are guilty of. It is the Democrat establishment that is unabashedly beholden to the unions, including Obama's own group 'Organizing for America' (OFA).

Obama Lies About His Involvement in Wisconsin Protests

This is unbelievably ridiculous but it's happening anyway. The Obama Administration is actually denying involvement in the protests that have been taking place in Wisconsin despite Organizing For America (OFA), a Barack Obama entity, having fingerprints all over the protests. Blog posts, tweets, and emails all show that OFA has been coordinating protesters far and wide. Yet, Obama is apparently claiming he had nothing to do with it.

Via New York Times:
Over the weekend, the White House and Democratic Party officials pushed back against criticism from Republicans that Mr. Obama and his political network were meddling in the Wisconsin dispute.

Administration officials said Sunday that the White House had done nothing to encourage the demonstrations in Wisconsin — nor was it doing so in Ohio, Florida and other states where new Republican governors are trying to make deep cuts to balance their budgets.

And, officials and union leaders said, reports of the involvement of the Democratic National Committee — specifically Organizing for America, the grass-roots network born of Mr. Obama’s 2008 campaign — were overblown to start with and were being inflated by Republicans sensing political advantage.

“This is a Wisconsin story, not a Washington one,” said Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director. “False claims of White House involvement are attempts to distract from the organic grass-roots opposition that is happening in Wisconsin.”
First off, there is a difference between flat-out denial and claims that the charges were 'overblown.' If the White House wants to communicate that it had nothing to do with organizing these protests, why not say that? Instead, they said such reports are 'overblown.' That would seem to indicate some level of involvement. Second, while Team Obama is claiming it had nothing to do with the protests while saying such charges are 'overblown,' conspicuously absent is a list of things it attempted to do to stop them.

Video: Allen West Slams CAIR Executive Director at Town Hall

If Lt. Col. Allen West keeps this up, he's going to wake up and find himself in the White House one day. At a Town Hall, CAIR Executive Director Nezar Hamze attempted to confront West and failed miserably. The entire video is chock full of classic quotes but the one at the very end is what every politician who cares about this country should take note of because the Muslim groups attempt to use it all the time. Hamze plays the victim and accuses West of attacking Islam. In response, West informs the CAIR Director that he was on the battle field and defended the freedoms of Muslims and then tells him to 'go home.'

West is a true leader. Period.

Obama Says Planned Parenthood Sting Videos 'Manufactured'

The real Barack Obama continues to stand up. In the latest example, he told an interviewer that the Planned Parenthood videos which clearly showed the abortion rights entity advocates and endorses felonious behavior were 'manufactured.' Remember, that the videos showed Planned Parenthood employees advising a pimp and prostitute how to help an underage girl to have an abortion.

Via the Local NBC Richmond affiliate:
Earlier this week NBC12 asked President Barack Obama if the video warranted a review of Planned Parenthood's funding. Funding which is now in danger.

It started at a clinic in Richmond, and ended on the floor of House. In an unprecedented vote, lawmakers passed a continuing resolution to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Pro-life politicians have often gone after the abortion provider, while pro-choice politicians like President Obama have rushed to its defense. In our exclusive interview, the President deflected the impact of the video sting.

"I think sometimes these issues get manufactured," he said "they get a lot of attention in the blogosphere."
Here is the interview. Fast forward to the 2:15 mark for the relevant portion via Fox Nation:

Now, just as a refresher, here's what happened in those Planned Parenthood clinics:

As Democrats Slam Republicans for Shutting down Fed Government, Dems Shut Down Wisconsin Govt

Truly classic. With fourteen Wisconsin Democrat state senators still out of the state in order to avoid voting on a piece of legislation, Democratic Senators in the Federal government are slamming the Republican House for threatening to shut down the government if they don't get their spending cuts. It's widely accepted that hypocrisy is inherent in the Democratic psyche but this is one big fat hypocritical hairball as they don't even have the ability to use the 'that was then, this is now' spin. It's happening simultaneously.

Via Mark Hemingway of the Weekly Standard:
The obvious point here is that if it's so "reckless" to shutdown the government, why have Wisconsin legislators, the President and the DNC all supported the government shutdown in Wisconsin? Not only that, they have shutdown the government by fleeing the state and breaking the law, not to mention the illegal union strikes shutting down schools and national Democrats helping to organize the angry mob descending on Madison.
Hemingway is referencing a Reuters article that reports the following:
Democratic Senator Charles Schumer criticized House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell over talk among some Republicans that they would rather shut down the government than relent on their spending cut demands.

"Unfortunately Speaker Boehner seems to be on a course that would inevitably lead to a shutdown ... That's reckless," Schumer said on CNN's "State of the Union" program.

"We have said shutdown is off the table ... Boehner, Mitch McConnell, other Republican leaders have not taken it off the table when asked, and there are lots of people on the hard right clamoring for a shutdown."
There has got to be a point at which these hypocrites hit the proverbial brick wall and just surrender. They're not there yet but they're getting ever closer.

Even FDR Opposed Public Sector Unions

Don't look now but these public sector unions - along with Obama - would not have won the support of one of Obama's ideological presidential mentors - Franklin Delano Roosevelt. FDR had no problem with private sector unions doing whatever they thought was necessary to get what they wanted but when it came to the public sector, FDR had proverbial skin in the game. Consequently, he was outwardly and vehemently opposed to exactly what's going on in Wisconsin right now.

Via RCP:
"The process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service," Roosevelt wrote in 1937 to the National Federation of Federal Employees. Yes, public workers may demand fair treatment, wrote Roosevelt. But, he wrote, "I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place" in the public sector. "A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government."

And if you're the kind of guy who capitalizes "government," woe betide such obstructionists.

Roosevelt wasn't alone. It was orthodoxy among Democrats through the '50s that unions didn't belong in government work. Things began changing when, in 1959, Wisconsin's then-Gov. Gaylord Nelson signed collective bargaining into law for state workers. Other states followed, and gradually, municipal workers and teachers were unionized, too.

Even as that happened, the future was visible. Frank Zeidler, Milwaukee's mayor in the 1950s and the last card-carrying Socialist to head a major U.S. city, supported labor. But in 1969, the progressive icon wrote that rise of unions in government work put a competing power in charge of public business next to elected officials. Government unions "can mean considerable loss of control over the budget, and hence over tax rates," he warned.
One thing is different today. Shutting down government is actually the better of two options when that might not have been the case in the 1950's.

Russian Tourists Killed at Ski Resort by Islamists

This is the same region that was in the news some three years ago when Russia invaded Georgia to its south. The area is home to the Caucasus Mountain range, which recently became home to several ski resorts. This mountain range is also home to important strategic and historic significance. It could be a target of Islamists for both reasons. It's also a region not far from Turkey, which is just a bit to the southwest. Yet another example of victims who thought that acquiescence might save their lives but were wrong.

Via the Telegraph:
"Two people in masks armed with automatic guns in a foreign-made car forced the minibus onto the hard shoulder, asked about passengers, then opened fire on the vehicle and fled from the scene," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

All six people in the vehicle were from the Moscow region. Three died on the spot and two were taken to hospital, it said.

A message on Islamist website Islamdin.com, hosted by the militant group Caucasus Emirate, said the tourists were killed by "mujahideens" because they "came into the zone of war".
On November 28, 1941 Adolf Hitler met with Islam's Grand Mufti of Jerusalem - Hajj Amin al-Husseini - to discuss the terms of their alliance. The minutes from that meeting can be read HERE.

In that meeting, Hitler pledged to Husseini that Germany would publicly align with the Arab Muslim world once it conquered Russia and opened the Caucasus mountain range to the south. That never happened because of weather and Russian resistance.

Here is the relevant portions of those minutes:
Germany was now engaged in very severe battles to force the gateway to the northern Caucasus region. The difficulties were mainly with regard to maintaining the supply, which was most difficult as a result of the destruction of railroads and highways as well as the oncoming winter. If at such a moment, the Fuhrer were to raise the problem of Syria in a declaration, those elements in France which were under de Gaulle's influence would receive new strength. They would interpret the Fuhrer's declaration as an intention to break up France's colonial empire and appeal to their fellow countrymen that they should rather make common cause with the English to try to save what still could be saved. A German declaration regarding Syria would in France be understood to refer to the French colonies in general, and that would at the present time create new troubles in western Europe, which means that a portion of the German armed forces would be immobilized in the west and no longer be available for the campaign in the east.
Then, a little bit later, this:
The moment that Germany's tank divisions and air squadrons had made their appearance south of the Caucasus, the public appeal requested by the Grand Mufti could go out to the Arab world.
Make no mistake, the Islamists are terrorizing the Caucasus mountain range for a reason.

Read the meeting minutes.

Video: Doctor Caught Lying at Protest

This is an interesting angle on the fake doctors notes at the Wisconsin protests. This person has the camera rolling while pretending to be a teacher who missed work. As the doctor is filling out the note, the man recording expresses trepidation about the whole thing. The doctor assures him there is nothing to worry about because his employer cannot question the validity of the note. After all, he's a doctor and it doesn't matter if he's committing fraud.

Also, at the 1:45 mark, a lady with about two reams of new blank forms shows up and makes the Doctor's day because he was beginning to run low.

"Oh, Cool."

Video: Doctors Writing Fake Sick Notes at Wisconsin Protests

Think about it. All week, public sector union workers have not been going to work in order to protest at the state capitol. They called in sick to do it. Then, on Saturday, when the people who actually pay their salaries - private sector workers - finally have a day off, they show up to counter-protest and find fraudulent doctors voluntarily signing fake sick notes for anyone who needs them. If sick, these workers get paid. If it's an unexcused absence, no pay.

Doctors should lose licenses and these workers should not be paid. Line of the video has got to be the rationalization of those getting the notes. Yes, their sick. They're sick of Governor Scott Walker.

Video Shocker: Bill Maher Slams Muslim Men for Treatment of Women

Some things simply amaze and this segment on Bill Maher's Real Time is one of those things. Bill Maher has successfully branded himself as an unhinged, blasphemous, and vile liberal. That's what makes this exchange with his panel - Tavis Smiley in particular - so unexpected. Maher's point here is that the Muslim / Arab men mistreat their women so much more than do their western counterparts. Smiley's point is that women are mistreated in both places and as a result, the Muslim world shouldn't take an unnecessary hit. It's almost like reverse moral relativism.

The possible explanation for Maher's seemingly conservative position in this case is that his contempt for religion is universal while liberals typically only have contempt for Judaism and Christianity.

The highlight comes at the 5:35 mark when a member of the far left audience gets in on the act and shouts incoherently at Maher about drone attacks being on par with mistreatment of women. Maher rightfully points out it's an apples and oranges argument.

Maher said at least one thing that was absolutely false, however and it comes at the end: "When you tolerate intolerance, you're not really being a liberal." It silenced Smiley though.

Videos: 'Fox Lies' Guy and Unhinged Wisconsin Leftist

If you've ever had the pleasure of watching the encapsulation of the liberal mentality in a one minute segment, you won't appreciate this video as much as others but it will crack your top 10. While at the Wisconsin state capitol, Fox Business reporter Jeff Flock was on hand to convey the sentiment of the protesters. At some point, he realized he would have to address the man to his right who could not stop yelling the highly intelligent phrase, 'Fox Lies' multiple times.

It became so imposing that Flock gave the 'Fox lies' guy an opportunity to make his case with more words. Instead of doing so, 'Fox Lies' guy just echoed his own sentiment.

Classic liberal mind on display.

Bonus video....

Here's a teacher who is making the assertion that if the demands of the teachers - who lied to and exploited their students - are not met, the 'children will not have a weekend.'

Video: Katie Couric's Wish is Granted - Muslim Quos'by Show

Back in December, the world's problems were solved by Katie Couric when she suggested that a Muslim version of the Cosby Show would help to ease tensions between east and west. Thanks to Jon Stewart, Katie's wish is the left's command. Interestingly, Feisal Abdul Rauf even volunteered to do an interview for this segment and whole heartedly endorsed Couric's idea; that should raise plenty of red flags for Katie - that is, if her IQ was at an acceptable level.

It wasn't and whether she knows it or not, Katie was the butt of this entire segment.

Obama is Behind Wisconsin Protests

There really is no other way to look at this. The Organizing For America arm of the Democratic National Committee is the spawn of Obama; it is something he created. He can alter its direction with a phone call. OFA is responsible for the protests taking place in Wisconsin at the state capitol there. The governor of Wisconsin is doing what the people of his state elected him to do - cut the funding of public sector unions and OFA doesn't like it. In another clear example of the left not understanding where money comes from, these unions are demanding what is no longer available - money.

The larger story here is that the president is behind these protests.

Via POLITICO:
The Democratic National Committee's Organizing for America arm -- the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign -- is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.

OfA, as the campaign group is known, has been criticized at times for staying out of local issues like same-sex marraige, but it's riding to the aide of the public sector unions who hoping to persuade some Republican legislators to oppose Walker's plan. And while Obama may have his difference with teachers unions, OfA's engagement with the fight -- and Obama's own clear stance against Walker -- mean that he's remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies at what is, for them, a very dangerous moment.

OfA Wisconsin's field efforts include filling buses and building turnout for the rallies this week in Madison, organizing 15 rapid response phone banks urging supporters to call their state legislators, and working on planning and producing rallies, a Democratic Party official in Washington said.
If further proof is needed that Obama is in fact supporting these protests, look at his own words via the Washington Post:
"Some of what I've heard coming out of Wisconsin, where you're just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain generally seems like more of an assault on unions. And I think it's very important for us to understand that public employees, they're our neighbors, they're our friends. These are folks who are teachers and they're firefighters and they're social workers and they're police officers.

"They make a lot of sacrifices and make a big contribution. And I think it's important not to vilify them or to suggest that somehow all these budget problems are due to public employees."
The president's public stance is that unions are being 'assault(ed).' It is quintessential Alinsky: 'Rub raw the sores of discontent.' Instead of chastising a group he created (OFA), he is overtly egging them on by appealing to one of the lowest common denominators of human nature. He is telling them they are victims when in reality, they've been living off the backs of others for decades.

If the president wanted to, he could easily instruct OFA to back off. He's not. In light of his office, he's complicit in his silence. Then again, he's not all that silent; he's encouraging them with his own words.

He also seems content with teachers lying by collectively calling off sick as well as the latter's exploitation of students for their cause.

Exploitation of high school students for a political agenda is simply disgraceful and it demonstrates another Alinsky precept: 'The ends justify the means.'

Wisconsin Democrats Flee State to Avoid Vote

There are several angles to this story but at its root is Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) and his attempt to follow Chris Christie's lead in New Jersey as well as the Tea Party mandate that got him elected. The state is broke. Period. There is bill that has the votes necessary to pass; it would take away collective bargaining from the Teachers Unions. The only thing they could negotiate is salary, not pensions or benefits.

This has caused teachers to call in sick and march on the Capitol in Madison. They have also brought their students with them in a clear attempt to exploit children. Obama's Organizing for America (OFA) is also behind the protests.

In addition to that, Democrat lawmakers have fled the state to avoid bringing the bill to a vote. Their first stop was a hotel in Rockford, IL but since being discovered there, they have fled elsewhere. Here is a news report from WTMJ.

These kind of antics are not unprecedented in state politics and they always seem to be used by Democrats exclusively. In 2003, Texas Democrats fled to Oklahoma.

Here's the story from CNN via the Blaze.

Disturbing Photo Involving NYU Fellow Who Resigned over Comments about CBS Reporter

In the wake of the terrible news that CBS reporter Lara Logan had been raped after being surrounded by hundreds of Egyptian protesters, Nir Rosen made some extremely insensitive tweets about it. In addition to being a fellow with New York University (NYU), Rosen has also written for the Washington Post. His tweets were so bad that his resignation from NYU was almost immediate. Now there is another aspect to this story that leads to more questions.

On Rosen's facebook page is a picture of his young son donning a t-shirt with a Hezbollah logo on it.

Via the Daily Caller:
It’s been a rough patch for Nir Rosen after some ill-advised remarks posted on Twitter got him in trouble earlier this week pertaining to his response to the news that CBS correspondent Lara Logan had been sexually assaulted and beaten while she was reporting on Egypt’s unrest...

...apparently his social media indiscretions aren’t relegated to just Twitter. An image added to his Facebook page dated Dec. 29, 2009 in the “profile photos” section of his profile, shows a little boy who is apparently his son wearing a yellow T-shirt with the Hezbollah logo.

Hezbollah has been on the U.S. State Department’s list of terrorist organizations since the 1980s.
So what is Rosen's relationship with Hezbollah? Is there one? If there is one, how did he become a fellow at NYU? For those who scoff at the notion that the left and Islam are natural allies, here is yet another in a long line of examples. Those who scoff should do so while looking in the mirror.

Video: Teachers Union Mouthpiece gets Smacked Down

This is an awesome exchange between Fox's Stuart Varney and Robert Craig, executive director for Citizen Action of Wisconsin. Craig defends teachers in that state who effectively called off sick en masse to protest the budget of Governor Scott Walker who, like Chris Christie in New Jersey, is making the hard decisions voters elected him to make. What's most fascinating is the incoherence of Craig's arguments.

Varney nails him right out of the gate by pointing to the fact that the teachers are setting a horrendous example to students by lying about being sick. Craig denies that's what happened despite the facts. Remember, in a socialist's mind, the ends justify the means and that's exactly the type of thinking Varney exposes here.

The line of the exchange comes from Varney after Craig denies facts played out in a video clip of students protesting but admitting to having no clue about why.

"Good God, man."

Another Reason to De-Fund PBS: Che Guevara

Yet another reason to defund all public broadcasting can be found in the efforts of Agustin Blazquez. He is a Cuban exile who has been trying to get the truth out about men like Che Guevara. Guevara's image is everywhere. He's held up as a revolutionary hero. Lies about who he really was are repeated over and over again. In truth, Guevara was a racist and a cold-blooded killer of innocent people. Blazquez made a documentary about Guevara on a shoe-string budget and did most of the work himself. However, he did so only after trying to get the help of PBS.

Via Pajamas Media:
He learned that grants and prizes for documentaries in his series “Covering Cuba” would not be forthcoming. The latest, and seventh, titled Che: The Other Side of an Icon, was produced on a budget of $14,000. Only about $4,000 of that was from a non-profit that he had started himself. He had submitted a more typical budget of $494,000 to CPB-PBS (Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Public Broadcasting System). Blazquez had no success with the publicly supported organization, nor did he with the taxpayer-supported American Film Institute in his other projects. In fact, he could not even get an airing on POV (Point of View), the program created by PBS specifically for the purpose of airing “controversial” films.

Still, Blazquez, by changing his approach and scaling back, and doing his own editing on his own equipment, has managed to produce a compelling film that demolishes the radical heartthrob’s reputation as a brave guerrilla fighting on behalf of the oppressed.
When one contrasts that reality with the success of another film that glorified Guevara, it becomes painfully obvious that propaganda and a denial of truth is in more demand.
Nevertheless, the narrative put out in a press release by the AFI for the 2008 film by Steven Soderbergh simply titled Che, describes Che “galvanizing poor peasants into a military force that can take on trained professionals.” The same AFI turned down Blazquez’s third film on Elian Gonzalez, the young Cuban refugee who was forcibly sent back to Cuba under President Clinton after his mother had drowned during their escape.

Contrary to AFI’s depiction, Che’s delight was in shooting 240 defenseless victims, some as young as 15. Political prisoners say the real number is much higher. Che also delighted in having people and their children rounded up off the street and forced to watch executions.
Meanwhile, Democrats are bemoaning Republican attempts to defund Public Broadcasting and they're using puppets as props in doing so. If the Republicans were smart, they'd point to things like this. One man tries to use public dollars to tell the truth about a racist, cold-blooded killer and is repeatedly denied. Yet, another film that portrays Guevara as a man of the people who fought against oppression is successful.

Issa's First Subpoena Issued

As new chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Darrell Issa (R-CA) has a virtual buffet of things to choose from but it looks like the first official thing on his plate is a subpoena for documents relating to the Countrywide scandal made infamous in large part by former Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd (CT). Assuming Issa gets the documents he's subpoenaed - based on the success of Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) in getting documents he ordered from the Dept. of Justice, they won't just be handed over - there will be a lot of slugs under the rock.

Via Daily Caller:
Top GOP oversight official Darrell Issa is issuing his first subpoena as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to demand documents related to a “VIP” program that gave key lawmakers special deals on mortgages.

The subpoena will reveal for the first time the scope of the company’s VIP program and could ensnare scores of lawmakers, congressional staffers, officials and lobbyists. Sen. Kent Conrad and former-Sen. Chris Dodd received special deals, as did dozens of top Fannie Mae executives.

An Issa report on the sweetheart deals says, “legislators, congressional staffers, lobbyists and other opinion leaders…business partners, local politicians, home builders, entertainers and law enforcement officials” were part of the program. Until now, the public has learned the names of only a few.
If Issa is able to sink his teeth into this scandal, perhaps we will be able to publicly identify all of the players that had a role in the mortgage crisis that contributed mightily to wrecking out economy.

Democrats Use Life-Sized Puppets to Attack Republicans

After Juan Williams was fired by NPR, Republicans attempted to defund the liberal outfit. Now that they have the majority, they're going after the entire Public Broadcasting establishment. The Democrats' strategy appears to be the use of puppets. After all, Sesame Street is a PBS staple that simply cannot disappear. It's an integral part of any child's development. So what did the Democrats do? They held a press conference outside the Capitol with a poster of Bert and Ernie getting a GOP Pink Slip along with someone in an Arthur the Aardvark suit.

Shameless doesn't even begin to describe this stunt. It's typical leftwing tactics on display with Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) leading the charge.

Via POLITICO:
Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) rarely holds press conferences with animated aardvarks, but he went for it Wednesday, coaxing shy Arthur the Aardvark up to the podium.

“Come over here Arthur,” Markey beckoned to the human-sized title character in the PBS series, “Arthur: The World’s Most Famous Aardvark,” motioning for him to come up to the podium, as a small crowd of curious tourists began forming. Nearby, Rep. Betty McCollum clutched an Elmo doll and a stuffed Big Bird sat on the podium — both ready to fight in defense of funding for public broadcasting.

The House GOP leaders have announced intentions to slice funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the continuing resolution, resulting in the elimination of programming for the over 170 million people that use public media each month.

But Markey, along with Democratic Reps. Earl Blumenauer, Nita Lowey, Sam Farr, Paul Tonko, and Bill Owens plan to unveil an amendment to a spending measure that will refund educational programs like “Sesame Street” and “Arthur,” as well as funding for National Public Radio and local broadcast networks.
In particular, I thought this quote from Lowey summed up the pathetic attempt on the part of the Dems:
“The GOP should be less preoccupied with silencing cookie monster and more focused on reviving the economy.”
If it's all about silencing cookie monster, how does she explain the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) getting more than $400 million annual taxpayer dollars?

There would be more cookies for cookie monster if he went to the free market anyway.

This is Why Ron Paul is a Kook

Of course, there are many examples to illustrate the Mr. Hyde side of Ron Paul but this one encapsulates it perfectly. On this issue, he's squarely in the Jimmy Carter / Liberal media camp. Note that since the Egyptian protests started late last month, there have been 146 injured or killed journalists in Cairo's Tahrir Square. That didn't stop Ron Paul from equating the Tea Party with the Egyptian protesters / Muslim Brotherhood.

Via The Hill:
Tea Party activists are similar to pro-democracy protesters in Egypt, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Tuesday.

The libertarian congressman, who is a favorite of some Tea Party groups, said that like the protesters in Egypt, the small government movement does not have a defined leader and has many different factions.

Asked by CNN if he would prod the Tea Party movement to "do more" to push for spending cuts, Paul said that would do no good.

"Nobody controls the Tea Party people. They're restless," he said. "It's sort of like looking at those people who finally rebelled in Egypt and saying, OK, what is the consensus on what you want?"
This perfectly illustrates the Ron Pauliens' ignorance when it comes to Islam.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember any Tea Party birthing an angry mob of thugs who sexually assaulted a reporter.

This is why Ron Paul is nuts.

Video: 'Black Hole is Racist' Commissioner Strikes Again

His name is John Wiley Price and he's a Dallas County Commissioner. I think it's safe to say at this point that he's officially racist and that any name-calling he does is nothing more than projection. In 2008, Price was offended when a colleague of his referred to central collections as a 'Black Hole.' Price viewed such a term as 'racist' and the sentiment was even echoed by another commissioner. This time, Price comes unhinged and storms out of a meeting with constituents.

At the beginning of this video, you can hear an audience member say to Price, 'You've asked for respect from us, we give it. We demand respect.'

Price's response? 'All of you are white. Go to hell.' On his way out, he then points to a man who hadn't said anything to him and refers to him as 'Fat boy.'

Watch all the way to the end because the individual Wiley singled out is simply beyond incredulous. Price was so out of line that police would not let him back into the room. This is the kind of thing that happens when people take no interest in government. Over time, it's taken from the people by guys like John Wiley Price.

NYU Liberal's Reaction to CBS Reporter's Sexual Assault in Egypt

While the liberal media continues spinning the Egyptian / Muslim Brotherhood uprising as a wonderful thing, there are incidents and events on the ground that tell a much different story. Examples include the ten beatings sustained by CNN's Anderson Cooper and the assault of ABC's Christianne Amanpour. Another assault took place on February 11th and the victim was CBS News's Foreign correspondent Lara Logan. It was 'sustained,' 'sexual,' and 'brutal.'

Enter Nir Rosen. He's a liberal and a fellow at New York University's Center for Law and Security. He's also written for the Washington Post. In true ends-justify-the-means liberal fashion, Rosen exhibits no sympathy for Logan in multiple twitter posts. Instead, he implied that she deserved it because she is a 'war monger' while remaining completely insensitive, even joking that it would have been funny if Anderson Cooper would have been sexually assaulted as well.

All of this is happening as the liberal media continues to champion the uprising. Shockingly, in this AP video report about Logan's attack, it's reported that there have been 140 correspondents either killed or injured at Tahrir Square since the uprising.

At least in the case of one heartless liberal, apologizing for barbaric behavior justifies that uprising.

**UPDATE**: Nir Rosen is now GONE from NYU. Via the Blaze.

Video: How on Earth did THIS Happen on MSNBC?

His name is Niall Ferguson and he's a history professor at Harvard and Senior Fellow at Oxford. Maybe he appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe because his article made the cover of Newsweek, which is a publication the White House approves of so perhaps the producers didn't have to run the guest suggestion up the Presidential food chain of acceptable interviews. After all, we know the White House is in constant contact with Mika and Joe.

This is an absolute must-see because all five Morning Joe Panelists take their shots at Ferguson and fail miserably. Without batting an eye, Ferguson takes them each down one by one until there is absolutely no air in the MSNBC studio. If this were a movie, one guy totally fends off five attackers and the audience scornfully mocks the possibility as something that could never happen.

Niall is the proverbial pin and the Morning Joe crew is the balloon. The discussion is centered around the Obama administration's handling of the crisis in Egypt. Ferguson all but calls it an unmitigated disaster and warns the audience that the Muslim Brotherhood taking control is not a good thing at all. A female CBS reporter was attacked and sexually assaulted at Tahrir Square which only further backed up Ferguson's argument.
