Unfortunately, this kind of reality was totally predictable and totally avoidable. Nonetheless, the miscreant Obamautomatons wouldn't listen. Now, reality is smacking them in the face and they still don't get it. We are beginning to see where the road of an organized labor mentality leads.
The Hostess baking company told its Baking union employees that if there was a strike, plants would be closed. The union members went on strike anyway.
The very predictable result?
You guessed it.
"We should be treated with respeck."
Last week, Applebee's CEO Zane Tankel indicated that all of his full-time employees may have to go to part-time because of Obamacare. Layoffs are also a possibility.
Let's not forget Papa John's. The CEO and founder, John Schnatter said he will pass the additional costs of Obamacare onto the customers and will likely do things similar to what Tankel seems to be preparing to do if sales drop.
Here is a news report from before the election about Schnatter's plans if Obamacare is enacted:
These business owners and CEO's are not colluding; these are natural reactions to insane policies and laws.
I don't blame them one bit.

Proof Positive the Left Fears Atlas Shrugged Author
On its face, this is a clever tactic by a liberal Christian group to use guilt by association to paint Christians who find value in Ayn Rand's work as hypocrites. Obviously, these folks haven't heard phrases like, 'Through God, all things are possible' or 'God works in mysterious ways.' Christians the world over have seen how God has used evil to further His will. It's one of His infinite number paradoxes. For example, the holocaust gave birth to the State of Israel. It's true; Ayn Rand was an atheist but Jesus was a Capitalist (Parable of the Talents). Does that make Jesus an atheist? Absolutely not, but it confirms the desperation of the people who are doing this. In fact, God may actually be using them right now in the form of this campaign. If so, such a scenario would actually speak to why Ayn Rand may have been successful AS an atheist.
This is a good sign. The left has decided to enter the Atlas Shrugged ring by giving Ayn Rand the Sarah Palin treatment. We all know what that means.
They're afraid of her.

REP. PAUL RYAN NOT SHRUGGING AT HEALTH CARE
Ayn Rand may have been an atheist but her 1957 novel, "Atlas Shrugged" has aged like a fine wine. It lays out in no uncertain terms what happens when power-hungry bureaucrats, both government and corporate, feel threatened by capitalism and innovation - they squash it. What makes the novel so powerful is that it also lays out what happens when those bureaucrats ultimately get their way.
That's why it is refreshing to see a politician in the U.S. Congress - Paul Ryan (R-WI) - giving each member of his staff a copy of the book. If he truly embraces the principles relative to the power of the individual that are in that novel, it is a strong statement indeed. It's the stuff of paradigm shifts if in the right hands. Then again, we are talking about politicians and the novel is an exhaustive 1000+ pages. Politicians deal in perception and 'Atlas Shrugged' has become a Tea Party favorite. Reading the "Tea Leaves" comes natural for politicians.
Skepticism is high when it comes to all things Washington, D.C. these days. Sorry. That said, the American Thinker has a piece that seems to indicate Ryan might just be the real deal, pointing to his performance at the health care summit last month:

That said, the American Thinker has a piece that seems to indicate Ryan might just be the real deal, pointing to his performance at the health care summit last month:
At the health care summit, he was a man among boys, firing broadsides at the health care reform bill that hit their target with devastating accuracy. Obama didn't even bother to try and counter the points Ryan made. In 11 minutes, he destroyed the Democrats' talking points - and they knew it.For more on Ryan, he's got an op-ed in the Washington Post. He certainly talks like he and his staff have ingested the central theme in 'Atlas Shrugged':
His own health care reform bill, The Patient's Choice Act , was buried by House Democrats who refused to even consider most of the common sense, market oriented alternatives he was promoting. In fact, the president and the Democrats pretended that the bill wasn't even offered, referring constantly to the GOP having "no new ideas" about reform when a 248 page bill was staring them in the face, just waiting for the opposition to acknowledge its existence.
Rather than tackle the drivers of health inflation, the legislation chases the ever-increasing premiums with huge new subsidies. Already, Washington has no idea how to pay for the unfunded promises in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security -- and creating this new entitlement would accelerate our path to fiscal ruin. When you strip away the double-counting, expose the hidden costs that must be funded and look at the price tag when the legislation is fully implemented, the claims of deficit reduction are as hollow as claims of cost containment.Ryan seems to get it and as the American Thinker points out, he's a younger member of Congress who argues the conservative viewpoint on this matter better than most of its senior members.
Read Ryan's op-ed here.

Sarah Palin sounds like Dagny Taggart
In 'Atlas Shrugged', Dagny Taggart ran a railroad and corrupt powers prevented her from running her business. With Sarah Palin, oil and gas pipelines are facing similar opposition. In a column by Sarah Palin that appears in the Washington Post today, she says the following:
On July 3rd, I wrote that Palin's decision to resign made sense if her motivation involved going on offense.
As Governor and former VP Candidate, the abuse she's endured has been malicious, cruel, unjustified, and the kind I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy (not the least of which involved a despicable left wing blogger distorting the face of Palin's Down Syndrome son, Trig). And guess what? The attacks were effective because they put Palin on the defensive in almost every instance.
Not anymore. In her editorial, she slams Obama's policies. More importantly, her words are going to force the Obama Pawns to respond, which means they will have to switch from offense to defense, if only for a little while.
With justified attacks on the Obama economy, Cap and Trade, and unemployment, Palin delivers some VERY STRONG body blows.
In 'Atlas Shrugged', Dagny refused to be denied when it came to building a bridge to Wyatt Oil. Palin is showing a similar tendency by insisting that Alaskan oil be made available to the lower 48.

Our 3,000-mile natural gas pipeline will transport hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of our clean natural gas to hungry markets across America. We can safely drill for U.S. oil offshore and in a tiny, 2,000-acre corner of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge if ever given the go-ahead by Washington bureaucrats.
