EXPLOSIVE: MAKER OF ACORN VIDEOS DOES IT AGAIN

The maker of the multiple ACORN videos from last year that crippled the organization, James O'Keefe has certainly fired a couple of duds since then but his latest work, which exposes the New Jersey Teachers Association as engaging in despicable behavior and apparent voter fraud, lands another haymaker. If this video report isn't as big as the ACORN videos - in some ways, it may be bigger - it's definitely a close second. It also serves as the quintessential contrast between what the mainstream media ISN'T doing and what citizen journalists ARE doing - actual journalism.

Gov. Chris Christie comments on 'teachers unions gone wild'

As the nice little cherry on top, check out this interview of James O'Keefe by an anchor with a local Fox affiliate. The anchor is obviously unhinged for no apparent reason as O'Keefe calmly explains his side. The most obvious reason for the anchor's demeanor is that as a paid professional journalist, he got thoroughly SKUNKED AND PUNKED by members of the population he is charged with serving.

When you factor in the level of embarrassment this man must feel, it's actually kind of easy to understand, though not excuse, his indignation.

VIDEO: O'KEEFE GOES AFTER THE CENSUS

From the guy who took down ACORN - James O'Keefe - we see courtesy of another one of his video expose's that the U.S. Census is more concerned with pleasing those in its employ than it is in paying for an honest day's work. O'Keefe, who got a job with the U.S. Census discovered that his bosses were much more frivolous with taxpayer dollars than private sector business owners would be with their own.

Welcome to the inherent problems of socialism. The upside for the Census workers is that they think their bosses are "cool". The downside for taxpayers is that they're getting ripped off. Not only is O'Keefe informed that he is to fill out his time sheet before his work is completed but he is dismissed early without having to correct his time sheet. He then complains, as a conscientious worker, only to find several levels of management all too eager to tell him to sweep his concerns under the rug.

Subsequent to the above video being released, O'Keefe and Breitbart appeared on ABC's Good Morning America. Watch as George Stephanopolous refers to O'Keefe as an "activist" instead of as a "journalist". Don't tell anyone but the mainstream media is like the wicked witch of the west and doesn't know it's drenched with water.

BEN STEIN WITH INTERESTING COMPARISON

Ben Stein has a very interesting comparison in the American Spectator today. In one corner, the Black Panthers, who intimidated voters in Philadelphia during the 2008 presidential election. They were charged and the plaintiffs inside the DOJ had won a default judgment when the Panthers didn't respond to the complaint. Eric Holders DOJ dropped all charges and continues to stonewall efforts to determine why.

In the other corner is James O'Keefe, the young self-proclaimed journalist who was one half of the tandem that busted ACORN with undercover video last summer. O'Keefe was arrested along with three others inside Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu's office last week while allegedly wiretapping or tampering with the senator's phones. I must admit that in the days following O'Keefe's arrest, I found myself thinking he went too far and probably got himself into trouble he asked for.

However, in light of the comparison between he and the Black Panthers, along with it becoming apparent that O'Keefe may not have done anything illegal, Stein's piece is quite interesting:

During the last Presidential election, a gang of men calling themselves Black Panthers showed up at a polling place in Michigan. They threatened any voter who did not vote for Barack Obama. This was witnessed and documented. (I am suspicious of their involvement with the real Black Panthers, whom I knew well in New Haven, who had a little more finesse along with many, many faults.)

The bullying was barely reported in the media. Even though it is an unequivocal violation of voting rights laws, it was decided by Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, not to prosecute the case at all. Holder is the legal genius who thought of holding the trial for the self-styled master mind of 9/11, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, in downtown Manhattan instead of in a military setting. He has recently backtracked on that.

A few days ago, four young conservatives posed as telephone repairmen and entered the branch office of Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana in New Orleans. Their goal was to check to see if the phone system in the office was working. The men, under the leadership of a young media impresario named James O'Keefe, were querying why constituents of Sen. Landrieu had been unable to register negative feelings about Obamacare on the Senator's phone line. They had been told that perhaps the phones were out of order.

If it comes out that O'Keefe was unjustly skewered by the liberal media and was slandered / libeled after having done nothing illegal, he should sue.

If not, he should face justice, as should the Black Panthers who broke the law in Philadelphia.

VIDEO: THE ACORN SONG - MUST LISTEN

If you've seen any of the Acorn sting videos by James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, you've probably heard excerpts of this song played at the beginning and the end of the sting videos. It's a song by Anthony Dini called, "Ridiculous" and it's very catchy. Of course, the best part is Obama's dancing with Ellen thrown in at the end.

VIDEO: NEW ACORN STING VIDEO - PHILADELPHIA

This one introduces an entirely new dimension to all of these stings. Let's see, first Washington, D.C. then Baltimore, the Bronx, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and now Philadelphia.

Frankly, what was caught on tape in Philly is no more outlandish than the others that have been released. The new element introduced here is the juxtaposition of what was caught on tape with what ACORN officials, including the woman in this video, said about the visit.

The woman in the video is Katherine Conway Russell and as is clearly apparent, she behaved very similarly to the ACORN reps in the other videos - willing to help a prostitute. The problem is that when the ACORN sting videos made the news, Russell along with ACORN Executive Bertha Lewis and others went on television saying that the reason the Philadelphia sting video isn't being shown is because O'Keefe and Giles weren't successful and were quickly ushered out of the building.

That is NOT what this video shows.

Caveat: You will notice that the audio of Katherine speaking is absent until the video stops due to a dead battery. I'm assuming the reason for this is a legal one. Then again, perhaps to increase the tease factor.

BREITBART SLAMS PODESTA IN OP ED

I found this one particularly interesting in light of Bill Clinton's contention that the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" that Obama is supposedly facing is nothing like what Bubba had to deal with. Breitbart points out that Obama and Clinton had lunch in New York on the very day(s) that the ACORN video exposing the Brooklyn office was making the rounds.

Does anyone think the president and the former president were unaware that the city in which they were dining was mesmerized by the ACORN scandal - especially since ACORN had bragged that its employees had kicked Mr. O'Keefe and Ms. Giles out of their New York office?

Then, a few paragraphs later.....

No one in the morally superior media world has asked, why did Mr. Obama have lunch with Mr. Clinton that day? So let me take a guess, and it seems like an obvious answer. Mr. Obama, under siege by a video-a-day expose that was exposing the Democratic Party to an avalanche of consequences (ACORN defunded in the House and Senate, ACORN delinked from the census, etc.), needed advice from the last president to navigate through a major political scandal.

If any president has experience in dealing with scandals, it would be #42. Who said Barack lacked good judgment?

The real point of BREITBART'S PIECE is to shed light on former Clinton Chief of Staff and Chairman of Obama's Presidential transition team, John Podesta. Podesta, who heads the Center for American Progress has been tasked with leading an investigation into ACORN, which doesn't seem to be going the way most would expect according to Breitbart:

Since Mr. Podesta was appointed to investigate ACORN, the only thing investigated has been the investigators, Mr. O'Keefe, Ms. Giles and the publisher of the journalism behind it, yours truly.

And for those of you who at times grow weary of the fight....

The left is betting that 2009 is 1998 again and that the media will help them out like last time. Mr. Obama is betting that Mr. Clinton's 1998 strategy and his resources can extricate him from this growing mess. But 2009 has a new set of circumstances, new technologies and new citizen journalists that can now hold the mainstream media in check for its naked partisanship.

Breitbart's point that Podesta is consciously leading the media to make the story about O'Keefe, Giles, and himself is well taken considering that Podesta attended ACORN's 39th anniversary party.

ACORN SUING HIDDEN CAMERA TEAM

This one comes straight from the Unmitigated Gall department. Yes, after the Baltimore ACORN office fired both Tonja Thompson and Shera Williams for offering their help to James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, who posed as a pimp and prostitute, they have filed a lawsuit against.......James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles.

Acorn CEO, Bertha Lewis even expressed what in hindsight was fake gratitute toward O'Keefe and Giles. Adding another perplexing dimension is that the lawsuit even cites the distress caused to both Thompson and Williams:

The two employees seen in the video were fired after it was posted online. The lawsuit says the employees, Tonja Thompson and Shera Williams, suffered "extreme emotional distress."

I have a question for Bertha Lewis. Bertha, if you're so concerned about the emotional well-being of Thompson and Williams, then why did you FIRE THEM when they were most emotionally distressed?! Did you think that would make them feel better?

Of course, Maryland's State Attorney is a lady named PATRICIA JESSAMY, who is a huge Obama supporter. Here is a video of her at a DNC party before last year's election.



We got a hint that O'Keefe might be prosecuted earlier this month when the WASHINGTON EXAMINER reported on Jessamy's past, which included going after Linda Tripp when she exposed Lewinsky-gate.

If any of this sounds vaguely familiar, it should because back in the Clinton days, the Maryland State's Prosecutor prosecuted Linda Tripp for recording Monica Lewinsky's description of her sexual encounter with President Bill Clinton.

Let's also keep in mind (for additional irony) that Jessamy is also a supposed advocate for child abuse victims.

Among the items listed on Jessamy's extensive resume of accomplishments is that she is president of the Baltimore Child Abuse Center. She also lists her prior membership on the Governor's Council on Child Abuse and Neglect from 1995 to 1998!

If Jessamy is so concerned about abused children, why isn't she outraged over the willingness of Thompson and Williams to help a pimp and a prostitute smuggle girls from El Salvador between the ages of 13-15 into this country so they could work out of a brothel?

VIDEO: JON STEWART SLAMS ACORN AND MEDIA

Yes, you read that headline right. Jon Stewart from Comedy Central slammed both ACORN and the media that didn't uncover their willingness to aid and abet prostitutes and pimps. The truly bigger story within the story here is that Stewart's demographic is not only substantial but it's made up of younger voters who reject Fox News, conservative blogs, and talk radio.

In addition, many of them literally get their dose of news from Stewart, who provides a comedic leftist spin to the majority of his stories. His audience is somewhat politically malleable based on Stewart's take on things. He could have defended ACORN or made the story about the "paranoid right".

He didn't and he should be commended. He slammed ACORN and he slammed the media (one day after Charlie Gibson said he didn't know anything about the scandal).

Laughter is a very disarming thing. Stewart disarms his audience with laughter every day. It garners him some credibility among them. He expresses a view in between laughs and people pay attention. Whether that view is right or wrong is not important. What is important is that those views are internalized and digested by most loyal and regular members of his audience.

While fewer people watch Stewart than do Fox News, this is HUGE. Stewart may not even realize how much good he did by being intellectually honest on this story. I don't say this often but Jon Stewart, thank you.

ACORN DEFENSE: REVERSE STING

This is quite the defense, indeed. As James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles posed as a pimp and prostitute respectively, they recorded their conversation with an employee of the San Bernardino, CA ACORN office named Tresa Kaelke.

During that conversation, Kaelke (among other things) admitted that she shot her husband dead. The SAN BERNARDINO SUN now reports that the head of ACORN in California (not the San Bernardino office) is saying the joke is on O'Keefe and Giles because Kaelke knew what they were doing and was just playing along. No, seriously.

California ACORN head organizer Amy Schur said the video is a gross misrepresentation of what actually happened.

"In this video, there are two actors who come into our office and who were messing with us. And our employee was messing with them," Schur said.

Yes, this is the argument put forward not by the head of a local ACORN office or regional office but the head of ACORN in California. Do you find yourself wondering if this group is having difficulty getting the word out to all of its officials to shut their mouths? Making this defense even weaker is what O'Keefe and Giles encountered at ACORN offices 3000 miles away from the one in San Bernardino.

It gets better though. The San Bernardino Sun reports that Tresa Kaelke is now willing to sign an affidavit stating that she had the upper hand in the exchange:

Schur said that Kaelke will sign an affidavit stating that she was not seriously entertaining the idea of cooperating with an apparent attempt to establish a house of prostitution.

Even if we're to believe a defense a child would scoff at, why wouldn't Kaelke send the couple away or call the cops instead of putting hereself in a position of having to sign an affidavit?

That's a level of stupid that will be difficult to beat.

VIDEO: ACORN AGAIN LOWERS BAR ON ITSELF

This time, the location is San Bernardino, California. James O'Keefe as the pimp and Hannah Giles as the prostitute who pretends to want to open a brothel with 13 teenage girls from El Salvador.

In the video, you see them talking to an ACORN employee named "Teresa", who confesses that Heidi Fleiss is her "hero". You also see a guy sitting next to Giles, who appears to be an ACORN employee. Teresa then admits to lobbying congress and even identifies congressmen and senators by name.

It doesn't end there. Although Teresa suggests that the couple should get a meeting with the bank president (who was certain to take a liking to Hannah), that's not the worst of it.

When the story of Hannah's abusive pimp is brought up, Teresa admits (ON CAMERA) to murdering her abusive husband.

I wonder if Charlie Gibson will know about this one.

VIDEO: APORN BUSTED AGAIN! THIS TIME IN NYC!

After going to the Bronx ACORN office and finding it locked up, James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles went to the Brooklyn ACORN office and spoke with three of the office's employees:

Tara - Housing

This time, O'Keefe received even more interesting responses from the ACORN employees. Volda Albert actually told him to hide his illegal prostitution earnings in a "tin" and bury it in the back yard.
