Since he won't release the most basic information about his college career (transcripts / funding), shouldn't the burden of proof fall on the president when legitimate questions about those things are raised?
See the very compelling video below of Percy Sutton, an attorney that represented Malcolm X AND Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, a radical Islamist who, according to Sutton, asked him (Sutton) to write a letter to Harvard singing the praises of Obama.
Jerome Corsi has written a compelling piece for World Net Daily that is backed up by video evidence along with a refusal by Obama to release records related to his time at Harvard.
In the video, Sutton says that al-Mansour introduced him to Obama. Again, shouldn't the burden of proof be on Obama considering the circumstances surrounding his time at Harvard is still a mystery? Another eye-brow raiser that would lend further credence to Sutton's claim is that al-Mansour apparently went to Harvard:
The back cover of al-Mansour's 1982 book "The Destruction of Western Civilization as Seen Through Islam, Christianity and Judaism" specifies al-Mansour received a degree from Harvard, where he majored in philosophy and logic, and a law degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
al-Mansour also is a Black Liberation Theology advocate (think Jeremiah Wright).
The Bald-Faced Lies of the Obama administration continue to outdo themselves. The latest one comes straight from Rahm Emanuel. In fact, this one is SO BALD-FACED that I have to believe Emanuel is trying to create a distraction by falling on the sword to get Republicans off that stinky health care trail.
Said Emanuel: "WE'VE RESCUED THE ECONOMY"
There's no other explanation for Emanuel saying something so absurd. Even though it may have been a calculated effort to get people focused ON THE ECONOMY and OFF HEALTHCARE, it's still fun to watch John Boehner run Rahmbo through the shredder.
In a debate on November 28th, 2007 Mike Huckabee recommended that if we ever launch a manned trip to Mars, Hillary should be the first one to go. NewsBusters reports on Hillary's speech to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) on July 15th in which she leads off by referring to the "Mothership".
“Thank you very much, Richard, and I am delighted to be here in these new headquarters. I have been often to, I guess, the MOTHER SHIP in New York City, but it’s good to have an outpost of the Council right here down the street from the State Department. We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won’t have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future.”
Quick! Check out the video over at NewsBusters before CFR has it erased and calls MIB.
Priceless. House Republicans presented a United Front on the House floor by individually asking Obama where the jobs are that he promised via the stimulus. Adding additional credibility to this tack is the fact that House Republicans unanimously opposed the stimulus bill and all but three Senate Republicans did (Snowe, Collins, and Specter).
Arlen Specter, at the time a RINO, has since decided to unmask himself and defect to the Democrats while in the race of his life in 2010 for his senate seat in the heavily blue state of Pennsylvania.
Hot Air began reporting on this yesterday and Real Clear Politics has the video of the Fox News Alert from this morning. In any case, it appears that Obama's preference to outsource strong-arm tactics to his Community Organisms is giving way to the, "If you want to get something done right, you have to do it yourself" adage.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has been a thorn in the side of Obama's reckless economic policies for a while now but they apparently crossed the line last week when CBO Chief Doug Elmendorf gave a resounding THUMBS DOWN to the Obama Health Care debacle.
In true Chicago-Way style, Obama allegedly attempted to bully Mr. Elmendorf into coming around to see "reason" by summoning him to the White House for some canoli. Fox News picked up the story. Check out the Video here. Doesn't this remind you of the Inspectors General scandals? Like the IG's, the CBO chief is SUPPOSED to report to Congress. Like the AmeriCorps IG Gerald Walpin, Obama appears to have thumbed his nose at the law.
Lastly, here are the applicable Alinsky rules Obama likely referred to in deciding to summon Elmendorf:
Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose.
Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.
Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
Rumors about the level of Obama's narcissism are sure to multiply after what Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) apparently has revealed. In particular, it is being reported that Grassley has gone public with a narcissistic moment for Barack Obama.
I've long maintained that the best way to defeat evil is to get it to unmask itself. If these reports are correct, Grassley may have gotten Obama to do a little unmasking.
Before reading the below excerpt from the National Journal, allow a recent quote by Obama to sink in for a moment. When asked about the idea that politics is being played with his health care bill, Barack said, "This isn't about me". Let that marinate as you read this:
Grassley said he spoke with a Democratic House member last week who shared Obama's bleak reaction during a private meeting to reports that some factions of House Democrats were lining up to stall or even take down the overhaul unless leaders made major changes.
"Let's just lay everything on the table," Grassley said. "A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn't going to pass if there weren't some changes made ... and the president says, 'You're going to destroy my presidency.' "
The White House did not respond to requests for comment.
Has Obama picked the wrong Senator to dis? Perhaps, as WSJ's Kimberly Strassel reported on July 17th, Grassley strongly resents how he was treated by the Obama administration relative to not being included in the writing of this bitter health care pill, er bill.
Committed as he's been to getting legislation, the Iowan has been clear on what he considers nonnegotiable. The White House and liberal Democrats have cavalierly ignored these parameters, vexing him greatly in the process. There are growing signs the Republican may exit the table. He won't have walked away; he'll have been shoved.
Surely, Mr. Grassley wouldn't be THAT upset, would he?
Perhaps not, until one takes a look at how the Obama administration has been treating a group of people Grassley views as residing in his own political hen house. Namely, the Inspectors General. Grassley is widely regarded as THE Senate Watchdog when it comes to the IG's who have arguably been dissed by Obama far worse than Grassley has been on this WaterLoogie health care legislation.
Byron York has been all over the AmeriCorps story, which involves IG Gerald Walpin but there are other IG's getting dissed left and right including the one at AMTRAK, the International Trade Commission, and TARP with reportedly more to come.
Grassley appears to be getting ever more closer to each one of these IG scandals that began unraveling when Walpin was given one hour notice that he was being fired back in June. Here is a video of York explaining it all on Glenn Beck's show:
I simply can't help wondering if Grassley would be going public with extremely damaging quotes from Obama or aggressively pursuing the IG scandals like this if he'd have been an actual part of crafting the health care legislation.
Hugo Chavez may have been correct when he said Obama has bitten off more than he can chew.
For some reason, the word, "Waterloo" appears to be sticking in reference to Obama and his health care bill. Ever since Watergate, people have been putting the word, "Gate" after the name of whatever scandal has been identified in order to juice it up. Maybe the trick is putting the word, "Water" in front of it.
The hits just keep on coming with respect to the Constitutional crisis in Honduras. Again, the longer the sitting government sticks to its guns and digs in, the more comes out about ousted president Manuel Zelaya. As it all continues to play out, Obama's stance that Zelaya should be reinstated looks more and more dubious.
The Washington Times is reporting that Zelaya and his former Chief of Staff stole millions of dollars, allegedly to fund the illegal / unconstitutional referendum Zelaya was going to use to retain power.
The Times reports:
A security video from the Central Bank of Honduras made available to The Washington Times shows officials entering the bank June 24 and withdrawing large amounts of Honduran currency. The money was driven to the office of Mr. Zelaya's chief of staff, Enrique Flores Lanza, according to depositions by three witnesses to Honduran prosecutors.
Be sure to watch both videos embedded in the article as they show men wheeling out a large black bag.
Obviously, Zelaya was feeling heat on June 24th (when the money was allegedly withdrawn) because the Supreme Court ordered his removal two days later, a removal carried out by the Honduran military on the morning of Sunday, June 28th.
Two Honduran political opponents of Mr. Zelaya with knowledge of the transactions said Mr. Zelaya planned to use the money in connection with a referendum that if successful would have permitted him to serve a second term as president. The Honduran Supreme Court and Congress ruled the referendum illegal because the constitution limits presidents to a single term.
And go figure. Neither Zelaya nor Lanza are talking but witnesses who are implicating them are remaining anonymous for fear of their safety.

If Micheletti's government is in the right and has chosen to stand up for itself in the face of seemingly INSURMOUNTABLE international pressure (which includes Barack and Hillary), just think about what they are accomplishing right now by being patriots whose only shield is their country's Constitution and the political branches / bodies willing to fight for it.
While it is still early, Micheletti and the sitting Honduran government appears to be winning against long odds the longer they hold their position.
And if they continue winning, the Obama administration will come up big losers unless it changes its stance real soon.
WOW! At 16", it's just the right size for your mantle. The Danbury Mint is advertising a porcelain replica of Michelle Obama for that special occasion or when you just feel compelled to bow to the figurine that exudes feminine hope and change.
For those whom these tough economic times are hitting the hardest, getting this "must have" replica is now made simpler with an offer of 4 installments of just $39.50. Now for the bad news. This life-changing piece of porcelain will not be available until the fall so get those Christmas orders in now.
Last week, Real Clear Politics posted a video of PA Governor Ed Rendell suggesting that taxpayers who received interest free government loans should put a statue of him on their mantle. For those who have that Rendell statue already perched up on that mantle overlooking your family, order this Michelle Obama figurine to pair up with Ed.
You might want to put something between them though. I hear Ed likes the ladies.
Merriam-Webster's definition of Projection:the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects ; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety
When someone has a strong argument you know it because they address the strongest point(s) presented by the opposition. Whenever Barack Obama argues a point, he never seems to do this which usually indicates a weak argument. What he continues to do is AVOID his opponents' strongest points entirely.
We saw this on display when he took the position that ousted president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, should be reinstated because he was duly elected. The strongest point of the opposition is that Zelaya attempted to break the rule of law by disregarding the Constitution while the Supreme Court, Congress, and Military of Honduras all supported the ouster on Constitutional grounds. To this point, I've not seen ONE instance where Obama has acknowledged this reality.
On to Healthcare. Financial Times is reporting that Obama is whipping out the FEAR card which his ideological mentor, Saul Alinsky LOVED to use. This is a sign of desperation. He's also using the OBSTRUCTION card.
The problem is that the FEAR card is being played to communicate that if the new health care bill isn't passed, our health care system will basically collapse. That is a lie. The American health care system is THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Obama doesn't address that issue, which means his argument is weak along those lines.
Next, the OBSTRUCTION card. Obama would have you believe that health care legislation is being held up because of partisan opposition. Has anyone noticed who has the overwhelming majority in the House and a Filibuster-proof majority in the Senate? What Obama is NOT addressing is the fact that the legislators who are "obstructing" are in his own party. Again, he does not address his opposition's strongest point(s) which is why his argument is made weak.
That leads me to Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, RULE #10, which says....
The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. AVOID being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”
Notice the word, "AVOID"? Obama is the King of "AVOIDING" the strongest points presented by his opposition. This indicates a WEAK position, which is likely why Alinsky was big on BULLY TACTICS. It may also go a long way in explaining why co-opting the media was so important.
Now for Mr. Obama's PROJECTION...
He's playing the FEAR card, right? The problem is that HE'S actually the one instilling the fear and NOT his opposition. His opponents want to slow down, think this through, and not sign a huge piece of legislation they could regret down the road. Meanwhile, Obama is INSISTING that it get passed.
One should step back and ask, "Who's actually afraid here?"
Remember that Obama's stance is that the American Healthcare system is broken (despite it being the best in the world) while accusing his opposition of causing fear by remaining calm while HE wants them to act without thinking or deliberation. WHY is that?
Quoting from the FT report:
With his own Democrats divided and Republicans determined to kill off legislation before the congressional recess next month, Mr Obama said the country could not afford to continue with a healthcare system that everyone agreed was not working. “But I also think that it’s very easy to scare people that it’s going to get even worse,” he told NBC’s Today show.
Very easy to scare people that it's going to get even worse? Who is he talking about? In any case, that's EXACTLY what HE is doing.
Merriam-Webster's definition of Projection:the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects ; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety
And of course, we couldn't leave out the Alinsky tactic Obama is using with respect to this EXTREME URGENCY to pass a health care bill that actually WILL cause our health care system to end up worse. Much worse.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”
It's how he's run his entire presidency.
