ABOUT THOSE DEATH PANELS: SARAH PALIN WAS RIGHT OVER A YEAR AGO

On September 9, 2009 during a joint session of Congress, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouted 'You Lie' after Barack Obama claimed that his new health care plan would not apply to illegal aliens. Wilson suffered the wrath of his fellow congressmen and was censured. In the many months that have passed, he continues to be vindicated. In fact, it turns out that the only critique of his shout at this point would be relative to its timing. Before Obama uttered the words that garnered the now infamous response, he chided 'prominent politicians' (Sarah Palin and John Boehner) for asserting that the new bill would include 'death panels' and then proceeded to say the charge was 'a lie, pure and simple.'

Thanks to a New York Times article on Christmas Day, it is Obama who is once again proven to be the liar and Joe Wilson the courageous American patriot, who as a freshman, shouldn't have been the one to shout those two words. They should have come from a seasoned Senator like John McCain, who chastised Wilson.

As usual, Jeffrey Lord over at American Spectator provides spot-on analysis.

Here's the video of Obama calling Death Panels a 'Lie.'

Here is John 'wrong again' McCain after Obama's speech, chastising Wilson.

VIDEO: OBAMA BUSTED ON MYTHBUSTERS!

If only! Nick Gillespie over at Reason TV gives us this awesome 45 second trailer to a Mythbusters episode that would set all kinds of records for viewership. The subject matter would make for an excellent episode. Just start lining up all of the Obama campaign promises, commitments, and assertions one after the other and then compare it with reality. In fact, the myth to be busted or confirmed could be centered around Rep. Joe Wilson when he shouted from his seat during that joint session of Congress, 'You Lie!'

So, is Barack Obama a Liar? Check out the trailer.

UPDATE: VIDEO: DEM REP IMPLIES OBAMA LIED

UPDATED ON 10/29: Original post from 10/28 below the dotted line. Yesterday (28th) we learned that a Democrat Representative from Michigan found it unacceptable to have taxpayer funded abortions as part of any healthcare bill. He even seemed to feign indignation over the president's inconsistencies and semantics on the matter.

Now video of Stupak on Saturday, October 24th at a town hall has surfaced. At that town hall, he says that if the bill has everything he wants except the provision that prohibits taxpayer-funded abortions, he would still vote for the bill. At worst, these two positions are hypocritical and Stupak is doing the same thing he accused Obama of doing. At best, the reaction he got from those in attendance at his town hall caused him to change his position days later.

Either way, Stupak appears to be posturing and constituent heat on the issue of abortion is exposing some inconsistency on his part.

When Joe Wilson shouted, "You Lie" at Obama during the Joint Session of congress in September, no one realized how right he was. In addition to the statement Wilson responded to, there appears to be another one that seems to validate the same charge.

The claim made by Obama at that session in which he said "our plan" would not use taxpayer dollars to fund abortion appears to be a bald-faced lie as well. Representative Bart Stupak (D-MI) in this video explains why. Stupak does not want taxpayer dollars to fund abortion. HR 3200, the only plan available at the time Obama gave the joint session speech, consists of language that would allow taxpayer dollars to fund abortion is not going to be changed according to Stupak.

According to Stupak, Pelosi will hear no amendment calling for that change while Obama told him (Stupak) that he supports such an amendment. Uh, if Pelosi asks, "how high" when Obama tells her to jump, why is she so insistent that taxpayer dollars fund abortions?

Joe Wilson was right and probably could have shouted throughout the entire speech.

For greater detail, CNSNEWS has it.

VIDEO: KANYE INTERRUPTS OBAMA

And you thought it was Joe Wilson who interrupted Obama at the September 9th Joint Session of Congress. Your ears were apparently deceiving you. Pelosi might say your ears weren't balanced. In either case, if you have 15 seconds to kill, this is just the way to do it.

VIDEO: JOE WILSON HAS A JAMES CROWLEY MOMENT

After Barack Obama drew national attention to the incident involving his friend Henry Louis Gates (attention that ended up embarassing both he and Gates) by saying police "acted stupidly", Gates demanded an apology from the officer who arrested him.

Officer James Crowley's response? "There will be no apology."

How did Gates react to that? Did he get indignant? Did he point to Crowley's refusal to apologize as further evidence of his racism?

No. He caved by being the first to take President Obama up on the "beer at the White House" request. He realized that the longer things were drawn out, the worse he (Gates) looked.

The same will likely be the case for Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC) who shouted, "You Lie" when president Obama, while addressing a joint session of Congress, said that his health care plan would not cover illegal aliens.

On Sunday, Wilson told Fox News Sunday's Chris Wallace that he WOULD NOT cave to Congressional pressure to apologize on the House Floor. His courage is likely due, in part, to over $1 Million in contributions since the incident on July 9th.

Oh, and here's the video that started it all....

People who want Crowley and Wilson to apologize are simply taking a page out of the Jesse Jackson / Al Sharpton playbook.

Here's a tip for such folks....... People are on to you and have begun calling your bluff.

thanks to RCP for the video.

VIDEO: OBAMA CALLED A LIAR AT JOINT SESSION

Representative Joe Wilson (D-SC) screamed, "You Lie" during Obama's speech to a joint session of congress. The debate about whether the president DID lie seems to have been overshadowed by Wilson's breach of decorum.

The question should be, "Does truth trump decorum?" If so, Wilson should be lauded for telling it. The number of lies Obama has told on health care are challenged only by the number of crises that have been thrust onto the American people since he was inaugurated. A list of the ones told just in his speech is chronicled by DOUG ROSS.

Frankly, there are a lot of Americans demanding to be heard by this president and they are being ignored. What Wilson did was nothing more than provide a megaphone for all of the town hall protesters from his district. If Wilson's actions were approved by the majority of his constituents, he should be commended and not censured.

However, Wilson was chastised by John McCain on Larry King after Obama's speech. This is the same McCain that assured people who attended his town hall prior to the election that they had no reason to be scared of an Obama presidency. It's the same McCain who took offense when a town hall audience this past August booed him when he expressed his support for Obama. It's also the same McCain who lapped up the public praise at last night's speech.

This is why McCain was the wrong choice last November.
