Video: Grassley Calls out Holder and Napolitano from Senate Floor

Consider this to be a 10 minute appetizer for the December 8th House Judiciary Committee hearing at which Attorney General Eric Holder will be grilled by the likes of Darrell Issa and other congressmen. Here, Grassley raises very serious and legitimate questions that are certain to be asked of Holder. In sworn testimony in front of various committees, both Holder and DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano allege that they were not made aware of Fast and Furious until February of 2011, despite the fact that Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered on December 15, 2010.

In the recent document dump from the White House, memos and emails prove that high-ranking officials, including Arizona US Attorney Dennis Burke and others knew about the connection within hours of Terry's death. It is also known that Napolitano visited Burke's office days after Terry's murder but maintained she was not informed about the connection. This raises several questions, which Grassley rightly asks in the video below but we might be getting a sneak peak into the strategy of the administration.

Look for Burke and company to be blamed for not reporting the Fast and Furious connection up the chain. That's not believable but it will be interesting to see how Issa and company confront Holder about that narrative. It is already known that Burke has been cooperating with congressional investigators. If he told those investigators that the likes of Holder and Napolitano were informed very soon after Terry's death, Thursday's hearing would be a good time for Issa to bring it up.

Anyway, here is Grassley on the Senate floor this week.

Video: Congresswoman tells Occupy DC it's time to 'Occupy America'

Rep. Donna Edwards took about thirty seconds to speak to the Occupy Washington, DC movement and before calling on those in attendance to 'Occupy America,' she made the outrageous charge that her district's $50k median income is 'the lowest in decades.' Even if that's true, what she fails to mention is that her party has been in control of Congress since 2007 and recently had control of the White House as well as both Houses of Congress.

Edwards was also registered with the Democratic Socialists of America caucus, which would explain most of her behavior.

Military Rescinding Outrageous Policy of No Bibles in Hospital

How in the world did a military policy that prohibits Bibles from being brought in to Walter Reed get made in the first place? Someone needs to be disciplined. The good news is the policy is being rescinded. The bad news is it actually took an outraged congressman to do it.

Via Fox News:
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said they are rescinding a policy that prohibits family members of wounded military troops from bringing Bibles or any religious reading materials to their loved ones.
The decision to rescind the ban on Bibles came exactly one day after a Republican lawmaker denounced the policy on the House floor and called on President Obama to publicly renounce the military policy.
“The President of the United States should address this and should excoriate the people who brought about this policy and the individual who brought it about should be dismissed from the United States Military,” Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told Fox News & Commentary.
The memo was initially signed by the hospital's Chief of Staff.
King spoke from the House floor Thursday blasting a policy memorandum from the commander of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center written by Chief of Staff C.W. Callahan. The September 14th memo covers guidelines for “wounded, ill, and injured partners in care.”
“No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading material, and/or artifacts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit,” the policy states.
“That means you can’t bring in a Bible and read from it when you visit your son or your daughter, perhaps – or your wife or husband,” King said. “It means a priest that might be coming in to visit someone on their death bed couldn’t bring in the Eucharist, couldn’t offer Last Rites. This is the most outrageous affront.”
Here is the speech given by Rep. King, after which the decision was made to rescind the policy. Fast forward to the 7:00 mark if pressed for time:

We're seeing a slew of these extremely disturbing positions on the part of top military commanders. In May of 2009, the Army in Afghanistan was ordered to burn Bibles while in September of 2010, General David Petraeus denounced Florida pastor Terry Jones for burning the 'Holy Qur'an.' Let's also not forget that a cross at a US Army post in Afghanistan was forcibly removed.

Lastly, and perhaps most egregiously, General George Casey's comments just a few short days after the jihadist massacre at Fort Hood. His take? Nidal Malik Hasan's actions would pale in comparison to 'diversity' to becoming a 'casualty.'

Video Shocker: a Pro-American Rock Band

Here's one where the band rips OWS. Gotta love it:

Van Jones Calling for Shutdown of Major Ports; isn't that a Serious Crime?

Someone on the House Judiciary committee that Eric Holder will be in front of on December 8th should ask him what the Justice Department plans to do about Van Jones calling for the shut down of all major ports on the west coast on December 12th. The former Green Jobs czar is now calling for collective criminal behavior that should put him and anyone leading such an effort under FBI investigation immediately.

Jones linked to this story via twitter:
Occupy movements plan to shut down major ports along the U.S. West Coast and Canada's Pacific seaboard in a day of action next month, they said Wednesday.
In an announcement hours after a two-month-old anti-Wall Street protest camp was evicted in Los Angeles, they said they plan to strike back against the "nationally co-ordinated attack on the Occupy movement."
Local Occupy movements in San Diego, L.A., Oakland - where protests shut down the port for 24 hours last month - Portland, Taco-ma and Seattle will support the Dec. 12 day of action, they said.
The story also quotes a woman who has become somewhat of a formal / informal spokesman for Occupy Oakland, Barucha Peller:
"We're shutting down these ports because of the union busting and attacks on the working class by the one per cent," said Barucha Peller of the West Coast Port Blockade Assembly, of Occupy Oakland, in a statement.
"We are also striking back against the nationally co-ordinated attack on the Occupy movement. In response to the police violence and camp evictions against the Occupy movement, this is our co-ordinated response against the one per cent.
"On Dec. 12th we will show are collective power through pinpointed economic blockade of the one per cent," she added.
Some might remember that Peller attempted to hold a makeshift news conference one day after the general strike in Oakland. It failed miserably and is worth the watch if you haven't seen it.

United Nations: US Isn't Protecting OWS Protesters

This alone, should warrant kicking the entire United Nations off of US soil. At one level, the mindset of a UN envoy relative to the OWS protesters isn't all that surprising. After all, the UN is an entity that leeches off society's producers as well. However, this is an argument so absurd that it rivals that of Angel Adams, the single mother of 15 kids who wants someone else to be 'held accountable.'

Apparently, the OWS crowd is not responsible for the ringworm and tuberculosis outbreaks, the feces it lives in, the assaults it commits, the theft, the rapes, the vandalism, the violence, the millions of dollars in damages, or the murders that have all been perpetrated by its members. No, according to this whacko, the OWS crowds need to be protected, from what, I have no idea.

Via the Huffington Post:
WASHINGTON -- The United Nations envoy for freedom of expression is drafting an official communication to the U.S. government demanding to know why federal officials are not protecting the rights of Occupy demonstrators whose protests are being disbanded -- sometimes violently -- by local authorities.
Frank La Rue, who serves as the U.N. "special rapporteur" for the protection of free expression, told HuffPost in an interview that the crackdowns against Occupy protesters appear to be violating their human and constitutional rights.
"I believe in city ordinances and I believe in maintaining urban order," he said Thursday. "But on the other hand I also believe that the state -- in this case the federal state -- has an obligation to protect and promote human rights."
"If I were going to pit a city ordinance against human rights, I would always take human rights," he continued.
I think as punishment for La Rue's insane position, he should be forced to spend one hour in a room with the police officers who had to wear Hazmat uniforms to clean up thousands of pounds of human feces. Then he should follow that up with a trip to Saudi Arabia where he can pop off about the violation of human rights in that country.

Good luck, whacko.

The sick irony is that the Tea Party best represents the cross-section of America that allows people like La Rue to get paid. Any guesses as to whether or not he stood up for the right of the Tea Party not to have to endure government theft?

Video: Obama, The Anti-Israel President

From the Horowitz Freedom Center, this video chronicles Israel's establishment in 1948 along with the threats to existence since. Starting with Jimmy Carter, the United States has elected three Democratic presidents that have been increasingly sympathetic to Israel's enemies, with the second being Clinton and the third being the anti-Israel Obama.
