Video: Latest Epic Nigel Farage Rant (Member of European Parliament)

This latest rant from MEP Nigel Farage appears to have been instigated by Spain's bailout. More specifically, another member's insistence that the bailout is proof of success is what caused Farage to have a righteous meltdown.

Is Germany now falling off the Wagon too?

When France elected far left socialist Francois Hollande as president last week, a prevailing theme was that the French are tired of austerity and want growth. That's like a fat person going to McDonald's because he/she is tired of being on a diet or a bankrupt person attempting to sign up for another credit card  because he/she is tired of paying down the debt; or the alcoholic who buys another bottle of Jack Daniels after growing tired of being sober.

It now looks like Germany, to some degree, is choosing to go down the same road.

Via Reuters:
Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives suffered a crushing defeat on Sunday in an election in Germany's most populous state, a result which could embolden the left opposition to step up its criticism of her European austerity policies.

The election in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), a western German state with a bigger population than the Netherlands and an economy the size of Turkey, was held 18 months before a national election in which Merkel is expected to fight for a third term.

She remains popular in Germany for her steady handling of the euro zone debt crisis, but the sheer scale of her party's defeat leaves her vulnerable at a time when a backlash against her insistence on fiscal discipline is building across Europe.

According to first projections, the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) won 38.8 percent of the vote and will have enough to form a stable majority with the Greens, who scored 12.2 percent.
Laws of economics are as unyielding as the laws of physics. Yet, Europe is moving toward a frame of mind that says the way to defeat gravity is to jump off a cliff.

You just can't fix stupid.

Video: European Parliament Member Wants Everyone Fired

There are two very well spoken - and outspoken - members of the European Parliament that occasionally deliver righteous rants that simply should not be ignored. The first - and perhaps most recognizable - is Daniel Hannan from Great Britain. Another is Nigel Farage. In this clip, after asking fellow members what planet they're living on, makes the case that they should all be fired. Note the guy who responds to Farage with nothing but ridicule. After arrogantly telling Farage he does nothing but complain, he asks Farage to offer solutions.

In a case of 'be careful what you wish for,' Farage's solution is firing everyone from the dysfunctional body.

Here is Farage from last year as well.

Video: Swiss Politician on Growth of Islam: 'Are we insane?!'

This guy's name is Oskar Freysinger and he's a Swiss member of Parliament. This is a righteous rant against the growth of Islam in Europe you won't want to miss. He gets to the heart of the problem quite quickly and continues to nail it. Based on the translation of his speech, it sounds like he was speaking in Berlin to a very receptive crowd. Nonetheless, it was an extremely impassioned speech on the dangers of catering to Islam. Western civilization has been trying to appease her enemies and it has failed miserably. We can only hope that one day, one of our members of Congress speaks from the floor like this.

Europe's New Immigration Problem - Tunisians

Call it an unintended consequence of the uprisings in Northern Africa but the European Union is having to deal with it nonetheless. In Europe, being insensitive to the plight of immigrants who want to enter your country without assimilating is considered xenophobia. However, countries like Italy are quickly learning the difference between xenophobia and protecting your own sovereignty. It looks like migrants from Tunisia have flooded one of Italy's islands and when attempts by that country to place those migrants in other EU nation states, the doors are closed.

Oh, and according to the AFP, the European Union is 'failing' to solve Tunisia's economic problems.

Via AFP:
BRUSSELS — The European Union is failing to act fast enough to help Tunisia overcome economic hardship that has fuelled an exodus, and few states are willing to share the burden to ease the migratory flow, officials say.

Immigration is always a politically sensitive issue in Europe, but the flood of illegal migrants pouring into Italy's island of Lampedusa since Tunisia's January revolution has brought out a bunker mentality in the 27-nation European Union, officials lament.

"Right now it's 'every man for himself'... There is no spirit of cooperation," an EU official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
"The atmosphere is not good," the official said.

Italy has pleaded for help from the rest of the EU to cope with the arrival of some 22,000 migrants on its shores, many of them Tunisians seeking a better future in other nations such as France, Belgium or non-EU but wealthy Switzerland.

However, Italy's EU partners have shown little enthusiasm to take in migrants.
It would appear that the need to be 'sensitive' and accepting of 'multi-culturalism' is on a collision course with reality.

Turkey's Prime Minister tells Turks living in Germany not to Assimilate

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Germany recently and had a message for the some 3 million Turks living in that country; assimilating is a 'crime against humanity.' This would be the equivalent of Felipe Calderon coming to the United States and telling Mexicans living here to pledge allegiance to their national heritage over the country in which they now live. There's no word yet on whether Erdogan is ok with allowing Germans in Turkey to do the same but somehow I doubt it.

Via Der Spiegel:
During a speech before around 10,000 people of Turkish descent in Düsseldorf, Erdogan once again raised the subject of assimilation. "Yes, integrate yourselves into German society but don't assimilate yourselves. No one has the right to deprive us of our culture an our identity," Erdogan said. His visit has been perceived as a stop in his campaign for re-election in a vote scheduled for the summer.

Most German politicians seemed to have very few misgivings about the content of the Turkish leader's speech. But one line did manage to spark a political debate on Monday and Tuesday. "Our children must learn German," Erdogan said, "but they must first learn good Turkish."
This should add further credence to the claims that Turkey is rapidly becoming a more Islamist nation. Der Spiegel also quotes from a leftwing publication in Germany; the writer clearly doesn't understand the threat:
"Berlin is dealing with a government in Ankara that is modernizing itself with a view to desired future EU membership, one that respects the rules of democracy and has also shown impressive economic growth. In the coming years, Turkey will continue to increase its position as a regional power, and its development could serve as a model for the compatibility of Islam and democracy. That applies even more so following revolutions in North Africa that have seen several Islamic countries seek their own path into the future."

"Germany needs Turkey as a partner in its integration policies. And it needs Turkey as a strategically important member of the EU."
As Turkey becomes more and more Islamist, Germans who believe Democracy and Islam can co-exist will one day find out the hard way that it cannot.

VIDEO: AUSTRIA'S GEERT WILDERS?

This is nothing short of a five minute bare butt paddling on the part of Austrian MP Ewald Stadler. The rise of an Islamist government in Turkey has been taking place ever since Erdogan became Prime Minister. Like other European countries, Austria has been dealing with a problem of Islamic immigration. Turkish ambassador in Austria, Ecvet Tezcan chastised Austria's home secretary for the mistreatment of Turks.

The charges levied by Tezcan appear to have been the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back with Stadler, who just - for lack of a better term - went off.

AWESOME VIDEO: ANOTHER MEP SLAPS THE EU IN THE FACE

In March of 2009, Member of European Parliament (MEP) for Southeast England, Daniel Hannan caught the world's attention with his righteous slap of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in full view of his colleagues - and cameras. We can now add a man named Nigel Paul Farage to the list of MEP's not afraid to attack clueless supporters of the European Union. Watch him here, as he thoroughly dresses down EU leadership, leaving them all with deer-in-the-headlights looks on their faces.

Watch what happens when the truth is finally told with force and vigor.
