Proof Huma Abedin Should not be Employed by State Department

This particular story involving the connections of Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin, to the Muslim Brotherhood is extremely layered. Below is the second in a series of articles from Walid Shoebat and myself over Abedin's associations with members of the Muslim Brotherhood. This is beyond important and there are more stories to come. There is simply so much information, it's not possible to cull down into one article. Specifically, future articles will chronicle the backgrounds of the 63 leaders of the Muslim Sisterhood, their spouses, and male members.

Via Human Events:
U.S. Ignores Hillary Clinton's Powerful Aide Huma Abedin at Its Own Risk
Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack

A CIA/FBI agent was responsible for creating the first Al-Qaeda training manual from classified military sources; he covertly moved up through the ranks undetected until the Al-Qaeda spy, Egyptian born Ali Mohamed, was finally discovered. Though arrested in 1998, Mohamed's whereabouts and legal status remain unknown. Fort Hood Jihadist, Nidal Malik Hasan benefited from the same faulty screening.

Jordanian born “reformed” Jihadist Humam Al-Balawi deceived some anxious CIA agents concerning the whereabouts of Ayman Al-Zawahiri. As he passed their guard he detonated a suicide belt, killing the agents. We were the first to translate the sinister plan of this Taliban spy which was missed by the CIA but was advertised on his Arabic website for the whole Arabic world to read:

“When I drive my car at a traffic police station …my surroundings change by a push of a flash button. I will find myself martyred as I drive a booby trapped Laurie with a bomb heading towards the pagan guards…”

Why isn't the CIA monitoring the Arabic words and connections of these people?

Whether it's the CIA or the military, sophisticated surveillance is proving inadequate and proper background checks of Middle easterners aren't being done. Each example serves as another case in point. What makes us think that the State Department updated its virus protection program? Even more disconcerting than Ali and Al-Balawi is Hillary’s ‘aide’ and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin, who has been with Hillary since 1996; she was never properly screened and this will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

To be concerned about Huma’s access to sensitive information is an issue that will most likely garner unsolicited curses from ‘sensitive’ Americans who are enamored with her. These same people ignore this diva’s familial ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Lt. Col. Robert Anderson's detailed reports aimed at getting Army intelligence to investigate Ali Mohamed — and have him court-martialed — were also ignored.

Huma is even more potentially dangerous; she can leak State secrets. She is closely associated with her Muslim Brotherhood family and even joined Hillary at an event with Saleha Abedin – Huma's mother – at Dar El-Hekma University in Saudi Arabia. Also present was a close associate of Saleha – Suheir Qureshi. Qureshi's name later appeared in several prominent Arab newspapers when it was revealed that she belonged to a list of 63 members of the secret arm of the Muslim Brotherhood named The Sisterhood.

The full list was later revealed; Huma’s mother is on it. Huma's brother – Hassan Abedin – also collaborates with Omar Naseef and Sheikh Yousuf Qaradawi, two of the most influential terror supporters in the world.

Yet, as detractors argue ‘guilt by association’ they unwittingly strengthen our case, since this is what the FBI uses when investigating federal employees: “Character,” “Associates,” “Reputation,” and “Loyalty to the United States” (CARL). This checklist was never applied to Huma, who still associated with her family. Dismissing all this as “guilt by association” ignores a tough question:

Other than Huma Abedin, has there ever been a case whereby a family member who either belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood or was a prominent Islamist did not denounce a Muslim female relative who married a non-Muslim male?

It’s a question with only one answer; her family made an exception for her because Huma has a higher calling.

Westerners erroneously compare the ‘Middle East’ mindset with that of the ‘Midwest’ and fail to shift gears to understand the Muslim worldview. They do not comprehend the seriousness of a Muslim “daughter” or “sister” marrying a Jewish male, especially since the Islamic Shariah Faculty in Kuwait has deemed Huma’s marriage to a male Jew null and void.

While westerners portray the Sisterhood as a simple “mule service,” our own detailed research – which will be released shortly – reveals male supervisors as official members along with their wives/daughters; the list includes spies who proudly disclosed their heroic acts during Israel’s wars with Egypt. Others are Nazi-style propagandists; Nazi affiliates from the time of the Brotherhood’s inception; Hijab advocates in Europe; prominent doctors; popular conspiracy theorists and media icons that closely emulate the Goebbels propaganda machine of Nazi Germany.

The group's influence spans several international organizations from the United Nations to The United States to womens advocacy groups worldwide; its influence is immense. Overlooking this group – and by extension, Huma Abedin – is not dissimilar from ignoring Able Danger's revelations about Muhammad Atta prior to 9/11.

Any doubting Thomas must acknowledge the validity of the Sisterhood list because it follows the same agenda and direction shown on the Brotherhood's official website; it has been confirmed by Egyptian security services as well as top experts, including the Arab Center for Studies, headed by researcher Abdul Rahim Ali.

To give you a taste of this bitter herb, we will examine a single name before we publish all 63. Take Najla Ali Mahmoud, who is supervised by her husband Mohammed Aidalmrsi, member of the Guidance Bureau and the current leader of the Justice and Freedom Party (the Brotherhood’s new propaganda name). He recently appeared on National television and explained why “Egypt needs to ban western dress” and how “no one with a full mental faculty can believe in the Trinity.” He even condemned Egyptian monuments as “idols.” It differs from the Taliban only in that it has a western propaganda machine.

Will Egypt do to the Sphinx as the Taliban did to the Buddhist statues in Bamyan? Will Egypt perpetrate a holocaust on Coptic Christians who are already portrayed as having a mental deficiency for believing in the Trinity?

And while this ‘Gobbles’ runs his propaganda machine, the naysayers demand evidence of Huma’s membership in this notorious group. Would someone appoint the daughter of Magda and Joseph Goebbels as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Cordell Hull—the Secretary of State during World War II—arguing that she is not a member of the Nazi party?

It is also not “racist” to compare the Muslim Brotherhood with the Nazis; Hassan Al-Banna, the grandfather of Tariq Ramadan (Ramadan's ban from the U.S. was lifted by Hillary) collaborated with my grandfather’s associate and Hitler henchman Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who became the Muslim Brotherhood leader after the war. Neither has the Brotherhood repented; they still take pride in their collaboration with the Nazis.

And while the U.S. House of Representatives debated whether to cut off funds for Obama's military campaign in Libya, which aids the Brotherhood-backed rebels, Clinton challenged Congress over its position asking, “Whose side are you on?”

This is a question Hillary should ask herself.

Even the team that was set up by the State Department’s policy designed to “engage the Moderate Muslim world” was infiltrated without even screening its contributor, the Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer and – Egyptian by heritage – Ground Zero Mosque Imam, Sheikh Feisal Abdul Rauf who only moderates his tone in English.

Promoting a moderate Muslim Brotherhood is like promoting “Capitalistic-Communism” to defeat Russia during the Cold War or even a “pro-Jew Nazism” during WWII. A More current and real-life example is “Chrislam.”

Hillary’s “inclusion policy” brought in spies, and this is how she plans to soften the Muslim Brotherhood? Hillary’s use of oxymoronic formulas to combat terrorism is worse than the moronic path taken by the likes of Humam Al-Balawi, who killed his enemy while we bolster the confidence of ours.

Huma was never properly screened and unless this diva answers some tough questions, the issue we set forth regarding the failure to screen her, is an ironclad case.

Ruh Roh: Is DOJ's Explanation for Stonewall Backfiring?

This one might get filed in the 'we didn't see that coming' department. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa has subpoenaed documents from the ATF and he has been consistently stonewalled by the DOJ. The reason given by Eric Holder for not relinquishing the requested documents is that there are ongoing investigations taking place that involve straw purchasers. It's a lame argument because, as Issa told Holder last month, 'we're not looking at straw purchasers, we're looking at you.' There appears to be another twist to this angle that may catch Holder and company flat-footed.

The Daily Caller reports that the defense attorneys for those straw purchasers may be demanding the same documents in Discovery that DOJ won't release to Issa:
Texas criminal defense lawyers are investigating the Justice Department’s Fast and Furious investigation of cross-border gun smuggling, using routine “discovery” rules that allow defendants to look for flaws in prosecutors’ evidence, statements and purpose.

“As the lawyer for Jose Sauceda–Cuevas, I’ve got to look at every possibility,” including agency misconduct, that would help him in the courtroom, said David Dudley, a Harvard-trained criminal defense lawyer based in Los Angeles.

The U.S. Attorney for the Arizona district is charging Dudley’s client with 25 counts related to gun trafficking. The charges include 10 false statement made during gun purchases, five identity theft charges, five counts for felony possession of a gun, and “five counts of Illegal Alien in Possession of a Firearm,” according to a May 19 press statement.
Is the DOJ stonewall going to be broken from an unprotected flank?

Something's gonna give soon.

Video: Top State Dept Lawyer says U.S. Entered Libya Lawfully

Top State Department lawyer Harold Koh's position is that the Obama administration did not enter Libya illegally. This may not be shocking but Koh's position is rather interesting when one considers that there is evidence suggesting that he is a proponent of Sharia law. Again, we keep coming back to this Muslim Brotherhood angle as being the only logical explanation for why this State Department's policy in Libya is to back those who are backed by the Brotherhood.

Here, Senator James Risch (R-ID), reads a quote from Barack Obama from 2008 that would very much contradict the decision to go into Libya. Risch then asks Koh if Obama still believes it. You can guess what happens next. Koh minimizes the statement while asserting that the war in Libya is legal.

Via the Daily Caller:

In 2009, Islamic expert Daniel Pipes wrote about Koh's views about things such as Sharia law. He quotes from a New York Post article that is no longer available online but here is the relevant portion:
...what brings Koh to attention here is his apparent endorsement of Islamic law within the American court system. Clyne writes:

A New York lawyer, Steven Stein, says that, in addressing the Yale Club of Greenwich in 2007, Koh claimed that "in an appropriate case, he didn't see any reason why sharia law would not be applied to govern a case in the United States."
The U.S. State Department appears to be fully on board with a policy in Libya that involves backing the Muslim Brotherhood. We are left to conclude practically nothing else. Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff - and closest adviser - Huma Abedin has familial ties with the Brotherhood; senior adviser Alec Ross told a crowd in London last week that the Arab Spring is 'leaderless' and the result of internet technology that is the 'Che Guevara' of the 21st century; now we have the State Department's top lawyer Harold Koh - who endorses the application of Sharia Law in the U.S. - saying that the operation in Libya is lawful.

We already know Hillary endorses the war because she rhetorically asked Congress last week, 'Whose side are you on?'

Anyone feel infiltrated yet?

Explosive: ATF Director Will be Spilling the Proverbial Beans

This could be the most explosive development yet, regarding the Project Gunrunner scandal. ATF Director Kenneth Melson is now officially scheduled to meet with the Senate Judiciary Committee and Rep. Darrell Issa over what he knew about Operation Fast and Furious. Since Melson is not going quietly under the administration's bus, this can really only mean one thing; authorization for the program did not originate at ATF. Anyone who's been following the story knows that but Melson's refusal to step down, coupled with his willingness to now talk to Issa all but confirms it.

Bob Owens at Pajamas Media outlines five possible scenarios as a result of this new bit of information. The first one is one of the most unlikely, that Melson takes the fall. The logic says he'd have done that by now if he was going to do it at all. The second is that Asst Atty General Lanny Breuer takes the fall. While Owens says this is the most likely because of Breuer's loyalty to the Democrat Party, this scandal may be too big for anyone to just 'take the fall.' Here is what Owens says about scenario #3:
3. Breuer isn’t the highest link in the chain: Melson implicates Attorney General Eric Holder.

Chairman Issa states that AG Holder “absolutely” knew about Gunwalker earlier than he testified that he did, and if Issa has the evidence to prove that the attorney general is part of a cover-up, then there is every reason to suspect Holder will be forced to resign, or will face impeachment.

This is a far more likely scenario than many think.
In Scenario #5, Owens says that the possibility of Melson's testimony leading directly to the White House is the 'least likely.' That means it would be less likely than Melson falling on the sword, which doesn't appear likely at all. The likelihood of this scandal reaching the White House might just be stronger than anyone's willing to admit at this point. It's that big. READ IT ALL.

Texas' TSA 'Anti-Groping' Bill Passes Both Houses

Last week, Texas House Speaker Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) pledged he wouldn't allow the anti-groping bill to come to the floor for a vote and that it was nothing more than a 'publicity stunt.' Today, the bill has been slightly re-worded and has passed both the House and Senate. As the special legislative session is scheduled to come to an end, both Houses need to reconcile their respective versions of the bill. Perhaps adding to the urgency was the fact that a State Rep. and Texas Public Utilities Commission (PUC) were victims of TSA sexual assault.

The 95 year-old woman who had to remove her adult diaper may have put this one over the top.

Via Reuters:
Legislation to make enhanced airport security pat-downs a crime if they involve touching a passenger's "private" areas was approved by the Texas House and Senate on Monday.

The moves came just days after the measure appeared dead when the House speaker called the provisions "unenforceable" and "an embarrassment to the state of Texas."

By passing the bill, the "Texas Legislature is not only telling the (Transportation Security Administration) to change their policies - we're telling the Obama Administration that we will not be intimidated and we will vigorously defend our Constitutional rights," Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, who presides over the Senate, said in a statement.

The two chambers passed similar measures as the special legislative session's conclusion on Wednesday approaches.
Straus' about face on this very welcome news and should serve as a testament to a very engaged Texas public.

Gaza Flotilla Part II About to Set Sail

It's being reported that the radical passengers on the second Gaza flotilla will attempt to use chemicals against Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) if the latter attempts to stop the former. In another development, members of the flotilla are crying foul, saying that one of the ships had its propeller cut. Based on the tactics used by these thugs, I have no doubt one of them cut it and is blaming the Jews. My 'Pallywood' antennae are officially up on that one.

Via Ynet:
Military elements monitoring the Gaza flotilla said that radical elements taking part in the sail have said they were planning "surprises for the IDF" and plan to kill many soldiers.

The information suggests that radicals are planning to equip some of the vessels with bags containing chemicals, possibly sulfur, which they will use against soldiers who may try to take over the ships.

It has recently been estimated that only eight ships will take part in the sail, instead of 15. Some 500 activists are expected to board the vessels, half the original estimated number. They will include several prominent Hamas members such as Amin Abu Rashad, who heads a charity in Holland and Mohammed Ahmed Hanoun.

Meanwhile, some activists claim the ships have been tampered with. "They sabotaged the ship. They cut the propeller's hinge below water while the ship was in the port of Piraeus in Athens," Israeli expat Dror Feiler told Ynet. He added that the malfunction is currently being fixed.
Just like in the first Gaza flotilla, the ships have a sufficient supply of useful idiots so the mission can be portrayed as peaceful. Why take hostages when you have willing props like Code Pink's Medea Benjamin?

One of the ships is named 'Audacity of Hope' by Obama friend and former PLO associate, Rashid Khalidi.

Video: Fired ATF Agent Vince Cefalu Explains Scandal and Termination

Agent Vince Cefalu was terminated from the ATF very shortly after Issa sent a letter to ATF Deputy Director William Hoover, warning him about reprisals against any agents who testified against the agency. With Acting Director Kenneth Melson still heading the agency, Cefalu's termination becomes all the more ironic as he has been among the most outspoken critics of the ATF and the very scandalous Project Gunrunner / Operation Fast and Furious programs, in which countless people were killed due to a 'felony stupid' policy at the ATF.

Cefalu is the agent responsible for starting CleanupATF.org

HERE is a copy of the letter Issa sent to Hoover.

How Sick is Hugo?

Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez is known to be sick in the head but how sick is he in the hip? Apparently, the communist leader of Venezuela has been in Cuba since June 10th for medical treatment. Here we are more than two weeks later and the one guy who seeks out cameras as much as - if not more than - Barack Obama has been conspicuously silent. His spokesmen seem to be a little defensive about the speculation, saying that Hugo is fine and will be back on the public stage by July 5th.

Via TVNZ, h/t JWF:
Senior allies of Venezuela's socialist President Hugo Chavez have dismissed reports he is sicker than the government has admitted, telling his enemies to "stop dreaming" of his death.

The normally verbose leader has not been seen in public since a June 10 operation in Cuba to remove a pelvic swelling. His long absence has prompted widespread speculation he may be seriously ill, possibly being treated for prostate cancer.

Accusing opponents of cynically rejoicing at his health problems, government officials insist Chavez, 56, is fine and that he should be back for a regional summit planned for Venezuela's 200th anniversary of independence on July 5.

"President Chavez is recovering well from his surgery. His enemies should stop dreaming and his friends should stop worrying," Vice Foreign Minister Temir Porras said on the social networking site Twitter.

"The only thing that has metastasized is the cancer of the Miami Herald and the rest of the right-wing press."
Having lived in South Florida for many years, I can attest that while the Miami Herald is many things, 'right wing' is certainly not one of them - not even close.

Obama's Growing Military Problem

Last week, General David Petraeus expressed serious concern over Obama's 'aggressive' draw down of troops in Afghanistan in front of a Senate Armed Forces Committee. When Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI) tried to get Petraeus to admit that if he had serious reservations about the President's orders he would resign, Petraeus forcefully responded that he is 'not a quitter.' As that was happening, U.S. Admiral Samuel Locklear, who commands the NATO Joing Operation in Naples, Italy launched quite the politically incorrect salvo and all but called Obama a liar.

Via the Foreign Policy Cable:
The top U.S. admiral involved in the Libya war admitted to a U.S. congressman that NATO forces are trying to kill Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi. The same admiral also said he anticipated the need for ground troops in Libya after Qaddafi falls, according to the lawmaker.

House Armed Services Committee member Mike Turner (R-OH) told The Cable that U.S. Admiral Samuel Locklear, commander of the NATO Joint Operations Command in Naples, Italy, told him last month that NATO forces are actively targeting and trying to kill Qaddafi, despite the fact that the Obama administration continues to insist that "regime change" is not the goal and is not authorized by the U.N. mandate authorizing the war.

"The U.N. authorization had three components: blockade, no fly zone, and civil protection. And Admiral Locklear explained that the scope of civil protection was being interpreted to permit the removal of the chain of command of Qaddafi's military, which includes Qaddafi," Turner said. "He said that currently is the mission as NATO has defined."

"I believed that we were [targeting Qaddafi] but that confirmed it," Turner said. "I believe the scope that NATO is pursuing is beyond what is contemplated in civil protection, so they're exceeding the mission."
That wasn't all. Look at how simple it is to read between the lines...
Later in the same briefing, Turner said, Locklear maintained that the NATO mission does not include regime change. "Well, certainly if you remove Qaddafi it will affect regime change," Turner said that he replied. "[Locklear] did not have an answer to that."

Locklear also said that, upon Qaddafi's removal, ground troops would be needed during the immediate period of instability, Turner said. In fact, Locklear said publicly that a "small force" might be necessary following the collapse of the Qaddafi regime in a May 30 conference in Varna, Bulgaria.
Ground troops in Libya? While we have Gen. Petraeus all but telling Congress that Obama is making a huge mistake by pulling so many troops out of Afghanistan, we have a Navy Admiral admitting to a congressman that Gadhafi is being targeted and that we will need boots on the ground there to clean up the mess.

Click HERE for video of Petraeus with Levin.

Here is a bonus from Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) on Meet the Press. He seems to be making it clear that he doesn't approve of how Obama is handling the situation in Libya.

Video: TSA Forces 95 year-old Leukemia Patient to Remove Diaper

CNN reporter Don Lemon seems mildly apoplectic over this story as he reports it. Apparently lost on people like him who work for liberal media outlets is that the TSA policy that is causing things like the TSA requiring a 95 year-old leukemia patient to remove her adult diaper, can be laid at the feet of Barack Obama. The TSA reports to Napolitano and Napolitano reports directly to Obama. Lost on Lemon is that Obama is responsible for this policy and this abhorrent behavior from the TSA. He could end it tomorrow but we never even here him talk about it.

Hillary Senior Adviser Running Interference for Muslim Brotherhood

In my latest article at Big Peace, I take a look at yet another State Department employee who seems to be siding with the Muslim Brotherhood; his name is Alec Ross and he is a senior adviser to Hillary Clinton. In light of the recent discovery that Huma Abedin - Hillary's Deputy Chief of Staff - has familial connections to the Muslim Brotherhood that include her mother (a member) and her brother, who is Head of Development at the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS), the public statements from Ross should raise even more red flags relative to Hillary's loyalty to the United States.

Via Big Peace:
Is Hillary Clinton's Senior Adviser Running Interference for Muslim Brotherhood?
Ben Barrack

His name is Alec Ross and he is Hillary Clinton's senior adviser for innovation at the U.S. State Department. While speaking at a summit in London, Ross made the provocative statement that social network technology is the “Che Guevara of the 21st century” due to its “facilitation of largely leaderless movements,” while doing so in a laudatory way.

Though the Guevara comparison was certainly controversial, the most telling statements from Hillary's mouthpiece had to do with his support for the Arab Spring. In talking about dictatorships, he asserted that the power once held by leaders like Hosni Mubarak is being placed in the hands of more worthy entities:

“The overrarching pattern that I think you can see in all of this is the redistribution of power from governments and very large institutions to individuals and small institutions.”

Not only is this statement blatantly false but it shows a complete disregard for the most powerful group behind these Arab uprisings – the Muslim Brotherhood. As an example, Ross refers to Google's Wael Ghonim as the only recognizable revolutionary leader in the movement that is sweeping across the Middle East.

Lost on Ross is the fact that Ghonim's day in the limelight was overtly wrested from him by none other than Muslim Brotherhood leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi, whose minions kicked Ghonim off the stage during the celebratory gathering after Mubarek fell. Ghonim left in disgrace, with an Egyptian flag covering his head. It was the quintessential example of a useful idiot.

With his words, Ross further demonstrated that he – and Hillary by extension – very possibly share this trait with Ghonim:

“The leadership of these movements is increasingly distributed and increasingly nodal as opposed to being bound by a single charismatic figure who is inspiring and organizing the masses.”

Pssst. Hey Alec, maybe you should do a google search on Mr. al-Qaradawi.

Speaking of the Muslim Brotherhood, it's supporting another uprising just across the border from Egypt, in Libya. Not only has this been confirmed by Wikileaks and several other sources but al-Qaradawi himself has left no doubt that he supports the overthrow of Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi; he's even gone so far as issuing a fatwa that authorizes Gadhafi's military to assassinate the Libyan dictator.

This leads us to Hillary Clinton who – while in Jamaica – demanded to know why House Republicans were threatening to withhold funds from the administration's war effort in Libya, which seeks to remove Gadhafi from power. Said Hillary:

“...whose side are you on? Are you on Qadhafi’s side or are you on the side of the aspirations of the Libyan people and the international coalition that has been created to support them? For the Obama Administration, the answer to that question is very easy.”

The necessary implication of this is that our State Department is on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the entity that gave us groups like Hamas, al-Qaeda, and other nefarious Islamic groups.

It is Hillary – not Congress – who should be asked about her loyalties.

The Cult of Climate Change

If you had any doubt that the Eco-Wackos weren't part of a cult, that doubt should be erased now. The UN Foundation is concocting a scheme that will consist of an 'aggressive program' designed to target people who call them Eco-Wackos. Actually, anyone who denies man-made climate change is to have his mind made right or his character assassinated. I particularly like the fact that Tim Wirth, the head of the Foundation thinks people who deny his madness have gotten a 'free ride.' He actually is calling for that free ride to stop.

Via CNS News:
Former Democratic Sen. Tim Wirth of Colorado, now the president of the UN Foundation, said the flooding and forest fires in the United States this year are evidence of "the kind of dramatic climate impact" climate change models have predicted and that those in the know on climate change must “undertake an aggressive program to go after those who are among the deniers.”

In a UN Foundation conference call about climate change, from Svalbard, Norway on Thursday, Wirth said, “[W]e have to--I think, again as I’ve suggested before--undertake an aggressive program to go after those who are among the deniers, who are putting out these mistruths, and really call them for what they’re doing and make a battle out of it. They’ve had pretty much of a free ride so far, and that time has got to stop.”
Uh, perhaps Mr. Wirth should start reading the Climategate emails. I particularly like how Wirth included the Arizona wildfires in his list of examples:As for the recent fires in Southwest and the flooding in the Midwest, Wirth said:
“While you can’t predict exactly from the climate models what’s going to happen, we know that the overall trend is going to be increased drought, increased flooding, increased number of fires. And we’re seeing exactly that sort of thing in the United States today with increased flooding this last year, with the fires that have swept, raging through Arizona and western New Mexico and Texas, the kind of dramatic climate impact that we have seen in the United States already.”

“Slowly but surely, people are going to connect the dots,” he said. “They’re going to understand that this is precisely the kind of significant change that has been predicted and that we’re slowly but surely seeing.”
Lost on this guy is that most of the Arizona wildfires are being started by illegal aliens. In that regard, the source of what Wirth points to as a sign of man-made climate change is indeed man-made.

Pig, meet acorn.

ATF Director Melson Not Going Under the Bus Willingly

Reports began to surface late last week that acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson was going to be stepping down in the wake of the scandalous operation known as Fast and Furious / Project Gunrunner. It's looking like those predictions have been a bit premature because Melson doesn't appear ready to take the fall. Not only that but he appears to be eager to testify before Congress. These two realities very strongly point to Melson not being the one who authorized the 'felony stupid' program. Once again, signs are pointing to Attorney General Eric Holder:

Via LA Times:
The acting director of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is strongly resisting pressure to step down because of growing controversy over the agency's surveillance program that allowed U.S. guns to flow unchecked into Mexico, according to several federal sources in Washington.

Kenneth E. Melson, who has run the bureau for two years, is reportedly eager to testify to Congress about the extent of his and other officials' involvement in the operation, code-named Fast and Furious.

Melson does not want to be "the fall guy" for the program, under which ATF agents allowed straw purchasers to acquire more than 1,700 AK-47s and other high-powered rifles from Arizona gun dealers, the sources said. The idea was to track the guns to drug cartel leaders. But that goal proved elusive, and the guns turned up at shootings in Mexico, as well as at the slaying in Arizona of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in December.

"He is saying he won't go," said one source close to the situation, who asked for anonymity because high-level discussions with Melson remained fluid. "He has told them, 'I'm not going to be the fall guy on this.' "
If Fox News Channel wasn't so obsessed with the Casey Anthony trial and covered this story even half as much, maybe the American public would begin to understand just how corrupt our government is.

But alas.

Read it all.

Video Awesomeness: Another Freshman, Another Righteous Rant

Examples of freshman Tea Party-elected Representatives in Congress keep coming in. This is five minutes of righteous indignation that is hard to beat. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) demonstrated perfectly what every Republican congressman should do on the House floor - get a fire in your belly and let it rip. He runs the gamut here; Kelly starts off by ripping the Congress for not passing a budget last year because of an election and then tells a room full of clueless bureaucrats what they're doing to the private sector. Kelly encapsulates perfectly what's wrong with the buffoons who are in charge.

Video: Senior Hillary Clinton Advisor Compares Arab Spring's Reliance on Internet to Che Guevara

You really cannot make this stuff up. Alec Ross is Hillary Clinton's senior advisor and while he was speaking in London recently, he lauded the success of the 'Arab Spring' by saying one of the reasons it's been so successful is that there are no real leaders anyone can negotiate with or point to. Ross said that other than Wael Ghonim, there really are no recognized names of people who are at the forefront of the uprisings in the Middle East. Lost on Ross is that Ghonim - Google's regional manager in North Africa at the time of Egypt's uprising - was pushed off the stage by Muslim Brotherhood leader Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi after Mubarak fell.

Via The Guardian, Ross not only puts forth some absurd theories about the 'Arab Spring' but actually lauds it by pointing to the Marxist murderer Che Guevara. Fast forward to the 6:00 mark if pressed for time.

Via The Guardian:
Hillary Clinton's senior adviser for innovation at the US state department has lauded the way the internet has become "the Che Guevara of the 21st century" in the Arab Spring uprisings.

Speaking at the Guardian's Activate summit in London on Wednesday, Alec Ross said "dictatorships are now more vulnerable than ever" as disaffected citizens organise influential protest movements on Facebook and Twitter.

The US has pledged to back the pro-democracy movements that have swept the Middle East and north Africa since January. Ross welcomed the "redistribution of power" from autocratic regimes to individuals, describing the internet as "wildly disruptive" during the protests in Egypt and Tunisia.

"Dictatorships are now more vulnerable than they have ever been before, in part – but not entirely – because of the devolution of power from the nation state to the individual," he said.

"One thesis statement I want to emphasise is how networks disrupt the exercise of power. They devolve power from the nation state – from governments and large institutions – to individuals and small institutions. The overarching pattern is the redistribution of power from governments and large institutions to people and small institutions."
This is either willful or blind ignorance on the part of Ross. Whether knowingly or not, he is running interference for the Muslim Brotherhood while championing Che Guevara.

Sanctuary Cities Bill and TSA anti-Groping Bill may Both be Dead in Texas

First up, the Sanctuary Cities Bill (SB 9 and HB 9) in Texas. It looked like a tough immigration bill was set to sail through Texas' special legislative session after Gov. Rick Perry put it on the agenda. With Republican majorities in both houses, odds were much better than not, that the bill would end up on Perry's desk. Then two of Texas' richest men stepped in - Charles Butt and Bob Perry - and threatened to withhold future contributions to the Republican Party if the bill passed.

Via Houston Chronicle:
AUSTIN — As two of Texas' most politically-involved business leaders emerged as opponents, a bill banning "sanctuary cities" lost crucial momentum Friday, raising the possibility the measure will be killed or substantially weakened before the special session of the Texas Legislature ends Wednesday.

HillCo Partners' lobby team, led by Neal T. "Buddy" Jones, is working on behalf of Houston home builder Bob Perry and San Antonio grocery store magnate Charles Butt to alter a proposal that would permit law enforcement officers to inquire about the immigration status of people they detain, Jones' partner Bill Miller confirmed.

Miller declined to detail the changes Jones hopes to make in the legislation, saying only that they have "given language to members" to consider including in the proposal, which would carry financial penalties for cities that prohibit law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status.

The opposition of the business leaders demonstrates a schism in the Republican Party on the issue, designated a priority by Gov. Rick Perry. Bob Perry, no relation to the governor, is a prolific Republican contributor who has given $2.5 million to the governor's campaign coffers since 2001. HEB CEO Butt has made substantial contributions to members of both parties.

Friday, the House State Affairs Committee canceled hearings scheduled to pass the bill for the second day in a row, due to a lack of a quorum, as exhausted lawmakers returned home to tend to their businesses and families. A meeting has been scheduled for Monday, but House leaders did not rule out that a meeting could be called during the weekend if enough lawmakers return to Austin.
As if that wasn't enough, House Speaker (RINO) has called the TSA anti-groping bill a 'publicity stunt,' which indicates an unwillingness on his part to push the bill forward.
AUSTIN — House Speaker Joe Straus on Friday called an “anti-groping” bill favored by Gov. Rick Perry a “publicity stunt” and said he would not allow it to come up for a vote as written.

The legislation, which would criminalize invasive airport security pat-downs, would turn Texas “into a laughingstock,” said Straus, R-San Antonio, after abruptly adjourning the House for lack of a quorum for the second time this week.

Straus said the bill is so seriously flawed he does not think lawmakers will approve the measure before the special session ends Wednesday.

“The bill, without some serious revisions, appears to me to be nothing more than an ill-advised publicity stunt,” he said. “It’s unenforceable, ill-advised and misdirected to uniformed security personnel, not where appropriately it should be aimed, which is in Washington to the bosses of these people.”

Perry, who is contemplating a run for the Republican nomination for president, placed the measure on the special agenda Monday. He and some of his legislative allies view the security checks by the Transportation Security Administration as unreasonable.

The bill, as drafted, would make it a crime of official oppression if federal employees perform a search that involves touching a person’s private parts without probable cause to believe the person has committed an offense.
Both of these developments should outrage conservative voters who are watching establishment-style politics torpedo two critical bills they demand get passed. This goes to demonstrate that when Republicans lose seats, it's because they're too liberal, not because they're too conservative.

VIdeo: John Stossel's Public Confession to Breitbart

John Stossel's stock should rise with you after watching this clip. At the time Andrew Breitbart was breaking the ACORN story back in 2009, Stossel worked at ABC's 20/20. In this recent exchange between Stossel, who is now at Fox Business, and Breitbart, the former 20/20 reporter candidly admits that Breitbart presented the ACORN story to him but that he rejected it because of 'politics at ABC.' That's interesting in light of ABC's Charlie Gibson's admission after the story broke that he 'didn't even know about it.' When someone comes clean like Stossel does here, it's a sign of character.

Video: Tea Party Freshmen Rips Tim Geithner

Here is yet another example of how the Tea Party's voice was heard last November. Check out this exchange between Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and Treasury doofus Timothy Geithner. I'm not sure what the most inexplicable thing to come out of Geithner's mouth was but among them was his assertion that we have 'unsustainable deficits.' DUH! Timmy, remember that uneducated Tea Party? They've been sounding these alarm bells for years now, while this administration has been spending like crack addicts with money. The other argument Geithner attempts to make is that if spending cuts are implemented, government would 'shrink.' That would be bad how?

Our politicians and bureaucrats are finally having to pay the piper and they don't like it. Unfortunately, the piper will take it out on all of us. The American people are not being sold out; we've BEEN sold out.

Hillary to Congress Regarding Libya: 'Whose Side are you on?'

This is no small development. As the Republican-led House debates whether to cut-off funds for Obama's 'kinetic military action' in Libya, we may have a case of 'thou doth protest too much' coming from the Secretary of State. Here is what we know. The Muslim Brotherhood supports the rebels. For some bizarre reason, so does the Obama administration. Despite Louis Farrakhan's efforts to portray Obama as a president co-opted by the 'white Jew establishment,' there is something else going on.

In light of the fact that it's recently been discovered that Hillary's closest adviser - Huma Abedin - has very close familial ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hillary's position becomes very curious. She is now challenging those in Congress who want to withhold funding of Obama's war effort in Libya.

Via the AP:
MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (AP) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is questioning the priorities of lawmakers criticizing the U.S. intervention in Libya.

She's asking bluntly, "Whose side are you on?"

Setting up a showdown on Libya, House Republicans agreed Wednesday to vote on dueling measures, one to give President Barack Obama limited authority to continue U.S. involvement in the NATO-led operation against Moammar Gadhafi and the other to cut off funds for military hostilities.

The measures reflect widespread dissatisfaction with Obama's decision not to seek congressional consent for the 3-month-old war.

Clinton says Congress is free to raise objections but questions the priorities of the critics. She says the Obama administration and its partners are rightly siding with the Libyan people.
For some reason, this excursion into Libya is very important to this administration. We need to start asking why.

DOJ / Washington Post Argue that Issa Knew about Fast and Furious long before Holder did

In an apparent attempt by the Washington Post to run interference for the Department of Justice, the narrative in a story by Jerry Markon and Sari Horwitz provides the perfect example of what happens when you continue to change your story. In this case, the Post attempts to defend the DOJ by going after Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa. The new argument - apparently according to an anonymous DOJ source - is that the DOJ is innocent of any wrongdoing because of a briefing Issa attended in April 2010, at which Issa, the Post alleges, raised no objections.

Via WaPo:
A chief Republican critic of a controversial U.S. anti-gun-trafficking operation was briefed on ATF’s “Fast and Furious” program last year and did not express any opposition, sources familiar with the classified briefing said Tuesday.

Rep. Darrell Issa (Calif.), who has repeatedly called for top Justice Department officials to be held accountable for the now-defunct operation, was given highly specific information about it at an April 2010 briefing, the sources said. Members of his staff also attended the session, which Issa and two other Republican congressmen had requested.
The Daily Caller spoke with Issa spokesman Fredrick Hill, who basically rejects the Post's versions out of hand:
Hill said there was a briefing that Issa attended back in April 2010 on a similar subject. “There were questions at the time about the number of U.S. weapons that were ending up at Mexican crime scenes,” he said. “Basically, [it was about] the efforts of the ATF to stop cartels from doing this.”

Did Project Gunrunner or Operation Fast and Furious come up at that briefing at all? Hill says “they certainly did not.”
Further bolstering Hill's account is the fact that none other than Attorney General himself, Eric Holder, testified under oath on May 3rd that he 'first heard about Fast and Furious over the last few weeks.' Think about that one. By implication, the DOJ - via the Washington Post - is claiming that Darrell Issa knew about Fast and Furious long before Holder did.

Here is the exchange between Issa and Holder on May 3rd. Issa asks Holder when he first learned of the operation at about the 1:15 mark.

Video: Senator Rand Paul tells TSA Head, 'You're Clueless'

TSA Chief John Pistole got an earful from Republican Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) over the intrusive TSA pat-downs. Paul presents a photo of a six-year old girl getting the invasive treatment and embarrasses Pistole with it. Then he gives another example relayed to him by one of his neighbors, at which point he says to Pistole 'You're clueless.' The fact that it is Rand Paul - a freshman elected on a Tea Party platform - who does this should make voters who sent him to Congress to deal with the overreach of the Federal government feel a bit better about being heard last November.

Video: Jon Stewart Rips Project Gunrunner

You know this story is hitting the mainstream when Comedy Central's Jon Stewart picks it up. Though he gets the story basically correct, the way in which he portrayed the agents who blew the whistle on this operation was in poor taste. If someone is unfamiliar with this story before seeing it on Comedy Central, he/she would walk away thinking that Agents John Dodson and Rene Jacquez were willing participants and incompetent themselves. What Stewart doesn't communicate here is that without those two agents, Stewart wouldn't be reporting on this story at all.

Issa was apparently NOT HAPPY with Stewart's bit either.

On another note, I had this letter in my inbox. It's penned by Rep. Darrell Issa to ATF's Deputy Director William Hoover. Apparently the Oversight Committee Chairman is concerned about the agents who testified at the June 15th hearing - John Dodson, Olindo Casa, and Peter Forcelli - being subjected to retaliation by ATF. One of those agents (Dodson) was basically mocked in Stewart's bit on the scandal.

Media Matters Drags National Review's Andrew McCarthy into Huma's Muslim Brotherhood Connection

This is beginning to get quite interesting. Robert Spencer's interview with Front Page Magazine is causing quite the stir among left wing sites. Both Salon and Media Matters have seized on two sentences from Spencer's interview in which he reinforced the assertion that Anthony Weiner quite possibly converted to Islam in order to marry Huma Abedin. Unlike Salon, Media Matters actually used Spencer's comments to go after National Review's Andrew McCarthy. This is likely going to escalate the story because McCarthy now has a reason to get involved.

Via Media Matters:
National Review's Andrew McCarthy has made a habit of citing anti-Muslim activist Robert Spencer as a credible authority -- plugging Spencer's book The Truth about Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion, for instance. In a recent blog post, McCarthy said that Spencer was the sort of "expert" who should testify at Rep. Peter King's hearings on the "radicalization of the Muslim-American community." McCarthy wrote: "I fear the hearings may turn into a non-event, in large part because they are not hearing from all the right witnesses -- experts like Steve Emerson and Robert Spencer. These experts have been excluded, evidently due to fear of the predictable reaction of the Muslim Brotherhood's American grievance network."

Today, FrontPage Magazine published an interview in which Spencer claims that "the most likely scenario" is that former Rep. Anthony Weiner "did convert to Islam."
As is expected, neither Salon nor Media Matters address the very simple fact that a practicing Muslim woman is forbidden from marrying a non-Muslim man. They simply cannot answer that so they do what they usually do. They smear.

And just think. It all started HERE.

Someone needs to show Media Matters this video. An Islamic scholar explains exactly why Huma Abedin would have been forbidden from marrying Weiner unless he converted. This video just in from Shoebat.com

Video: Al Gore's Solution to Climate Change - Population Control

Well, well, well. Al Gore finally said it. The solution to man-made global warming is actually population control. It took a while but let there be no doubt. This is proof that those of us who knew the man-made global warming movement was nothing more than an attempt by far-left eco-wackos to control population are vindicated over and over and over again. In this exchange, Gore pays lip service to emissions technology, probably to offset the impact of what he said shortly thereafter; population control is the answer. He even stumbles across the true agenda of the feminist movement. The mask finally comes completely off. Well, ok, maybe it's hanging on his chin.

If the attempt at nuance you hear coming out of Gore's meat collector sounds familiar, it's the same kind that's used when these insane elitists talk about death panels. Here is the relevant excerpt via Daily Caller:
“One of the things we could do about it is to change the technologies, to put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population, and one of the principle ways of doing that is to empower and educate girls and women,” Gore said. “You have to have ubiquitous availability of fertility management so women can choose how many children have, the spacing of the children.

“You have to lift child survival rates so that parents feel comfortable having small families and most important — you have to educate girls and empower women,” he said. “And that’s the most powerful leveraging factor, and when that happens, then the population begins to stabilize and societies begin to make better choices and more balanced choices.”
Seriously, this guy should have been institutionalized years ago. No, seriously.

Ruh Roh: Is Texas Headed for Another Special Session?

At the end of the Texas legislature's regular session over Memorial Day weekend, Texas State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) filibustered a school finance bill that could not be left unresolved. Governor Rick Perry had to call a Special Session, which is limited to 30 days according to the Constitution. In a special session, the Governor calls the shots; he determines what gets put on the agenda. Consequently, there are several bills on the agenda that Wendy Davis' party thought were dead. A tough immigration bill is one of them - SB 9. There are others, including SB 8, which is roiling teachers.

However, with just about one week left in the special session, there seems to be quite the bottleneck involving several bills, several of which are similar to the one Davis filibustered in that they cannot be left unresolved. Texas is now looking at the possibility of another special session if these bills don't get passed.

Via Texas Tribune:
With the special session constitutionally limited to 30 days, lawmakers have just a week left to resolve the bills on the call — and a lot of loose ends to wrap up.

Gov. Rick Perry has sole discretion over the special session agenda — and he's put a variety of topics on it, from sanctuary cities and health reform to, as late as this week, an anti-groping bill aimed at the Transportation Security Administration.

So far, legislators have produced a mixed bag of results. Three weeks in, some bills are headed to the governor's desk. Others have only cleared one chamber. A few are headed to conference committee, where lawmakers will negotiate the differences. And one major unresolved bill threatens to push the House and Senate into yet another special session.
The Sanctuary Cities bill is huge for Texas. It's basically another way to implement the law passed in Arizona last year with less legal exposure. It was all but dead before Wendy Davis shot her party in the foot. Odds of passage are very good at this point. Texas Tribune has an excellent and detailed rundown of all the bills being debated in this special session. The lengthy list is what has people wondering about another special session.

HERE is the rundown.

Robert Spencer: Anthony Weiner Likely Converted to Islam

FrontPage Magazine interviewed Jihad Watch's Robert Spencer about the percolating controversy over Huma Abedin's familial ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. One of the narratives of the critics has been that such a scenario is the stuff of conspiracy theories. Is it conspiracy theory when three experts on Islam concur that there is strong evidence that Anthony Weiner converted to Islam so he could marry Abedin? The case is further bolstered by the fact that Huma's mother is beyond fundamentalist; she's a card carrying member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Spencer gave an interview to FPM's Jamie Glazov in which he said the following:
Jamie, Islamic law prohibits a Muslim woman from marrying a non-Muslim man. A Muslim man may marry a non-Muslim woman, but not the other way around. This is yet another manifestation of Islamic supremacism: the idea is that a wife will become a member of her husband’s household, and the children will follow the religion of the father. Thus, Muslim men marrying non-Muslim women ultimately enriches the Islamic community, while the non-Muslim community must forever be made to diminish.

Consequently, when a non-Muslim man begins a relationship with an observant Muslim woman, he is usually pressured to convert to Islam, and such conversion is made a condition of the marriage. Of course, laws are often honored in the breach, and this is not always true. So while we know that Huma Abedin’s parents were devout and observant Muslims — indeed, her father was an imam — we don’t know what exactly is going on with her marriage to Anthony Weiner.

Certainly the most likely scenario is that Weiner did convert to Islam, as Abedin’s mother, a professor in Saudi Arabia, would almost certainly have insisted that he do so. Weiner has made no public statement of this conversion, but since it would almost certainly have cost him politically if he had announced it, this silence is not any indication that he didn’t actually convert.
This is a huge rebuke to anyone who refers to those who make such a claim as being conspiratorial.

Spencer is not alone. Islamic expert Daniel Pipes also seems to concur that the marriage between Huma and Weiner is worth examining:
June 9, 2011 update: Speaking of non-Muslim men prominent in American politics who marry Muslim women, did Anthony Weiner, born Jewish, convert to Islam to marry Huma Abedin, a Muslim of South Asian origins? According to one account, he has accommodated his pious wife by "giving up drinking and even occasionally fasting in Ramadan." Ben Barrack marshalls evidence to suggest that he did at "Did Weiner Secretly Convert to Islam to Marry a Muslim?"
Regardless of how crazy such a possibility sounds, it's time for critics to look at facts and defer to experts before dismissing this.

Showdown! Rick Perry puts TSA 'no-grope' Bill on Agenda

This is huge and sets the stage for a big showdown between the Feds and the State of Texas. During Texas' regular legislative session, HB 1937 unanimously passed the House but was defeated in the Senate, not with a vote but with a letter of intimidation from the Feds. The Senate withdrew the bill and the regular session ended. Ah, but hold on. That regular session ended without passage of a bill that could not be left unresolved. Why? Because a Democrat Senator named Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) filibustered the bill.

Perry was forced to call a special session, where he has far more power. In special session, the governor has sole responsibility for putting bills on the agenda and simple majorities are all that's needed - no filibuster can stop passage of a bill. In addition to Perry putting SB 9 - a tough sanctuary cities bill - on the agenda recently, he has now put the TSA no-groping bill on the agenda as well.

Via the Houston Chronicle:
Gov. Rick Perry announced he had added legislation that would make it illegal for TSA agents to engage in “intrusive touching” at airports security checkpoints without probable cause to the list of items for the legislature to consider during the special session.

The measure had previously failed to pass in the Texas Senate after the Justice Department wrote a scathing memo against the bill that threatened legal action against the state and the bill became enmeshed in Senate politics.

There are questions about what affect the legislation might have since airport security is a federal matter.

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who was accused of lobbying against the bill in May said he was “pleased” by Perry’s decision.

“I’m very pleased that Governor Perry agreed to add this legislation to his Special Session call,” Dewhurst said. “Addressing unreasonable and unlawful searches of innocent travelers by some TSA employees is an issue that affects all Texans who use air travel, and it should not wait until next Session.”
Perry is being assailed by many in the conservative movement for his RINO streak. I must say, I've been one of them but he is making some bold moves in this special session that should please the state's rights crowd.

Are Illegal Aliens setting all these Wildfires?

This is beyond disturbing if true. Fires are popping up along the routes illegal aliens take after they cross over the border and into our country. In an email I received from Gene Cafarelli - an extremely reliable source - he sent these pictures of wildfires along our southwestern border. Apparently, the Obama-speak terminology like 'man-caused disaster' is trickling down to local municipalities. Cafarelli includes a report from Hugh Holub in which citizens demanded to know the cause of the fire in their area. The answer they got back?

'Human caused and under investigation.'

A necessary ingredient for fires not to be cause by arson, is lightning. There has been no lightning that has preceded these fires. Holub asks the question. Why isn't the Forest Service admitting that illegal aliens and drug smugglers are starting these fires? That prompts him to ask two additional questions:
Is it because President Obama's claims everything is just wonderful on the border would look false if drug smugglers were starting fires so their drug mules could sneak thousands of pounds of marijuana into the country?

Is it because Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano would look bad if the truth were that illegal aliens that got across the border where there is no border security were burning the country down as they passed through?
Cafarelli also includes a letter from Zack Taylor of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO):
Dear Friends,

This photograph was taken today, June 3, 2011. Inside the center of smoke plume is the Atascosa Ranch, residence of David and Edith Lowell, in Rio Rico, Arizona. Ten miles north of the Mexican Border.

The Forest Service determined to allow this fire to jump Peck Canyon South and go up the North face of the Atascosa Mountains rather than attempt to control the fire, they are simply watching the fire now for four days rather than trying to fight it or control it.

The North Lowell allotment grazing pastures went up in smoke the last three days and the Forest Service is going to allow the second allotment to go up today. The Lowell’s will have to sell their cattle because there is no grass for them to graze on.

The drums along the border say that Border Patrol jumped a group of 12 marijuana backpackers who intentionally set the mountains on fire to effect their escape. Allegedly, between two and three of the illegal alien marijuana backpackers were apprehended and admitted setting the fire. Also, one of these arsonists is reported to be on life support at a local American hospital.

The beating drums also say that the Forest Service will not admit that the fire was caused by illegal aliens, only that it is human caused.

The border is not secure, America is in jeopardy as are all residents along the Arizona Border. Do not believe otherwise.

Zack Taylor, NAFBPO.org
There is zero doubt left that our leaders are failing us at best and betraying us at worst.

MSM Finally Dragged - Kicking and Screaming - to Gunrunner Scandal

Well, the clock has been ticking on the MSM since February on this scandal. That's when CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson attempted to take the story national but got nowhere with the liberal media establishment. In fact, she got virtually nowhere with her own network, which relegated her story to the bottom shelf. Finally, we can yell 'TIME!' Four months after a scandal broke that implicates the Department of Justice in a 'Watergate-with-murder' cover-up, outlets like the Washington Post and CNN finally decide they can no longer avoid it.

What did it take? First, a round of explosive hearings that could only be seen on C-SPAN 3, which were instrumental in ATF Director Kenneth Melson's inevitable departure, which is what finally caught the MSM's attention. However, the Washington Post perfectly telegraphs their reluctance.

In print journalism, the rule is you put the most explosive information at the beginning, which includes the headline. WaPo got that part wrong. Instead of focusing on Melson's exit, they choose, instead, to focus on Obama's nominee to replace him - Andrew Traver. Remember, the breaking news story is that fact that this scandal is forcing Melson out. Check out WaPo's headline:
Obama’s nominee for ATF chief to meet with Justice Department officials
They don't even get to Melson until the end of the third paragraph.

Via the Washington Post:
President Obama’s nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is scheduled to meet with senior Justice Department officials Tuesday amid growing pressure on the agency’s leadership over a controversial gun-trafficking operation.

Andrew Traver, who runs the ATF’s Chicago office, is arriving in Washington as political fallout is continuing from the agency’s “Fast and Furious” operation, which targeted Mexican gun traffickers but has been linked to the killing of a U.S. law enforcement officer. Republicans in Congress have criticized the ATF’s handling of the investigation.

One U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, said Traver may be offered the ATF’s top job on an acting basis at a meeting Tuesday with Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. CNN reported Monday that the current acting director, Kenneth E. Melson, is expected to resign under pressure.

But law enforcement and other sources said Melson has told associates that he believes he has done nothing wrong. Officials said the White House is watching the situation warily and is concerned about the ATF but has not asked for Melson’s resignation.
The most interesting development to come from all this will be what Melson chooses to do. He's basically down to two choices:

1.) Tell Issa everything he knows in hopes of being granted immunity
2.) Fall on the sword of a very corrupt administration

Sipsey Street thinks it's likely to be #1 based on Melson's contention that he 'did nothing wrong.'

Video: Issa Shines on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Dumbfounds the Hosts with Project Gunrunner Info

It is truly phenomenal that Joe Scarborough and Company seemed to be completely oblivious to the Project Gunrunner scandal. After all, they are in the news business. Trumping that was a deer-in-the-headlights look on the face of the panelists as they were having the scandal explained to them for apparently the first time. CBS's Sharyl Attkisson first began reporting on it BACK IN FEBRUARY!! Scarborough's reaction to the very basic details of the scandal was inexcusable for a morning news show host.

Video: Jon Stewart Tells Fox News Sunday Host Chris Wallace he is 'Insane'

Once Chris Wallace and Comedy Central's Jon Stewart get the niceties out of the way, this interview begins its trek into the absurd rather quickly when Stewart actually asserts that he doesn't believe the likes of the New York Times, Washington Post, and other mainstream media outlets do not have a liberal agenda. Yes, he said that. He excuses MSNBC by saying that it is attempting the Fox News Channel model for programming. In other words, MSNBC is 'attempting' to push a liberal agenda because Fox is making them do it.

It goes even further downhill after Stewart tells Wallace the latter is 'insane.' One note before watching. During the interview, Stewart cites unnamed 'polls' that show Fox News consistently has the most misinformed viewers. Unfortunately for Stewart, George Soros is behind at least one of those polls.

Via Fox News:

Texas Sanctuary City Bill Getting closer to Passage

Texas State Senate bill SB 9 would make it illegal for municipalities to enact policies that prevent police officers from checking on the immigration status of individuals who raise suspicions about whether they're in the country legally. Aside from the fact that the Democrats have only themselves to blame for this bill coming to the floor in a special session caused by a Democrat filibuster, the teeth in the bill are starting to show. Municipalities who fail to comply face the prospect of losing state funds.

Via Texas Tribune:
The legislation, by state Sen. Tommy Williams, R-The Woodlands, prevents cities, counties and other governmental entities from adopting policies that prevent law enforcement officers or other employees from inquiring into the immigration status of a person arrested or lawfully detained. Authorities can subsequently report individuals to federal immigration officials if they are thought to be in the country illegally.

If Senate Bill 9 passes both chambers of the Texas Legislature — which could happen as early as next week — communities that prohibit such immigration screenings would lose state grant money. But how much is uncertain.
The controversial bill is a huge win for those who support immigration enforcement but the Democrats have only themselves to blame for its passage. State senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) filibustered a school spending bill that could not be left unresolved. The regular session ended, Perry had to call a special session, and SB 9 is likely to pass. Sometimes pride and partisanship bites you in the behind.
The bill is mired in controversy. Republicans say Texans need to know who is living within the state, especially when a bloody cartel-fueled drug war rages just south of the state’s border and the federal government refuses to secure it. Others, mainly Democrats and minorities, claim the legislation is nothing more than chest-thumping conservative xenophobia.

Under the proposed legislation, local law enforcement would be required to assist federal immigration officers in certain investigations and allow them access to municipal and county jails for enforcement activities. A provision of the bill would allow any citizen to file a complaint against a government entity if it is believed to have violated the sanctuary cities law.
Typical communist (Democrat) tactic. Demagogue as xenophobes, those who want their sovereignty protected.

Audio: KFI Talk Show Host Having Difficulty with Questioning Huma Abedin's Loyalties

On Friday, June 17th, Walid Shoebat was interviewed by Bill Carroll of KFI 640 in Los Angeles about Huma Abedin's familial connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. Carroll has significant difficulty connecting the dots and insisted this was nothing more than a case of 'guilt by association.' That argument falls flat on multiple levels. First and foremost, the fact that someone with such ties has access to State secrets should raise concerns about how much Hillary Clinton's closest adviser was vetted. We all know this administration's track record when it comes to the vetting process. Are you satisfied that Huma has been sufficiently vetted?

The second reason these connections should be of great concern involves Huma's failure to renounce the Muslim Brotherhood or her family members who have ties to them. Shouldn't we, the American public, been made aware of such a renouncement before agreeing to give her such access to our secrets? Click HERE for the audio but be advised the interview doesn't start until about five minutes in.

Via Shoebat.com:
Walid tries to explain to Bill Carroll Talk show host of KFI the second largest station in Los Angeles the issue concerning women in Islam and the potential problems having someone who has close associations with the Muslim brotherhood advising our Secretary of State as well as having access to sensitive information.

We are not picking on Bill Carroll but he epitomizes the ignorance of Americans and the American mindset concerning Islamic deceit, remember one of the 99 names of Allah is "the great deceiver". America must stop thinking like Americans when it comes to the threat of Islam but understand the thinking of Middle Easterners and Muslims. Be as wise as a serpent but peaceful as a dove!

A women who marries a non-Muslim based on the fundamental principles of Islam should be killed. Since Huma Abedin is a "practicing Muslim" and her family are Muslim Bortherhood and Muslim Sisterhood operatives and players then why has she not been killed or ostracized for marrying a Jew.
The notion that these questions lay the foundation for some conspiracy theory is seriously misguided. HERE is the article that started the discussion.

Audio: Rick Perry's New Orleans Speech

On his way to New Orleans, ostensibly to test the presidential stump, Texas Governor Rick Perry to bring an endless supply of red meat. If the goal was to send the crowd away with their euphoric fill, Perry seemed to deliver but how substantial is the substance of that speech? Like he did at a press conference on the eve of Tea Party mania in 2009, Perry set his sights firmly on the Federal government's overreach and disregard for the Constitution.

Texas Tribune has the AUDIO of the speech. Here's the video via Breitbart:

MSNBC has also reported on Perry's speech:
NEW ORLEANS -- Rick Perry delivered an unapologetically socially conservative speech before a friendly crowd here.

“We need to stop apologizing for celebrating life,” the Republican Texas governor bellowed at the Republican Leadership Conference in a finger-pointing, finger-wagging and, at times, bombastic, speech.

“Stop apologizing” for wanting to stem the tide of the “entitlement mindset,” he boasted.

“Our opponents on the left are never going to like us, so let’s stop trying to curry favor with them,” he said, before imploring the crowd to “stand up. Let’s speak with pride about our values. Let’s stop this American downward spiral.”
Perry can certainly talk the talk when he needs to but right now, the TSA anti-groping bill is in his hands during Texas' current special legislative session. The bill failed in the regular session when the State Senate backed down after the Feds threatened to make Texas a no-fly zone. In the special session, Perry will determine the bill's fate. If he puts the bill on the agenda, it will almost assuredly pass. If he doesn't he won't.

Words are nice but Perry's actions relative to this legislation will necessarily show us if he's willing to boldly hoist the Texas flag or wave the White flag in the face of federal oppression.

Romney Continues to Tack to the Left, Opts out of Signing Pro-Life Pledge

Someone has an extremely bad case of RINO fever and he just so happens to be the Republican Party nominee for president - Mitt Romney. Last week, he received kudos from Al Gore for telling an audience in New Hampshire that he believed in man-made global warming. Now he's revealing his true liberal colors on abortion. Romney has flip-flopped on the abortion issue so many times, he makes John Kerry look like a piker. Consider his refusal to sign the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life Leadership Presidential Pledge as another in a long line of convoluted and quite equivocal examples.

Via Daily Caller:
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney drew criticism Saturday for being one of only three Republican presidential candidates to have refused to sign the Susan B. Anthony List’s Pro-Life Leadership Presidential Pledge.

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who did sign the pledge, sent out a press release saying he was “stunned” at Romney’s refusal to sign.

“This past Monday night at the Republican Presidential Debate, I was asked about Governor Romney’s pro-life conversion, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I apparently spoke too soon. It is incredibly disappointing that Governor Romney chose not to defend those who cannot defend themselves,” said Santorum in the statement.
Romney's explanation was quite lame:
“As much as I share the goals of the Susan B. Anthony List, its well-meaning pledge is overly broad and would have unintended consequences. That is why I could not sign it. It is one thing to end federal funding for an organization like Planned Parenthood; it is entirely another to end all federal funding for thousands of hospitals across America. That is precisely what the pledge would demand and require of a president who signed it,” Romney wrote.
Romney appears to be quite overt about his liberalness these days, probably because he's still the frontrunner. That very well might burn him as we get closer to the election and voters begin paying more attention. At that point, look for Romney to tack to the right.

Perhaps even more confusing is the fact that Ron Paul signed the pledge and Herman Cain didn't. Gotta say, if had predicted which one would and wouldn't sign, I would have had those reversed.

LifeNews has more on why Cain said he didn't sign the pledge but remains pro-life. Frankly, I have a tough time buying his logic. He's starting to sound too much like a politician and his stock dropped with me on this one. Bachmann, who signed the pledge, continues to rise.
