If ever there was a clearer example of the application of Winston Churchill's metaphor that appeasers are like those who feed crocodiles hoping to be eaten last, it's the 'Coexisties' who believe in 'Chrislam.' Chrislam is the appeasement of Islam on the part of alleged Christians in the name of inclusion.
Now we have some protestant whack jobs placing Qur'ans in their 'churches' next to their Bibles.
According to a recent blog post from The Last Crusade, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, along with other congregations in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit, preached sermons and held Sunday school lessons on the founder of Islam, Mohammad, whom Muslims consider a prophet. Qurans were also placed in the pews next to Bibles.
Proponents of the movement, which has been dubbed "Chrislam," claim that Christians cannot love their neighbors without having a relationship with them.
Lost on these cowards is that the equivalent from the other side would be allowing Bibles to be placed alongside Qur'ans in Mosques.
h/t to Weasel Zippers for exposing this latest round of crocodile feeders.
What would happen if a Bill made it to Barack Obama's desk that granted state troopers and local police national authority to enforce our federal immigration laws? He would no doubt veto it since he's suing Arizona over their attempt to do so in their state but it would expose him in the same way his veto of any Obamacare repeal bill would.
Rep. Ed Royce, California Republican, is planning to introduce a national-level version of contentious Arizona state Senate Bill 1070, The Daily Caller has learned. Royce, who chairs the Foreign Affairs Committee’s Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade subcommittee, told TheDC his legislation would give state-level cops and local law enforcement nationwide the authority to enforce federal immigration laws.
Royce is planning to introduce the new legislation soon and said, in addition to giving state and local law enforcement more authority, it “establishes operational control of the border” by sending more fencing to the border and keeping the secretaries of Interior and Agriculture from over-regulating how Border Patrol officials put together fences and work on federal lands.
“All the Border Patrol agents are swearing by it [building a fence and keeping the regulatory powers of the secretaries of Interior and Agriculture at a minimum],” Royce said. “So, that’s part of establishing operational control.”
Speaking of vetoes, Obamacare could conceivably go down in the Supreme Court without the need for one. As SB 1070 wallows in the courts, it may also one day be vindicated by the SCOTUS; if this Bill in California is vetoed by Obama and SB 1070 is ruled Constitutional, other states could follow suit. In light of the recent tsunami that transpired in state legislatures, odds are good.
The most well known Islamic scholar in Great Britain is Anjem Choudary and he has an inconvenient habit of communicating the true Islamist agenda that groups like CAIR, ISNA, the MSA, and other Muslim Brotherhood groups want to keep hidden. He wears on his sleeve what the likes of CAIR's Nihad Awad prefers to keep up his. The good news here is that when Choudary speaks, a little bit more of the proverbial cat is let out of the bag. For some reason, Fox's website did not include the best part of this exchange, which happens at the very end but Gateway Pundit did.
If pressed for time, watch the last video but if able, watch all three. Remember, what Choudary expresses outwardly is what the Muslim Brotherhood groups in the U.S. believe inwardly.
Newly elected Rep. Lt. Col. Allen West (R-FL) recently said that Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) represented the 'antithesis of the principles upon which this country was established' (video below). This apparently got the dander up of some non-Islamic religious leaders who probably sport those nifty 'coexist' bumper stickers on their cars. In the letter to West, the alleged national religious leaders seemed to take West's comments a bit further than what he said and used their own interpretation of what he meant as the basis for attempting to chastise him.
...your subsequent statement that Representative Keith Ellison, one of your colleagues in the House of Representatives, is the “antithesis of the principles on which this country was established” because he is Muslim, shows a frightening lack of understanding for these values.
You will note that West did not even mention Islam when talking about Ellison's religion. Here is the short clip that prompted the original letter from the Interfaith apologists.
West has apparently decided to tell the coexist extremists to go pound sand with a letter of his own. It will be interesting to see if this is the final word on the matter because it should be. West clarifies that he didn't say Ellison represented the antithesis of America's principles because he is Muslim but because of his ties to CAIR. This is the money quote courtesy of Florida Independent:
“My comments in regards to my colleague, Representative Keith Ellison, are not about his Islamic faith, but about his continued support of CAIR.”
At this point the Coexisties have two options. They can either drop it (best option) or they can decide to double down by defending CAIR (worst option). We'll see if they want to be martyrs for a group that wants them under Sharia law.
Here is a copy of the letter West sent to the gaggle of religious leaders who felt he owed Islam an apology:
