Is World War II still being fought?

In 2007, President George W. Bush spoke at the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C. and was introduced by the mosque's director; the latter had a history that included time spent as a representative of an organization that has enabled Al-Qaeda. This was also the same mosque at which Bush spoke six days after 9/11/01 with Nihad Awad - Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) - at his side.

Before delving into the history of the Islamic Center of Washington of Washington, DC, consider the Ground Zero mosque for a moment. It was named 'Cordoba House' and the name was changed as opposition to the mosque grew and people began to learn more about the symbolic significance of the initial word choice, which was a city in Spain.

...the Christian city was conquered by Muslims around 711, its inhabitants slaughtered or enslaved. The original mosque of Cordoba—the namesake of the Ground Zero mosque—was built atop, and partly from the materials of, a Christian church. Modern day Muslims are well aware of all this. Such is the true—and ominous—legacy of Cordoba. 

More pointedly, throughout Islam's history, whenever a region was conquered, one of the first signs of consolidation was/is the erection of a mosque atop the sacred sites of the vanquished: the pagan Ka'ba temple in Arabia was converted into Islam's holiest site, the mosque of Mecca; the al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third holiest site, was built atop Solomon's temple in Jerusalem; the Umayyad mosque was built atop the Church of St. John the Baptist; and the Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque upon the conquest of Constantinople.

With that as a premise, shouldn't Americans take a second look at the motivation behind the Islamic Center of Washington, DC? If Islamic fundamentalists were to follow the formula of their forefathers and wanted to construct a symbol of future conquest, wouldn't they seek to do so at the heart of the Capital of the country that won the war?

Check out this excerpt from the history page of the mosque's website:

The Foundation’s membership quickly grew to include representatives from every Islamic nation in the world and American citizens. They all supported the Foundation’s appeal for funds. They managed to raise enough money that enabled them to purchase the land that the Center sits on now on Washington’s “Embassy Row”. They purchased the land on April 30, 1946, and laid the cornerstone on January 11, 1949.

Take note of those two dates in bold. Generally, when people think of the defeated axis of enemies in World War II, Japan, Italy, and Nazi Germany come to mind but the Nazis had an ally that was never defeated. In fact, that ally never stopped fighting; that ally was the Muslim Brotherhood. Again, if one accepts the notion that symbolism in Islam is very important, consider the date the land was purchased. Adolf Hitler's death occurred one year earlier, on April 30, 1945. Via History Learning Site:

None of the bunker’s survivors heard the shot that killed Hitler. At 15.15 on April 30th, Bormann, Goebbels, Heinz Linge, Hitler’s valet, Otto Gunshce and Artur Axmann, Head of the Hitler Youth, entered Hitler’s sitting room. Gunsche and Linge wrapped the body of Hitler in a blanket and carried it to the Reich Chancellery garden.

Coincidence? Possibly. How about January 11, 1949 - the date the cornerstone was laid. That date could be significant.

Tuesday 11 Raby` al-awal 1368 A.H. Laying the cornerstone on Jan 11, 1949 in the Islamic calendar is a day prior to the 12th day of Rabi-al-Awwal, which marks the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, but keep in mind that Saudi Arabia is 10 hours ahead of the United States. While it was the 11th in the United States, it was very possibly the 12th in Saudi Arabia.

On June 28, 1957, President Dwight Eisenhower was on-hand to dedicate the mosque. Click here or on the image below for the video of a news report of the event at the time.



During his speech, Eisenhower said the following:

The countries which have sponsored and built this Islamic Center have for centuries contributed to the building of civilization. With their traditions of learning and rich culture, the countries of Islam have added much to the advancement of mankind. Inspired by a sense of brotherhood, common to our innermost beliefs, we can here together reaffirm our determination to secure the foundations of a just and lasting peace.

"Brotherhood" is indeed an interesting word choice. Eisenhower ended his speech thusly:

Our country has long enjoyed a strong bond of friendship with the Islamic nations. .  .  . Under the American Constitution, .  .  . this Center, this place of worship, is as welcome as could be any similar edifice of any religion. Indeed, America would fight with her whole strength for your right to have your own church and worship according to your own conscience. Without this, we would be something else than what we are.

Doesn't the "conscience" of the Muslim "Brotherhood" involve destroying America from within? Yes, it does. President George W. Bush returned to the Washington, DC mosque for the RE-dedication ceremony in 2007, fifty years after Eisenhower did it originally. The man who introduced Bush in the clip below is the mosque's director, Abdullah M. Khouj, who began his tenure there in 1984. According to the Weekly Standard's Stephen Schwartz, Saudi officials took over the mosque in 1983 and Khouj was subsequently appointed. Khouj has been a representative for the Muslim World League (MWL):

Khouj represented the Muslim World League (MWL), founded in Saudi Arabia in 1962 as an international agency for the propagation of Wahhabism. In 2006, relief branches of the MWL in Southeast Asia would be designated by the U.S. Treasury as financing fronts for al Qaeda. In addition, Khouj was admitted to the United States as a diplomat, allegedly serving as an attaché at the Saudi Embassy, but actually dedicated to advancing the most radical interpretation of Islam in history.

The MWL is significant for many reasons but one such reason is its involvement as the umbrella organization for the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA). This is the same IMMA where Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin, worked as an assistant editor for at least twelve years until leaving in 2009, to work for Clinton at the State Department. The man responsible for launching the IMMA was none other than Abdullah Omar Naseef, who was the Secretary General of the MWL when Khouj became the Director of the Washington mosque. The Saudi Manifesto, reveals the MWL / IMMA connection:

"It [Muslim Minority Affairs] will work under the umbrella of the Muslim World League (MWL) and the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) and World Association of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and others."

Remember, Naseef also founded the Rabita Trust, an entity that was headed by Al-Qaeda founder Wael Hamza Julaidan and identified by the U.S. Treasury Department in October of 2001 as a terrorist organization. If Naseef was commissioned by the Saudi Royal family to found the IMMA, it would seem to indicate a willingness on the part of the Brotherhood and the Saudis to work together in some respects, the furthering of Islam in foreign lands, for example.

That's what the IMMA is all about.

It's important to remember that Khouj - the man who introduced Bush at the Washington, D.C. mosque re-dedication ceremony - was a representative of the MWL at the time of his being named director, according to Schwartz. The Rabita Trust was founded in 1988 by Naseef, four years after Khouj became the Director of the mosque.

Before watching the video of Bush's 2007 speech inside the mosque, consider that less than six years earlier, the Rabita Trust had been shut down by the Bush administration as a "Global Terrorist Entity". As a representative of the MWL, Khouj ultimately worked for an organization whose Secretary General from 1983-1993 was none other than Al-Qaeda financier, Abdullah Omar Naseef.

Note at the 1:15 mark in the video below that Bush references Eisenhower's speech from 1957 and quotes the former president. Said Bush:

"He (Eisenhower) asked that together we commit ourselves 'to peaceful progress of all men under one God.'"

This had not been the first time that Bush had conflated Islam and Christianity. William Murray, of the Religious Freedom Coalition chronicled his experiences in the days after 9/11 and wrote the following about what he witnessed on 9/14/01 at the National Cathedral, where then head of the Muslim Brotherhood's Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) - Muzammil Siddiqi - was in attendance:

Our Christian President had bowed his head to prayers offered to other gods, prayers that may have been for those who would destroy our nation and enslave our children to an alien religion. At that moment the hand of protection of the true God was removed from our nation.

According to Schwartz, the mosque was built at the urging of various Muslim groups, to include the Turks. In 1998, before becoming Prime Minister of Turkey - Recep Tayyip Erdoğan - quoted from the following poem during a speech:

"The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers..."

Go figure. Today, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamist government of Turkey seem to be working together.

And World War II may have a new front.

Video: Police Slam Liberal Whacko to Ground, Arrest Code Pink Leader

This is sheer awesomeness. Far left whacko Adam Kokesh, Code Pink leader Medea Benjamin, and a slew of other lefties were preparing to protest inside the Jefferson Memorial. Before carrying through with their 'dance protest,' they were warned by a Park Police officer that they would be arrested if they performed any such dance or protested inside. Immediately after issuing that warning, Media Benjamin and some whacko intentionally slow danced right behind the officer, who proceeded to bump into them and then arrest both.

Kokesh and the other protesters who made clear that their level of emotional maturity isn't much beyond that of toddlers, just kept on dancing. Sit back and enjoy.

These cops need a raise.

EXPLOSIVE: WHITE HOUSE INSIDER STILL TALKING

It started back in early September. An anonymous blogger going by the name 'Ulsterman' posted a two part interview with a man claiming to have been a White House insider who had recently left his position. The insider, a Democrat who bought into the 'Hope and Change' in 2008 had buyer's remorse and spoke of a president who was completely detached and disinterested in the duties of being the president. I posted those first two exchanges HERE.

h/t to Barrackaid #13 for sending me some additional links from Ulsterman who, unbeknownst to me, has continued his interviews with the insider and they are explosive. CLICK HERE for a complete roundup of the interviews conducted by Ulsterman. They are utterly fascinating and have become increasingly credible based on how events the Insider talks about have actually transpired as he / she said they would.

Events that have transpired since the earlier interviews have been bolstering the credibility of the source. That's the good news. The bad news? The condition of the president's mental state appears to be coming more and more into question.

One of the themes in the interviews is that Rahm Emanuel was forced out after falling out of favor with Michelle Obama, Valerie Jarrett, and to perhaps a lesser extent David Axelrod. According to the insider, Michelle objected vehemently to Rahm's desire for the administration to drop the health care fight to focus on the economy. Obama's inner circle - according the insider - has basically been reduced to Michelle and Valerie.

Jarrett's leapfrogging over Emanuel to be so close to Obama may explain why Emanuel was so eager to make a deal with Blagojevich to get Jarrett Obama's old Senate seat.

INSANE: CAT STEVENS PERFORMS AT 'RESTORING SANITY' RALLY

Billed as the 'Restoring Sanity' rally, comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert actually provided a venue that only served to further INsanity. Case in point is who performed there - none other than the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, Yusuf Islam. In 1989, Islam called for the death of British author Salman Rushdie, whose book at the time 'Satanic Verses' garnered a call for this death, courtesy of the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Here is Salman Rushdie in 2007 writing about Yusuf Islam / Cat Stevens via the Telegraph:

Cat Stevens wanted me dead.

However much Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam may wish to rewrite his past, he was neither misunderstood nor misquoted over his views on the Khomeini fatwa against The Satanic Verses (Seven, April 29).

In an article in The New York Times on May 22, 1989, Craig R Whitney reported Stevens/Islam saying on a British television programme "that rather than go to a demonstration to burn an effigy of the author Salman Rushdie, 'I would have hoped that it'd be the real thing'.''

He added that "if Mr Rushdie turned up at his doorstep looking for help, 'I might ring somebody who might do more damage to him than he would like. I'd try to phone the Ayatollah Khomeini and tell him exactly where this man is'.''

In a subsequent interview with The New York Times, Mr Whitney added, Stevens/Islam, who had seen a preview of the programme, said that he "stood by his comments".

Let's have no more rubbish about how "green" and innocent this man was.

There was something very disturbing about this performance... An added touch of irony - as if you needed one - was Ozzie Osbourne singing 'Crazy Train' at a 'Restoring Sanity' rally.

PHOTOS: TURNOUT AT THE 'ONE NATION' RALLY

This is getting to be comical. In so many ways, this 'One Nation' rally was the perfect metaphor. If the turnout at this rally compared to the turnout at the 'Restore Honor' rally is a foreshadowing of voter turnout on November 2nd, many of the Tea Party candidates that are currently in tight races - or even behind - have reason to be hopeful. Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell would certainly benefit.

Another metaphor is found in the blatant lie that was told by Joe Madison about the crowd size at 'One Nation' compared to the numbers at 'Restore Honor.' Well, perhaps "blatant" is the wrong word. "Deceptively blatant" might be better. Watch as Madison says a satellite image shows there were more people at the 'One Nation' rally than were there on 'August 29th.' Technically, he didn't lie because Beck's rally was on August 28th but you get the point.

Perhaps this is why Madison felt compelled to add that little twist. Check out these pictures, one from August 28th and the other from October 2nd. While it's not known what time of day each photos was taken, check out the reflections of the trees in the water. It appears the sun was about in the same location based on those reflections. Madison may have even been wrong about the 29th. There may have been more people the day after the August 28th rally than were there ON the October 2nd rally.

THE LEFT'S 'ONE NATION' PROTEST IN RESPONSE TO THE 'RESTORE HONOR' RALLY

On October 2nd, the socialists of America held a protest in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. - an obvious attempt to match or exceed the turnout of the 'Restore America' rally on August 28th. How'd they do? Uh, not so good. In fact, even POLITICO and the AP couldn't bring themselves to omit the very obvious reality that the 'One Nation' rally came up far short of expectations or matching Glenn Beck's rally in August.

Organizers said they were expecting more than 100,000 to attend the rally. Thousands of people packed the area around the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, but based on an unscientific estimate there were significantly fewer people than when Fox News’ Glenn Beck hosted the conservative “Restoring Honor” rally there Aug. 28. At that rally, attendees were forced to stand shoulder to shoulder the entire length of the Reflecting Pool.

Another very important distinction is that the August 28th rally consisted of people who were not provided transportation from Unions / taxpayer dollars to get there, unlike the socialist rally.

While on the Ed Schultz radio show on September 29th, Teamster president Gregory Floyd discussed the One Nation march scheduled to take place this Saturday in Washington, D.C. Floyd told the audience that it would be mandatory for his 20,000 members to attend the protest.

IS OBAMA 'LOSING IT'? YES, SAYS ALLEGED 'INSIDER'

This makes for absolutely fascinating reading. An individual claiming to be an insider in the Obama White House and formerly its campaign and transition teams reinforces much of what many Americans have been strongly suspecting about Obama based, in part, on his multiple vacations.

The NewsFlavor website has posted an interview between a man by the name of Ulsterman and an alleged 'Insider' who was exposed to Team Obama for some time. Here are some excerpts:

When I asked this insider if the media gave candidate Obama an assist throughout his campaign, it elicits a sly smile. Sure – we definitely had people in the media on our side. Absolutely. We went so far as to give them specific ideas for coverage. The ones who took that advice from the campaign were granted better access, and Obama was the biggest story in 2008, so yeah, that gave us a lot of leverage.

How about those suspicions we have about Obama's obsession with Fox?

But after Obama was sworn in, things began to change? Almost immediately. Obama loved to campaign. He clearly didn’t like the work of being President though, and that attitude was felt by the entire White House staff within weeks after the inauguration. Obama the tireless, hard working candidate became a very tepid personality to us. And the few news stories that did come out against him were the only things he seemed to care about. He absolutely obsesses over Fox News. For being so successful, Barack Obama is incredibly thin-skinned. He takes everything very personally.

Hillary?

What about Hillary Clinton? Obama is scared to death of Hillary. He doesn’t trust her – obsesses over her almost as much as he does Fox News. He respects her though, which might be why he fears her so much as well. He talks the game, but when it comes down to it, she has played the game on a far tougher level than he has, and Obama knows that.

With an unnamed source, this type of reportage should be taken with a grain of salt but the claims made here do seem to match and explain the behaviors the public is exposed to when it comes to Obama.

VIDEO CONTRAST: BECK RALLY VS. OBAMA INAUGURATION

Wanna hint? No contest. First up, video from after Glenn Beck's 8/28 rally at the Lincoln Memorial. Take note of the condition of the mall. No one seen picking up trash, perhaps because the people who attended exercised personal responsibility for their own while respecting the venue? Contrast that with the video - at bottom - of the aftermath of the 2009 Obama inauguration. To be fair, the first video was shot near the WWII Memorial, which is not where most of the attendees were but there's still an obvious difference.

Not that it would matter all that much but it would kind of be the proverbial cherry on top if the clean-up crew at the inauguration were compensated with taxpayer dollars.

FAIR CONFERENCE: DAY 2 PHOTOS

It was a full docket of guests today as well. During Lynn's interview with Tom Tancredo, Lynn mentioned that as he and I walked the streets of D.C. that "Barrack pointed out that buildings like the FTC, Dept of the Interior, etc. were all money pits and a waste of taxpayer money." Tancredo's response: "Barrack is right." Needless to say, I will be pulling that clip and incorporating it into my show intro.

This morning, the Lynn Woolley Show broadcast live from the 2nd floor of the Phoenix Park Hotel. FAIR puts on an extremely organized and sound event, culminating in the "We the People" Immigration Reform Awards Ceremony & Reception. Glenn Beck received one of the words and accepted via video.

Energy level high all day with one low point. After walking one hour to see Archie Bunker's chair at the American History Museum, we learned that the floor on which it sits is being renovated so no picture. Although, I was able to make a comment about Obama at one of the workers and her reaction told me all I needed to know - she's a fan.

PHOTOS: WASHINGTON, D.C.

I'm in Washington, D.C. this week with Lynn Woolley for the FAIR "Hold Their Feet to the Fire" conference and had a chance to check out the landmarks today. One of the most memorable moments of the sightseeing was when two young ladies from Turkey stopped us to take their picture in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

Their english was somewhat broken but they did NOT need signs in their own language to understand what to do or where to go. They were legitimately interested in the history of this nation. They are exchange students who are heading back to Turkey next week and if they are interested in becoming American citizens, I say we fast track them because they really seem to admire our ideals.

Lynn and I will be on radio row Tuesday, the 15th and Wednesday, the 16th from 9am-Noon EST. Joining us at 9:15am on Tuesday is talkshow host Roger Hedgecock. Brigitte Gabriel will be with us at 10:05am. Ira Mehlman and Robert Rector will on the show as well.

VIDEO: CNN REPORTER DROWNED OUT BY PROTESTERS

A CNN reporter at the September 12th protest in Washington, D.C. was having a difficult time being heard over shouts of protesters. Chants like, "TELL THE TRUTH!" and, "GO HOME" were trumped in a big way when the chants of, "GLENN BECK! GLENN BECK! GLENN BECK!" started. An obvious consequence was the hottest show in cable news getting some free advertising on a competing cable channel (being kind) that has been quite derelict when it comes to the journalistic profession.

Providing even more poetic justice for Beck is that he used to have a show on CNN's Headline News and left presumably, because he couldn't do the show he wanted to do amidst a sea of Obamautomatons.

I'd say that like the Steelers cutting Johnny Unitas or the Falcons cutting Brett Favre, CNN is regretting the loss of Beck except something tells me pride / ideology is preventing that admission from taking place (despite Beck torching CNN with TD after TD after TD). Glenn Beck is a recovering alcoholic who didn't get better until he hit rock bottom and told the truth. In that regard, he's already ahead of CNN.

By the way, see if you can spot the sign that says, "JOE WILSON FOR TUTH CZAR".

SHOCKING VIDEO: NBC REPORT ACTUALLY SOMEWHAT FAIR!

This video report on today's protesters at the Washington mall was over three minutes and the whole time I watched it, I awaited the Leftwing shoe to drop with a completely misrepresented or omitted fact. It didn't.

I never thought I'd say this but..........not bad, NBC. Any chance you can provide that long needed intervention to MSNBC?

VIDEO: OOPS! ACORN BEING EXPOSED AS APORN

Yesterday, we learned that a woman posing as a prostitue was able to get ACORN employees in a Baltimore office to help her and her pimp (also a plant) avoid paying their taxes while classifying her occupation as a "performing artist". There was plenty more. I reported on it HERE.

Now we can officially say that the problem is not unique to Baltimore as the same couple has managed to do the same thing at an ACORN office in Washintong, D.C.

FOX NEWS reports:

One day after two ACORN officials in Baltimore were fired for offering to help a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute to engage in child prostitution and a series of tax crimes, another secretly shot videotape has surfaced that shows the same couple getting similar advice from ACORN officers in Washington.

The newly released videotape, shot on July 25, shows ACORN staffers explaining to the pair how they can hide the woman's professed work — prostitution — and get a loan that will help them establish a brothel.

ACORN quickly fired the two employees implicated in the Baltimore office as if trying to make the problem go away (no investigation apparently). What does a similar culture at another office tell us?

A systemic problem perhaps? Management problem?
