Audio: Al Sharpton compares Republicans to murderous Nazis

What group of people advocates for murdering those who don't think like they do and identifies them as sub-human? Hint: they view anyone who doesn't practice their religion as "apes and pigs." Another hint: this group actually allied with the Nazis in WWII. Yeah, well Al Sharpton thinks it's Republicans.



I wonder if Sharpton ever heard of Larry Grathwohl, the man who outed Obama's colleague Bill Ayers as a man who more aptly fits such a role.

Al Sharpton Fallout: Black man in Illinois admits to beating up White Man because of Trayvon

Al Sharpton's handiwork relative to the Trayvon Martin case seems to be reaching all across the country. Thanks to him, whenever there is a black on white crime committed, people instinctively wonder if it was racially motivated based on what's going on in Sandford, FL - even if it turns out not to be the case. It now appears that a suspect in the beating of a white man in Illinois has told police that he did it because of his anger over Trayvon's killing.

Alton L. Hayes III, a west suburban man charged with a hate crime, told police he was so upset about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida that he beat up a white man early Tuesday.

Hayes and a 15-year-old Chicago boy walked up behind the 19-year-old man victim and pinned his arms to his side, police said. Hayes, 18, then picked up a large tree branch, pointed it at the man and said, “Empty your pockets, white boy.”

The two allegedly rifled through the victim’s pockets, then threw him to the ground and punched him “numerous times” in the head and back before running away, police said. Hayes and the boy are black; the victim is white.

After being arrested, Hayes told police he was upset by the Trayvon Martin case and beat the man up because he was white, Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said, citing court records.

Let's face it, if not for Sharpton and an irresponsible mainstream media eager to listen to him, Alton L. Hayes III never would have heard of Trayvon Martin. Using someone's death to justify attacking innocent people is hardly a good way to remember that person's death.

Zimmerman may have upper hand in Court for several reasons

The Al Sharptons of the world may have gotten what he wanted when George Zimmerman was arrested and charged with second degree murder but in addition to there being significant issues with the affidavit, Zimmerman may have more than one chance to prove his innocence. First, if you haven't seen it, the first video below is Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz shredding both the State Attorney Angela Corey, who decided to bypass a grand jury and charge Zimmerman with second degree murder. Here is a copy of the affidavit (via TalkLeft) Dershowitz is referring to.

Notice that Dershowitz says that Corey has a lot to answer for by submitting what he calls an irresponsible affidavit. He seems quite adamant that the judge should throw it out, in part, because any second degree murder charge typically comes with a grand jury concluding that there is no reasonable doubt of the crime taking place. Dershowitz says this affidavit doesn't even meet the threshold of probable cause.

That leads us to the judge assigned to this case. Her name is Jessica Recksiedler and she came forward this week to express concern that she may have a conflict based on the fact that her husband works for an attorney who Zimmerman had reached out to prior to settling on the one representing him now.

Well, hey, that's no conflict at all when compared to Justice Elena Kagan's conflict with Obamacare and she hasn't recused herself, but I digress.

Anyway, it's impossible to know what Recksiedler is thinking about how the case will proceed but according to the Tacoma News Tribune, Zimmerman will have the opportunity to ask the judge to rule whether the killing was justified. Due to the Stand Your Ground law, he will be able to do this with nothing but upside.

One area that sets Florida apart is the next step Zimmerman faces: With the police and prosecutor having weighed in, a judge will decide whether to dismiss the second-degree murder charge based on "stand your ground." If Zimmerman wins that stage, prosecutors can appeal. 

But in another aspect peculiar to Florida, if the appeals court sides with Zimmerman, not only will he be forever immune from facing criminal charges for shooting the 17-year-old Martin - even if new evidence or witnesses surface - he could not even be sued for civil damages by Martin's family for wrongfully causing his death.

"You get even more protection than any acquitted murderer," said Tamara Lawson, a former prosecutor who now teaches at St. Thomas School of Law in Miami. "This law seems to give more protection than any other alleged criminal could dream about."

If Zimmerman can't convince the judge of his innocence, he still can use "stand your ground" to convince jurors.

Conversely, there seems to be a degree of downside for Recksidler. If she finds Zimmerman guilty and a jury acquits him, what will that say about her motives and her politics? It's one thing to be overturned by a higher court but it's something else entirely to be overturned by a jury. If she finds Zimmerman not guilty, she could find a bunch of unfriendly feet on the front lawn of her home and a U.S. Attorney General - Eric Holder - who has already sided with Al Sharpton, not likely to help.

The main reason for Zimmerman's advantages as a defendant has to do with the 'Stand Your Ground' law in Florida. This law has been the quintessential straw man for gun control fanatics on the left. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is already using it for political advantage, as are a slew of other Democrats (Bloomberg is an IINO - Independent in Name Only).

That leads to this interesting little factoid. Did you know that two very prominent Democrats signed similar legislation when they were Governors? DHS Secretary and Obama lackey, Janet Napolitano, signed a 'Stand Your Ground' law when she was Governor of Arizona?

Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat, used her Current TV show to lambaste Stand Your Ground laws, and to blame Republicans for the existence of such laws in the first place. However, as I showed, the dirty little secret is that Granholm signed Michigan’s Stand Your Ground bill into law in 2006.

Now it’s been discovered that an even more prominent Democrat, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, signed Arizona’s Stand Your Ground bill into law while governor of that state in 2006. And it’s important to note that Napolitano didn’t sign the bill half-halfheartedly, rather, she even countered anti-gunners’ opposition in the signing.

I just can't help posting this video whenever I find it so totally relevant. This is one of those times.

Ripping the mask off: Holder's public alliance with Al Sharpton

Want proof that Eric Holder is an ideologue (as if you needed more)? His public alliance with Al Sharpton in the wake of the Trayvon Martin case about seals it. This is the perfect case study if you're looking for the exact opposite of a 'Sister Soulja' moment. If anyone has been publicly damaged by the handling of the Trayvon Martin case, it's Al Sharpton. If there's anyone that an administration official should consider radioactive, Sharpton is it.

That hasn't stopped Holder from publicly aligning with him.

Attorney General Eric Holder praised left-wing activist Rev. Al Sharpton at the opening of the National Action Network (NAN) convention on Wednesday, and also stressed that the Justice Department is conducting a thorough investigation of the fatal Trayvon Martin shooting that “will examine the facts and the law.”

Sharpton, president of NAN and host of MSNBC’s Politics Nation, has led several rallies demanding the arrest of George Zimmerman, who reportedly shot Martin on Feb. 26. On Mar. 30 in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting occurred, Sharpton pledged that his group  would “move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested.”

At the opening of NAN’s 14th annual convention in Washington, D.C., the attorney general first thanked MSNBC’s Rev. Sharpton “for your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.”

Meanwhile, white males are being beaten by black males as a direct consequence of Sharpton's actions and the actions of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP).

'Seasoned producer' fired by NBC over Zimmerman 911 edit; will not release name

The good news is that someone was fired at NBC news over the blatantly irresponsible decision to selectively edit the recording of George Zimmerman's 911 call to make him appear racist. The bad news is that NBC is refusing to name the person (something tells me we'll find out) and this act alone doesn't do anything about the insidiously dishonest and corrupt culture that exists within the mainstream media; it only further validates what clear-thinking people already know.

NBC News has fired a producer who was involved in the production of a misleading segment about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida.

The person was fired on Thursday, according to two people with direct knowledge of the disciplinary action who declined to be identified discussing internal company matters. They also declined to name the fired producer. A spokeswoman for NBC News declined to comment.

The action came in the wake of an internal investigation by NBC News into the production of the segment, which strung together audio clips in such a way that made George Zimmerman’s shooting of Mr. Martin sound racially motivated. Ever since the Feb. 26 shooting, there has been a continuing debate about whether race was a factor in the incident.

The segment in question was shown on the “Today” show on March 27. It included audio of Mr. Zimmerman saying, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”

But Mr. Zimmerman’s comments had been taken grossly out of context by NBC. On the phone with a 911 dispatcher, he actually said of Mr. Martin, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.” Then the dispatcher asked, “O.K., and this guy — is he white, black or Hispanic?” Only then did Mr. Zimmerman say, “He looks black.”

This is a perfect example of it not being ok to yell, "FIRE" in a crowded theater. It is equivalent to pouring gasoline on an already growing fire and calling attention to it while blaming someone else. It is nothing short of despicable.

The New York Times piece ends thusly:

The people with direct knowledge of the firing characterized the misleading edit as a mistake, not a purposeful act.

To that I have one question: If NewsBusters hadn't discovered the edit and someone at NBC had, would the same disciplinary actions have taken place?

Let me answer that: NO

I already posted this video once, last week, but in light of these revelations, I thought it would be worth posting again. It is 20 years old but explains quite a bit about what we're seeing in the media. Al Sharpton explains how he manipulates the media but pay particularly close attention to his former colleague, Perry McKinnon at the 4:30 mark about the antics of Sharpton being very dangerous.

78-Year-Old White Male attacked by youths shouting, 'Remember Trayvon'

A 78-year-old man walking home in Toledo, OH was attacked by several youths - both black and white - in what could be a hate crime. Not only that but they shouted, 'Remember Trayvon' while beating Dallas Watts. The Toledo Blade reports that Watts may have invoked the name 'Trayvon' first, in an attempt to diffuse the situation but it appears that racial epithets were hurled at Watts while he was being beaten.

The story of Trayvon Martin's killing has been spun by race-baiting opportunists, apparatchiks, and a sycophantic media all too eager to do their bidding. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) all fed the hatred by pushing forth a narrative that has been manufactured and false, in order to push a racial agenda. Based on the information that has come out in the days since, that's really not up for dispute.

While gasoline was being poured on the fire in Sanford courtesy of those men / groups, a white man was nearly beaten to death by two black men wielding a hammer - in the same area (Sanford) where Trayvon was killed. Suspicions remain about the motivations of those two men but maybe when their victim can be taken off life support, he can help us find out.

In the case of Dallas Watts, his assailants appear to have been fueled, in part, by the Trayvon shooting.

Mr. Watts said one of the boys delivered a single blow to the back of his head during the incident Saturday, knocking the victim to the ground.

At one point, the victim recalled being lifted from the ground so one of the boys could "drop-kick" him in the chest.

One boy, he said, put his foot on the back of the victim's neck, with another shouting, "Kill him."

While Mr. Watts was down the boys kicked him, over and over, shouting, "[Get] that white [man]. This is for Trayvon ... Trayvon lives, white [man]. Kill that white [man]," according to a police report.

Again, using the logic of the left, Sharpton and Company are guilty.

Hate fueled weekend beating says elderly man: foxtoledo.com

Two Black men Arrested for nearly beating White man to death with a Hammer... in same community where Trayvon was Killed

Two black men slightly older than Trayvon Martin pulled a 50-year-old white man from his vehicle near Sanford, FL - the same community where Trayvon was killed one month ago - and repeatedly beat him with a hammer, nearly killing him. Hate crime anyone?

A tip to Crimeline has led to the arrests of two men in a brutal beating that occurred a week ago in the Midway community east of Sanford.

Julius Ricardo Bender, 18, and Yahaziel Isaac Israel, 19, face charges of attempted first-degree murder, burglary with assault or battery and armed burglary.

The victim, a 50-year-old Winter Springs man whose name has not been released, is on life-support at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Deputies were called to the area of Lincoln Street and Beardall Avenue about 6:30 p.m. March 26 to investigate a report of a man being beaten, Seminole County Sheriff's spokeswoman Heather Smith said.

As Weasel Zippers points out, the Orlando Sentinel article does not make any reference to the race of either the assailants or the victim but does include mugshots of the two arrested men, who are clearly black.

A local news report on WFTV 9 does mention the race of the victim; he's white.

Ok, so at about the same time that the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) was putting a bounty on George Zimmerman's head; the same time that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were throwing gas on an enflaming racially tense situation in Sanford, FL; these two black men - in the same community - allegedly beat an innocent white man within an inch of his life.

Flashback to the days after the Gabrielle Giffords shooting. Within hours, the New York Times' Paul Krugman alleged that Giffords' shooting was likely a right-wing attack:

We don’t have proof yet that this was political, but the odds are that it was.

He also blamed talk radio:

You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.

As it turned out, the shooter - Jared Loughner - if he was political at all, leaned left (the Communist manifesto was listed as one of his favorite books); he also didn't listen to talk radio.

Applying Paul Krugman's standard, Sharpton and Jackson should be in handcuffs right now.

Trayvon Case: Carefully Orchestrated Media Conspiracy?

Why did the mainstream media wait for an entire month to "break" the Trayvon Martin story? Is "wait" the wrong word? Did the media need that much time to plot a strategy to, in unison, further a narrative in order to guarantee enflamed racial tensions? That question must be answered honestly; it also warrants being asked because of what we now know factually.

No one should scoff, especially in light of the video recently released by Breitbart. It includes a segment on Al Sharpton's involvement in the manufactured Tawana Brawley rape story in 1987. In that video - circa 1992 - Sharpton actually explains how he manipulates the media to his advantage. It also features an interview with a former Sharpton colleague who deserted the notorious race-baiter after it became obvious to him that Sharpton intentionally lied about the Brawley case.

The Tawana Brawley case establishes intent.

Fast forward to today. NBC news is caught intentionally pushing the narrative that feeds Sharpton's nefarious premise, relative to the shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman. That narrative is that a racist white male hunted down and shot a young black male.

NBC told this blog today that it would investigate its handling of a piece on the “Today” show that ham-handedly abridged the conversation between George Zimmerman and a dispatcher in the moments before the death of Trayvon Martin. A statement from NBC:

“We have launched an internal investigation into the editorial process surrounding this particular story.” 

Great news right there. As exposed by Fox News and media watchdog site NewsBusters, the “Today” segment took this approach to a key part of the dispatcher call:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black. 

Here’s how the actual conversation went down:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about. 

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic? 

Zimmerman: He looks black.

Here is video of an exchange between Fox's Sean Hannity and Brent Bozell in which the aforementioned discrepancy is discussed. Bozell is particularly and visibly disgusted by what NBC did. In fact, it is a bit interesting that all of this - including the video below - was posted to the Washington Post's blog.



Ok, so did Sharpton and his gaggle of race-baiters all need to help the media get on the same page so that there would be a common narrative all would echo? Is that why it took so long for the media to pounce on the story? Again, I refer you to the video posted by Breitbart.

Moreover, it's important not to forget that the mainstream media - almost universally - posted disingenuous, dated, and inaccurate photos that seemed to serve the same purpose. Again, if this was orchestrated, it would take some time to pull off.

First, here are the photos released of Trayvon and Zimmerman that only served to further what appears to be an attempt by Sharpton to "manipulate" the media. Note that the photo of Trayvon is four years old and shows him as a happy young boy. The photo of Zimmerman is a 2005 mugshot.

A more realistic and current juxtaposition of the two would be something like this:

Additionally, none other than Barack Obama inserted himself into this case when he made the point that if he had a son, "he'd look like Trayvon."

It's time the media either realizes it's been had and comes clean or continues to remain complicit in a propaganda campaign designed solely and intentionally to enflame racial tensions for some larger agenda.

One more question that needs to be answered: To what extent is the Obama administration involved in this media manipulation?

20 Year-old Video: Al Sharpton on Manipulating the Media for his advantage

This man is an utter disgrace. Here is video of Al Sharpton from twenty years ago, explaining exactly how he is able to manipulate the media in race cases. By the way, that would be the same media that is now - thanks to this video being available for every member of the liberal media to view - willfully complicit in the furtherance of Sharpton's tactics from this point forward.

Video: New Evidence shows Jesse, Al, and Barack should shut their mouths about Trayvon Martin shooting

It looks like there is shocking new evidence to come out in the Trayvon Martin case and it involves a witness who claims to have seen the entire episode. He was interviewed by the Fox affiliate in Tampa and appears to paint a picture of what happened that is completely different from the narrative being pushed by the typical race-baiters. The fact remains that Martin was unarmed but if the testimony from this witness is accurate, it points to Martin actually attacking Zimmerman.

The meme being pushed by the race-baiters is that Zimmerman was going after Martin while talking to a 911 operator, who told him not to continue. The implication - if you listen to the race baiters - is that Zimmerman kept pursuing Martin while also being the only one of the two with a gun. This witness, who would not go on camera, seems to indicate that Zimmerman listened to the 911 operator and turned back before Martin attacked him.

Again, according to this witness, Zimmerman fits the description of the person who was on the bottom of a scrum between two people and Martin fits the description of the person who was on top, attacking him. The fact remains that Zimmerman was the only person in possession of a gun so if he shot Martin, it may have been a case of excessive deadly force in response to what Martin was doing to him. That could be offset by one possibility. Was Martin going for Zimmerman's gun?

We still don't know the answers to these questions but that doesn't seem to stop the race baiters. Anyway, here is the news report from Fox's Tampa affiliate (h/t Free Republic):

We all remember when President Barack Obama was asked about the arrest of his friend and (black) professor, Henry Louis Gates. He jumped to conclusions after admitting he didn't "have all the facts" and said the "police acted stupidly." As those facts came in, we learned that the police acted lawfully and it was our president who acted stupidly by speaking without the facts he admitted he did not have. It led to the face-saving and now infamous White House beer summit. Conclusions were jumped to based almost entirely on race.



Now, after the initial reports of the Trayvon Martin shooting painted the picture of an innocent boy returning home from the store with little more than a bag of skittles, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have already assumed their roles as bomb-throwing race-baiters who love to rub raw the sores of racial discontent. Obama, who either doesn't understand the size of his pulpit or does and loves to misuse it, said that if he had a son, he'd "look just like Trayvon."

Mr. Obama should be careful because he's coming precipitously close to saying that George Zimmerman acted stupidly. Whether he did or didn't, as Obama said prior to being proven wrong in the Henry Louis Gates case, "we don't know all the facts."

One other thing to note here. Zimmerman is Hispanic.

Uh, About that whole Kwanzaa Thing....

I have a hard time believing that the Obamas don't know the truth about the origins of Kwanzaa, which is what makes their public statement about it all the more troubling. First, here is how the statement opened:

Michelle and I send our warmest wishes to all those celebrating Kwanzaa this holiday season. Today marks the beginning of the week-long celebration honoring African American heritage and culture through the seven principles of Kwanzaa -- unity, self determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

Now, how about what Kwanzaa is all about?

On December 24, 1971, the New York Times ran one of the first of many articles on a new holiday designed to foster unity among African Americans. The holiday, called Kwanzaa, was applauded by a certain sixteen-year-old minister who explained that the feast would perform the valuable service of "de-whitizing" Christmas. The minister was a nobody at the time but he would later go on to become perhaps the premier race-baiter of the twentieth century. His name was Al Sharpton and he would later spawn the Tawana Brawley hoax and then incite anti-Jewish tensions in a 1995 incident that ended with the arson deaths of seven people.

Great minds think alike. The inventor of the holiday was one of the few black "leaders" in America even worse than Sharpton. But there was no mention in the Times article of this man or of the fact that at that very moment he was sitting in a California prison. And there was no mention of the curious fact that this purported benefactor of the black people had founded an organization that in its short history tortured and murdered blacks in ways of which the Ku Klux Klan could only fantasize.

It turns out that Kwanzaa's founder, Ron Karenga was convicted of torturing two black women and sent to prison:

A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of them: "Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said."

Shockingly, much of the evidence that implicates Karenga has magically disappeared. The trial transcript no longer exists but a transcript of his sentencing hearing does.

A key issue was whether Karenga was sane. Judge Arthur L. Alarcon read from a psychiatrist's report: "Since his admission here he has been isolated and has been exhibiting bizarre behavior, such as staring at the wall, talking to imaginary persons, claiming that he was attacked by dive-bombers and that his attorney was in the next cell. … During part of the interview he would look around as if reacting to hallucination and when the examiner walked away for a moment he began a conversation with a blanket located on his bed, stating that there was someone there and implying indirectly that the 'someone' was a woman imprisoned with him for some offense. This man now presents a picture which can be considered both paranoid and schizophrenic with hallucinations and elusions, inappropriate affect, disorganization, and impaired contact with the environment."

After being sentenced in 1971, Karenga was released in 1978. He then proceeded to convert to Marxism and find a job teaching college students at California State University:

Profiting from the absence of memory, he remade himself as Maulana Ron Karenga, went into academics, and by 1979 he was running the Black Studies Department at California State University in Long Beach.

As the Obama's say, Happy Kwanzaa!

Newt Played Footsie with Al Sharpton; he Just got Kicked

It appears Newt has himself a new problem on par with his decision to sit on a love seat with Nancy Pelosi and advocate for help against man-made climate change. In 2009, Gingrich toured the country with Al Sharpton and championed Sharpton's 'leadership.' Recently, Gingrich made some comments about the environment poor children in America are raised in. Sharpton didn't like it and basically called Newt a race-baiter. Sharpton also brought up their work together in 2009.

Based on Newt's decision to work with Sharpton in the first place, he deserves every bit of this.

Oh, and for good measure, Newt called MSNBC during Sharpton's show and wished the host a Happy Birthday on live television earlier this year. If he did so to win favor with Sharpton, it appears that was, as they say, an 'Epic Fail.'

Video: Al Sharpton Does it Again, Thinks 'Galileo' is Three Syllables

There was a downside to MSNBC carrying last night's debate I hadn't considered. It meant that MSNBC commentators would be on-hand afterward to analyze it. Of course, that roster now includes Al Sharpton, who completely mispronounced Galileo's name. Earlier in the debate, Rick Perry made reference to Galileo while defending his stance on man-made global warming. After the debate, Sharpton expressed his apoplexy over Perry invoking the name by referring to him as 'Galeo.'

Video: Another Al Sharpton Train Wreck on MSNBC

The antics going on over at MSNBC might just grow ratings, in a 'train wreck' sort of way. Al Sharpton may draw eyeballs not because he's good at what he does but because the odds that he will look foolish continue to go up. In this clip, Sharpton's attempt at theatrics goes awry when he covers his mouth and points to the camera to signal that the control room is supposed to cut to a video. Small problem. Democrats Lose Recall Efforts in Wisconsin

There were six Republican state senators in Wisconsin up for a recall election yesterday, August 9th. The Democrats needed to win three of those elections in order to gain control of the state senate; they won two. The effort was an attempt to stop Governor Rick Walker's push to end the collective bargaining rights of public sector unions. These were the most expensive elections in state history and much of the money came from outside interest groups. In short, Governor Walker and the state of Wisconsin beat back an attempt by strong, national pro-union forces, backed by the Obama administration.

After tens of millions of dollars spent by outside interest groups, dozens of attack ads and exhaustive get-out-the-vote efforts, Democrats on Tuesday fell short of their goal of taking control of the state Senate and stopping the agenda of Gov. Scott Walker.

Republicans won four of six recall races, meaning the party still holds a narrow 17-16 majority in the Senate — at least until next week, when Sens. Robert Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie, and Jim Holperin, D-Conover face their own recall elections. A third Democrat, Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay, easily survived a recall attempt last month.

Sens. Robert Cowles, R-Green Bay, Sheila Harsdorf, R-River Falls, Luther Olsen, R-Ripon, and Alberta Darling, R-River Hills, successfully defended their seats Tuesday.

Challengers state Rep. Jennifer Shilling, D-La Crosse, and Jessica King unseated incumbent state Sens. Dan Kapanke, R-La Crosse, and Randy Hopper, R-Fond du Lac.

Going into Tuesday, Republicans controlled the body 19-14, so Democrats needed to win at least three seats and hold onto two more next week to take over.

"The revolution has not occurred," said UW-Milwaukee political science professor Mordecai Lee, a former Democratic lawmaker. "The proletariat did not take over the streets."

The two Republican senators who lost should run for higher office. These are the type of people who belong in the halls of congress. They voted without regard for the next election.

It's hard for incumbent Republicans to resist the urge to do so but resist they much.

Without question, you will want to watch this more than once. MSNBC is surely proud of its new prime time talk show host, Al Sharpton. Someone has got to be to blame for this. Is it the teleprompter? Is it Al's inability to read? Is it a mix of ebonics with english? Hard to say but the temptation to watch this multiple times while laughing is hard to resist but resist, you much. Words simply do not explain this one. Just sit back and enjoy the train wreck.

Video: Al Sharpton's Incoherence on Display in Debt Ceiling Debate

Even if you overlook the fact that every time Al Sharpton says, 'Potty,' he means 'Party,' this exchange between him and Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) completely reveals Sharpton's lack of ability to understand the debt ceiling debate. His questions and comments reveal not a scintilla of cogent thought. Note that Huelskamp's argument is that the cuts in the final deal are so insignificant that he believes we will have a downgrade in our credit rating. Sharpton's apparent premise is that our credit rating will be downgraded if we don't raise the debt ceiling.

The line of the exchange comes shortly after the 4:00 mark when Huelskamp responds to Sharpton's assertion that people in Kansas 'run around in yachts and corporate jets.'

Said Huelskamp: 'I'm in western Kansas. There aren't many yacts out there.'

VIDEOS: AL SHARPTON HAS A LITTLE PROBLEM IN HIS CRUSADE AGAINST RUSH LIMBAUGH

Al Sharpton has been on a new crusade recently and it involves dreams of sugar plum fairies and Rush Limbaugh being dragged in front of the FCC to explain hisself. This first clip is Al cozying up to far left whack job Ed Schultz who is more than a little sympathetic to the cause; he's got a radio show he'd love to see forced on an unwilling public via stations Limbaugh currently has. Here, Schultz is playing the role of drooling dog under the dinner table.

Note that Sharpton wants the FCC to enforce existing standards and considers it 'arrogant' for people to 'say what they want.'



Now that Al has let us know where he stands, take a look at him years ago on the Morton Downey, Jr. Show calling someone a 'punk faggot' from the stage at about the time Rush Limbaugh's radio career was just getting started.

VIDEO: AL SHARPTON SAYS FCC SHOULD PROTECT PUBLIC FROM BEING OFFENDED BY RUSH LIMBAUGH

While appearing on MSNBC's Ed Schultz show, Al Sharpton provides the quintessential example of the difference between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives want liberals to keep talking - allow the free market to determine winners and losers. Liberals can't win in that arena because they're liars so their strategy is to silence the other side. That is exactly what Sharpton is calling for the FCC to do with Rush Limbaugh.

Sharpton's argument - if you can call it that - is to get the FCC to protect the pubic from the offensive speech of Limbaugh. The irony here is that it was just yesterday that we learned one FCC Commissioner (Mignon Clyburn), indignantly referred to little girls as "nappy headed."

I also enjoyed Sharpton's line of distinction between first amendment protected speech and unprotected speech. The difference between the two is that unprotected speech is "over the top." Uh, Al, can you show us that part of the First Amendment? Assuming our founding fathers had that phrase in their lexicon, they probably would have included it with all CAPS, bold font, and underlined as precisely the kind of speech they wanted to protect.

Notice too that Schultz leads the segment by calling Limbaugh's speech racist and hateful. Compared to the things Schultz has said in the past, Rush's speech is the equivalent of elevator music. Schultz is obviously supportive of the position. I find that ironic in light of his response to Jay Rockefeller's contention not too long ago that Fox News and MSNBC - Schultz's own network - should be shut down.

What Schultz obviously doesn't get is that if conservative talk radio and Fox News were ever shut down, those behind it will have no further use for the likes of Ed Schultz.

Hey Ed, see if you can finish this sentence: "First they came for the......"

VIDEO: SHARPTON'S JOE THE PLUMBER MOMENT

I know, Mr. Sharpton has had quite a few of these moments but in light of the president's recent comments about believing there's a point at which one can make too much money, it's rather salient. While speaking at a church on May 2nd, Al Sharpton told the congregation that having a black man in the White House does not mean MLK's dream has come to fruition. Social justice isn't achieved until all of the wealth is equally spread around.

Does that mean Obama and Sharpton are going to cough up their superior positions of wealth, power, and influence in order to achieve this end? Of course not, which means this clown is nothing but a bald-faced lying hypocrite.

It would seem to me Sharpton is championing the servant with one talent and demonizing the one who took five and made ten.
