Video: MSNBC Propagandist Martin Bashir on Palin, Part II

Earlier this week, far left MSNBC propagandist Martin Bashir suggested that Sarah Palin is violating federal law by donning the American flag on her bus as it tours the country. The faux outrage expressed by Bashir was even more suspicious when one considers the left's view of flag burning. Bashir is likely a huge proponent, though that's based entirely on the ideology he obviously embraces more than it is a statement on him specifically.

In any event, the negative response Bashir apparently generated prompted him to respond on-air so he could 'clear the air' and actually embarrasses himself further. In response to his charge that Sarah Palin drapes herself illegally in the flag, Bashir drapes himself in the Declaration of Independence while showing the audience his green card to prove he's in the country legally. Conspicuously absent from Bashir's response is any backing up of his claim that Palin is violating federal law. Huh, I guess that means she isn't and Bashir only further proves he's a lying propagandist.

Blago Invokes Bin Laden, Finally Throws Public a Bone in Second Trial

The re-trial of ousted Illinois Governor has for the most part, been a rather ponderous exercise. The prosecution didn't play those entertaining recordings of Rod Blagojevich this time around and the media has basically ignored the proceedings. By the time Blago's defense started, the trial had the wrong kind of media inertia going. The longer the trial garnered no interest, the more difficult it would be to to generate. Even taking the stand himself created virtually no interest.

There may be faint signs of life after Blago's fifth day of testimony, during which he said that one of the reasons he considered appointing himself to Obama's Senate seat was so he could get Osama bin Laden:

Via Daily Caller:
Rod Blagojevich tells jurors he discussed the possibility of appointing himself to the U.S. Senate in 2008 so he could hunt down then-al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
If Blago has any chance of getting the media to take notice, he's going to have to start delivering more nuggets like that.

Boehner Gives Obama Two Weeks on Libya

On one hand, it's definitely good to see John Boehner attempt to do the right thing by telling Obama he needs to either follow the War Powers Act, which the president is already violating or disengage U.S. Forces from Libya. On the other, it's hard to get excited about such things when politicians, in general, have rap sheets full of idle threats. In giving Obama two weeks to abide by the law, Boehner is taking the right step but the real question is, what's he going to do when Obama blows him off just like everyone else?

It's tempting to get optimistic but we've seen these guys go up to the line that separates talk from action countless times without crossing it. We'll know if two weeks if Boehner is serious or just attempting to satiate the masses.

Via ABC:
In the immortal words of the vice president, this could be a big $%^ing deal: House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, is throwing what one Republican calls “a legal and political hot potato at the President.”

In a resolution to be voted on in the House tomorrow, Boehner is giving the president two weeks – until the Pentagon Appropriations bill comes up – to either:

a) Ask for authorization for the military intervention in Libya, or

b) Figure out how to disengage the US from the NATO operation in Libya.

The resolution states: “The President has not sought, and Congress has not provided, authorization for the introduction or continued involvement of the United States Armed Forces in Libya. Congress has the constitutional prerogative to withhold funding for any unauthorized use of the United States Armed Forces, including for unauthorized activities regarding Libya.”

Boehner is explicitly and formally stating that the president did not check the box on the War Powers Act before sending the US military to intervene in Libya.
I wonder how this development is affecting the paradigms of Louis Farrakhan and New Black Panther Party (NBPP) leader Malik Zulu Shabazz. In March, they were spittin' mad at Obama for going into Libya and insisted he was being used by the real power behind the White House. I wonder how they square whitey demanding Obama get out of Libya. We may never know. They've both been quite silent since popping off against Obama.
