Ron Paul Shoring up that Muslim Vote

The laundry list of items that point to Ron Paul and his supporters siding with Islamists against western civilization continues to grow. We know the vast majority of his supporters either believe 9/11 was an inside job or won't dismiss the notion. This premise alone sows the seeds for an environment that allows for the embrace of Islam without critical thinking because the U.S. Government is the bigger threat according to such Pauliens.

Anyway, the latest example is courtesy of Big Peace, which has posted a flyer written in Arabic, that has Ron Paul Letterhead at the top. It was distributed in Michigan:
The flyer actually has two sides. The English side promotes Paul’s “Plan to Restore America” and touts his deficit cutting prowess and dislike of the Federal Reserve. The Arabic side, however – the side shown above – is far less subtle. It says that Paul will cut foreign aid, and specifically mentions only foreign aid to Israel as the target of cutting.

And that’s the point. Paul’s appeal to the Muslim community is strictly and completely based on his opposition to Israel. Paul’s anti-Semitism is well-documented; see his section on Zionism in Paul’s book Liberty Defined (better titled All The Weird Things Ron Paul Believes). His CYA maneuver, stating that he wants to cut all foreign aid, then determine to whom American should restore aid, is just that – a CYA maneuver. His real target is and always was Israel. I don’t see Ron Paul supporters handing out Hebrew flyers at my synagogue proclaiming his desire to cut off aid to Egypt, Libya, and the Palestinian Authority.
Unwittingly or not, the Pauliens have decided that their guy's issues are so important that they transcend taking a stand against America's enemies.

Ron Paul Pot meet Conspiracy 'Addict' Kettle

Hypocrisy on a stick, anyone? When asked by CNN's Wolf Blitzer about claims that he has entered into an alliance with Mitt Romney that involves his son Rand possibly being chosen as Romney's running mate, Ron Pau, who has sown up the 9/11 Truther conspiracy vote, accuses Rick Santorum of being an 'addict on conspiracies.' If ever there was an example of projection, this is it. In fact, the conspiracy theory mindset among a significant contingent of Paul's supporters doesn't even know how to take anything at face value because everything is a conspiracy.

I have my own theory on why Paul is laying off of Romney.

And, of course, there is no bigger conspiracy theorist than radio talk show host Alex Jones. Ron Paul is a regular on Jones' program and has the full endorsement of Jones, who is a 9/11 Truther himself.

First, the exchange with Blitzer, via Weasel Zippers:

Of course, in this video, Ron Paul practically admits to being a 9/11 Truther. At minimum, he certainly helped to fuel the conspiracy with his answer. That answer also proves that Ron Paul is not willing to come forward with everything he believes because of what it would do to him politically (see above video with Wolf Blitzer).

After watching this, remember that it was Paul who called Santorum an "addict on conspiracies."

Video: Muslim Judge in Pennsylvania on CNN

Consider this guy busted. His name is Mark Martin and he is a Muslim Judge from Pennsylvania. He presided over a case in which an atheist named Ernest Perce was allegedly assaulted by a Muslim bystander during a Halloween parade. Perce was dressed as a "Muhammad Zombie" and his Muslim assailant was so offended and so nervous that he dialed 9-4-4 instead of 9-1-1 in an attempt to report Perce for doing something illegal (dressing up as a Muhammad Zombie is not illegal).

According to an article by Pamela Geller at American Thinker, Martin has denied that he's a Muslim, despite his confession to the contrary, which can be heard on the audio recording of the trial; it was released by Perce on YouTube and can be heard HERE.

Today, Martin - who is clearly on defense now - appeared on CNN and was interviewed by Soledad O'Brien about his ruling, which was for the Muslim assailant. As Martin issued his ruling, it sounded more like a defense of Islam than of the U.S. Constitution. Perce was chastised and called a "doofus" by Martin, who ultimately ruled in favor of the Muslim defendant.

Anyway, here is Martin's appearance on CNN. Pay particularly close attention at the end as Martin actually compares Perce to the KKK while making the argument that just because the Klan had the first amendment right to wear sheets didn't mean that it was right.

Uh, Mr. Muslim Judge, the KKK dressed in white sheets before they went on killing sprees that likely began with assaults. In this case, the guy you compare to the KKK wasn't looking to hurt anyone. In fact, he was the one assaulted.

Video: Darrell Issa interviewed by Megyn Kelly on Jaime Zapata

Rep. Darrell Issa appeared on Megyn Kelly's show today to discuss the new revelations about ATF's involvement in the murder of ICE Agent Jaime Zapata on February 15, 2011. Incidentally, eleven days before Zapata's death, the DOJ sent the infamous February 4th letter in which they denied gun walking ever took place. Almost one year later, Assistant Atty General Lanny Breuer, the head of the Criminal Division, admitted that letter was inaccurate.

Here's the interview between Kelly and Issa. Note that Issa refers back to the DOJ IG being in possession of 80,000 pages of documents while his committee has only 6,000 pages. He makes it clear that all the IG would have to do to honor the subpoena is to hit a button.

ATF Implicated in another DHS Agent's Death; Where is Napolitano's Outrage?

This new development could indicate that Rep. Darrell Issa and Senator Chuck Grassley have come into possession of the best evidence yet that ICE Agent Jaime Zapata's murder was a direct result of an ATF Fast and Furious type operation. It involves a man named Manuel Barba, whom I posted about here last week. Barba had been convicted of trafficking a weapon connected to Zapata's death without the Zapata family being notified. That is noteworthy in itself.

On the heels of that astonishing news, Issa and Grassley have sent another letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and it contains information that may indicate exactly why the DOJ wanted to let Barba's prosecution fly under the radar.

To this point, there have been three other men with ties to guns that were used in Zapata's murder but they reportedly weren't under ATF surveillance at the time. Though they had plenty of reason to be. The names of those three other men are Otilio and Rafael Osorio and Kelvin Morrison. The addition of Barba to this grouping may point directly to a Fast and Furious style operation that led to Zapata's murder, which would seemingly contradict a statement made by an ATF spokesman.

Here is a portion of the letter to Holder I had sitting in my inbox from Issa Press Secretary Becca Watkins this morning:
ATF has tried to distinguish this case from Operation Fast and Furious and to justify its failure to intervene.  In one news article on the Osorio brothers, ATF North Texas spokesperson Tom Crowley is quoted as saying: “[T]aking them down and arresting them at that time would have possibly jeopardized that investigation. . . . None of the tactics used in this investigation were anything similar to what was used in Arizona’s Fast and Furious, including intentionally walking firearms across the border.”[4]  Yet failure to conduct surveillance of individuals known to be trafficking weapons to Mexico was a core problem with the tactics used in Fast and Furious.  Lack of surveillance is what allowed such firearms to reach the border.  The same irresponsible tactic appears to have been used in this matter.
Prior to what's been learned about Barba, the primary difference between Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's murder and the murder of Zapata was that the ATF was literally shown to have been holding the smoking gun in Terry's murder. The ATF had foreknowledge of the gun used in Terry's being 'walked' into Mexico after operation Fast and Furious permitted it.

To this point, Zapata's case didn't reveal the same smoking gun. Remember, the Osorio brothers, along with Morrison, hadn't been put under surveillance so the ATF had an out.

However, Barba was a different story. Again, from the letter:
Now, news reports indicate that this may have been an issue with a purchaser of another one of the weapons found at Agent Zapata’s murder scene.[5]  Records indicate that ATF opened a case against Manuel Barba in June 2010,[6] approximately two months before he took possession on August 20, 2010, of the rifle which was later trafficked to Mexico and also used in the murder of Agent Zapata.[7]  Additionally, the documents show that ATF had indications in October 2010 that Barba was obliterating serial numbers on weapons, the possession of which would have been a prosecutable offense.[8]  At least as of December 13, 2010, ATF also was aware that Barba was still under indictment for a 2006 state case, and thus had been unlawfully receiving firearms while under indictment.[9]  However, a warrant was not issued for Barba’s arrest in this case until February 14, 2011.[10]
The February 14th date is significant because Zapata was murdered one day later. It was also two months to the day, after Brian Terry had been murdered.

We could be seeing a new line of attack from Issa and Grassley here. There has been a narrative pushed by the Democrats that Issa has been on a witch hunt against Eric Holder and has had far too many hearings. This isn't the least bit true since each hearing has consisted of perjury, stonewalling, or both. Hearings should continue until they can take place without such things.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano becomes increasingly more important as Zapata's murder is tied directly to an ATF operation similar to Fast and Furious. Border Patrol Agent Terry and ICE Agent Zapata were both agents under the purview of Napolitano's Department. She hasn't appeared the least bit outraged at the DOJ or ATF despite Terry's murder being the direct result of an ATF operation.

Now that evidence is coming out that Zapata's murder could be directly tied to the ATF in a very similar way, Napolitano's lack of outrage could be a red flag twice the size.

Here is the text of what I sent to Issa's office after receiving the joint letter to Holder:
Becca,
In a sane world, DHS Secretary would be siding with Oversight committee instead of deferring to DOJ IG.

Two of her agents confirmed dead as a result of ATF?

Where is Ms. Napolitano's outrage? She appears to be more agitated with Republican congressional investigators than with those responsible for her agents' deaths.
Thanks for sending.
I believe they call that "dishonor" in the military.

What is Ron Paul doing with Mitt Romney?

I addressed this issue at the end of my February 26th program. What is truly behind this perceived Ron Paul / Mitt Romney alliance? Is it really an alliance or is it something else? I'm beginning to believe it may be something much more sinister and selfish on the part of Ron Paul.

First, the premise that has taken hold among the Republican establishment. It says that Mitt Romney has the best chance to defeat Barack Obama in the general election. I believe it's a faulty premise and that the only candidate with a worse chance of beating Obama is Ron Paul.

Assuming the latter premise is correct, why would Ron Paul help Mitt Romney? Steve Deace and I appear to have arrived at the same conclusion.

Via Townhall:
...it has become obvious that that Paul campaign is more interested in aiding and abetting the Republican Party nominating its weakest and least principled candidate then it is trying to promote its own candidate. The latest prima facie evidence to support this premise is the Paul campaign’s decision to invest money running a 30-second negative ad about Rick Santorum in Michigan, despite the fact Paul has never actually campaigned there.
As I mentioned on my program, I have a source that essentially confirms what Deace writes here:
Either the Paul campaign is engaged in the dumbest strategy to promote a presidential candidate since Lyndon LaRouche’s disciples handed out pamphlets in airports, or it’s time to admit the Ron Paul campaign of 2012 is really the Rand Paul campaign of 2016. Since I know Paul's campaign people are not only not dumb, but some of the best political operatives in the business, I’m going with the Rand Paul option.
The thinking goes that if Obama is defeated in 2012, Rand Paul will not have a shot until 2020. Conversely, if Obama is reelected, Rand can run in 2016.

Deace makes an excellent case and I believe he's right. However, he doesn't necessarily reach the same conclusions I do when it comes to WHY Romney will lose in the general.

The main reason has to do with how the liberal media will destroy him based on his religion. It's already started at CNN, MSNBC, and Comedy Central's Colbert Report. CNN conducted an interview with holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel about his name appearing on a Mormon list of holocaust survivors that are to be posthumously baptized. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell reported that the Mormons have baptized Anne Frank. Colbert picked that up and ran with it when he posthumously circumcised dead Mormons and converted them to Judaism.

The liberal Media will attempt to destroy Mitt Romney based on his religion. The lengths to which it will go to do so could actually make the Romneycare issue irrelevant.

Oh, and if Romney attempts to make an issue of Obama's ties to Islam, all Obama will have to do is point to the words of Mormonism's founder, Joseph Smith, who is quoted as saying:
I will be a second Mohammed to this generation…whose motto, in treating for peace, was 'the Alcoran [Koran] or the Sword,' so shall it be eventually with us, 'Joseph Smith or the Sword.’ ”
Incidentally, in light of Obama's standing with Jewish voters this year, how well does anyone think Romney will do with those voters when his religion is posthumously baptizing holocaust victims? Not only that but Ron Paul has developed a bit of a reputation for being "anti-Israel."

Read Deace's entire piece here.

**UPDATE 2/28** Take note that the source cited by CNN and MSNBC for all of these posthumous baptisms is a woman by the name of Helen Radkey, who has also written that Adolf Hitler has also been baptized posthumously by the Mormons:
In October 1998, McAreavy was able to obtain copies of LDS temple ordinance records for Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun from Philip Roberts of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. These IGI (International Genealogical Index) copies reveal that Adolf Hitler was indeed  baptized and "endowed" on Dec. 10, 1993, and "sealed" to his parents on March 12, 1994. These events took place in the London Temple, England. Robert's copies also show that Hitler was "sealed" to Braun on September 28, 1993, in the Jordan River Temple, Utah, and on June 14, 1994, in the Los Angeles Temple. Roberts sent copies of these records to Ashton.
Now, if the liberal media has already started reporting on Mormons baptizing deceased holocaust victims, to include Anne Frank - according to Helen Radkey, does anyone think for one moment that they haven't already learned of Radkey's reporting that Hitler was also baptized as a Mormon?

Talk about neutralizing the Jewish vote.

Hillary Siding with Muslim Brotherhood against... Republicans?

Back in June, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took a question from someone in Jamaica about the situation in Libya; Muammar Gadhafi had not yet fallen. She used strong rhetoric in her defense of the Libyan (al-Qaeda) rebels. Here is a portion of her response:
...the bottom line is, whose side are you on? Are you on Qadhafi’s side or are you on the side of the aspirations of the Libyan people and the international coalition that has been created to support them? For the Obama Administration, the answer to that question is very easy.
Then, just this past weekend, while in Tunisia, Hillary called out Russia and China over their support of Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Via UK Telegraph:
Speaking after a Friends of Syria conference, held in Tunisia, Mrs Clinton said that Russia and China must join international condemnation of President Assad's regime.

"It's quite distressing to see two permanent members of the Security Council using their veto while people are being murdered – women, children, brave young men – houses are being destroyed," she said.

"It is just despicable and I ask whose side are they on? They are clearly not on the side of the Syrian people."
In Libya, Hillary essentially sided with the Muslim Brotherhood. The al-Qaeda flag was placed atop the Benghazi Courthouse after Gadhafi's fall. In Syria, she's doing the same thing. In fact, Hamas can be added to the list as well; they formally came out in support of the rebels this past week.

While speaking to that audience in Tunisia, in response to a question from the audience, Clinton came off as being far more partisan than her position is supposed to afford her.

Via Fox News:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested Sunday she may have been less than diplomatic when she told an audience in Tunisia to "not pay attention" to the rhetoric coming from the Republican presidential primary race. But she doesn't take back the gist of her comments.
Perhaps it's time for someone to ask Hillary whose side she's on?

Huma Abedin still successfully using Muruna?

The UK Daily Mail has posted multiple photos of former congressman Anthony Weiner (Jewish) and his wife Huma Abedin (Muslim) walking the streets of New York with their new baby boy. However, at the end of the article, almost as an afterthought, the Daily Mail has a photo of a then-pregnant Huma informing her boss, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, of Muammar Gadhafi's death in October. There is no reason whatsoever that Huma should have remained on as Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff and closest aide after what had been uncovered just a few months earlier.

Back in June of 2011, Walid Shoebat and I penned an article that exposed the extremely strong familial ties Anthony Weiner's wife Huma Abedin has to the Muslim Brotherhood. Her mother, Saleha Abedin, is an official member of the group and a leader with the Muslim Sisterhood. It was the bigger story amidst the twitter sexting scandal involving Weiner but didn't get nearly the attention. In fact, Huma garnered more sympathy than shame; she was the scorned, pregnant wife of Weiner.

In the wake of the twitter scandal, it was reported by the New York Post that Weiner had to satisfy Huma, her mother and Hillary that he was cured.
Forget his wife -- Anthony Weiner has an even bigger problem on his hands: Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The horndog ex-House member from Queens is telling friends that while he's finally started therapy for his sex addiction, the really hard part of his "recovery" will be getting his wife's boss to believe he's through with his naughty habits.

"My problem is that I have three women I have to convince that I'm cured: Huma, her mother -- and Hillary," Weiner, 46, told a friend recently.
Uh, if Huma's mother is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, she should have disowned her daughter for marrying a Jew in the first place. At the time, the only logical explanation for the marriage - according to Islam - was a conversion to Islam by Weiner. Islam strictly forbids Muslim females marrying non-Muslim males.

Enter the Muslim Brotherhood tactic known as Muruna. It was introduced by none other than Muslim Brotherhood leader, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has also collaborated with Huma's mother, Saleha. Muruna is a tactic of deception sanctioned by Qaradawi that allows Muslims to violate the most sacred prohibitions of their religion if they have a higher calling.

Known as the "Doctrine of Balance," this is the aspect of Muruna that would permit Huma to marry a non-Muslim male. It allows her to commit the egregious evil for a greater good.

If she wasn't practicing Muruna, if she truly committed herself to Anthony Weiner with no strings attached, there is no way that her Muslim Sisterhood mother would still have a relationship with her.

The bigger question is....

After all that's been uncovered, why is Huma Abedin still in the employ of Hillary Clinton?

Video: TIME's Joe Klein compares Rush Limbaugh to Jim Jones

This would be laughable if it wasn't such a blatant act of projection. While on a panel filled with leftists like Chris Matthews, TIME Magazine's Joe Klein compares conservative voters to the followers of Jim Jones. In fact, Klein makes a direct comparison between Jones and Rush Limbaugh, saying that the talk radio giant is believed by his minions to be God.

First, some history. Jim Jones was an avowed Marxist who had the Democratic Party in his back pocket. To varying degrees, he had the support of then (and current) California Governor Jerry Brown, Willie Brown, and Ralph Nader. He was also the quintessential Community Organizer

Before you watch Klein, check out this history lesson on Jim Jones. Caution: Jones frequently used the "N" word. Additional language warning as well.

Video: Democrat says "We're not looking at the Constitution..." on Contraception Mandate

I'd say that this is unprecedented but it's really not. However, it does peel back another layer of the hidden Democratic agenda. Back in April of 2010, Congressman Phil Hare (D-IL) told Adam Sharp of Sharp Elbows that he "doesn't worry about the Constitution" during a town hall meeting at which he defended Obamacare.

Fast forward to just this week at another town hall. This time, the speaker is Rep. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) and the subject is the HHS mandate that says religious providers must offer insurance to its employees that covers contraception. While Obamacare was primarily about the Individual mandate relative to the commerce clause, this mandate has to do with the very first amendment to the constitution. When Hochul was called on it, she had the same response as Hare.

Via Freedom's Lighthouse:

For grins, here is then Rep. Phil Hare in April of 2010:

Audio: American Judge implementing Sharia Law from the Bench

For all the Ron Pauliens who think the Islamic threat to America is overrated, it's time to take note. A Judge in Pennsylvania presided over a trial in which an atheist who dressed up as a "Muhammad zombie" during a Halloween parade was assaulted by an angry Muslim spectator. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania brought assault charges against the assailant, who thought it was against the law for anyone to do such a thing.

Those of us who live under the United States constitution know that is incorrect. Assaulting someone is against the law and freedom of expression is not.

That's not the worst part. The victim in this assault is a man named Ernest Perce. The Judge in the trial is a convert to Islam; his name is Mark Martin. Not only did Martin find for the defendant but he did so based solely on Sharia law. Additionally, Martin is now threatening to jail Perce for recording the audio of the proceedings and putting it on YouTube (below).

Stranger still is the fact that Perce got permission from Martin to make the recording!

Anyway, here is the audio of the proceedings, recorded by Perce. It is long but well worth it, particularly toward the end, when you hear the rationale for Martin's ruling. If you don't have time, Shoebat has a breakdown of some key times in the video where you can fast forward.

Just to give you an idea of what to expect, check out this quote from Martin, via Atlas Shrugs:
American Judge in American court (minute 29:50): "Our forefathers intended that we use the first amendment so that we could speak what's on our mind, not piss off other cultures..... Islam is not just a religion, it's their culture, their culture, the very essence, their very being. They pray five times a day, towards Mecca. To be a good Muslim before you die, you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca unless you are otherwise told you cannot because you are too ill, too elderly, whatever, you must make the attempt. Their greetings salum alaikum waliakum as-salm )as answered by voice), uh may god be with you. It is very common, their language, when they are speaking to each other, it is very common for them to say, uh allah willing, this will happen. It's they are so immersed in it. And what you've done is you've completey trashed their essence, their being. They find it very, very, very offensive. I am a Muslim. I find it very offensive ..... You are way outside your bounds of first amendment rights."
What say you, Ron Pauliens?

Ouch: Stephen Colbert Proxy-Circumcizes Dead Mormons

Tasteless? Yes. Relevant? Certainly. A foreshadowing of what to expect if Mitt Romney becomes the Republican nominee? Not only is it a foreshadowing but it's a small chip of ice from the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

It started with CNN delving into the Mormon practice of baptizing dead people by proxy, in which a living Mormon is baptized and simultaneously baptizes ten or so dead non-Mormons in an act of posthumous conversion. CNN made it news when it did several stories on the outrage of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who understandably had a problem with Holocaust victims appearing on the list.

Most recently, it was learned that Anne Frank appeared on the Mormon list. Here, Stephen Colbert gets quite down and dirty with the Mormon practice and brings out a Jewish intern to posthumously convert several dead Mormons to Judaism. Note during this clip that Colbert plays an excerpt from MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell referring to these proxy baptisms.

Anyone who supports a Romney nomination better wake up because he will be bludgeoned by this issue and he will lose not because of his liberal record, his flip-flops on abortion, his being pigeon-holed as part of the 1%, or RomneyCare. All of that will be dwarfed by what the liberal media will do to him over his religion.

Oh, and Romney has admitted to participating in these proxy, posthumous baptisms.

Via MediaIte:

Question: Has anyone seen Colbert do anything remotely close to this when it comes to Islam?

Video: Newt Cow Tail vs. Piers Morgan Fly

Newt Gingrich's comments about the Qur'an burnings at Bagram by the U.S. Military got quite a bit of play yesterday primarily because it resonated so well with those of us who are fed up with A.) Rules of engagement and B.) the egregious double standard of who apologizes and who does not.

Here is Newt on CNN with Piers Morgan further enunciating his view. If Newt can continue talking like this, he is far more likely to get the support he saw in South Carolina. Each attempt by Morgan to trap Newt failed miserably.

Also, take note of Newt's reference to Col. Allen West. In the context of this exchange, West would make a very logical choice as a running mate for Gingrich.

Via MediaIte:

Video: Romney, Michigan's Trees, and Two Cars

At a campaign stop in Detroit, in Romney's home state, the former Massachusetts Governor went a bit overboard in his attempt at ingratiating himself with Michiganders. If you find yourself inclined to stop watching after Romney speaks glowingly of the trees in Michigan all being "the right height," don't (though I still can't figure out where he was going with that, the closest I can come is an obscure Goldilocks metaphor, but I digress).

Romney then muses aloud about all of the American made cars he and his wife have owned and then, while going down the list, said that his wife "drives two Cadillacs."

Does she drive them both at once, Mitt? Doesn't make much sense for a candidate who is already fighting the 1% Wall Street corporate elitist label, does it?

Folks, Obama so desperately wants this man to be the nominee, it's not even up for debate but for some reason, the establishment continues to push him on American voters.

Oh, Brother: Mormon Church Baptized Anne Frank

Folks, this is not going away. In fact, if Mitt Romney gets the Republican nomination, the liberal media is going to beat, beat, beat, beat, beat on his Mormon religion. Here is yet another taste of how they're going to do it. Last week, CNN interviewed Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel about the latter's displeasure with revelations that Simon Wiesenthal's parents had been put on the Mormon list of deceased Holocaust victims who needed to receive posthumous baptisms into the Mormon faith. Wiesel was also on the list and didn't like it very much.

Now, Anne Frank is on the list.

Via The Independent:
Anne Frank, the famous diarist and Holocaust victim, was put to death on account of her Jewish faith. But earlier this month, she was nonetheless secretly co-opted into the Mormon Church.

So claim researchers investigating the US-based Church’s practice of posthumously baptising dead people - sometimes without the knowledge and almost always against the will of surviving friends and family members.

Ms Frank was “christened” at a Mormon temple in the Dominican Republic, in apparent violation of a pact between the Church and Jewish leaders. A local child, acting as her spiritual proxy, is believed to have been dunked in a font during the ceremony.

Computer records of the event register Ms Frank under her full name, Annelies Marie Frank, and say that she lived from 1929 to 1945. The baptism was “completed” at a temple in Santo Domingo on 18 February.
Of course, no story like this would be complete without at least one reference to Mitt Romney. The Independent has that too:
The practice also sometimes extends to the political arena. It was recently reported that Barack Obama’s late mother, Stanley Ann Durham, had been the subject of a ceremony. And Mitt Romney, the US presidential candidate, is believed to have held one for his dead father-in-law Edward, a staunch atheist.
I contend that this is one reason team Obama is licking its chops to face Romney. Mormonism will be under an assault the likes of which we've never seen and it is likely to torpedo Romney's chances.

Yahoo News has more on this Baptizing the Dead thing. Yes, they're tying it to Romney as well.

Video: Newt goes after Obama on Apologizing for Qur'an Burnings

Newt is absolutely right here. Obama used up his allotment of apologies to the Muslim world during his 2009 speech in Cairo. As you watch this clip of Gingrich, ask yourself if you can see Ron Paul saying this.

Via CNN:

Video: Mitt Romney / Ron Paul Alliance now Obvious?

Wouldn't you love to know how the Ron Paul purists rationalize this bit of hypocrisy? It is becoming increasingly apparent that there is some sort of a deal between Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. If true, the "incorruptible" congressman from Texas has apparently decided to compromise his principles and fight for the nomination of Mitt Romney.

Ron Paul, you know, the guy who touts himself as the only candidate who doesn't play politics and simply does what's right, is said to have reached an agreement with Mitt Romney. At least according to former Congressman Joe Scarborough, there is zero doubt. Ditto for campaign strategist Mark McKinnon.

The speculation is that the deal between Paul and Romney is that Senator Rand Paul will be offered the VP slot if Romney gets the nomination. One thing is for sure, though. In the debates, Romney and Paul have left each other alone.

Politics as usual, hey Pauliens? I thought Mitt Romney was Dracula without a cape.

Time for Catholic Church to Excommunicate Pelosi?

Perhaps it's time for the Catholic Church to do something bold, like excommunicate Nancy Pelosi. While speaking at Texas A&M, Pelosi poked her finger in the chest of the Catholic Church by twisting the entire HHS contraception mandate around and blaming the Church for not "enforcing" its teaching on contraception.

The argument from Pelosi is that since 98% of Catholic women use contraception and that, as a result, the Catholic Church should shut up and pay for it because it hasn't been effective at preventing its use. First of all, if there's one thing that has been proven over and over and over again, it's that Democrats lie when quoting statistics so I don't believe her 98% figure at all (remember when the Obama administration's claim that 90% of the guns used in crimes in Mexico came from the United States?).

Second, if the Catholic Church was "enforcing" its teaching on contraception, Pelosi would be acting like a caged animal, throwing hay up in the air about it. If you've ever wondered what a "heads I win, tails you lose" argument is, this is it.

Nonetheless, if Pelosi wants to play hardball with the Catholic Church by saying it should shut up and pay for its employees' contraceptives because it hasn't enforced its own teachings, I can think of no better response from the Church than to say, "You know what, Nancy? You're right. We haven't been enforcing our own teachings and we're going to change that today, starting with you. We are hereby excommunicating you from the Catholic Church because of your position on abortion."

Obama on Gas Prices Then vs. Now

First up, Barack Obama on the Campaign trail four years ago, touting wind, solar, and bio-fuels. Note that he talks about not having to worry about high gas prices in future summers because of his promise to invest in alternative energy sources. More than three years into his term, which started with gas prices at about $1.85 / gallon, is the specter of $4 / gallon gasoline and $500 Million down the Solyndra money pit.

Contrast that with what White House press secretary Jay Carney said just yesterday about their being no magic solutions to high gas prices:

Via POLITICO:

Ok, so in 2008, we were told that because of our investment in solar panels, we wouldn't have to worry about high gas prices. In 2012, the administration admits failure without admitting failure by saying there are "no magic solutions."

So, then, who was the genius who told Obama to tout algae as an alternate energy source just this week in Miami. I'd say algae being the answer to high gas prices is rather magical:

Just a few months ago, in addition to touting "algae" as a solution, Obama suggested "wood chips" and "switchgrass" would be good too.

Again, pretty magical, eh Mr. Carney? Oh, if lies were switchgrass, just think of the possibilities.

Ann Coulter campaigning for a Democrat; No, really

Did you know that the founder of Operation Rescue and ardent pro-life activist Randall Terry is running for president... as a Democrat? Not only that but Ann Coulter is scheduled to speak at one of his fundraisers.

Via the Daily Caller:
While conservative commentator Ann Coulter has been firmly in GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s corner during the primary season, the ardently pro-life pundit will also be speaking at a fundraising event for a candidate running in the Democratic presidential primary.

Randall Terry, a primary challenger to President Barack Obama, however, is not just any Democratic candidate. Terry, a pro-life activist, is running purely to raise awareness about abortion.

Coulter explained to The Daily Caller that her participation in the fundraising event is to show “solidarity with the pro-life movement.”
Terry appears to be doing in the Democratic Party what Ron Paul is doing in the Republican Party. Both men have virtually no shot at winning the nomination and are staying in the race to make their issues relevant. Paul's libertarian agenda is what drives him and Terry's pro-life agenda does the same. Terry has openly conceded that he's in the race primarily to draw attention to the abortion issue.

Interestingly, this comes at a time when the Obama campaign has demonstrated that it wants to move away from abortion and make the issue about contraception.

Renege: Muslim Brotherhood taking the mask off in Egypt and Tunisia

There is a narrative being pushed by western leaders right now that the Muslim Brotherhood is "moderate" in comparison to Iran. That narrative has come from none other than the Muslim Brotherhood itself. Naturally, once that premise is accepted, the Brotherhood is perceived as the lesser of two evils and is supported by the West in places like Syria, for example.

This is exactly how the Brotherhood wants it and the West is playing right into their hands. The latest indicator can be found in both Tunisia and Egypt, where Islamists there are already reneging on their pledge to moderate.

From Reuters, via Jerusalem Post:
PARIS - After months of reassuring secularist critics, Islamist politicians in Tunisia and Egypt have begun to lay down markers about how Muslim their states should be -- and first signs show they want more religion than previously admitted.

Islamist parties swept the first free elections in both countries in recent months after campaigns that stressed their readiness to work with the secularists they struggled with in the Arab Spring revolts against decades-long dictatorships.

With political deadlines looming, the Tunisian coalition led by the reformist Islamist Ennahda party and the head of Egypt's influential Muslim Brotherhood both made statements this week revealing a stronger emphasis on Islam in government.

Popular List, an Ennahda coalition member tasked with writing Tunisia's new constitution, announced on Monday its draft called Islam "the principle source of legislation" -- a phrase denoting laws based on the sharia moral and legal code.

On Tuesday, Egyptian Brotherhood leader Mohamed Badie said his group wanted a president with "an Islamic background." That term is vague, but not as vague as the conciliatory "consensus candidate" talk heard from most parties until now.

Secularists in both countries warned voters against trusting the Islamists and these subtle changes could have come straight from a secularist playbook on how Islamists would gradually insert more religion into the political and legal systems.
The Brotherhood has been very effective at duping the west for several reasons, not least among them being the power its organizations have been able to acquire in western halls of power (CAIR and ISNA among them). Another reason is the tactic known as Muruna; it affords Islamists the ability to violate the very tenets of Islam in order to deceive in the name of a greater goal. This technique also goes a long way toward portraying themselves as moderate.

Gun in ICE Agent's death linked to ATF Operation

Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and ICE agent Jaime Zapata were both murdered in the line of duty. Terry's death seems to have gotten more attention for two reasons. One, he was gunned down inside the U.S. border with Mexico. Two, the guns found at his murder scene came from ATF's Operation Fast and Furious, a gun-walking operation sanctioned by Terry's government. Zapata was killed in Mexico and the origin of the guns used to kill him were not proven to have been as closely connected to the ATF.

Well, thanks to CBS' Sharyl Attkisson, one of the guns used in Zapata's murder has now been proven to have come from an ATF operation. A suspicious aspect to this involves a conviction of the man who possessed the gun and Zapata's family never knew he was implicated in the murder.

Via CBS:
Prosecutors recently sentenced a Texas man, Manuel Barba, for trafficking a weapon connected to the murder of Immigration and Customs (ICE) Agent Jaime Zapata. Nobody was more astonished to learn of the case than Zapata's parents, who didn't know that Barba had been arrested or linked to their son's murder.

"The family was obviously surprised to learn that there was a case involving a weapon linked to the Zapata incident," attorney Trey Martinez told CBS News. Martinez represents Zapata's parents and the surviving ICE agent in the assault, Victor Avila. "They were surprised they had never been contacted in the capacity as victims so they could give a response or some kind of reaction at the time of sentencing."
Perhaps this goes a long way in explaining why the Zapata family was kept in the dark...
In a related development, CBS News has obtained documents showing that Barba was under ATF surveillance for at least six months before a rifle he trafficked was used in Zapata's murder. Zapata's government vehicle was ambushed by suspected cartel thugs in Mexico Feb. 15, 2011.

Documents indicate ATF opened its case against Barba, entitled "Baytown Crew," in June of 2010. During the investigation, court records state Barba recruited straw purchasers and "facilitated the purchase and exportation of at least 44 firearms" including assault rifles. On August 20, 2010 Barba took delivery of the WASR-10 semi-automatic rifle later used in Zapata's murder, obliterated its serial number, and sent it to Mexico with nine others just like it. Nearly two months later, on Oct. 8, 2010, ATF agents recorded a phone call in which Barba "spoke about the final disposition of ... firearms to Mexico and also about the obliterating of the serial numbers before they were trafficked." Barba told straw purchasers the guns were destined for the Zeta drug cartel.
Dave Workman at the Gun Rights Examiner received an e-mail from Senator Charles Grassley that said, in part:
"I've been asking for information from the departments of Justice and Homeland Security on the circumstances surrounding the murder of ICE Agent Zapata for almost a year, only to be met with resistance and more of the same stonewalling. If these revelations prove to be true, it's a sad commentary that this known trafficker was allowed to continue his illegal purchases, including trafficking the apparent weapon used in the murder of our own agent."
It's nice to see that Senator Grassley believes this report is a "sad commentary" and that he's reiterating what we've all known for over a year now, that's he's being stonewalled, but this righteous rhetoric needs to transition to righteous action soon. I realize Grassley is the ranking member and has limited power but DOJ needs to start coughing up documents or be held in contempt, which is something Rep. Darrell Issa's office has been hinting at doing but has already backed down once.

Be sure to read Attkisson's entire piece. It reveals a lot of smoke, and you know what they say about smoke.

Houston, TX: Eagle Forum taking on Fethullah Gulen Charter schools

Perhaps the most dangerous Islamist in America - Fethullah Gulen - has watched as Harmony charter schools - modeled after his teachings - have sprung up all over the world, many in the United States. One particular hotbed for those schools is Houston, TX.

Vice President of Texas' Eagle Forum, MerryLynn Gerstenschlager is calling for legislation that will require all charter schools to be operated by U.S. citizens exclusively.

Via Houston Chronicle:
With 36 campuses, Harmony has become the state’s largest charter school system.

“Thousands of American children are becoming sympathetic to the Turkish way of life,” MerryLynn Gerstenschlager told the House Public Education Committee last week.

She is vice president of the Eagle Forum, which is concerned about the influence of Turkish billionaire Fethullah Gulen, whom she cast as the driving force behind Harmony schools.

Gulen lives in Pennsylvania but controls Turkey TV stations and newspapers, Gerstenschlager told the committee. She also views him as someone who desires to turn Turkish government into an Islamist system.

“If Gulen’s control can reach across the seas to Turkey, how much easier would it be for him to ask allegiance from the impressionable children educated in Turkish charter schools within our borders?” she asked.
Amazingly, state lawmakers seem to be oblivious to this very real threat.
House Public Education Committee members did not share the Eagle Forum’s concerns about Harmony charter schools.

Rep. Alma Allen, D-Houston, says she has “a large Turkish community in my district and several Harmony schools in my district. I think they are fabulous. I don’t think they teach religion.”
It ain't just Democrats who don't get it:
Rep. Mark Shelton, R-Fort Worth, told Gerstenschlager the Harmony charter school in his district is immensely popular.

“They are lining up trying to get into that school. Parents are thrilled. I am just not hearing anyone saying that there’s some problem in the school related to the issues you are talking about,” the physician-lawmaker told her.

She repeated her standard refrain: “They are learning Turkish culture, and I believe these impressionable young children will become sympathetic to Turkey.”
A simple search of Fethullah Gulen will reveal why these schools are so dangerous. Yet, politicians are out to lunch on the issue. Last year, the Texas state legislature passed a resolution, without objection, that honored Gulen.

Video: Chris Christie tells Warren Buffet to 'Shut up'

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has quite a few weaknesses (his support for Mitt Romney not the least among them) but those 'play it safe' politicians could sure take a lesson from him. Here he is with Piers Morgan, who wasn't too subtle in his attempt to argue for tax increases. Once Morgan brought up the name Warren Buffet as someone who has been calling for higher taxes, Christie tells him that Buffet either needs to write a tax check or 'shut up.'

Ron Paul's lack of Fiscal Transparency

Ain't this interesting. Whenever the subject of the Federal Reserve is brought up to Ron Paul, one of the things he makes hay about is the institution's secrecy; it's hiding something very big. It's one of the things he points to right before he demands that the Fed be audited.

However, it seems Dr. Paul has something about which he should be open to showing others. In particular, on several occasions, the congressman from Texas was allegedly reimbursed twice for various flights. The worst part? He allegedly knew about it.

Via Big Government:
Rep. Paul, through his offices, has repeatedly refused to cooperate by providing access to the Congressman and pertinent staff members. As an elected member of government, it would look better if Paul set an example for the same type of transparency in his professional financial dealings, as he has long advocated for with regard to other branches of government.
I have a suggestion for Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke the next time he is testifying before a congressional committee.

He should say the following before he issues his opening statement.

"I hereby call for an audit of Congressman Ron Paul's plane ticket reimbursements."

More at Roll Call.

Founder of the George Soros-funded Media Matters, David Brock, was approached about recent reports that the strategy for his organization in 2012 included hiring private investigators to look into the private lives of Fox News employees. Instead, he ran inside.

Video: U.S. General Apologizes for Burning Qur'ans

Where on earth were these apologies when the U.S. Military burned Bibles at the same Bagram military base in 2009? The best part? General John R. Allen referred to the offended party as being the "noble people of Afghanistan." Are these the same "noble people" that proceeded to act like undignified savages after it was learned that the Qur'ans had been burned?

Via NPR:
In a video that underscores how seriously the U.S. military and NATO are taking something that profoundly offends Muslims, the commander of international forces in Afghanistan today apologizes four times for what he says was the improper disposal — burning, apparently — of Qurans and other Islamic religious materials at Bagram Air Field north of Kabul.

Word of what U.S. Gen. John Allen says was the unintentional actions of some International Security Assistance Force troops on the base led to a protest today by more than 2,000 angry Afghans outside the air field, The Associated Press reports. The wire service says that some protesters shouted "die, die foreigners!" and fired shots into the air.

During his 90-second video message, which the BBC says has been played repeatedly on Afghan TV today, Allen says:

— An investigation has begun.

— Such actions have been stopped.

— He has ordered "this does not ever happen again."

— "I assure you ... I promise you ... this was not intentional in any way."

And he apologizes to the president of Afghanistan, the government of Afghanistan and "most importantly ... to the noble people of Afghanistan."
Here's General John R. Allen. I don't know who's responsible for this position of the military but it has become quite embarrassing and it's long past being tiresome.

Can you imagine General Patton or MacArthur doing this? If so, please let me know how you're able to do it because I'm having trouble.

Video: Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman on Arming Syrian Rebels

File this one in the "Someone at the top is making some sense," category. General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told CNN's Fareed Zakaria that the United States should not rush into a decision to arm the Syrian rebels. Though such a position might cause John McCain to get red in the face and Lindsey Graham to stomp and stammer, it's an extremely wise position.

Via CNN:
The United States is not interested in providing weapons to opposition forces in Syria until it has a better picture of what those forces are, the top U.S. military officer said in an interview aired Sunday.

"I think it's premature to take a decision to arm the opposition movement in Syria, because I would challenge anyone to clearly identify for me the opposition movement in Syria at this point," Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS."

More than 50 prominent U.S. conservatives signed an open letter last week urging the Obama administration to "take immediate action" against the Syrian regime, including "self-defense aid" to an armed opposition led by defected government troops. Among the signatories were some of the leading voices in support of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, as well as the former head of the U.S.-led occupation government there.
And Sen. Joe Lieberman told CNN last week that a "coalition of the willing" should assist Syria's opposition forces since Syrian allies Russia and China vetoed action at the United Nations. Lieberman, a Democrat-turned-independent who was also a leading Iraq hawk, said the United States and its allies could provide the rebels with medical aid, communications and ultimately, weapons.
It is simply AMAZING that supposedly intelligent people are so completely oblivious to what is going on with the Muslim Brotherhood. McCain, Graham, and Lieberman cannot possibly be this clueless, can they? In every instance so far where there has been the removal of a dictator during the Arab Spring, the Muslim Brotherhood is filling the void. Why on earth would these people advocate for such a scenario in Syria? Perhaps it's because muruna is working.

New Low for Romney: Robo-Calls of Santorum Endorsing him... in 2008!

This really is despicable and I hope it hurts Romney more than it helps him. In 2008, when he was not running for president, Rick Santorum appeared on the Laura Ingraham show and endorsed Mitt Romney's candidacy over John McCain. In perhaps the sleeziest tactic yet, Romney's Super PAC sent out robo-calls in Michigan that featured Santorum's endorsement from that interview.

Via the Detroit Free Press:
Some Michiganders — this reporter included — got what may have been a surprising call over the weekend: Romney’s chief rival Rick Santorum endorsing Mitt Romney.

The endorsement was in 2008, when Romney was running for president (and Santorum wasn’t). In an interview about the endorsement at the time, Santorum said he hesitated about who to endorse but decided on Romney as the best alternative to John McCain. The robocall was presumably paid for by either the campaign or the Super PAC supporting Romney.

After a short introduction in the automated call to Michigan voters, Santorum says: “If you’re a conservative, there really is only one place to go right now. I would even argue farther than that. If you’re a Republican, if you’re a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now, and that’s Mitt Romney.”
That's so pathetic, I'll bet even Obama cringed when he heard about it. It also shows how desperate Romney's campaign is to win Michigan. If he loses there, he's toast. It'd be nice to see this despicable attempt to save his candidacy actually sink it.

Here's the audio from the 2008 interview:

Video: Santorum Aid calls Obama's Policies "Radical(ly) Islamic"

Frankly, I think it's a mistake to walk this one back. The key moment comes just after the 1:20 mark. Rick Santorum's spokesperson Alice Stewart was on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell to defend her candidate's comments about Obama's theology. It's clear that Stewart didn't intend to say "(Obama's) radical Islamic policies" but it was definitely something that has a ring of truth to it, not because of Obama's theology but because of how his policies ARE benefiting radical Islamists.

Frankly, this is an opportunity that Santorum's camp could use to its advantage. First of all, there is a significant portion of his base that actually believes Obama has Islamic sympathies and what would make meat redder than a presidential candidate's spokesperson echoing the sentiment? Second, has anyone noticed that no one has benefited better from Obama's policies than the very radical Muslim Brotherhood? Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Maurutania, Morocco, and now Syria all seem to be falling into the hands of the Brotherhood.

Santorum could easily go on offense here instead of walking this freudian slip back by saying, well, yeah, Obama's policies are both radical and pro-Islamic.

h/t GWP

Of course, if Santorum's campaign decides against doubling down and standing by Stewart's comments, the best response would be the dredging up of Obama's interview with George Stephanoplous in 2008 when then-candidate Obama referred to his "Muslim faith" before Steph helped him correct it on the spot. Santorum's camp could tell the media that if it chooses to go after his campaign for a misstep, Obama's misstep in the same respect in 2008 should be fair game.

Now John McCain wants to Arm Syrian Rebels

Seriously, Senator John McCain is proving to be very dangerous to his country. He continues to say and do things that feed right into the Muslim Brotherhood's hands. It is truly amazing to watch. Despite video of the Syrian rebels with al-Qaeda flags behind them, McCain - along with RINO Lindsey Graham - want to provide them support in the form of weapons.

Via The Hill:
Two prominent Republican U.S. senators urged that the United States arm opposition forces in Syria Sunday as the government of Bashar al-Assad continued a bloody crackdown on the protests that have engulfed the nation.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who both serve on the Senate Armed Services committee, argued that arming rebel fighters in the country could help beat back a Syrian government with close ties to Iran.

“Breaking Syria apart from Iran could be as important to containing a nuclear Iran as sanctions,” Graham said at a press conference in Kabul, according to the New York Times. “If the Syrian regime is replaced with another form of government that doesn’t tie its future to the Iranians, the world is a better place.”
What these two buffoons don't seem to understand is that if Syria falls into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, the situation there would be much worse. Arming the rebels is the worst possible thing we could do. Not only does it help a Muslim Brotherhood that is growing increasingly powerful but it also angers Iran. I'm all for being tough with Iran but getting in the middle of a dog fight and siding with the bigger of the two dogs is the quintessential lose / lose scenario.
“I believe there are ways to get weapons to the opposition without direct United States involvement,” McCain said. “The Iranians and the Russians are providing Bashar Assad with weapons. People that are being massacred deserve to have the ability to defend themselves.”

“So I am not only not opposed, but I am in favor of weapons being obtained by the opposition,” McCain added.
Not sure why McCain in particular is so thick-headed but for some reason, America's leaders are simply out to lunch when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood. Remember James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, saying this last year?

This was either perjury or a level of incompetence so severe, he should have been fired.

Video: Liberal Media scared Romney might lose

Liberals lie. It's what they do. Once you accept that premise, this exchange on Meet the Press is much easier to process. The narrative among the establishment is that Mitt Romney has the best chance to beat Obama. I still haven't figured out the thick-headedness of the Republican establishment and why it believes that. Mitt Romney will be filleted if he wins the nomination.

Enter Helene Cooper, the White House correspondent for the New York Times. As such, she is an undeniable liberal. Therefore, she lies. Take note of what she says here. The Obama administration thinks it will "crush" Santorum or Gingrich but is just confident that it can beat Romney. Assuming that liberals lie - which they do - why would the White House issue that message? Because it really wants to face Romney. Think about it. Why would a liberal tell the truth?

h/t Hapblog:

This recent piece by CNN shows exactly why the White House wants to face Romney. His religion will become a central issue if he wins the nomination. Look for the media to pull back on pieces like this for a while, as long as Romney's nomination is in doubt:

Here is Newt in 2008 explaining how pathetically poor the operations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were. Note at the very beginning that Newt issues a full disclosure about doing work for Freddie. He then goes on to chastise both institutions.

There have been a lot of past videos of Newt that have come back to haunt him during this election season. This is one that should do the opposite.

Syrian Rebels flying Al-Qaeda Flags, McCain wrong again

Senator John McCain's record as a prognosticator is quite sad. In 2008, he told a town hall that they did "not have to be scared" (of an Obama presidency). In April of 2011, he went to Libya and told Al-Jazeera that the rebels there were his "heroes." Once his heroes had seen the overthrow of Gadhafi, they flew the al-Qaeda flag from atop the Benghazi Courthouse.

Apparently quite thick-headed, McCain is not getting the message even as the Syrian rebels are flying the al-Qaeda flag as well.

Via al-Wasat with h/t to Jawa:

Here is Senator McCain on Hannity's February 13th television show, doing his best "Baghdad Bob" impersonation, actually singing the praises of the Tunisian government and defending the Muslim Brotherhood's rise in Egypt.

There is simply no way McCain doesn't understand what's going on so these words he's uttering have to be the result of a political calculation. There comes a point, however, when such rhetoric, regardless of how well-intentioned it is, becomes harmful. We passed that point a long time ago, Senator.

McCain's views here are ridiculously foolish. Via Global Post:

Video: Have Ron Pauliens become PSYOP Victims?

Ron Paul supporters are a very passionate bunch. They're all in for their guy. A large majority of them are 9/11 Truthers who believe the United States government is responsible for 9/11. When you point out to them that there are a lot of Muslims and communists who share that view, they dismiss it. When anti-Semitic musings were revealed to have been published in his newsletters, his supporters dismissed it. When Eric Dondero, formerly a very close aid to Ron Paul, wrote that the Republican presidential candidate is "most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general," his supporters dismissed it. When it was discovered that Ron Paul quoted Robert Pape on his website as someone whose foreign policy views he respects, his supporters dismissed the fact that Pape has close ties to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). When Ron Paul says it's our fault that the Muslim world hates us, his supporters nod in agreement.

The examples are endless but here is what could be the perfect case in point for why the Pauliens are unwitting dupes. His name is Yousef al Khattab. Formerly known as Joseph Cohen, Khattab converted to Islam from Judaism. He co-founded a website named Revolution Muslim with a man named Younus Abdullah Muhammed, formerly named Jesse Curtis Morton. Younus was recently convicted of using the Internet to solicit murder. Since that conviction, Yousef has reportedly toned down his rhetoric.

Here is a Fox News report from 2008. In it, Khattab expresses support for the beheading and murder of Daniel Pearl, saying that he was a spy and was rightly convicted and executed. Note something else. According to Fox News reporter Rick Levanthal, Khattab completely rejects the United States constitution and America's founders.

What does this have to do with Ron Paul? Well, in 2012, Yousef al Khattab is suddenly a libertarian who supports the constitution and passionately supports Ron Paul. Here is a video from Khattab's YouTube channel. Pay particularly close attention at the 2:45 mark where he says he's a libertarian and a Ron Paul supporter. Then, at the 5:10 mark, Khattab says he believes in less government and that everything should be done constitutionally. He reiterates his support for Ron Paul and calls Israel a "terrorist enemy."

I have increasingly come to the conclusion that Ron Paul supporters have essentially become the victims of Islamist PSYOP techniques. The secret to this technique is to appeal to the preconceived notions of your enemy while getting that enemy to support your main agenda, either through acquiescence or activism.

Via Sipsey Street, this excerpt is straight out of the U.S. Army Field Manual:
Deception (military or political) includes manipulating, distorting, withholding, or falsifying evidence available to an opponent. History has shown that it is far easier to deceive by reinforcing an opponent’s existing preconceptions than it is to persuade him to change his mind. PSYOP personnel should encourage the opponent that the most likely way of achieving the objective will in fact be adopted (thereby diverting his attention from an alternative plan). Given two options, one of which reinforces our existing point of view, people are more likely to believe what they already suspect. Psychologically, they are gratified by evidence that confirms their preconceptions. People generally attach undue importance to evidence supporting their point of view and reject that which does not. PSYOP personnel should avoid deception that requires persuading a target audience of something it is not already predisposed to believe. -- U.S. Army Field Manual FM 33-1-1, Psychological Operations Techniques and Procedures, Appendix A, "Deception Operations."
Ron Paul has increasingly become an apologist for Islam while appealing to the righteous position of adhering to the U.S. Constitution while calling for things like a smaller government with drastic cuts in spending, which are positions that actually resonate with clear-thinking individuals.

The vast majority of Paul's supporters think the Islamic threat to America is "overrated" and that's just the way the Islamists like it.

Newly Revealed Islamic Tactic: Muruna

The Muslim Brotherhood's Yusuf al-Qaradawi has been elevated by the Obama administration of late. Recently, he was named as a key mediator between the United States and the Taliban. Not only is that a big mistake but thanks to the translation of Qaradawi's own words, it's been learned that a strategy known as muruna is being used against the West. Think of it as taqiyya on steroids.

In my latest collaborative effort with Walid Shoebat, we explore this tactic. It is definitely one that westerners need to know.

Via Pajamas Media:
Muruna: Violating Sharia to Fool the West
The Sunni doctrine of muruna takes taqiyya a step further.

Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack

Westerners who understand Islamic deception often refer to “taqiyya” as being the tactic of lying in order to guard the faith. Sunni Muslim apologists counter that taqiyya is a Shiite doctrine, while accusing Shiites of being rabblerousers who sanction “mut’a” (pleasure marriage), which is nothing more than prostitution.

Shiites can easily find equivalents to taqiyya and mut’a in the Sunni Muslim world. They are called “misyar” and “muruna.”

While Westerners cringe at the thought of religiously sanctioned prostitution like mut’a, they are less familiar with the Sunni-sanctioned misyar, which literally means “the traveler’s marriage.” It was established to assist with the sexual needs of travelers — a Sunni Muslim male may enter into a contract with a woman in order to gain sexual gratification without the financial obligation necessary to maintain a wife.

As a consequence, the sin of adultery never takes place because the sex contract is an official marriage license. An abundance of misyar “middlemen” can seal these interim deals. For internet savvy travelers, there are countless websites like Mesiaronline [1] that allow men to arrange these marriages globally, including in the United States, from the comfort of their hotel rooms.

Misyar was first made legal in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Sunnis who approve of misyar may condemn the Shiite practice of mut’a, which does not require two witnesses as misyar does. Shiites argue that Allah and the Qur’an are the only two witnesses they need.

Arabic translations reveal that Sunnis and Shiites have much more in common than just sanctioned prostitution. Few Westerners are familiar with the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood revival of the doctrine of muruna, which literally means “stealth” or “flexibility.” It is far worse than taqiyya, since it sanctions all prohibitions that block Muslim interests, even blasphemous ones.

Muruna allows Muslims to sow division and confusion in the Western world. In a recent sermon, this doctrine was exercised by General Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Muhammad Badei, who laid out [2] his vision for the post-revolutionary era while revealing aspects of a strategy followers should use to deal with secularism in the meantime:

Do not fight the ways of the world because they are overpowering but try to overcome and use them, change their course, and pit some of them against others.

When Badei says to “overcome and use” the “ways of the world”, he is instructing Muslims worldwide on how to overcome Western secularism. It was precisely this purpose for which muruna was prescribed by Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the main Muslim Brotherhood intellect who initiated it in December 1989 while in the United States during the annual conference of the Association of Muslim Youth Forums. He was with Mohammed Hamadi, a leading rebel in Libya who participated heavily in the “Arab Spring.” Hamadi is also the head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Mauritania.

This doctrine and long-term plan should be of great interest to Westerners. In what the forum termed “The Priorities of The Islamic Movement in The Next Three Decades” (from 1990 to 2020), they planned to attain what they described as “the goals of the Islamic Movement.” The plan confirms Badei’s utopian hope for the “establishment of an Islamic state, governed according to Qur’anic law — first in Egypt and eventually in the entire world.” Accordingly, muruna calls for “organized, popular work to return to Islam in order to lead society, all of society … to bring back the caliphate … to announce Jihad either by arms, by pen, or by heart.”

Muruna was designed to catapult and advance Sharia by using Western means. If one thinks that Sharia, with its harsh code, is problematic enough, how about the elimination of the kinder, gentler laws? Muruna is literally accomplished by permitting behavior normally so eschewed by Sharia that Westerners logically assume a more moderate version of Islam when such prohibitions are suddenly permitted. Westerners’ eyes are, in fact, deceiving them. Muruna is about going to great lengths to gain interests through a much deeper level of deception while simultaneously lowering the guard and gaining the support of the...

More Evidence Liberal Media will make Romney's Religion an Issue

As I wrote about here, the liberal media will absolutely, positively attempt to destroy Romney based on his Mormonism if he is the nominee. However, being the cagey deceivers that they are, it will be done under the guise of being informative. Make absolutely NO mistake; the left wing media will use subtle means to utterly destroy Mitt Romney's candidacy.

UPDATED with video:

CNN provides the latest case in point, posting an article entitled, "Explainer: How and why do Mormons baptize the dead?
"The recent disclosure that Mormons baptized the dead parents of Jewish Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal by proxy has sparked outrage in the Jewish world. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has apologized for the baptism, which it says resulted from the actions of a church member acting in violation of church policy. The LDS church vowed to stop baptizing Jewish Holocaust victims in 1995.

But proxy baptism for the dead is a proud Mormon tradition. Here are the basics about how it works and why Mormons do it.
The article then gives the reader a brief lesson on the subject...
For Mormons, baptizing the dead solves a big theological problem: How do billions of people who never had the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ – including those who lived before Jesus walked the earth – receive salvation? By baptizing the dead, a practice known as posthumous proxy baptism, Mormons believe they are giving every person who ever lived the chance at everlasting life. That includes Muslims, Hindus, atheists, pagans, whoever.

“Mormons believe that there is a place the dead go where they are in ‘spirit prison’ and where they have the chance to accept the Christian baptism,” says Richard Bushman, a Mormon scholar at Columbia University. “But it’s a duty to actually perform Christian ordinance of baptism, so Mormons seek out every last person who ever lived and baptize them.”

Many Mormons are proud of the fact that they attempt to make their faith universal through baptizing the dead. “Historically, Christians have been exclusive,” says Terryl Givens, an expert on Mormonism at the University of Richmond. “Catholics have taught that only Catholics are saved, and evangelicals say only if you confess according to their tradition. Mormons say, ‘No, salvation is open to all people.’”

“In that sense Mormonism is the most nonexclusive religion in the Christian world,” Givens says.
The liberal media can pump this stuff out and say it's just providing a service because one of the Republican candidates for president is a Mormon. That's not the reason at all; it's to plant seeds of doubt in the minds of non-Mormons who think something like Baptizing the dead is creepy. In essence, the liberal media can be religiously bigoted while not being seen as such.

Romney is not the candidate with the best chance to beat Obama. His religion is a primary reason because the left will subtly bludgeon him with it.

This is not new for CNN either. John King called Romney "Governor Mormon" and didn't skip a beat. We must assume that either there was no correction relayed in his ear piece or, if there was one, he ignored it.
