Video: Senate candidate from Massachusetts (and former Navy SEAL) calls Democrat Opponent 'Pond Scum'

Gabriel Gomez is a former Navy SEAL who is running for Senate in 2014. His opponent is Rep. Ed Markey, a smarmy Democrat. In an ad, Markey's group juxtaposed an image of Gomez with an image of Osama bin Laden in an attempt to depict Gomez as going after Obama for killing bin Laden. Obviously, Gomez's problem was with the fanfare that came with bin Laden's killing. When a reporter asked Gomez about his problem with Markey's ad, the response included a reference to Markey being 'pond scum'.

For the record, in addition to being 'pond scum', Markey is also a registered socialist.

1984 Elizabeth Warren Cookbook: "Pow Wow Chow"

Elizabeth Warren, the self-beleaguered Democrat challenging Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, seems to be watching her American Indian claims coming back to bite her in a major way. Speaking of bites, the latest example comes in the form of her 1984 cookbook that has a rather insensitive (racist) title based on the standard set by the politically correct left wing.

Elizabeth Warren was touting her claim of Cherokee heritage as early as 1984, according to a cookbook titled “Pow Wow Chow” edited by her cousin that includes Warren’s recipes for a savory crab omelet and spicy barbecued beans. 

The cookbook, edited by Warren’s cousin Candy Rowsey, is a compilation of “special recipes passed down through the Five Tribes families,” according to the introduction in a copy obtained by the Herald. 

Warren, who has been under fire for claiming Indian lineage despite a lack of documentation, is identified as “Elizabeth Warren, Cherokee” under each of five recipes she contributes in the cookbook, published in 1984 by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum located in Muskogee. Warren is not listed as an official member of the Cherokee tribe and she has been unable thus far to document her claim of any Native American heritage. 

She offered a recipe on herbed tomatoes, touting them as a “great accompaniment to a plain meat and potatoes meal!” She also included a crab with tomato mayonnaise dressing dish and a Mexican oatmeal soup that included oats, onions, tomatoes and chicken broth.

Let's see, using the standard of the left, Elizabeth Warren is now a racist American Indian impersonator who owes the Cherokees reparations for her great-great-great grandfather's role in rounding up Cherokees during the 'Trail of Tears' and she might now be on the hook for using her faux American Indian heritage to sell cookbooks under a the faulty premise that she is part Cherokee.

It might be time for her to quit while she's behind.

Report: Elizabeth Warren's lineage takes a Bizarre Twist

Elizabeth Warren, Democratic Senatorial candidate in Massachusetts, made news last week when it was discovered that she checked the "Native American" box as a way to identify herself for the Harvard legal directory. The ensuing reports made a mockery of her claim. She defended herself by saying that despite her being only 1/32 American Indian, high cheekbones ran in the family.

Now, Ms. Warren has an entirely new set of problems. Not only do her claims appear to be bogus but her great-great-great grandfather allegedly 'rounded up' Cherokee Indians.

For over a quarter of a century, Elizabeth Warren has described herself as a Native American.  When recently asked to provide evidence of her ancestry, she pointed to an unsubstantiated claim on an 1894 Oklahoma Territory marriage license application by her great-great grand uncle William J. Crawford that his mother, O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford, Ms. Warren's great-great-great grandmother, was a Cherokee.

After researching her story, it is obvious that her "family lore" is just fiction.

As I pointed out in my article here on Sunday, no evidence supports this claim. O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford had no Cherokee heritage, was listed as "white" in the Census of 1860, and was most likely half Swedish and half English, Scottish, or German, or some combination thereof. (Note, the actual 1894 marriage license makes no claim of Cherokee ancestry.)

But the most stunning discovery about the life of O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford is that her husband, Ms. Warren's great-great-great grandfather, was apparently a member of the Tennessee Militia who rounded up Cherokees from their family homes in the Southeastern United States and herded them into government-built stockades in what was then called Ross’s Landing (now Chattanooga), Tennessee—the point of origin for the horrific Trail of Tears, which began in January, 1837.

Where's Al Sharpton when you need him? Shouldn't he be calling for Warren to pay reparations to the American Indians?

Zimmerman 50% Hispanic, Warren "maybe" 3% Cherokee; who is the Minority?

Some photos just capture the very essence of hypocrisy. Instapundit has posted one (below) that does so exquisitely. Anyone with even a modicum of cognitive ability has known full well that when it comes to minority status, ideology always trumps race in the Democratic Party. The matter of race is simply a tool the left uses to exploit. One case in point is Fast and Furious. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is silent, despite hundreds of dead Mexicans (hispanics). They're silent because Eric Holder is a Democrat.

Another prime example is that of far left extremist and Senate candidate, Elizabeth Warren, who is taking a bath in shame right now for checking a box that said she was of American Indian descent.

Warren has been forced to respond to the story incrementally, as new details have emerged, including a genealogist’s finding that documents suggested she might have been 1/32 Cherokee but would not qualify for tribal membership.

She had her most awkward public response on Wednesday, when she said she had checked a box listing herself as Native American for the legal directory for nearly a decade in hopes that she would “meet others like me,’’ and mentioned that she heard her aunt admiring the “high cheekbones’’ of her grandfather.

Despite this, far left wing hack, Jemu Greene is defending Warren.

It's recently been learned that George Zimmerman has black roots. In fact, he may actually have more African-American blood than Warren has American-Indian blood.

The 28-year-old insurance-fraud investigator comes from a deeply Catholic background and was taught in his early years to do right by those less fortunate. He was raised in a racially integrated household and himself has black roots through an Afro-Peruvian great-grandfather - the father of the maternal grandmother who helped raise him.

A criminal justice student who aspired to become a judge, Zimmerman also concerned himself with the safety of his neighbors after a series of break-ins committed by young African-American men.

Though civil rights demonstrators have argued Zimmerman should not have prejudged Martin, one black neighbor of the Zimmermans said recent history should be taken into account.

"Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I'm black, OK?" the woman said, declining to be identified because she anticipated backlash due to her race. She leaned in to look a reporter directly in the eyes. "There were black boys robbing houses in this neighborhood," she said. "That's why George was suspicious of Trayvon Martin."

You may quibble over whether Zimmerman is more black than Warren is Indian but one thing you cannot quibble over is Zimmerman being 50% Hispanic.

Tea Party now Officially in Scott Brown's Head

Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown (R?) won his election a little over one year ago by riding the wave of Tea Party momentum. He played the part, driving the now infamous truck to all of his campaign stops, pledging to remember those who put him in office. Another reason he was put in office was to stop Obamacare by eliminating the Democrats' filibuster-proof majority. He did that, and voted correctly on Obamacare but it didn't matter; it was rammed through anyway. For all practical purposes, that was the last time Brown showed allegiance to the Tea Party.

Personally, I suspected this would happen when I saw John Kerry by his side as soon as he was sworn in. The Tea Party, however, is not forgetting.

The strain of walking such a fine line must be getting to Brown, because as soon as he finishes his initial round of pleasantries, he launches into a peevish rant about how unfair conservatives are being when they criticize him. "The Democrats are in charge!" he shouts, his voice reaching the high, strained register that teenagers typically use when they don't want to take out the trash. "Does that mean I'm supposed to do nothing? That I'm supposed to vote with my party every single second of every single day? Why? I haven't done it for 15 years in the state legislature. All of a sudden I'm supposed to be an ideologue? I'm not quite sure what the mystery is, folks. When I hear some of the comments…I don't know what the mystery is. I said I was going down there to be a Scott Brown Republican, not someone who works for Harry Reid—or Mitch McConnell!" It's as if Brown is no longer addressing the people in the room—again, they're mostly Democrats. Instead, he seems to be fending off foes in Washington, real or otherwise. Unsure of how to react, the crowd quietly pokes at its meatloaf.

I wouldn't call an expectation from his constituents that he vote against Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal, Financial Regulation, the Jobs Bill, and a flawed START Treaty a demand that he become an ideologue.

If ever there is a sitting Senator who represents Tea Party betrayal, it's Scott Brown and he hasn't even in office for a third of a term. This is a Senator in deserve of defeat in the primaries.

A VIEW INSIDE THE LIBERAL ELITIST MIND

Charles Pierce is a left wing ideologue whose musings via the written word are intended to be funny but come across as vile and contemptible. As NewsBusters points out, in 2003 he actually said that Mary Jo Kopechne would have been "comforted" by Teddy in her old age if she'd have lived. That one might just win the most absurd rationalization for manslaughter I've ever heard.

However, let's park that one for a minute. What Pierce wrote ten days before the recent election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts is amazing all by itself but I'm almost equally struck by Pierce's apparent failure to acknowledge that he was wrong. NOTE: I'm struck not by the fact that he's a liberal who didn't do it but by how a human being can be so blatantly exposed by his own words and not demonstrate one scintilla of humility.

Things might not be looking too terrific for our Democratic president -- or, for that matter, for his good pal, our Democratic governor -- but the notion that Massachusetts would elect a Republican to fill the seat left vacant by Edward Kennedy was the property of people who buy interesting mushrooms in interesting places. You might as well expect the House of Windsor to be succeeded on the British throne by the Kardashian sisters. (And, by the way, if Teddy gets wind of how you claimed in your commercials to be the true heir to the tax-cutting legacy of his brother, the president, he’s going to come back from the dead and beat you severely over the head with a yachting cap.) But you’ve got a career now. In fact, I’d like to make you an offer. You may not have noticed, but your party doesn’t have much of what the sportswriters call a bench around these parts. I would like to make you the permanent Republican candidate for US senator. Seriously, you’re good at the job of being a candidate, and it’s going to be hard enough for your party to groom another state legislator every six years. Think about it. It beats working for a living.

After reading this, it should be obvious that Pierce should be chomping on crow while having egg all over his face but the reason liberals can spout off like that is apparently because they don't care or think about the consequences of their words. Pierce just keeps on going with crow feet sticking out of his meat collector and egg yoke in his beard (yes, Pierce makes silly comments in an attempt to be funny so I thought I'd return the favor).

Anyway, after seeing his boldly written - and boldly wrong - prediction in the light of the reality that Scott Brown did indeed win, I went looking for something Pierce had written. The Nation had posted what Pierce had written after the election. See if you can find any humility or contrition here:

2) Brown won in my part of the state, dammit. If you look at a map of Massachusetts, and you draw a vertical line on the western border of Framingham and another one at the eastern border of Springfield, Coakley didn't win a single city or town except tiny Harvard and the city of Worcester. The town where I grew up went 60-40 for him. I'm thinking of rewriting my birth certificate. And Doc's friend, the great Jim McGovern, better had get hustling because that's his district.

3) Most distressing of all, the Massachusetts electorate came out in favor of climate-change denialism and emphatically in favor of torture. In fact, his enthusiasm for waterboarding was probably the clearest and most unambiguous position that Scott Brown took on any major national political issue. (Some of the people interviewed here seemed to believe that Brown was going to D.C. to lower their property taxes.) Having spent years developing a foreign policy for the Norfolk, Bristol, and Middlesex state senatorial district, Brown concluded that he doesn't consider waterboarding torture--which, of course, makes him a liar and a coward, hiding behind semantics. And this from a guy in the JAG corps--which elsewhere employed some of the only heroes produced during the years in which the country degraded itself and its ideas, largely through the techniques that Scott Brown is so proud of, which is only another reason why we suck here in Massachusetts.

Looks like Charles got Pierced and has no clue how utterly ludicrous he looks, refusing to finish that crow and get a towel for that egg he's wearing.

VIDEO: BRIT HUME ON OBAMA SPINNING BROWN WIN

As usual, Brit Hume does an excellent job of succinctly making his point, regardless of the subject. In the case of Obama spinning the Scott Brown win in Massachusetts, Hume ends his commentary simply by saying, "wow". After showing the utter absurdity of the notion that Scott Brown - a Republican - won because voters in a heavily blue state are still mad at Bush, which is Obama's view, what else could he say?

VIDEO: DUMB AND DUMBER DUMBLY DOUBLE DOWN NOW

David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs provide the latest example of leftwing delusion, with the former saying that people are making too much of the results from the Massachusetts senate race. The political earthquake of that election is so blatantly obvious that the entire Obama administration and the Democrat leadership in congress makes Baghdad Bob look like Honest Abe.

Watch for their combined response when Axelrod is asked how the results can be interpreted any other way than that voters don't want the health care monstrosity because Brown said he would be the filibuster-busting vote. Axelrod looks to Gibbs to answer and is met with Gibbs' signature, "uhhhh" before Axelrod decides to deliver his own brand of a rambling non-answer.

These two really should have worn clown suits for this interview.

Notice the stark contrast painted by Tingles. In this corner, we have voters who will vote for Coakley and get the health care reform that they want. In this corner we have "pre-meditated" murderers of health care. At some point, this guy has got to issue a standard disclaimer with each broadcast saying he's an Alinsky-ite shill for socialism, marxism, and liberalism while attempting to portray an air of objectivity and should not be taken seriously unless you agree with him.

Everybody with a brain knows it but there are still some out there who think this is objective journalism.

Yes, people who voted for Scott Brown are guilty of "pre-meditated murder" according to Matthews.

STUBBORN STENY DOUBLES DOWN TOO

Pride has such a funny way of making people look beyond absurd to those on the outside looking in. What's really funny is the fact that they have GOT to know it but simply can't help themselves. The latest instance comes courtesy of House majority leader, Steny Hoyer, who actually attempts to make the case that the reason the heavily Democratic state of Massachusetts was going Republican was not because of the Democrats' agenda but because of the Republicans' obstructing it.

Wow.

The Hill Reported on the day of the election, when Steny saw the Stenyography on the wall:

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Tuesday said that angst voters have expressed early this election year is the result of GOP obstructionism, not the Democrats agenda.

Hoyer's remarks come as Republican state Sen. Scott Brown has surged in the Massachusetts special Senate election in part due to his pledge to be the GOP's 41st vote to filibuster healthcare reform legislation.

"I think what the public is angry about is they see, first of all, an opposition for opposition's sake," Hoyer told reporters.

Uh, Steny, maybe it was the fact that people like this registered Democrat saw through your lies. This man called you a liar to your face and you still ignored the majority of Americans who see your agenda for what it is - wicked.

PELOSI ALREADY DOUBLING DOWN ON OBAMACARE

We all knew it was coming but there's just something about watching it unfold that is still jaw-dropping. Nancy Pelosi couldn't wait 24 minutes let alone 24 hours - after it became apparent that Scott Brown had won - to open her yap about still being determined to ram the health care monstrosity down the throats of Americans.

The Politico reports that as she was leaving her office at 11:30pm, she dug in her heels:

And already Tuesday night, Democrats were being forced to come to terms with the prospect that their decades-long goal of health reform might once again fall short, despite getting closer to becoming law than ever before.

Pelosi insisted Democrats could still make it happen. "We will get the job done. I am confident of that. I have always been confident of that," she told reporters as she left the Capitol at 11:30 p.m.

"Massachusetts has health care and so the rest of the country would like to have that too," Pelosi said, referring to the state’s health care program. "So we don't [think] a state that already has health care should determine whether the rest of the country should."

I don't know what's going on inside that delusional mind of hers but she obviously has no clue how utterly ludicrous she appears to an increasingly overwhelming majority in this country. Arrogance, pride, and indifference all wrapped up inside a botox shell.

As if more irony was necessary in the Massachusetts senate saga. Perhaps Nancy should re-read the cover of her own book, which flopped monumentally, despite her appearing on every forum possible. Remember THIS? Be sure to read the reviews of that awful, awful book.

Spock would think twice before performing a mind meld on this woman.

VIDEO: ERICK ERICKSON OF RED STATE SMACKS DOWN DEMS

There are SO many ironic elements to Scott Brown winning in Massachusetts. Whether it's the fact that the Tea Party movement levied its strongest blow in a state where the original tea party took place or the fact that a special election certainly unforeseen by the Obama administration has sunk the health care monstrosity. Let's not forget WHY there was a special election - Teddy Kennedy. The man who made passing a health care monstrosity his life's work also remained in the senate well after diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Enter Erick Erickson of Red State, who was on a panel at CNN talking about what Scott Brown winning in Massachusetts means for the health care monstrosity.

His argument? If Teddy Kennedy would have resigned when he was diagnosed, the Democrats wouldn't have been in this position. Paul Begala calls it a "low blow".

AUDIO: CHRIS MATTHEWS ESPOUSES STEALING VOTES

These people are really unmasking themselves but what's behind the mask is even worse than so many thought. First we had Lib-talker Ed Schultz claim that if he lived in Massachusetts, he'd vote "ten times". Now we learn, courtesy of the audio below, that Chris Matthews is openly advocating the use of "street money" to buy votes with the help of "street corner guys".

Making this even worse is who Matthews is talking to when he says these things. That would be MSNBC reporter Chuck Todd, a man who is supposed to be an objective reporter. A man who is part of the press and not a pundit like Matthews. Anyone with any sense at all has long known that both are liberals but this exchange reveals they are so disheartened by the prospect that Massachusetts may get a Republican senator that they're advocating voter fraud.

MASSACHUSETTS: VERY INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT

Fred Barnes at the Weekly Standard is reporting that Republican attorneys are saying that the threat from the Democrats to hold off on seating Scott Brown if he wins may not be idle but it could very well be inconsequential. Interim Senator Paul Kirk (D) has already gone on record saying that he will vote for the Health care bill if the vote takes place on his watch.

Well, if Barnes' report is correct, that vote will have to take place before midnight Tuesday evening:

Appointed Senator Paul Kirk will lose his vote in the Senate after Tuesday’s election in Massachusetts of a new senator and cannot be the 60th vote for Democratic health care legislation, according to Republican attorneys.

Kirk has vowed to vote for the Democratic bill even if Republican Scott Brown is elected but not yet certified by state officials and officially seated in the Senate. Kirk’s vote is crucial because without the 60 votes necessary to stop a Republican filibuster, the bill will be defeated.

Scott Brown has pledged that he will be the 41st vote against the bill which would secure the filibuster. However, the 41st vote is not nearly as important as the 60th. If Kirk is out after Tuesday, regardless of what happens, there could only be 99 sitting senators, 40 of which would be against the health care bill, leaving Reid's posse one short of the necessary filibuster-proof super-majority.

Well Harry, it might be time to see how many Republicans can be bribed.

VIDEO: OBAMA CATCHES GAFFE-FEVER

Every high profile political campaign takes on a life of its own, with unforeseen plot lines and subtexts developing. In the case of the senate race in Massachusetts, one of those interesting dynamics is the attention being given to Scott Brown's truck, which is suddenly front and center, in a way not too dissimilar from how Joe the Plumber found the spot light.

Brown is winning this race on the ground and his old truck has been the vehicle to get him from point A to point B. It has nearly 200,000 miles and is quickly becoming a symbol in this campaign.

So Barack Obama hops on Air Force 1 and heads to Massachusetts to campaign for Coakley. While doing so, he calls out Brown's truck, mocking it.

There's a slight problem with that. The truck Obama is mocking was built by the company he owns (GM).



"Everybody can buy a truck." Really? Well, not everyone can fly Air Force 1.
