Anthony, TX: Where TWO of Hillary's most problematic Filmmakers are locked up

The anti-Muhammad filmmaker - Nakoula Basseley Nakoula - currently sits in a federal prison in West Texas. So does another thorn in Hillary Clinton's side. His name is Peter Paul. That two of Hillary's most problematic individuals are locked up in the same federal prison is indeed worth a look, especially since Paul is serving a sentence that is longer than what the maximum sentence for his crime allows.

If there was a single individual who came out of the May 8th Benghazi hearings looking worse than anyone else, it was former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The number two man in Libya - before Ambassador Christopher Stevens was murdered - was Gregory Hicks. During his testimony, all signs pointed to the buck needing to stop at the very top of the State Department. Cheryl Mills, Hillary's Chief of Staff, was named as a key player in what is to objective eyes, a cover-up.

Barack Obama doesn't exactly have a reputation for telling the truth but when he referred to Nakoula Basseley Nakoula - the alleged man behind the anti-Muhammad video blamed for the 9/11/12 Benghazi attacks - as a 'shadowy character', Obama said something truthful. While the alleged filmmaker's past associations should certainly raise more eyebrows than they currently do, Nakoula is seemingly being kept in the shadows by the administration.

No one could have accurately predicted that an obscure YouTube video Nakoula was involved in producing would be a central component in the cover-up of the Benghazi attacks. On September 14th, just three days after the attacks, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton allegedly told the father of Tyrone Woods - the former Navy SEAL who was murdered in Benghazi - that the man behind the film would be arrested and prosecuted.

If the administration wanted Nakoula locked up not just to send a message to the Muslim world but also to prevent his story from being told, it certainly picked an interesting place to put him.

In his article the Benghazi Patsy, Rich Lowry writes:
...Nakoula was brought in for questioning by five Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies at midnight, eventually arrested and held without bond, and finally thrown into jail for a year. He sits in La Tuna Federal Correctional Institution in Texas right now, even as the deceptive spin that blamed his video for the Benghazi attack looks more egregious by the day.
If Nakoula's story provides trouble for Hillary Clinton, the fact that he sits at the La Tuna facility is a case of history repeating itself, which leads to the story of Peter Paul, who isn't scheduled to be released until 2014. The problem with that release date is that the maximum sentence for Paul's crime is ten years and he was first jailed for his alleged white-collar crime in 2001 - in a Brazilian prison, with hardened criminals.

In short, in 2000, Paul was a Hollywood mogul and put on a star-studded gala for Bill and Hillary. For Bill, it was a farewell gala and for Hillary, it was a campaign fundraiser for her U.S. Senate run in New York. In exchange, Paul expected Bill to work for him and Stan Lee (of Marvel Comics fame) as a rainmaker for Paul's company after Bill left office.

Unfortunately for Paul, once the gala was over, the Clintons reneged and he was discarded. Unfortunately for the Clintons (Hillary in particular), Paul would not go quietly. In 2007, while under house arrest, he put together a team that produced a documentary entitled, Hillary Uncensored. For nearly a decade, he dogged Hillary relentlessly. The trailer for his video - seen below - caught fire just as Hillary's primary with Obama was heating up. In fact, in October of that year, the video was the number one viewed video on Google, garnering more than 50,000 views / day. Then, magically, on one Saturday in early November, it was no longer in Google's top 100 videos.

When all was said and done, the trailer got more than 10 Million views before Hillary conceded defeat to Obama for the nomination.

Here is that trailer:

Must-see Videos: Rep. Trey Gowdy eviscerates ICE Director and DHS Under Secretary for releasing prisoners

When it was learned that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which reports to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), released thousands of illegal alien prisoners and blamed sequestration, it was a source of outrage. That outrage was not lost on Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) who, in his role as a member of the House Judiciary Committee absolutely spanked ICE Director John Morton and DHS Under Secretary for Management, Rafael Borras.

Gowdy is one of the few members of Congress who gives one hope that all is not lost. If only we had this kind of fire from Republican leaders in both Houses.

First up, John Morton...

Next, Rafael Borras...

NEWS ON THOSE FALN TERRORISTS ERIC HOLDER HELPED TO FREE

I remember hearing about this from a caller on Rush Limbaugh's show on Tuesday, December 21st. In fact, the author of this piece that showed up on American Spectator - Ron Kolb - may have also been that caller. The long and the short of it here is that in 1999, Bill Clinton offered clemency to 12 FALN Puerto Rican terrorists on the condition that they each express public remorse. All but one did just that so 11 went free. Kolb is quite passionate about that twelfth man, Oscar Lopez-Rivera, not going free on January 5, 2011 when his parole hearing is scheduled.

Via the Spectator:
Oscar Lopez-Rivera was one of the leaders and founders of the fringe Puerto Rican nationalist domestic terrorist group known as the FALN (Armed Forces of National Liberation). In a highly controversial move in August of 1999, Bill Clinton offered clemency to 12 members of that group (including Lopez), along with four other members of their closely allied group the Macheteros (machete-wielders), who were based primarily on the island nation.

The 11 other members of the FALN finally accepted the conditions of the clemency a month later by expressing remorse (in a move that was engineered by then Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder). However, in a surprising move, Lopez refused the offer. This was even after he had made two previous escape attempts (the sentence added for the second attempt would have delayed his immediate release).

Lopez had been sentenced to 70 years for seditious conspiracy and a variety of weapons charges as well as the second thwarted escape attempt (which included plans for the use of violence).

However, he is now attempting to gain his freedom, and a parole hearing is set for January 5th.
Be sure to read Kolb's entire article because he goes into great detail about who Lopez-Rivera really is. If he is released, he will become a living martyr for the hard left.

Kolb then ends with this action item:
Lopez is currently scheduled for release from the Terre Haute Federal Correctional Institute (in Indiana) in June of 2023. Again, his parole hearing is set for January 5th before the U.S. Parole Commission. If you wish to contact the commission, their number is 301-492-5990.
Go figure, another mess Holder's got ties to.

HERE is more on Clinton's decision to extend clemency in 1999.

Obama's Books Banned From Federal Prison

Head Scratcher of the day. Why would an al-Qaeda prisoner be prohibited from reading two books written by the President of the United States if he is permitted to read books in general? If books are not permitted at all, it would make sense but if they are, why can't he read "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope"?

The AP has the story..
Ahmed Omar Abu Ali is serving a 30-year sentence at the federal supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, for joining al-Qaida and plotting to assassinate then-President George W. Bush. Last year, Abu Ali requested two books written by Obama: "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."

Personally, I'm not a fan of granting enemies of the United States constitutional rights but Ali claims his are being violated.

Consider what Ali said about the decision according to the AP.
Abu Ali requested the books in August, before Obama was elected. In a short, handwritten note on a prison complaint form, Abu Ali argues that the two rejections "violate my 1st amend. rights" - referring to the part of the U.S. Constitution that promises free speech among other rights.

Talk about audacity!

If Ali is an American citizen, he committed treason and should be considered a domestic enemy that forfeited his Constitutional rights. If he's not a citizen, he should be labeled an enemy combatant and not allowed into this country.

I found this quote from the article intriguing...
prison officials, citing guidance from the FBI, determined that passages in both books contain information that could damage national security.

Questions to ponder...

If you're Obama, would it be politically inconvenient for an al-Qaeda prisoner to be reading your books considering the ruckus over the recent DHS report?

If prisoners are not allowed to read books because of restrictions on freedoms for prisoners (ie, punishment), Ali should not be allowed to have the books. On the other hand, if prisoners are allowed to read some books, shouldn't they be allowed to read books written by the POTUS?

Lastly, if there are "passages" in Obama's books that contain information that could damage national security, wouldn't there be a greater danger of national security being damaged by having those books in circulation, available to Islamist operatives already in this country and NOT in prison?

Something is very wrong with this logic. Again, if prisoners are allowed to have books, they should be allowed to read the books of a sitting American president.

Something not right here.
