HARRY REID: OBAMA SPEECH AN OLIVE BRANCH

This guy is beyond shameless. The notion that Obama's speech was an olive branch is beyond skewed. I'm not exactly sure how calling out people with whom you disagree with can be considered a peace offering anyway.

Not only that but Obama came across as angry and unyielding while calling Sarah Palin a liar and accused talk radio of causing his problems. Quintessential victimization.

The ultimate irony for me was that to bolster his argument, Reid said, "He (Obama) even took a page out of President Bush's book and indicated some of the things he'd be studying."

Uh, Harry, if you believe that Bush was a "liar" and a "loser", why would you point to Obama as having taken a page out his book? Also, note the implication of Reid's words about Bush. He invokes the name of a president he views as extremely divisive in support of his argument that Obama was extending an "olive branch".

Adds an entirely new dimension to Joe Wilson accusing Obama of lying.

VIDEO: CASS SUNSTEIN HEARTS ANIMALS

In a word, Inexplicable. Obama's newly confirmed Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein actually compares the plight of animals to that of black slaves from the 18th and 19th centuries. You will find no better example of how the left's words and rhetoric are exactly the opposite of what they mean.

How on earth can anyone call the equating of animals with humans a "progressive" idea? Uh, sounds a little like a "retrograde" idea to me.

Aaron Klein at WORLD NET DAILY has a story about how Sunstein appears to revere the views of an 19th century writer named Jeremy Bentham, who is considered an animal rights pioneer. Check out this written quote from Sunstein in 2002:

"I suggest that Bentham and Mill were not wrong to offer an analogy between current uses of animals and human slavery,"

What's next, Cass? Reparations paid to all dogs because of people like me who have canines we keep penned in our back yard when they're not inside enjoying the air conditioning, good treatment, warm beds, clean water and food? I know they enjoy such things because they have this ability of communicating by wagging their tails.

If you're a Christian, this notion is an overt slap on one of your already beat red cheeks.

Question: If God worked out of an office, do you think it might be a little bit more organized than this? My dog is more organized than Sunstein appears to be so maybe he does have a point. I've seen neater chicken coops. I wonder if the person on the other end of the phone is asking Cass if he remembers ever getting the TPS Report Memo.

GENESIS 9:2-3

2And the fear of you and the dread and terror of you shall be upon every beast of the land, every bird of the air, all that creeps upon the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are delivered into your hand.

3Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green vegetables and plants, I give you everything.

Sunstein's personal views and beliefs on spiritual matters notwithstanding (I don't know what they are) I simply find no way to reconcile the views expressed by Cass with the first book in Scripture without finding Sunstein in opposition to the Judeo-Christian God, Yahweh's teachings or on record as discarding the notion of Him altogether. I'd love to know his thoughts on that.

VIDEO: RARE VIDEO OF 9/11 ATTACK

NOTE: Be sure to watch both videos posted here. First, a steady camera from one block away catches the 2nd plane slamming into the WTC tower on 9/11/01. It's a front row seat with no shaking cameraman because it was setup on a balcony to capture the aftermath of the first attack.

Want some truth?



Contrast that with the initiative sponsored by Barack Obama - the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. The premise is that the best way to remember 9/11 is to perform some good deed on that day. There are a series of videos on the DAY OF SERVICE website that only serve to make people feel guilty for not "volunteering" to engage in some altruistic act.

Take note that the underlying theme consists of what's not acknowledged. In particular, those who attacked us are still plotting to do so on an even more massive scale as this group ends up putting a pleasant face on our enemies by not focusing on who they are or what they did but rather on how the evil they perpetrated caused the American people to unite.

Think of the implications of this nutty idea. Instead of using 9/11 as a day of remembrance to steele our resolve to defeat Islamic extremism, the American people are encouraged to do some good deed in remembrance of how united we were without including the reasons for the unity (the left loves to manufacture truth while eliminating critical variables). Are those who don't play along supposed to feel guilty and alienated?

Instead of making our enemies feel the pressure of a united people, we're again turning inward against each other. Not only did we err significantly after 9/11 by declaring war on a tactic instead of an actual enemy but our current president has even taken that tactic (terror) off of our enemies list.

If you thought the exploitation of Ted Kennedy's death to push Obamacare was pathetic, exploiting the evil perpetrated on 9/11 to push people into service instead of uniting us against a very real threat to our way of life is beyond the pale.

This administration has developed the reputation of being masters at misdirection and distraction. Making 9/11 a Day of Service while claiming there's no more war on terror is quintessential misdirection.

Oh, check out the introductory video on 9/11 Day of Service website. Note the music in the background. It is a song by Jack Johnson called, "Where'd all the Good People Go". In addition to the music being totally out of place, the message in it implies that if you don't play ball with the Day of Service notion, you're not good.
