Western Civilization is being led by "Cave" Men

Everywhere you look today, men who are entrusted with great political power, are caving. In 2006, President George W. Bush caved when CAIR pressured him to never again use the phrase 'Islamic fascists'. Just last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu caved when Barack Obama pressured him to apologize to Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan for defending itself in the 2010 Gaza flotilla. There have been countless examples in between.

Before we get to some of them, consider what was taking place about this time nearly 2000 years ago. A man named Jesus was being arrested, thanks in large part, to elders and politicians, who on more than one occasion, attempted to get Jesus to cave. Had it not been for them, Pontius Pilate would have left Him alone. Even then, Jesus could have employed the desire for 'dialogue' with Pilate and the elders. He could have caved; he did not.

And he was even free of guilt and sin.

When it comes to Jesus' tortuous death, people reflect on His willingness to die for the salvation of all who believe in Him by rising again but there is another aspect to his death that is often overlooked. Consider the tremendous courage He had, standing there in front of Pontius Pilate, who was looking for a way to avoid what was coming. All Jesus had to do was cave and agree to the terms, which likely would have involved Pilate brokering a deal between Him and the Jewish elders and politicians.

Think of it. Pilate must have been beside himself. The Roman leader thought he had all the power! Human nature dictated that Jesus cave but Jesus transcended human nature because he was God in human form. Ultimately, it was Pilate who caved when he washed his hands.

This is not to say that the world's leaders today should be expected to have the same level of courage but if they're Christians, they are supposed to be as "Christ-like" as they can. These leaders are also not standing in front of Pontius Pilate, facing floggings and crucifixion if they stand their ground. If they can't be expected to have the same level of courage that Jesus exhibited then, shouldn't they at least be expected to follow the example of Joseph of Arimathea.

Via Catholic Encyclopedia:
He was a wealthy Israelite (Matthew 27:57), "a good and a just man" (Luke 23:50), "who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God" (Mark 15:43). He is also called by St. Mark and by St. Luke a bouleutes, literally, "a senator", whereby is meant a member of the Sanhedrin or supreme council of the Jews. He was a disciple of Jesus, probably ever since Christ's first preaching in Judea (John 2:23), but he did not declare himself as such "for fear of the Jews" (John 19:38). On account of this secret allegiance to Jesus, he did not consent to His condemnation by the Sanhedrin (Luke 23:51), and was most likely absent from the meeting which sentenced Jesus to death (cf. Mark 14:64).
Before one points to Joseph of Arimathea's "fear", consider that he did NOT succumb to groupthink and paid great honor to the Truth in the Flesh. Read on...
The Crucifixion of the Master quickened Joseph's faith and love, and suggested to him that he should provide for Christ's burial before the Sabbath began. Unmindful therefore of all personal danger, a danger which was indeed considerable under the circumstances, he boldly requested from Pilate the Body of Jesus, and was successful in his request (Mark 15:43-45).
While we're on the subject of the Catholic Church, let us consider the caving of its newly elected Pontiff, Pope Francis I, on two very significant fronts. First, in 2007, he signed a document which stated, in part, that elected politicians who are pro-abortion "cannot" receive holy communion. Yet, at his inaugural Papal mass in Rome, perhaps the two most prominent pro-abortion politicians who claim to be Catholic - Vice President Joe Biden and Democratic Minority leader Nancy Pelosi - received communion. There are only two possible conclusions we can draw. Either Pope Francis did not mean what he said in 2007 or fear took charge in 2013.

A few days later, Pope Francis said that he wished to "intensify... dialogue with Islam". An important distinction must be made here. He didn't say that he wanted to intensify dialogue with Muslims so that they could be converted. This would be an example of what the role of the pope - any pope - is. No, he said that he wanted to intensify dialogue with Islam. In a word, he advocated caving. In essence, the pope appears to have succumbed to Chrislam.

Consider some other examples of what appears to be caving due to varying degrees of pressure...

House Speaker John Boehner: This is perhaps the most obvious example. Ever since taking control of the gavel in early 2011, Boehner has lost practically every showdown with his opposition. In several cases, he simply chose not to fight. Whether it involved not aggressively pursuing major scandals like Fast and Furious or Benghazi; expressing solidarity with Michele Bachmann over the latter's concern about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration; or choosing not to de-fund Obamacare.

Chief Justice John Roberts: When the Supreme Court handed down its ruling on Obamacare, Roberts twisted himself into knots by saying the law was unconstitutional but that it was constitutional under taxing provisions. Obama administration operatives did all it could to intimidate the court into ruling in its favor. There is no proof that Roberts was intimidated but his ruling was so bizarre that many believe he caved to relentless left-wing pressure.

Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney: Those unwilling to admit what really happened will say that Mitt Romney simply had a flawed strategy but that's not what happened. Romney took a dive at the third and final debate. He never challenged Obama on Fast and Furious, Benghazi, or on why the Obama administration labeled the Fort Hood jihad attack as 'workplace violence'. Romney refused to fight Obama. Simply looking at the third debate confirms the cave.

Secretary of the Army, Gen. George Casey: Three days after the Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 14 and injured 32, Case went on ABC This Week and told George Stephanoplous that the loss of "diversity" would be a "greater tragedy" than those 44 casualties. In short, Casey caved.

House Homeland Security Committee Chair, Michael McCaul: When the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera was announced at the beginning of this year, Rep. McCaul (R-TX) had a duty to investigate it. He was sent a letter requesting that he convene hearings on this egregious act. He has chosen to ignore that letter and appears to be looking the other way, possibly because of a full-scale lobbying effort but then again, that's just another way of saying "cave".

For the most part, the Democratic Party has thrown in with wickedness; it is a party that went over the cliff years ago. At best, a controlling majority of the Republican Party has decided - consciously or otherwise - to follow the Democrats. At worst, that majority is an overwhelming majority. Nonetheless, there are individuals who are part of it.

Joseph of Arimathea is remembered today for choosing the right side at great personal risk. There are only a precious few who are willing to do so today. Unfortunately, none of them have enough power.

Did Pope Francis Cave at his Inaugural Mass?

When the likes of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, who consider themselves to be pro-choice pro-abortion Catholics, receive communion, it's about control. Every time they do it, they're challenging the Church not to give it to them.

First, take a look at an excerpt from a document Pope Francis signed in 2007:
“...we should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence’, that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortion, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated.  This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”
Now, fast forward to Pope Francis's very first mass as Pope. Guess who was in attendance and received communion.

Via POLITICO:
Vice President Joe Biden and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, both strong pro-choice advocates, took communion during the papal mass Tuesday in Rome, according to a pool report.

The move could potentially reignite a passionate debate about the propriety of participating in the ritual without fully abiding the Catholic Church's teachings.

Pope Francis has said he is clearly against the practice, particularly by pro-choice politicians.
It would seem the new Pope blew a chance to establish a new standard and did not meet the standard he himself set. This all happened at his very first Mass as Pope.

Disappointing.

Louie Gohmert Audio: 'Facelift' the only difference between Boehner and Pelosi

If it was considered an open secret before, that Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has little to no respect for House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), it's not anymore.

Now, it's just flat-out in the open.

During an appearance on the Dennis Miller show, Gohmert essentially said there is only one difference between Boehner and Pelosi; the latter has had a 'facelift'.

The silver lining for John Boehner? Well, Gohmert didn't accuse him of having one.

Via MediaIte:

Gohmert is beyond frustrated with Boehner, and rightfully so. His level of frustration is reminiscent of the kind British MP Leo Amery had for Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain shortly before Winston Churchill took over.

Via the Guardian, here is how Amery ended his speech on the subject in 1940:
Somehow or other we must get into the government men who can match our enemies in fighting spirit, in daring, in resolution and in thirst for victory. Some 300 years ago, when this house found that its troops were being beaten by the dash and daring of Prince Rupert's cavalry, Oliver Cromwell spoke to John Hampden. In one of his speeches he recounted what he said. It was this: "I said to him, 'Your troops are most of them old, decayed serving men and tapsters and such kind of fellows'… You must get men of a spirit that are likely to go as far as they will go, or you will be beaten still."

It may not be easy to find these men. They can be found only by trial and by ruthlessly discarding all who fail. We are fighting today for our life, for our liberty, for our all; we cannot go on being led as we are. I have quoted certain words of Oliver Cromwell. I will quote certain other words. This is what Cromwell said to the Long Parliament when he thought it was no longer fit to conduct the affairs of the nation: "You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go."
Gohmert knows what too few do or are willing to admit. Boehner is the wrong guy for these very dangerous times. He has proven to be a very weak leader.

Time for Catholic Church to excommunicate Nancy Pelosi?

It's no secret that the Obama administration has declared war on the Catholic Church. In particular, over things like abortion and gay marriage. Two of Obama's most ardent mouthpieces are Catholics themselves, to include Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi. At a press conference, Pelosi was asked how she reconciles being a Catholic with supporting Obama's stated position on gay marriage.

Her response? Catholicism makes her support it.

Are we to believe too, that her faith also compels her to support abortion?

Uh, is it possible that maybe, just maybe, it could be time for the Catholic Church to show Pelosi the door? Until that happens, the moral high ground will not have been fully seized.

Time for Catholic Church to Excommunicate Pelosi?

Perhaps it's time for the Catholic Church to do something bold, like excommunicate Nancy Pelosi. While speaking at Texas A&M, Pelosi poked her finger in the chest of the Catholic Church by twisting the entire HHS contraception mandate around and blaming the Church for not "enforcing" its teaching on contraception.

The argument from Pelosi is that since 98% of Catholic women use contraception and that, as a result, the Catholic Church should shut up and pay for it because it hasn't been effective at preventing its use. First of all, if there's one thing that has been proven over and over and over again, it's that Democrats lie when quoting statistics so I don't believe her 98% figure at all (remember when the Obama administration's claim that 90% of the guns used in crimes in Mexico came from the United States?).

Second, if the Catholic Church was "enforcing" its teaching on contraception, Pelosi would be acting like a caged animal, throwing hay up in the air about it. If you've ever wondered what a "heads I win, tails you lose" argument is, this is it.

Nonetheless, if Pelosi wants to play hardball with the Catholic Church by saying it should shut up and pay for its employees' contraceptives because it hasn't enforced its own teachings, I can think of no better response from the Church than to say, "You know what, Nancy? You're right. We haven't been enforcing our own teachings and we're going to change that today, starting with you. We are hereby excommunicating you from the Catholic Church because of your position on abortion."

Gingrich and Pelosi Co-sponsored 418 Bills

If you thought Newt's love seat spot with Nancy Pelosi was bad, this might just put them both in a living room, in front of a fire, and sharing a blanket (that is a metaphor for those who can't stomach the visual).

Via Daily Caller:
Many of the bills Gingrich and Pelosi co-sponsored were hardly divisive: authorizing an award for Mother Teresa, giving a congressional gold medal to former President Gerald Ford and recognizing the 50th anniversary of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
But one piece of legislation could be problematic for Gingrich with conservatives: the Global Warming Prevention Act of 1989, which never made it out of committee.
The legislation declared that climate change was “a major threat to political stability, international security and economic prosperity.”
The bill could also make the pro-life community uneasy with language about the availability of “family planning services” that included a declaration that, “curbing world population growth will be critical to achieving the goals.”
And while it prohibited funds from going towards “involuntary sterilization or abortion,” it doesn’t appear the bill would have prevented “voluntary” cases of abortion.
It might be time for a new 'not Romney' candidate. Paging Rick Santorum...

Read it all.

Is Newt Gingrich a Political Schizophrenic (Think Climate Change)?

As conservatives continue kicking the tires of the Gingrich Mobile, they're starting to ask what's in the trunk because the back-end seems to be sinking from all the baggage. One of the bags in there holds Newt's politically schizophrenic positions on Climate change. Granted, Newt has admitted that sitting on a love seat with Nancy Pelosi to record a climate change ad was 'one of the dumbest things I've ever done' but it looks like he may need to do far more, like convince - and I mean convince - conservatives that he has had a 'Road to Damascus' experience. However, any such experience must have come since 2010.

Via Aaron Klein at WND:
...in a video interview with Human Events magazine in May 2010, the former speaker not only defended his commercial with Pelosi, but he said he would do it again even after the 2009 email hacking scandal raised serious questions about the science behind so-called global warming.
"If they offer the chance to, then sure," Gingrich replied, when asked if he would do the commercial again despite the climate science controversy.
"I would do a commercial with Al Gore," he further stated.
The Pelosi commercial was for a Gore initiative. It promoted the Gore-founded website and project, We Can Solve It.org.
In the 2008 ad, Pelosi states alongside Gingrich, "Go to We Can Solve It dot org. Together we can do this."
In both his Human Events and O'Reilly interviews, Gingrich stated he was against "climate change" legislation.
"I actively opposed cap and trade. I testified against it the same day Al Gore testified for it," he told O'Reilly.
Speaking to Human Events, Gingrich stated, "I deeply oppose giant tax increases. I oppose centralized bureaucracy."
These are extremely disturbing realities that point to Gingrich being a political opportunist at best. It might be time to wander over to the Santorum mobile or give the Bachmann mobile another test drive.

Here is Gingrich earlier this month on Fox News Channel's Center Seat, telling viewers that the Pelosi gig was 'dumb.' Evidence is pointing to Gingrich seeing the ad as dumb not because he's had that Road to Damascus experience but because he knows it might be a self-inflicted and politically mortal wound.

Chilling Video: Steve Wynn gives Cavuto look behind Curtain of 'Politics in America'

Look for this to get significant play over the next couple of days. It's not often (perhaps never) that a wealthy businessman is this frank about his dealings with national politicians but Las Vegas hotel magnate, Steve Wynn does just that and it is more than just a little chilling. The fact that Wynn is this frank is trumped only by his charges which, in turn, are made all the more disturbing by the fact that he's so forthright about delivering them.

Here, Wynn tells what looks like an increasingly shell-shocked Neil Cavuto that politicians know they're doing wrong but do it anyway. He makes reference to Harry Reid hanging up on him and then his Congresswoman telling him during the Obamacare debate that while she didn't agree with the legislation, she voted for it for fear of being 'punished' by Nancy Pelosi. Watch the entire 1:30 of video. If you're not awake before watching this, you should be afterward.

A relevant follow-up clip comes from none other than Obama himself, who said these words while in Las Vegas. In light of what you heard Wynn say about Pelosi's tactics, consider the implications of Obama's words here when he says he is going to act 'with or without Congress.' It is long past time for the legislative branch to stand up for itself against this president.

White House Stance on Hoffa's Speech: No Comment

Community Organizers can equivocate and bask in the black lights (race-baiter alert) of plausible deniability but sooner or later, a Community Organizer who becomes President of the United States will have to come out into the sunlight. Consider Barack Obama's non-reaction to Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. calling on a crowd of leftists to 'take these son of a bit***s out' as the quintessential example. When asked to renounce Hoffa's comments, which were said in Detroit during a rally at which Obama himself spoke, the administration declined. This can be nothing other than tacit approval.

Via ABC News:
Despite President Obama’s repeated claims to change the tone in Washington, the White House had no comment this afternoon after Teamsters Union leader James Hoffa, speaking at an event before President Obama, said of Tea Party activists that, come November, Democrats should “take these sons of bitches out.”

Warming up the crowd before President Obama’s Labor Day speech in Detroit this afternoon, Hoffa warned the largely union crowd that the Tea Party was waging a “war on workers.”

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Hoffa told thousands of workers gathered for the annual event organized by the Detroit Labor Council.

“President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march…Everybody here’s got a vote…Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong,” he concluded.
h/t to Weasel Zippers for providing a nice juxtaposition via Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama himself when allegedly heated rhetoric prompted them both to call for civility. First, here's Pelosi in 2009:

Here's the now silent president back in January of 2011 at the Tucson memorial for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords:

Video: Pelosi Calls Tucson Shootings a 'Tragic Accident'

There is a paradigm that says nothing happens by accident in Washington, D.C. If that's the case here, one has to wonder the political intent. It's quintessential moral relativism to say that a mass shooting is a 'tragic accident' but Pelosi went there. If it's an accident, then it's no one's fault. That would include Jared Loughner. If it's no one's fault, then everyone must share in the blame. If everyone must share in the blame, there are certain things that can be done to prevent such accidents in the future, right?

We have reached despicable lows when those who perpetrate acts of murder are no longer responsible.

Yes, Pelosi is delusional but this is likely the closest we'll get to her ever admitting that Jared Loughner was not a creature of the Tea Party or talk radio. On the contrary, if he was political at all, he was from the left.

h/t Freedom's Lighthouse

Contrast those words with what she said in 2009 when she compared the Tea Party to the (left wing) violence that happened in San Francisco in the 1970's (Weather Underground / Jim Jones). She was obviously prepared to blame the Tea Party if something did happen. Loughner wasn't it, as much as she wanted him to be.

VIDEO: PELOSI'S BIGGEST LIE ON LAST DAY AS SPEAKER

I don't think the english language has yet invented an adjective that accurately describes this. It's despicable, yes. Egregious, absolutely. However, the ability of Nancy Pelosi to stand erect with a straight face behind a podium and mouth these words is beyond description as of yet. This may just trump all of the lies Obama has told so far in his two years in office. In fact, she may have done an effective job at running interference for him by doing so. Before viewing this, bear in mind that when Pelosi became House Speaker in January of 2007, the deficit was just over $8.5 Trillion. As she hands over the gavel to John Boehner four years later, it has already hit the $14 Trillion mark.

Now watch.

DID 'WHITE HOUSE INSIDER' TAKE A CREDIBILITY HIT?

The alleged 'White House Insider,' who has been talking to anonymous blogger Ulsterman has maintained quite steadfastly that Pelosi would not stay on as the Democrat leader, though he / she DID predict Pelosi would not stay on as Speaker. As we all learned this week, Pelosi will remain the leader of the Democrat minority. Ulsterman posted another interview with WHI that took place prior to it becoming finalized that Pelosi would be minority leader.

WHI did allow him/herself some wiggle room though. While virtually certain that Pelosi would step down, WHI did discuss what it would mean if she did stay on; the conclusion was it wouldn't be good for the Democrat party but more important, according to WHI, it would mean that she cut a deal with the administration not to leak incredibly damaging information about Obama in exchange for retaining her leadership role.

Via Ulsterman:
Ulsterman: But if Pelosi keeps her leadership position, and it looks like she will —

Insider: I wouldn’t bank on that just yet – we got more and more people telling her to step the -expletive- down. Stand aside. Don’t be surprised to be surprised on that. I said she was done as Speaker, and I was right on that. I said she-she didn’t have the support to be party leader and I still stand by that. Still standin’!

Ulsterman: What if she does stay on as Minority Leader? Any effect on the scandal? Investigations? The Obama White House?

Insider: The number one impact is on the Democratic Party – and it would be a terrible-terrible thing for us. It’s inconceivable. Do you get that? Keep in place the same damn party leadership that cost us to lose 60 odd seats in the House? Why in the hell would we do that? Why? There is just no damn way the party is that stupid. No. Cannot be.

Ulsterman: What other impacts? Complications?

Insider: Of Pelosi staying on as party leader? Plenty. For one, it makes me question myself – my information, and that would make me very-very nervous. I don’t like to receive surprises. Like to give them. Don’t like to get them. That would be a nasty little surprise come my way.
Ulsterman then presses WHI for more clarity on why it would be such a big deal if Pelosi were to remain as minority leader..
Insider: (Hands cover face – then looks back at me.) Ok…ok, here…here is – I strongly suspect Nancy Pelosi has certain information, or parts of information, that-that would be essential to helping certain investigations against the White House. Investigations that could lead all the way to the top. It was my understanding that Pelosi had decided to let this information be known to others, say members of a committee, in her…absence. She would be gone, living the good life out there in California, not part of the investigations, not the cause of the disclosure, you know, that kind of scenario – though I think she has let some stuff get out there already as a way of telling the White House to back the -expletive- off. But by laying back on all of it, she would have necessary separation from it all. Do you understand?
Sound credible?

Keep watching Robert Gibbs. Remember, WHI said he would be leaving soon and the clock is ticking. If Gibbs doesn't go soon, WHI could start losing readers.

PELOSI STAYING ON AS MINORITY LEADER

In the months preceding the November 2nd elections, a conservative mantra became a rallying cry for the Tea Party movement - 'FIRE PELOSI.' After the election, the mantra flipped when the talk of her staying on as minority leader would not subside. The new mantra for conservatives? 'HIRE PELOSI.' Even Democrats seemed to agree with the notion that keeping Pelosi on as the Democrats' House leader would be a very bad idea because it would keep the trio of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi in place as the three-headed monster responsible for the 2010 electoral tsunami.

It looks like Republicans got their wish - Pelosi will remain on as the leader of the Democrats. Via Fox News:
WASHINGTON -- House Democrats averted a messy leadership struggle, clearing the way for Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer to become second in command of their new minority without a challenge from South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn.

Under an arrangement worked out in private, officials said late Friday that Clyburn would instead receive a new position, title unknown and duties undescribed, explicitly labeled the third-ranking post in leadership.
The odd man out is obviously Clyburn and this should be newfound evidence for the 90% of blacks who consistently side with the Democrat party that it is indeed the Democrats who are racist. When the Democrats were the majority party, Pelosi was Speaker, Steny Hoyer was majority leader and Clyburn held the position of majority Whip. Now what?

Pelosi will take Hoyer's old role, Hoyer will take Clyburn's old role, and Clyburn is on the outside looking in while receiving assurance that he will be given a significant role while holding a position that doesn't even exist.

Another interesting theme that is developing is how Pelosi is holding onto her power. Despite multiple Democrats publicly saying they would prefer someone else lead the party in the House, Pelosi is running unopposed and Democrats are coming across like the soldiers in the Wizard of Oz afraid to confront the witch.

DO REPORTS OF PELOSI COMMENTS BACK UP 'WHITE HOUSE INSIDER'?

This is interesting on a couple of different levels but outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly told Democratic leaders that the only way Barack Obama would win a second term is if he is 'perfect' between now and then. Adding credibility to this is that according to Roll Call, several aides are said to have vouched for the quote. Obviously, if true, Pelosi has serious doubts about Obama and expressed it by setting an impossible standard.

Via Roll Call:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Democratic leaders Wednesday afternoon that President Barack Obama has to be “perfect” to win a second term, several senior Democratic aides told Roll Call.
and this....
According to one aide, Pelosi also said she wasn’t sure whether the White House is prepared to deal with a Republican House. A leadership aide denied that Pelosi made such a statement.
Interestingly, this look behind the curtain would seem to also bolster the credibility of that 'White House Insider' who's been speaking to an anonymous blogger named 'Ulsterman.'

Here is what WHI said to Ulsterman way back in a post dated October 7th:
Insider: You want to know what Pelosi thinks of Barack Obama? The phrase that was forwarded to me that is said to have come from her?

Ulsterman: Absolutely.

Insider: Now I’m paraphrasing here a bit, but this is the gist of it. “If the president wants a war then that is what he is going to get. I’m done playing patsy to this -expletive- White House. If that -expletive- wants to throw me under his -expletive- bus, then bring it on.

Ulsterman: A war? There is a war between Pelosi and Obama?

Insider: Yes. As extreme as that sounds, that pretty much sums up the situation now between the Speaker and the White House. They are certainly not on friendly terms. Did you notice how there was almost no public comments coming from Pelosi for weeks? She went quiet. Apparently she was directed by White House staff to minimize her public comments in the final months prior to the midterms because she had become such a political liability. That is how she was described by the White House – a liability. White House staff told that to her face. And you know what? The speaker went along with it. It had to be tough, because she is as proud a woman as you will find, but she conceded to the White House’s request that she remain quiet. At least for a while. Now she is speaking out again, and if you read her words carefully, you can see them being directed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, as well as her own Democrats in Congress. She is now reasserting herself as the leader of the party, no longer trusting the White House to deliver an effective message to voters. I believe the lame duck session following the midterms is going to prove extremely…interesting.
In light of those claims, it would seem Pelosi is going to be increasingly critical of the president as each day brings her closer to giving up the gavel.

NANCY PELOSI TO ATTEMPT LAME DUCK IMMIGRATION VOTE

Nancy Pelosi has a mental problem and I don't say that flippantly. First, she carries that huge ridiculous gavel through the Tea Party crowd back in March, while laughing on her way to the health care vote; she then predicts Democrats will hold onto the House all the way up to the day before the election; after getting totally shellacked in the midterms, she claims that she wants to be minority leader; then she decides to throw a party to celebrate her party's accomplishments over the last two years.

Now this. She wants to force a vote during this lame duck session that would allow illegal aliens to vote. Via POLITICO:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to push for a vote during the lame-duck session on a bill that would legalize young, undocumented immigrants if they attend college or serve in the military, according to Democratic sources familiar with a leadership conference call Wednesday.

A vote on the bill, known as the DREAM Act, could come as early as next week, the sources said. Pelosi asked Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) and Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) to assess the mood of the caucus, according to one source.
There is no end to their shame.

'WHITE HOUSE INSIDER' GIVES FIRST POST-ELECTION INTERVIEW

The anonymous blogger known as 'Ulsterman' has posted another interview he allegedly had with an anonymous 'White House insider,' who is ostensibly an extremely disenfranchised Democrat with a huge load of buyer's remorse over supporting Barack Obama and working for his campaign in 2008. The Insider predicts that Nancy Pelosi will NOT succeed in her bid to become the House minority leader and also that a huge scandal will bust open in 2011 that could reach the president. Yeah, those don't sound like overly bold predictions but this person has delivered some very specific information in the past that proved to be correct.

Via NewsFlavor:
Ulsterman….do you think the president is going to pull a Clinton and veer back to the middle of the political road?

Insider: (shakes head) I have said it many times – Barack Obama is no Bill Clinton. He doesn’t have Clinton’s intellect, Clinton’s political know-how, or Clinton’s common sense. Barack Obama is too self involved, too bored of details, too lazy. But even more important, Barack Obama doesn’t have the people around him who will allow a turn toward the political middle. Many of the moderates in the Democratic Party were taken out with this election. What is left are the far left people – the -expletive- “Progressives” if you will. They are still in denial. Never before has such a group of like minded dumb -expletives- inhabited the halls of the United States government.
Here is part of the exchange about Pelosi:
Ulsterman: I want to ask you about Nancy Pelosi. You know people in her office, right?

Insider: Maybe. I hear things, yeah.

Ulsterman: You have said more than once that she is finished as Speaker. Now she has come out and declared her intent to be Minority Leader. Have you been proven wrong?

Insider: Wrong? Is she going to remain on as Speaker of the House? No, she is not. The Democrats lost. I don’t think I said anything specifically about her being Minority Leader, or not much at any rate. But—-

Ulsterman: (Interrupts) So will Nancy Pelosi be the minority leader in the House? Is she staying on as a member of Congress, because that would seem to contradict what you were telling me earlier…

Insider: No. No I don’t think she is going to be Minority Leader. She doesn’t have the backing. That’s the word I have received from many different sources, including members of Congress. What Nancy Pelosi is doing now is trying to save face. It is desperate…and well, kind of pathetic too. I will say this with absolute certainty – if she does not get the minority leader position, she is leaving Congress. She has said that directly to members of her caucus.

VIDEO: PELOSI IN DENIAL UNTIL THE VERY END

On the day of the election, pundits everywhere were reporting that Republicans would be making huge gains in the House. Anyone with an ounce of intellectual honesty was able to see the writing on the wall. Enter Nancy Pelosi, who had another Baghdad Bob moment, telling reporters that she expected Democrats to retain control of the House. Sitting next to her was subordinate Rep. Chris van Hollen who echoed the same sentiment.

It will be fun to watch her hand over the gavel. It'll be like Shooter McGavin being unable to process Happy Gilmore winning the gold jacket.

VIDEO: UH OH, NANCY PELOSI'S PROJECTION PROBLEM

Another Big Get over at Breitbart's Big Government website. It makes for an extremely interesting development in light of Nancy Pelosi's 2009 claim that Tea Parties are Nazi-esque and generated via astro-turf tactics, an art perfected by senior Obama advisor David Axelrod. Thanks to a camera phone, we see that Pelosi may have a bit of a projection problem on her hands - blaming others for what her side actually does. We see that not only is it the left that engages in these Nazi-esque and astro-turf tactics but thanks to video in this case, we see that it involves a specific individual tied to Nancy Pelosi directly.

Just to whet the appetite, here is that important video from August of 2009 that proves very pertinent. Nancy Pelosi accuses the Tea Party of using "Swastikas" and "Astro-turf".

Now, a couple of word definitions to keep in mind..
1.) Astro-turfing - apparently grassroots-based citizen groups or coalitions that are primarily conceived, created and/or funded by corporations, industry trade associations, political interests or public relations firms.

2.) Projection - the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.
Now on to the Big Government expose.

Fast forward to the protest this month. Illinois' 11th District features a race between GOP candidate Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D). Not only are these left wing protesters holding pictures of Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and Kinzinger with Hitler mustaches but as you stick with the video, you'll see them enter the campaign office of Halvorson; even more telling than that is who is seen in that office, appearing to chuckle over the events that had just transpired.

Her name is Julie Merz. Big Government claims that not only does Merz happen to be Halvorson's campaign manager but she was recently - possibly at the time Nancy smeared the Tea Parties - an assistant to Pelosi. More at Pantagraph.

Anyway, here is the video of the protest followed by the protesters' visit to Merz's office. Merz is seen at the end of the video wearing a green shirt inside the campaign office.

MY LATEST COLUMN AT BIG PEACE

The title of my latest post over at Big Peace is 'Pelosi Spits on the Graves of her Protectors'. It focuses on the target of United Flight 93 on 9/11, which was likely the U.S. Capitol, the building where Nancy Pelosi works. Her words about calling for an investigation into those who oppose the ground zero mosque struck a nerve.
PELOSI SPITS ON THE GRAVES OF HER PROTECTORS
The target of Islamic hijackers aboard United flight 93 on September 11th, 2001 was depicted in a 2006 film as being the United States capitol building. Investigations after the plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field pointed to a high probability that the place where 535 elected officials – including Nancy Pelosi – are charged with working for the American people, backed up that depiction.

At the time, the current House Speaker was a member of Congress; just one month later, she was voted House minority whip by her colleagues – a position that would have come with a drastically new set of priorities had the Capitol building been successfully hit by America’s Islamic enemy. Lives were saved by a cross-section of Americans she has demonstrated contempt for today.

Then on January 3rd, 2003 Pelosi recorded two firsts in American history. In addition to being the first woman sworn in as House minority leader, she became the first woman to be nominated for Speaker of the House.

After the 2006 elections, Pelosi achieved yet another milestone, becoming the first woman ever elected as Speaker of the House. The form of government that allowed her to become all of these things was defended by middle class Americans on September 11th. The building that houses the chamber she currently leads was protected from attack as a result.

Todd Beamer, the passenger who famously rallied the others with the words, “Let’s Roll” was one such middle class American who worked in the private sector. He was an account executive on a business trip and his words also rallied a nation. His actions directly contributed to the protection of the symbol of our legislative branch of government from harm at the hands of America’s Islamic enemy.

Fast forward nearly nine years to August 17th, 2010. In the midst of...

AUDIO: PELOSI CALLS FOR INVESTIGATION...INTO MOSQUE OPPONENTS

Calls for an investigation into the funding of the extremely suspect Ground Zero mosque Imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf have been ignored repeatedly. Despite strong evidence that Rauf may be funded by nefarious sources and that he personally has connections to nefarious Islamic groups, those responsible for spearheading such an investigation have decided it's not warranted. However, now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stood up - to defend Rauf by calling for an investigation into the funding of those who oppose the mosque.

If the United States would have actually identified an enemy after 9/11, Pelosi would be aiding and abetting it by all clear standards. This is actually a new low even for her. HERE is the link to the Washington Times article.

Back on August 10th, I compared Michael Bloomberg to French traitor Philippe Petain. We can now make the same comparison with Nancy Pelosi.
