This man is an utter disgrace. Here is video of Al Sharpton from twenty years ago, explaining exactly how he is able to manipulate the media in race cases. By the way, that would be the same media that is now - thanks to this video being available for every member of the liberal media to view - willfully complicit in the furtherance of Sharpton's tactics from this point forward.

Van Jones urging the Left to push Obama Left after Reelection
A big downside to the prospect of Barack Obama winning reelection is people like Van Jones urging the left to push Obama even further left. Obama all but assured this would happen during his open mic moment with Dimitri Medvedev in South Korea. The upside - I know it's hard to find one - is that Republicans could have much stronger majorities in the House and possibly 55 Senators. Under such a scenario, Obama would be moving left after Congress moves drastically to the right. The possibility of a much warranted fight between the legislative and executive branches would also become much more likely; it's a fight conservatives have been clamoring for their Representatives to engage in.
Now we know what to expect if Obama gets reelected.
Via POLITICO:
Let's face it. If Mitt Romney is the nominee, Obama's chances of winning are actually quite good, unfortunately.

Via POLITICO:
Van Jones is back with a message for disappointed progressives, Occupy Wall Street and other “post-‘Hope’” Democrats still looking to President Barack Obama for the change they voted for in 2008: Get over it.Ok, so if Romney gets the nomination and loses?
“I think you need two sources of power to make change, and not just one. I think you need a head of state that’s willing to be moved, and a movement to do the moving,” said Jones, the former West Wing insider-turned-disillusioned outsider and a lightning rod for conservative critics.
Liberals must work hard to give Obama a second term, then force him to the left, Jones explained. As I've explained here, a consequence of Obama having a second term that's even more radical than the first would be the possibility of a much more conservative congress that might just force Republican leaders to confront Obama on the plethora of issues - like Fast and Furious and Solyndra - it has seemed nearly completely disinterested in to this point.
“We have to re-elect the president, and we have to re-energize our own movement. That’s how we get change. We’re not going to have a ‘vote and hope’ strategy. We’re going to have a ‘march-and create change’ strategy,” Jones said.
Let's face it. If Mitt Romney is the nominee, Obama's chances of winning are actually quite good, unfortunately.

DOJ on New Black Panther Party's Commission of likely Felonies: No comment
No incident has dogged the Obama administration longer than the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) voting rights case, which occurred on election day in 2008 when Jerry Jackson and King Samir Shabazz stood outside a polling station in military garb. Approximately one and half years later, Attorney General Eric Holder sat in front of a congressional committee and defended his Department's decision not to pursue the case while referring to blacks as "my people."
Before we get to his latest problem with the NBPP, check out this exchange from last year:
Pre-disposed to protect the New Black Panther Party? You betcha!
According to J. Christian Adams, once a federal attorney who resigned from the DOJ over the latter's handling of the aforementioned case, the solicitation of unlawful kidnapping in the state of Florida is a felony. Nonetheless, that's exactly what the New Black Panther Party has done in the case of George Zimmerman and there doesn't appear to be an explanation as to why the DOJ isn't pursuing the NBPP other than they're being Holder's "people."

The U.S. Department of Justice had no comment on the $10,000 bounty the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) was offering for a "citizen's arrest" of George Zimmerman, the 28 year old man who told Sanford, Florida Police he shot and killed 17 year old Trayvon Martin on February 26 in an act of self-defense.No comment? On felonies happening right now? Can someone please tell me where John Boehner is? Like it or not, he is the most powerful Republican in the country today and he is practically invisible on every egregious development involving the Obama administration. It's like a fire marshall who goes into hiding when the alarm goes off.
According to a number of reports, the NBPP "called for the mobilization of 10,000 black men" to do the "arrest." Zimmerman and his family have received death threats since the case became a national issue. Mr. Zimmerman has not been arrested by local authorities. Federal, state, and local investigations of the shooting are happening, and he is currently in hiding.

Is Arizona State Legislature suffering from John Boehner syndrome?
Do you remember when news broke earlier this year that Rep. Darrell Issa and Sen. Charles Grassley were going to get support at the Arizona state level with respect to the Fast and Furious investigation? Yeah, well, not only has the deadline for the legislature to provide its findings come and gone but there hasn't been ONE SINGLE PUBLIC MEETING on the topic.
Via ABC 15 in Phoenix:

Via ABC 15 in Phoenix:
The special state committee, created in January to investigate the controversial ATF Fast and Furious case, will not meet its March 30, 2012 deadline to provide its findings about the controversial case to the governor.
According to Rey Torres, the Director of Communications for the Arizona House of Representatives, the Ad Hoc Committee on Operation Fast and Furious has not yet held a meeting and currently has no meeting scheduled.
The group was formed to investigate the factual background of the flawed Fast and Furious case , in which ATF agents admitted to allowing straw buyers to obtain weapons and distribute them to known criminals.Additionally, there is new information on one of the Fast and Furious guns recovered at a crime scene in Maricopa County two years ago. This news report focuses on the apprehension of a suspect driving a stolen vehicle that was carrying an AK-47 connected to Fast and Furious. The criminal actually pointed a separate gun at the police officer who was chasing him but it's easy to imagine a scenario whereby the driver of the stolen vehicle could have fatally shot a police officer.
Torres said it is unlikely that a meeting will be scheduled before the legislative session is finished sometime next month.

Video: Katy Perry now officially Rocks
Back in August of 2011, pop singer Katy Perry found herself in some hot water when she posted a tweet that advocated praying for Israel. The venomous backlash she received was predictable but, nonetheless unwarranted. Unfortunately, Perry walked it back a bit, saying that a kid asked her to pray for him specifically.
Well, it appears that Ms. Perry may have made a very conscious decision to anger the left in the form of a pro-Military video.
This is very refreshing to see from a celebrity. Will she withstand the backlash? If she keeps this up, she's going to have a slew of conservative fans.
***UPDATE*** Far left whack job, Naomi Wolf is calling for a boycott of Katy Perry and seems to think this video is "Propaganda for the Marines" and "glorification of violence." Uh, really?
Translation: Wolf hates the idea of people feeling good about the U.S. Military and the degree to which she fears this might do that should actually help you enjoy it a bit more.

Can a Romney loss to Obama be a good thing?
Yes, part of this is "glass half full" thinking but as I looked at it further, I began to wonder if a Romney loss to Obama would actually be a good thing. No, I'm not any less conservative than I was yesterday. Just imagine what the political climate will be in 2013 if the Republicans retain a majority in the House and get a strong majority in the Senate while still having to deal with Obama. Will the Republican establishment finally be forced into a fight - something it avoids like the plague? Here is my latest piece over at Red County:
Can Obama's Reelection be a Good Thing for Conservatives?
Ben Barrack
Conservatives are disheartened. It's becoming increasingly apparent that Mitt Romney will be the Republican nominee in the fight to defeat Barack Obama. If four years of Jimmy Carter so awakened Republican voters that they nominated Ronald Reagan, why has nearly four years of Jimmy Carter on steroids so sedated Republican voters that they've decided to nominate the equivalent of Gerald Ford as the best option for defeating him?
In large part, the establishment insists on it and, like Obama, seems disinterested in the will of the people. This establishment is so invested in Romney that it is overlooking the potential consequences of one very real possibility.
What if he loses? The establishment's credibility will have been torpedoed. Yes, at great expense, but torpedoed nonetheless.
If you thought the Tea Party was angry in 2009, just wait until 2013 if Barack Obama is sworn in for a second term after defeating Mitt Romney. For starters, conservative voters will be outraged at any Republican Senator, Congressman or Governor who helped shove Romney down their throats. Accountability could take on an entirely new meaning and those elected leaders will have their feet held to the fire like never before. Romney's name will be added to the long list of liberal Republicans who couldn't seal the deal. Any attempt by establishment elitists to point to Goldwater as evidence that conservatism can't win will be met with sardonic laughter that hopefully drives a stake through the heart of the argument.
Consider the example Fast and Furious, an operation that is not only being revealed as something akin to Watergate with murder but could very likely implicate the heads of nearly every major department and agency in the Obama Administration, to include DHS, DOJ, the FBI, and the State Department. There have been multiple reports that House Speaker John Boehner has asked Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) to back off of his investigation, ostensibly because of how high it could go.
While appearing on the Fox News Channel, Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation was visibly frustrated at the lack of interest on the part of Republican Party leadership relative to being more aggressive with Attorney General Eric Holder. Judson went on to say the following:
“What my friends in Washington tell me is that Boehner says what he learned from the 1995 government shutdown is ‘you never pick a fight with the president.’”
If Romney loses to Obama, Boehner will be forced to pick that fight.
If Judson is correct, it points to Boehner being more interested in running out the clock – with the November election representing the final whistle – than in a dogged pursuit of justice, regardless of where it leads. Avoiding a showdown could conceivably allow Attorney General Eric Holder, FBI Director Robert Mueller, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to skate – depending on their respective levels of involvement – instead of facing impeachment and removal from office for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Boehner has most certainly come across as disinterested in commenting on the scandal publicly and won't deviate from a short statement of support for what Issa's committee is doing. It would seem that Issa is wrestling with quite the Executive Branch behemoth and could use a greater show of public support from the House Speaker.
If there are any stories the establishment wants to see go away after the election, the ones about Obama's Birth Certificate, Social Security number, and Selective Service registration are at the top of the list. Such concerns are irrelevant, they say. Besides, the election is less than one year away and it's pointless to entertain the notion. The implication is that Joe Arpaio's investigation, even if it yields anything of substance, will be anti-climactic because Obama will be out of office and everyone will have moved on.
That is, unless he wins. Then what? If you thought the Birthers were loud before, just wait and see what happens if Obama is reelected.
Not only will the Birthers – who generally don't come across as avid Romney supporters – have four more years to continue their incessant drumbeat of demands for answers to their eligibility questions but the establishment that has made every attempt to ignore them will have been roundly defeated and, consequently, forced into a position of having to listen. With the wind knocked out of the establishment, its members will also be barraged with demands that they reconcile with their base (not the other way around) for supporting yet another in a long line of incredibly pathetic candidates. As much as the elites won't want to admit it, the Republican Party agenda could be set by conservative voters who were ignored by an establishment that still doesn't get it.
Tolerance will be in very short supply.
The sad prospect of Romney as the nominee is seemingly trumped only by the prospect that Obama could get a second term, which is made more likely, some believe, if Romney is nominated. Establishment, general election Republican losers like John McCain and Bob Dole have endorsed Romney, as have Governors Chris Christie and Nikki Haley. Tea Party favorites Marco Rubio and Christine O'Donnell have as well. A dangerous type of groupthink seems to have set in among Republican politicians that has generated a bizzare coalescence around a liberal candidate when the time is ripe for a conservative one.
For crying out loud, serial liar Howard Dean said the Democrats fear a face-off with Romney most over all the Republican candidates. Those of us who understand liberal tactics know that Dean means the exact opposite; that's why he said it. It'd be like a head coach proclaiming that his team fears facing his opponent's back up quarterback in an attempt to fool the other coach into starting him. Republican elites aren't as smart, apparently. They've been told by Howard Dean that their third string quaterback gives them their best chance and, by gum, they believe it.
Something else almost certain to happen after Romney's nomination; his religion will be thoroughly vetted by the liberal media. Most Americans know little to nothing about Mormonism but that is all going to change with Romney's nomination. According to a Gallup poll, 22% of Americans are hesitant about voting for a Mormon. Some argue that Mormonism is antithetical to Chrisitianity; some argue that it isn't; still others don't much care. One thing is certain. Everyone will know more about it with Romney as the Republican nominee for president. That, too, should be a good thing no matter what side you're on.
Don't lose heart, conservatives. Instead, check out Romans 8:28, which says:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
In 2013, the Republican elites could find themselves at the intersection of 'be careful what you wish for' and 'sleeping in the bed you made.'
I hope they're preparing for both.

Audio: Does this show that Zimmerman stopped following Trayvon?
We still do not know what ultimately happened in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. One narrative that has been put forward, however, is that George Zimmerman continued following Trayvon despite being told by Police not to do so.
This audio recording of the 911 call appears to indicate that Zimmerman ceased following Martin once he was told to stop. At the 2:13 mark, you can hear the request made by the dispatcher. You can also hear Zimmerman's response, which is "ok."

What do George Zimmerman and Lara Logan share in common?
When CBS reporter Lara Logan was covering the 'Arab Spring' at Tahrir Square last year, she was sexually assaulted by a mob of Muslim men who fed their own anger by shouting at her during the assault, "Jew! Jew!" despite the fact Logan is not Jewish. In the case of George Zimmerman, left wing Hispanic groups are questioning his ethnicity despite the fact that his mother is Peruvian (yes, Peru is an Hispanic country). Denial of this indisputable reality does the same thing identifying Lara Logan as a Jew did for her attackers; it feeds the hate.
Both hate and ideology always seem to trump race when it suits minority groups who claim to place defense of ethnicity at the top of their agendas. The narrative has been set; George Zimmerman is an older white male who pursued a young black male and shot him in cold blood. As we know, however, narratives are more often than not, based on manufactured realities in order to reinforce a paradigm.
In the case of hatred, once it reaches a level where it has been harnessed and directed at one person, rational thought is extinguished.
Before any of this happened, George Zimmerman had identified himself as a "Hispanic" and "Democrat." In both cases, based on what they claim to champion, as well as what they've done in the past, liberal Hispanic groups would normally be siding with Zimmerman - or at least not standing against him.
Via the Daily Caller:
My personal favorite is Lovato's attempt to deny a very basic fact while simultaneously calling for a full investigation. Unless I'm missing something here, Lovato is calling Peru a non-Hispanic country by suggesting that Zimmerman, whose mother is Peruvian, may not be Hispanic.
Lovato is on record as saying that Zimmerman is a "racist" (see above). That must necessarily mean that he's conceding there can be racist hispanics. This doesn't fit his paradigm or his agenda. Therefore, he must deny it in order to validate that paradigm. A better example of cognitive dissonance you will not find.

“The Latino community joins the African-American community and other communities in condemning George Zimmerman as what he is – a murderer and a racist,” Roberto Lovato, co-founder of the online Latino advocacy organization Presente.org, told The Daily Caller. How about La Raza?
The group is acting on Trayvon’s behalf. Presente.org has joined with Color of Change to petition for the arrest of Martin’s murderer.
“NCLR joins allies in the civil rights community in calling for a real investigation for this grievous failure of justice,” president and CEO Janet MurguĂa wrote.Uh, if an investigation hasn't been completed yet, how can she know there's been a "grievous failure of justice"?
My personal favorite is Lovato's attempt to deny a very basic fact while simultaneously calling for a full investigation. Unless I'm missing something here, Lovato is calling Peru a non-Hispanic country by suggesting that Zimmerman, whose mother is Peruvian, may not be Hispanic.
“His background is not clear,” Lovato explained. “Is he Latino? Is he white? Is he both? Who knows? It’s irrelevant. What’s relevant are his actions, his racist comments, and his cold-blooded killing of an innocent young man.”While Lovato is correct that Zimmerman's race should be irrelevant, he takes it a step further by actually suggesting that he doesn't know if the man is Hispanic; a Birth Certificate probably wouldn't convince him. If denying a factual aspect to an individual's race helps to feed the hate for that individual, it's apparently an acceptable practice. Is that what we're saying here?

Cognitive DissonanceIt didn't matter that Lara Logan was not Jewish and it doesn't matter to left wing Hispanic groups that George Zimmerman IS Hispanic. If denying a reality helps feed one's hate, it will be done.

Issa pressing to talk with White House aide connected to Fast and Furious, Bill Newell
Those who have been following the Fast and Furious investigation might remember a compelling exchange Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) had with former ATF Special Agent in Charge William Newell last summer. It had to do with e-mail correspondence Newell had with a man named Kevin O'Reilly, who, at the time of those e-mails was a National Security Council staffer for the White House.
Issa's Oversight Committee is now pressing the administration for access to O'Reilly.
Via Fox News:
HERE is a copy of the letter from Issa and Grassley to White House Counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler.
Below is video of the July 26, 2011 exchange between SAC Newell, Gowdy, and Issa about the former's e-mail correspondence with O'Reilly.
Issa's Oversight Committee is now pressing the administration for access to O'Reilly.
Via Fox News:
Two top Republican lawmakers investigating the Fast and Furious controversy are demanding the White House make a former aide available for testimony to see whether the scandal reached the upper echelons of the administration, according to a letter obtained by Fox News. That last paragraph is very telling. It shows that O'Reilly is not willing to fall completely on the White House's sword. By taking that stance, he is necessarily implicating the Obama administration as being complicit in the stonewall if he is not permitted to testify.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, fired off the letter Wednesday urging the White House to make available Kevin O'Reilly, a former National Security Council staffer who is currently stationed in Iraq for the State Department.
The lawmakers are giving White House staffers the deadline of April 4 to respond, with Republican aides privately saying the back-and-forth could provoke a showdown over executive privilege if the administration tries to shield O'Reilly from talking to investigators.
Issa and Grassley wrote in the letter that O'Reilly's personal lawyer has told them that he would permit his client to speak to the lawmakers as long as the White House does not object, and they are willing to do the interview by phone to accommodate O'Reilly's work.

Video: Virginia Atty General on Severability Clause not being in Obamacare
There seems to be prevailing sentiment that the Individual mandate in Obamacare is in serious trouble after three days of arguments in front of the Supreme Court. That may drive a stake in the heart of the Obamacare vampire but this thing is so ugly, it's likely to still become a zombie if the entire law isn't thrown out. That's what the Severability Clause is all about. Had it been in there - and according to Cuccinelli below - it was but the Senate took it out, the ability to take out the mandate and leave in the rest would be much easier to do.
In this exchange with Fox's Greta Van Susteren, Virginia's Attorney General - Ken Cuccinelli - argues just that. Early last year, one U.S. District Court actually ruled this way. Judge Roger Vinson first found the Individual mandate Unconstitutional and ruled that because there is no severability clause - which allows part of the law to go and part of it to stay - the entire law had to be thrown out.
This decision shouldn't rest on one person but because SCOTUS already has four left wing ideologues on the bench, including one - Elena Kagan - who helped craft the Obamacare monstrosity and refused to recuse herself, it probably will. If it's unconstitutional, it should be a 9-0 ruling but ideology trumps just about everything these days.
h/t GWP
If this law is struck down in its entirety, the election of Scott Brown - which was thought to be rendered irrelevant when this bill passed - could actually prove to be one of the greatest Tea Party victories in Obama's first term. His election after the passing of Ted Kennedy took away the Democrats' filibuster-proof majority and they couldn't take the bill up for another vote to make it more ironclad. Instead, they went for the reconciliation process, which required a vote of 51 instead of 60.

Perhaps this video might help explain why...

Video: CNN's Jeffrey Toobin gives wrap-up Assessment of Obamacare Arguments at SCOTUS
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has been the network's go-to guy after each of the three days of legal arguments on Obamacare in front of the Supreme Court. Every time they've gotten his take, he said it was either a "train wreck" or a "plane wreck" for the Obama administration. Before you take heart, remember, it IS CNN. That said, he REALLY went out on a limb if he was trying to make it look worse than it was.
The lynchpin of the law - the individual mandate - is all but gone, according to Toobin. He's even saying that scrapping the entire law is a possibility for two reasons. One, the individual mandate is the lynchpin and two, there is no severability clause in the law.
Here is Toobin after the final day of arguments. He does a very good job of explaining what happens now. Each of the nine Justices will vote on Friday so they will all know how this is likely going to go before the weekend. We won't know until the end of June.

Video: Is Eric Holder turning a blind eye to Felonies based on race?
Two questions. Is the bounty that the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) has placed on the head of George Zimmerman a crime? If so, is Attorney General Eric Holder going to do anything about it? According to former Justice Department Attorney, J. Christian Adams, the answer to the first question is not only, "yes" but it's also a felony in Florida. As for the second question, if the handling of the 2008 voter intimidation case is any indication, Holder's DOJ will probably do nothing.

Ever wonder why so many people have a problem with Rick Warren? This pretty much sums it up perfectly. He renounced the most basic tenets of Christianity by co-signing a document along with CAIR's Nihad Awad, Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, and other Islamists.

Spike Lee re-tweets Incorrect address for Zimmerman; elderly couple fearful for their lives
When Spike Lee tweeted what he thought was George Zimmerman's address, he essentially called for a lynching. Making that egregious act much worse is the fact that it wasn't Zimmerman's address; it was an address to the home of an elderly couple that is now terrified.
Via Fox News:
Via Fox News:
An elderly Florida couple have been forced to move into a hotel after their home address was wrongly tweeted as belonging to the man who shot teen Trayvon Martin.Perhaps even more disturbing is that even when it became known that the home targeted by the rabid mob, at least one member of that mob didn't care:
The tweets were traced back to a man in California and the address was also reportedly retweeted by director Spike Lee to his almost 250,000 followers.
The couple, aged 70 and 72, have been harassed with hate mail, been hassled by media and had scared neighbors questioning them since the tweet, their son Chip Humble told the Orlando Sentinel.
Fearful for their safety, and hoping to escape the spotlight, the couple have temporarily moved to a hotel.
The confusion seems to stem from the fact the woman's son is named William George Zimmerman and he lived briefly at the address in 1995.
When William Zimmerman pleaded with the man who tweeted the address, the man responded, "Black power all day. No justice, no peace" along with an obscenity.A better example of bloodlust one cannot find.
Video: Congressman who was worried Guam could tip over now Rapping from Committee
Remember this guy? Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), who actually got reelected after expressing his fear that Guam could become so "overly populated" that it might "tip over and capsize," is back. This time, while chiming in on what happened in the Trayvon Martin case, not only decided to speak using rhyming acronyms but asserted that Martin was "executed" because of his skin color.
Just in case you forgot, here is Johnson from 2010, after which, his people actually put him back in office. Proof that far too many qualified, intelligent people have decided to stay out of politics.

Video: CNN's Legal Analyst said SCOTUS Argument for Obamacare was a "Train wreck"
Today's argument in front of the Supreme Court over Obamacare was billed as the main event in terms of the multiple arguments taking place this week. If it was, CNN's expert legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin all but declared it a knockout for the Obama administration, calling it a "train wreck."
Here is his assessment of today's arguments. Note what he says toward the end. Assuming all four liberal lemming judges fall in line behind Obama's signature piece of legislation, opponents of the law might be more concerned that Justice John Roberts seemed to show more support for the law than did normal swing Justice, Anthony Kennedy.
Via TPM:
If Roberts is the most supportive of the law / individual mandate among the five most conservative Justices, it didn't come through in this exchange he had with Obama's Solicitor General, David Verrilli.

Why George Zimmerman being a Democrat matters
When it comes to the Trayvon Martin murder, the mainstream media has tried to push a narrative very similar to the one it manufactured in the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting - with the added fuel of a racial angle - on the American people. That narrative (sometimes overt, other times implied) has been that Trayvon's killer was a conservative Republican. He was also a white male who, while bitterly clinging to his gun and his religion, stalked a young black teen and shot him just because of the color of that teen's skin.
Tailor-made for the predispositions of the race baiters who profit from rubbing raw - in quintessential Alinsky fashion - the sores of discontent, right?
Uh, not so much. George Zimmerman is a latino and a Democrat. In fact, the media is generally ignoring that fact, referring to Zimmerman as a "white hispanic," whatever that is. In a normal world, those things shouldn't be relevant but in order to blunt the incendiary tactics of the mainstream media, which is full of liberal apparatchiks, seemingly irrelevant and tangential facts must be underscored in order to diffuse the racially charged climate created by the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
Now, as I wrote about here, the possibility exists that Zimmerman shot Trayvon because the latter actually went for the former's gun.
Via Yahoo News:
When Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was shot early last year, the mainstream media thought it had the perfect political narrative; a deranged Tea Party conservative was driven over the edge by Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin's target chart.
Again, Uh, not so much. Jared Loughner was apolitical at best and if he wasn't, he was a deranged leftist who listed the Communist manifesto as one of his favorite books.

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News. The fact remains that we don't have all the facts as the left continues to manufacture false realities.
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.
The new information is the most complete version yet of what Zimmerman claims happened on the night of Feb. 26 when he shot and killed the teenager.
In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.

Santorum says he's open to being Romney's running mate
In an interview with David Brody, Rick Santorum said he would be open to being Romney's pick for Vice President. If Santorum is given the benefit of the doubt, this may be nothing more than an attempt at a reset in the wake of a manufactured media narrative that said Santorum would support Obama over Romney. However, if Santorum is saying that he would take the number two slot instead of a brokered convention, that's something else entirely.
Via Christian Post:
If this primary continues on its current trajectory, it will reach a point where there will only be two possibilities:
Via Christian Post:
Rick Santorum has shown he is a tireless campaigner and is the number one choice of evangelical voters. Now the former Pennsylvania senator is saying he is open to the idea of filling the nation's number two slot if his fellow GOP front-runner secures the party's nomination. So, is that an attempt to re-calibrate in the face of accusations that Santorum thinks Romney is no better than Obama or is Rick hinting that he didn't learn from his Arlen Specter endorsement?
In a Monday interview with CBN's David Brody, when Santorum was asked if he would consider running alongside Mitt Romney as the vice presidential nominee, he gave an affirmative reply.
"Of course," Santorum told Brody. "I mean, look. I would do in this race as I always say, this is the most important race in our country's history. I'm going to do everything I can."
If this primary continues on its current trajectory, it will reach a point where there will only be two possibilities:
- Mitt Romney is the nominee
- Brokered convention
Is Rick Santorum saying he would prevent #2 by ensuring #1 by being on the ticket? If so, it would be the Arlen Specter endorsement redux. It could also likely be perceived by his evangelical supporters as a colossal compromise of principles. In fact, if Romney is the worst possible candidate the Republicans could put up against Obama, a Romney/Santorum ticket would only make Romney worse, in light of why Santorum's supporters are behind him.
The flip side to this is the Romney campaign. They may have their collective heart set on Marco Rubio but if faced with the "specter" of a brokered convention or a Romney/Santorum ticket, my guess is that ego could win the day.
Kinda like a game show where you have $1 Million in hand and can go home or risk it all for $2 Million. Whaddya do?
If Santorum were to avoid a brokered convention by teaming up with a guy he has publicly stated offers no real contrast to Obama, what will that say?
I know what it will say to me - Arlen Specter redux in the name of doing what's best for the party.

Video: Obama's 'Hot mic' incident with Russia's Medvedev
While in South Korea, President Barack Obama was caught on a 'hot mic' asking outgoing Russian President Dimitri Medvedev to give him some "space" until after the "election," that he'll have "more flexibility" then. In this CBS news report, Bill Plante says the administration had to concede that Obama said what he said. That may actually be the most surprising aspect to all of this, especially considering Jay Carney's incessant attempts to spin other obvious facts.
Here is video from Obama from 2008 in which he pledged a world "without nuclear weapons." Of course, there is no possible way he is naive enough to believe that if the United States disarms, everyone else will too. Assuming he's not that naive, why would he disarm the United States while other nations continue to build more?
After all, Russia has a storied history of being honest, right?
Of course, I continue to get back to Mitt Romney's electability. As I have maintained for some time now, the liberal media WANTS Romney to be the Republican nominee for a whole host of reasons, not the least of which is his religion.
The Republican Party candidates in 2012 have all been thoroughly vetted from practically every angle with one exception. Romney's religion has gotten a pass. That is not by accident. If he is the nominee, the media will destroy him over it and the inability for Republicans who support him to see it boggles the mind. The mainstream media is chomping at the bit to do to Romney what it did not do to Obama over the latter's ties to Jeremiah Wright - and it will probably work.

Video: Rick Santorum curses at New York Times Reporter (why is that bad?)
While on a rope line at a campaign stop, Rick Santorum unleashed on New York Times reporter Jeff Zeleny after Zeleny asked Santorum if he thought Mitt Romney was the worst Republican choice for president. It's hard to fault Santorum here. He actually seemed to channel the rage of conservatives who are fed up with liberal media bias.
Another aspect to this is the liberal media's overt support for Romney as the nominee. This singling out of Santorum all started after a very significant Romney campaign gaffe, when the communications director suggested Romney would move to the left after getting the nomination by using an Etch-a-Sketch metaphor. When Santorum tried to illustrate that there is not enough of a contrast between Romney and Obama, the media pounced. Suddenly, the Etch-a-Sketch gaffe was replaced by Santorum's handling of it. The question by Zeleny is designed to continue the media-created narrative that says Santorum thinks there's no difference between Obama and Romney.

Video: (Father) Pfleger Race Baits from Pulpit using Trayvon Martin statue
Someone please tell me why this guy is still a Catholic priest. There's nothing quite like race-baiting from the pulpit while using visual aids to help you do it. St. Sabina pastor (and Jeremiah Wright / Barack Obama friend) Michael Pfleger used a wooden statue of Trayvon Martin holding bags of skittles and Iced Tea to make his point from the altar that blacks need to demand justice from their government. Disgraceful doesn't even begin to explain this.
One question: If the Catholic Church refuses to defrock / excommunicate this guy, how can it be expected to do the right thing with Obama's HHS contraception mandate?

Video: Is Trayvon Martin's killer a Democrat?
This post comes with a caveat. The first video you see appears to be from a news report but there is no identifying news outlet. That is a bit of a red flag and I seriously considered not posting it until I saw that the website from whence I found it corroborated many of their claims with verifiable sources / links.
According to this video - linked from the Black and Hispanic Tea Party (BHTP) website - Zimmerman is a registered Democrat:
Here is another reason I posted that video. BHTP reports that Zimmerman's father is a retired magistrate who is connected to the (Sanford?) Police Department:
Can you imagine the circular firing squad within the Democratic Party if Zimmerman (a Hispanic) is a registered Democrat who got out of a murder charge because of the political connections his father has with the Sanford Police Department?
h/t Free Republic
***UPDATE: 3/26/12*** Looks like the aforementioned news report referring to Zimmerman as a "self described Democrat," is legit. It's from an NBC 6 report in Miami. One other thing about that report sticks out. In it, Zimmerman is said to have a history that includes a domestic violence charge and an incident in which he shoved the cop; charges were dropped after community service. Two questions arise as a result. One, did his father have any involvement in the dismissal and two, in light of his alleged tendency toward violence, was Zimmerman the best candidate for neighborhood watch and a gun?

George Zimmerman is a Democrat and his father is a retired magistrate judge with connections within the police Department, and the police worked overtime to make certain that Zimmerman was given the benefit of the doubt just for merely saying that it was self-defense without a further investigation and just released. It’s no wonder the Democrat-run union police department in Sanford, Florida released Zimmerman and gave him the benefit of the doubt; Democrats have a long history of Racism in America. That’s why Blacks are coming back home to the Republican Party. Video: Has Santorum just given us his 'acted stupidly' moment?
If there's one fact about the Trayvon Martin murder case that I feel comfortable echoing with the absolute certitude of personal conviction, it's that we don't have all the facts. That's what makes the comments from Rick Santorum during his appearance on Face the Nation so troubling. Santorum is obviously drawing conclusions based on a premise that says George Zimmerman pursued Trayvon Martin so that he could kill him.
This is a narrative that has been pushed by the mainstream media and the mainstream kooks like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson but it is NOT one that should be furthered by Santorum, especially in light of evidence courtesy of a newly revealed witness who says Martin attacked Zimmerman. Doing so makes Santorum appear as if he's attempting to score political points.
Take note of what Santorum does here, while trying to place himself above both Obama and Gingrich. He singles out Zimmerman as someone who "has a very sick mind," and had "a malicious" motive.
Via Daily Caller:
If Santorum is right, he will be proven to have been quite prescient. However, if he is wrong, he will have jumped to conclusions without having all of the facts (just like Obama did during the Henry Louis Gates controversy). Here is a video from ABC's Good Morning America that features Zimmerman's personal friend Joe Oliver (who is black) and Zimmerman's attorney. Note that Oliver says Zimmerman 'couldn't stop crying' after the murder.

Occupy Oakland is back for 'Spring Offensive,' using Trayvon Martin killing as fuel
We knew this was coming. The Occupy movement miscreants - who cried uncle in the face of disease, rapes, murders, assaults, arson, mountains of human waste, and the bitter winter cold - have climbed back out of their holes (made warm by someone else's hard work). Perhaps the city with the worst reputation when it comes to the OWS movement (worst of the worst) is Oakland, which is coincidentally, where Van Jones is from.
As added incentive, Occupy Oakland is using the Trayvon Martin killing as fuel for its crime spree, masked as a righteous encampment.

As added incentive, Occupy Oakland is using the Trayvon Martin killing as fuel for its crime spree, masked as a righteous encampment.
Via Police One:
OAKLAND, Calif. — Occupy Oakland activists have set up a new encampment in a park north of downtown, calling it a response to the recent arrests of protesters in New York and the shooting death of an unarmed Florida teenager. The description of Zimmerman as a "white man" is a bit misleading. He is actually a Latino. Say, are these OWS movements made up of any Hispanics? If so, and Zimmerman is exonerated (this is a possibility, at least based on one witness account), will those Hispanics continue to side with the movement?
About a dozen people in six tents spent Wednesday night in Mosswood Park at Broadway and West MacArthur Boulevard. They were still there Thursday.
Police visited the group around 9 a.m. but did not ask them to leave, according to protesters.
"This is the start of the spring offensive," said Melvin Kelley, a member of the group's Tactical Action Committee. "This is our new encampment until May 1, when we retake" Frank Ogawa Plaza, which the group occupied last year.
Kelley said the activists had pitched tents to show support for Occupy Wall Street protesters who were arrested in New York's Zuccotti Park last week while commemorating the six-month anniversary of the movement.
They are also protesting the killing of Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African American who was shot to death by a white man in a gated community near Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 26. The man, George Zimmerman, says he was defending himself against the unarmed teen and has not been arrested.

Spike Lee wants a Lynching; tweets George Zimmerman's address
The racially-focused Spike Lee has decided to play a hand in any possible effort to lynch George Zimmerman by re-tweeting the address of the man accused of killing Trayvon Martin. Despite the fact that a new witness to the incident has come forward to provide contradictory evidence to the narrative accepted by the likes of Lee and the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), the film director could end up with blood on his hands if a race riot results from the misuse of his celebrity.

Here is video of Mikhail Muhammad of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) in what looks like Zimmerman's neighborhood, on Saturday, March 24th. Note that he is offering a reward for Zimmerman's capture and threatens to do what the police will not.
We all know this is political. To deny that is to exhibit a degree of naivete that is pre-pubescent. One of the things the Democrats are overlooking here is that while George Zimmerman has a caucasian's last name, he is hispanic. If the account of the witness mentioned above proves to be correct or if harm comes to Zimmerman as a result of all this, a certain ethnic group the Democrats are trying to win over could turn on them in a hurry.
One other thing to note in this video. Muhammad accuses whites of killing black children. Uh, Muhammad, would you mind qualifying that by saying it's white Democrats who do that? They're the ones who support Planned Parenthood, which slaughters millions of black babies. Yet, you're siding with Democrats like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?! No wonder these people are so unhinged. The level of cognitive dissonance inside their skulls is too much for any human being to handle without spouting off like this.

Video: New Evidence shows Jesse, Al, and Barack should shut their mouths about Trayvon Martin shooting
It looks like there is shocking new evidence to come out in the Trayvon Martin case and it involves a witness who claims to have seen the entire episode. He was interviewed by the Fox affiliate in Tampa and appears to paint a picture of what happened that is completely different from the narrative being pushed by the typical race-baiters. The fact remains that Martin was unarmed but if the testimony from this witness is accurate, it points to Martin actually attacking Zimmerman.
The meme being pushed by the race-baiters is that Zimmerman was going after Martin while talking to a 911 operator, who told him not to continue. The implication - if you listen to the race baiters - is that Zimmerman kept pursuing Martin while also being the only one of the two with a gun. This witness, who would not go on camera, seems to indicate that Zimmerman listened to the 911 operator and turned back before Martin attacked him.
Again, according to this witness, Zimmerman fits the description of the person who was on the bottom of a scrum between two people and Martin fits the description of the person who was on top, attacking him. The fact remains that Zimmerman was the only person in possession of a gun so if he shot Martin, it may have been a case of excessive deadly force in response to what Martin was doing to him. That could be offset by one possibility. Was Martin going for Zimmerman's gun?
We still don't know the answers to these questions but that doesn't seem to stop the race baiters. Anyway, here is the news report from Fox's Tampa affiliate (h/t Free Republic):
We all remember when President Barack Obama was asked about the arrest of his friend and (black) professor, Henry Louis Gates. He jumped to conclusions after admitting he didn't "have all the facts" and said the "police acted stupidly." As those facts came in, we learned that the police acted lawfully and it was our president who acted stupidly by speaking without the facts he admitted he did not have. It led to the face-saving and now infamous White House beer summit. Conclusions were jumped to based almost entirely on race.
Now, after the initial reports of the Trayvon Martin shooting painted the picture of an innocent boy returning home from the store with little more than a bag of skittles, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have already assumed their roles as bomb-throwing race-baiters who love to rub raw the sores of racial discontent. Obama, who either doesn't understand the size of his pulpit or does and loves to misuse it, said that if he had a son, he'd "look just like Trayvon."
Mr. Obama should be careful because he's coming precipitously close to saying that George Zimmerman acted stupidly. Whether he did or didn't, as Obama said prior to being proven wrong in the Henry Louis Gates case, "we don't know all the facts."
One other thing to note here. Zimmerman is Hispanic.

As those facts came in, we learned that the police acted lawfully and it was our president who acted stupidly by speaking without the facts he admitted he did not have.

Fast and Furious: Fox's William La Jeunesse provides Critical information about those two FBI Informants
On yesterday's installment of Fox's Special Report, a very short but extremely explosive segment seems to have flown under the radar for now. Sipsey Street's Mike Vanderboegh caught it live and posted it to his website but to this point, the only thing further I've been able to find on the story is a transcript posted to Lexis Nexis, which is posted below.
We first learned that the ATF allegedly let Fast and Furious ringleader Manuel Celis-Acosta free after having reason enough to arrest him twice, was so that he could gather more information on two drug lords. The Los Angeles Times reported the story and revealed that those two drug lords were actually... wait for it... FBI informants. According to Vanderboegh, the two men are brothers and one of them only has one arm. Their names are Eduardo and Jesus Miramonte and they reportedly are intimately involved in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
Here is the relevant excerpt from La Jeunesse's report:
**UPDATE** Video of La Jeunesse's report is below. Here is a link to an article with more detail.

Here is the relevant excerpt from La Jeunesse's report:
WALLACE: New this evening, the justice department is pushing back against claims that lawmakers on Capitol Hill did not receive recently disclosed "Fast and Furious" documents. Justice says they were law enforcement sensitive, and whoever leaked them is compromising the department prosecutions.Again, the fact that this information is not being released by the Justice Department, but through back channel leaks only serves to further demonstrate just how devastating this is to Eric Holder.
Correspondent William La Jeunesse examines some other lingering questions, including doubts about the ATF's desire to bust the gun tracking ring.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
WILLIAM LA JEUNESSE, FOX NEWS CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): When buying a gun, buyers must state on this federal affidavit the gun is for them, not someone else, otherwise, it's a felony. In March 2010, Uriel Patino (ph) bought eight weapons at this store and claimed the guns were for himself. Two days later, police found Patino's guns in Manuel Celis-Acosta's car, yet, the ATF arrested neither.
In fact, agents allowed Patino to lie on applications and buy another 300 weapons (ph) for Acosta, spending over $300,000 while on food stamps. Police even stopped Acosta at the Mexican border with 75 rounds of ammunition and nine cell phones hidden in his car. Still, the ATF let him go.
Why? Well, the agency claimed it wanted the big fish in Mexico buying the guns. Unknown to them, those fish worked for the FBI. The identities of Eduardo and Jesus Miramonte Esverella (ph) had been kept secret until now. Sources familiar with classified material say the two were national security assets, untouchable and unindictable. Documents they say the FBI never told the ATF.
CHUCK GRASSLEY, (R-IA) SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE: One agency works hard to get information, and they don't want to share with others.
LA JEUNESSE: The Miramontes (ph) worked as informants for police in Miami, the Marshall service and DEA before the FBI say sources who believe the two spent $250,000 on "Fast and Furious" guns, about two-thirds of which are still missing.
GRASSLEY: You're getting at the very basis of our investigation, but I'm going to have to wait until I get the information before we bring down the hammer.
LA JEUNESSE (on-camera): Asked about the role of their informants in "Fast and Furious," the FBI said today, quote, "It cannot provide additional information even when inaccuracies are being reported because of a pending investigation. We do know the FBI did brief the ATF 11 months and hundreds of guns after `Fast and Furious' began."
In Los Angeles, William La Jeunesse, Fox News.

Guest Writer: David Conn on Mitt Romney (Part 2)
Yesterday, I posted an article written by David Conn, a man who many believe is responsible for exposing the real Jim Jones to the world in the late 1970's. When Jones finally figured out that Conn had been tracking him for nearly ten years, he panicked and fled to Guyana shortly thereafter. Conn knows the cult mentality and what he has to say matters.
Here is the second of his two articles on why Mitt Romney would be a terrible choice for the Republican Party. If you haven't read Part 1 yet, you can view it HERE.
ROMNEY, AN INTERNATIONAL DISASTER
David Conn
March, 2012
In my previous article I dealt with why Romney would be a national disaster. I now want to explain why he is sure to be an even greater disaster internationally.
First you should understand the dangerous fanaticism of Islamic leaders and indeed most followers of their leader, Muhammad. You can count on them to respond with incredible violence whenever they believe their religion has been blasphemed (witness their recent killing of our soldiers who unwittingly burned several Korans which, by the way, had already been desecrated by Muslim detainees at Bagram Air Base and who disgraced the Koran by using them to write notes to each other). Imagine how the Islamic world will react with Romney as President of the United States, for he holds the scandalously blasphemous belief in God that is certain to enrage every Muslim in the world.
Romney believes that God (Allah to the Muslims), in the physical body of a man, had sexual intercourse with Mary and produced the child Jesus. I assure you, nothing is more outrageous to the Muslims than a blasphemy such as this. (It is even blasphemous to Christians.) I remind you that Muslims also believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. Romney does not! The entire history of Mormonism does not.
Neither Rick Santorum nor Newt Gingrich holds this blasphemous belief about God, and thus would be merely the President of a country the Muslim world already is taught to hate. Neither, however, would enrage Muslims to near the extent Romney would. They will think that, with Romney, the United States is happy to have a President who not only has blasphemed God for all his life but who continues to purvey that blasphemy by encouraging the work of Mormon missionaries throughout the world. Rest assured that the Muslims already see Barack Obama as the Western World’s great defender of Islam. To see him replaced by the blasphemous Romney would foment their anger intensely.
It is important to realize that the Muslim world presently has little to no understanding of the Mormon cult. But it will all come to light if Romney becomes our candidate. I assure you that Obama’s team, along with the liberal media, will waste no time in flooding the world with Romney’s cult mentality and, especially, with what an outrage he is to the Muslim community. The only hope for Romney is to deny his Mormon faith. But that is something he cannot do, for he simply does not have the intellectual courage to engage in a dialogue with any expert on cult mentalities.
Romney’s Mormonism does not affect his business profession. He has spent his life under the tutelage of Mormon leaders who are among the shrewdest and most ambitious in the world of business. But it is not totally surprising that Romney did not foresee his predicament, for one of the key characteristics of a cult mentality is the inability to see the obvious. Romney’s cult mentality disables him from giving thought to the severe problem his Mormonism brings to his international obligations. It prevents his remaining intellect from thinking, with courage and honesty, about his cultic entrapment. However, I am certain that the Muslim world will obsess about it with a maniacal intensity.
(David Conn is an expert on cult mentalities. He has a standing offer to debate the Mormon hierarchy at any time and place of their choosing. He co-authored THE CULT THAT DIED, Putnam's Sons of New York, and is the author of LEDNORF'S DILEMMA. His email is davcon137@aol.com and his web site is www.truthsleuth.net.)

Video: Fox's William La Jeunesse getting very close to blowing lid off of Fast and Furious
This news report seems to portend some very significant developments in the Fast and Furious case. Note how Fox's William La Jeunesse brings Manuel Celis-Acosta and Uriel Patino into the fold. Patino purchased guns as a straw buyer and handed them off to Acosta, the ringleader in the Fast and Furious investigation. Despite that, the ATF let Acosta go after finding weapons that Patino purchased in Acosta's car. That was in late March of 2010.
Then, in May of that year, Acosta was stopped again by the ATF; loaded magazines were found in Acosta's vehicle but he was still let go, ostensibly to collect information on two drug lords in Mexico. Ridiculously, those two drug lords were actually FBI informants. La Jeunesse makes an excellent point when he says the "big fish argument" from the ATF invalid. Throughout this scandal, ATF has maintained that it allowed straw purchasers to buy weapons in the hopes that such purchases would lead to bigger fish. However, as La Jeunesse points out, Acosta WAS the big fish and the ATF let him go twice.
The key part of this video, however, comes at the 2:25 mark, when La Jeunesse reveals that all of this information has come from an "insider" and not as a result of the Justice Department's compliance with congressional subpoenas.
My guess is that Eric Holder is in a heap of trouble as this continues to unravel. We may be reaching the point when the levee breaks.

I thought about setting this video up by using a metaphor to explain why it's relevant. Then I thought, "If anyone needs a metaphor to understand the significance of this clip, they're either out to lunch or a 24-hour, jock-sniffing, ESPN addict and wouldn't understand the metaphor anyway."

Guest Writer: David Conn on Mitt Romney (Part 1)
David Conn was a central figure in exposing Jim Jones in the 1970's. In fact, he is the one primarily responsible for causing Jones to panic and ultimately uproot his flock from Northern California and then moving it to Guyana, South America. He studied Jones for years and is considered an expert on cult mentalities.
A few months ago, I received a column from him that focused on Mitt Romney and I have posted it below. He recently wrote a follow-up article, which I will be posting tomorrow. Here is a link to his website. Interestingly, another man - Pastor O'Neal Dozier - arrived at similar conclusions and made news earlier this month when he called on Romney to denounce his "racist" religion.
Anyway, here is Conn's first of two articles.
What You Must Understand about Mitt Romney
David Conn
October, 2011
If Mitt Romney is nominated, Obama will win a second term. The radical Democrat attack machine will stop at nothing to expose all the weirdness of Romney's Mormonism, things about which the public, including Catholics and evangelicals, are mostly unaware.
Romney will be forced to lie about his own cultic faith. And the more he lies, the more the leftist attack dogs will be able to expose both him and Mormonism. It will be Mormonism's first world wide exposure -- and with it will come a full exposure of Romney's major intellectual weakness: the inability to see the obvious.
Obama's forces, though, will not directly attack Romney. They will do it through radical instruments and ties to left wing organizations that are utterly without scruples. Through them, Obama and his mob, with more than a billion dollars in their coffers, will pull out every stop in displaying the inanities of the Mormon cult.
It will not be pleasant. Obama's political army, though, will appear completely innocent. They will even falsely display a criticism of organizations who disparage Romney's religion. They will exude sensitivity.
Romney will be in a strange spot, for he cannot deny that he holds all those strange Mormon beliefs. He can only say that he is a Mormon in good standing. And that will launch him into an arena where Obama and his regime will take great and secret delight. For they will surreptitiously reveal every bizarre belief held by Romney and the Mormon cult:
Their Book of Moses states that the very first murderer, Cain, was the father of the Negro race: "his black skin was due to a curse by God." That is why, for a hundred years or more, Blacks were paid little attention. Mormons believed that the Blacks' 'preexistent souls' "were less than valiant in the 'war in heaven' between Christ and Satan," and that they were being "punished by being assigned to black bodies during their mortality."
And the American Indians were thought to be "descendents of the Book of Mormon's wicked Lamanites, ... allegedly cursed by the Mormon deity with dark skins as a punishment for the misdeeds of their forefathers." (See Walter Martin's Kingdom of the Cults, p.218) It was Dr. Martin's observation that "Mormonism, then, is clearly a religion with a shameful history of white supremacist doctrines and practices."
It is a fact that Obama’s radical cadre has taken careful note of the crazy cult beliefs of the Mormons. It is also aware that the American public has almost no knowledge of the anomalous Mormon precepts and the weird Mormon history. And the Obama team will utilize every opportunity to inform the public of the stunning details throughout the history of Mormonism. Only then will the media happily relay what the Obama team has “uncovered.” It will be the Mormon’s first major exposure. And that is how Obama would gain his second term.
Barack Obama's intellectual cowardice is vast and remains yet unfathomed, due to an unrestrained mendacity. But Romney's cultic propensities are miniscule compared to Barrack Obama's radical Marxist-socialism coupled with his false Christianity and extravagant defense of Islam's radical global goals. Romney is confined to a comparatively less harmful cult mentality and thus would do far less harm than Obama. But what does it matter? Obama will see to it that Romney is not elected! Obviously, then, it would be best if Romney is not the Republican candidate.

Did Santorum take the 'Etch-a-Sketch' Gaffe too far?
Though Rick Santorum's point that there isn't much difference between Obama and Romney is well taken, coming from him, it may have turned a Romney campaign gaffe into a Santorum gaffe. It also didn't help the perception that Santorum is the angry candidate who resents the fact that his message isn't resonating the way he wants it to.
To Santorum's point, four years of Jimmy Carter moved this country so far to the right that we elected Reagan. Four years of Jimmy Carter on steroids (Obama) doesn't appear to have moved this country even right of center if Romney is the nominee. In that respect, Santorum has a point but his argument that Romney will be worse than Obama not only comes across as petulant but it gives the DNC a powerful campaign commercial if Romney is the Republican nominee (they have plenty already).
Personally, I'm highly skeptical that Romney has a chance of beating Obama. In fact, Santorum probably should have laid out the reasons why that is true before he decided to practically wish it. Secretly, Obama's team likely thinks a Romney nomination gives them the best chance to win. After all, he's securing the nomination not with ideas but with money; Obama will have more than him so what does that portend? There are four things I see that will significantly hurt Romney against Obama.
- The caricature of him as the poster child for the 1%
- Obamacare is neutralized by Romneycare
- Mainstream media campaign to attack Mormonism
- A de-energized base due to a liberal candidate (John McCain effect)
Nonetheless, it appears that Santorum took a golden gaffe from team Romney and drew the wrong kind of attention to himself by taking it a bit too far for Republican voters. In fact, at CPAC last month, Andrew Breitbart accused anyone who would not support the Republican nominee, regardless of who it eventually becomes, as being "on the other side." While that may have been a bit strong, it's sentiment that many conservative voters share (the CPAC crowd certainly seemed to agree).
Conversely, the anti-Romney sentiment from the right is quite strong. If it weren't, I'm not sure Santorum would have said this.
The candidate who could benefit most from both the "Etch-a-Sketch" gaffe and Santorum's "Etch-a-Sketch" gaffe "gaffe," is Newt Gingrich, who has released a powerful ad slamming the Romney campaign over the former while distancing himself from the latter's comments by tweeting that Romney would most assuredly be better than Obama.
Here's Newt's ad:
1965 Audio: Paul Harvey's "If I were the Devil"
When I first saw this a week or two ago, I had no idea it was from 1965. Though I found the images juxtaposed with Paul Harvey's commentary compelling, they are far more so when you realize that these words were spoken more than forty-five years ago. It's impossible to dispute that as a nation, we are where Harvey warned us not to go and in every single example illustrated in this video, left wing ideology is responsible.

Video Disgrace: OWS Protesters 'Fish' for Cops with Doughnut
Beginning in the 1960's, miscreants like these learned that if they engaged police officers when news cameras were around, the perception of police brutality was easily created. Often, protesters would taunt police until those cameras arrived, which made the inevitable confrontation look more brutal. In reality, the punks often got what they deserved. However, like is almost always the case, retaliatory strikes are the only ones caught on camera (check out unnecessary roughness calls in football). It was a tactic championed by Bill Ayers' Weather Underground and it was effective.
Contrast that with this video, shot at Union Square in New York. A row of police officers is keeping OWS'rs at bay and one of the protesters has a doughnut tied to the end of a string, which is tied to the end of a stick. As the punk mockingly and repeatedly casted his doughnut toward the police, the crowd laughed and chanted in support.
In the 1960's, the student might put the doughnut away before television news cameras arrived and scream about police brutality as he was getting what he had coming to him. Today, thanks to YouTube, we can see the whole story and it reveals a disgraceful bunch made up of petulant children in adult bodies.

Video: Muslim Congressman channels John Belushi
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) was on the O'Reilly Factor to discuss the situation with Iran possibly getting nuclear weapons. When O'Reilly tried to explain to Ellison that our mindset is reminiscent of the same mindset we had about Hitler before Nazi Germany came to power, Ellison responded by making reference to the attack on Pearl Harbor. O'Reilly's reaction to Ellison at that point was almost as funny as the faux pas itself.

Fast and Furious Circus: ATF released suspect to gather information on two FBI Informants
This is an extremely significant development in the Fast and Furious scandal. Earlier this week, we learned that the lead suspect in the investigation - Manuel Celis-Acosta - was apprehended near the Mexican border back in May 2010 with loaded "AK type" magazines and was already under investigation for firearms trafficking. He should have been arrested then and there but lead ATF case agent Hope MacAllister let him go after getting his predictably empty promise that he would help her track down a couple of drug lords.
That was bad enough but now, thanks to the Los Angeles Times, we learn that those two drug lords were FBI informants:
Oh, what's that part about the DEA? Yeah, apparently ATF and DEA were both tracking Acosta unbeknownst to each other.
Ronald Kolb posted one of these exchanges between Holder and Issa on February 2, 2012:
As for the deadly multiple agency circus, this video definitely seems to fit:
h/t Sipsey Street
That was bad enough but now, thanks to the Los Angeles Times, we learn that those two drug lords were FBI informants:
When the ATF made alleged gun trafficker Manuel Fabian Celis-Acosta its primary target in the ill-fated Fast and Furious investigation, it hoped he would lead the agency to two associates who were Mexican drug cartel members. The ATF even questioned and released him knowing that he was wanted by the Drug Enforcement Administration.Yes, the man who may ultimately be responsible for so many guns going into Mexico AFTER being stopped in May of 2010, was released so he could track down two men who were already working for the FBI!!
But those two drug lords were secretly serving as informants for the FBI along the Southwest border, newly obtained internal emails show. Had Celis-Acosta simply been held when he was arrested by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in May 2010, the investigation that led to the loss of hundreds of illegal guns and may have contributed to the death of a Border Patrol agent could have been closed early.
Oh, what's that part about the DEA? Yeah, apparently ATF and DEA were both tracking Acosta unbeknownst to each other.
Documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times/Tribune Washington Bureau show that as far back as December 2009 — five months before Celis-Acosta was detained and released at the border in a car carrying 74 live rounds of ammunition — ATF and DEA agents learned by chance that they were separately investigating the same man in the Arizona and Mexico border region. That's not all. When Acosta was finally arrested less than two months after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's death - a death Acosta may have been directly responsible for - the ATF learned that the two drug lords were FBI informants. This information was known more than one year ago, when Acosta was arrested on February 2, 2011.
ATF agents had placed a secret pole camera outside his Phoenix home to track his movements, and separately the DEA was operating a "wire room" to monitor live wiretap intercepts to follow him.
The ATF had hoped he would lead them to two Mexican cartel members. But records show that after Celis-Acosta finally was arrested in February 2011, the ATF learned to its surprise that the two cartel members were secret FBI informants. This is relevant for at least two reasons. First, the Justice Department stonewall, which Rep. Darrell Issa and Senator Charles Grassley have been dealing with for about as long, was hiding this very damaging fact. This revelation points directly at a coverup. Second, in testimony before the House Oversight Committee one year later, on February 2, 2012 Attorney General Eric Holder emphatically asserted and reiterated more than once that his Department would not release any correspondence after the February 4, 2011 letter from Asst Attorney General Ronald Weich to Grassley. That letter was proven to have been false and ultimately withdrawn by the DOJ about one year later.
Ronald Kolb posted one of these exchanges between Holder and Issa on February 2, 2012:
Congressman Darrell Issa from California later asked Holder if he would provide e-mails and communications past February. These developments seem to indicate that with Acosta's arrest in February of last year came a realization at the highest levels of these departments that there would be serious implications if the truth came out. That coverup quite possibly began with the demonstrably false February 4, 2011 letter. Issa has been almost patient to a fault when it comes to issuing that contempt order he has threatened but this could do it. As Issa explained in an interview on Fox News recently, the contempt order he issues would go directly to the US Attorney for Washington, D.C. That person's boss is Holder. This obviously complicates things for the Committee chairman but these revelations about Acosta being a big fish released to gather intelligence on two informants from another agency could seriously ratchet up the political pressure on Holder to comply.
Holder: As I have indicated, we are not going to be turning over after February...
Issa: Are you aware of the fact that by doing so, that the fact that we have already issued a subpoena, you are standing in contempt of Congress unless you give a valid reason[?] ... [O]therwise you will leave the committee no choice but to seek contempt for your failure to deliver or to cite a constitutional exemption.
As for the deadly multiple agency circus, this video definitely seems to fit:
