Ruh Roh: Fast and Furious Rapidly Reaching to Hillary Clinton?

We already know that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did her part to push the lie that said 90% of all guns recovered in Mexico came from the United States. That is circumstantial evidence which implicates her to some degree in the deadly scam known as Fast and Furious. Obama pushed that narrative as well. It's now being learned that Hillary's state department furiously attempted to push another meme when the details of Fast and Furious began coming out. As this administration is ever so wont to do, it attempted to blame the Bush administration.

As usual, Sipsey Street continues to peel back the onion's layers. In particular, think about former Phoenix, AZ William Newell. During the Bush administration, Newell was in the middle of a much smaller operation with much tighter restrictions that had the potential to allow guns to 'walk' into Mexico but e-mails between Newell and then ATF superior Billy Hoover showed that the US Attorneys Office was not giving the green light.

From the AP via Sipsey Street:
“Have we discussed the strategy with the US Attorney’s Office re letting the guns walk?” headquarters official William Hoover asked in an Oct. 4, 2007 email to William Newell, then ATF’s special agent in charge of the Phoenix field division.

“Do we have this approval in writing?” asked Hoover. “Have we discussed and thought thru the consequences of same? Are we tracking south of the border? Same re US Attorney’s Office. Did we find out why they missed the hand-off of the vehicle?”
Subsequent to this, word came down that no guns would be allowed to 'walk' into Mexico. This apparently seriously agitated SAC William Newell:
On Oct. 6, Newell, the Phoenix SAC, wrote Carroll: “I think we both understand the extremely positive potential for a case such as this but at this point I’m so frustrated with this whole mess I’m shutting the case down and any further attempts to do something similar. We’re done trying to pursue new and innovative initiatives — it’s not worth the hassle.”

Newell, as the special agent in charge of the Phoenix division, was at the center of Operation Fast and Furious. He has acknowledged that mistakes were made in the agency’s handling of the operation, and has been reassigned to a Washington headquarters job.
This leads us to the relationship between State Department employee Kevin O'Reilly and Newell. It is beginning to look like Newell found a much more sympathetic ear with O'Reilly in the Obama administration than he did from Hoover at the ATF under the Bush administration. That could be why Darrell Issa of the House Oversight committee wants all email correspondence between O'Reilly and Newell between March 16, 2009 - March 19, 2009.

Although Newell didn't have the power to sign off on Fast and Furious, evidence points to him convincing others to sign off on it so that the 90% lie could become more credible. In 2007, Newell demonstrated he wasn't brash enough to let guns 'walk' without some sort of approval. Perhaps the notion that Newell's plan would help the administration push the '90% of guns originate in the US' meme helped his superiors sign off on his boneheaded plan. According to the AP article, it was the US Attorneys Office that put up the final roadblock before Newell's plan died. Since there was no roadblock for his boneheaded plan this time around, who gave the final sign off?

Remember, O'Reilly is not just a White House employee; he's a state department employee. That puts him squarely inside HIllary Clinton's circle.

As Sipsey Street aptly points out, what was supposed to be White House spin in the form of an Associated Press article, inadvertently provided more pieces to the puzzle.

Parting thought: If Newell is having nightmares about being set up as the fall guy here, those nightmares are probably more than just a little warranted. Of all of the people who testified in front of congressional committees about Fast and Furious, Newell embarrassed himself the most - even more than Holder when the AG said he'd only learned about Fast and Furious a 'few weeks' earlier. This administration is going to continue getting increasingly desperate for an out. Scapegoating Newell could one day be perceived as the best of nothing but bad options. Surely, Newell must see this. If he does, he should come forward with what he knows ASAP. Then again, if the idea for Fast and Furious actually originated with him, immunity from prosecution might not be an option for him.

LRA Leader Joseph Kony is NOT Christian

On Thursday, October 13th, I went to see the latest Gerard Butler film entitled 'Machine Gun Preacher.' It is a film based on the true story of a former heroin addict who became a born again Christian. Sam Childers was subsequently inspired to go to Sudan to help Christian children who were being terrorized by a man named Joseph Kony, head of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). On Friday, October 14th, news broke that Obama was sending troops in to Uganda to target Kony. Look for a narrative to develop over the coming days from the Obama administration's apparatchiks that says Kony is an extreme Christian. That's an outright lie I wrote about over at Breitbart's Big Peace site:
Joseph Kony, the monstrous leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda, a group possibly more despicable than Hitler’s nazis, has apparently been targeted by the Obama administration. News broke on October 14th that 100 US troops were being sent to track Kony down. The meme that is being floated in the liberal media is that Kony is a radical Christian protestant. Obama’s apparatchiks might attempt to advance that meme as much as possible for political advantage against the Christian right.

There’s a small problem with it. It’s a lie.

Late last month, a movie – Machine Gun Preacher – was released about a man named Sam Childers, whose character is played by Hollywood A-lister Gerard Butler. Childers, a former heroin addict and bad guy himself, converted to Christianity; he was inspired to help the children of southern Sudan and northern Uganda after hearing a guest speaker at his church.

Childers knows the truth about Kony; he’s witnessed the evil from a front row seat. The Machine Gun preacher built an orphanage for Sudanese children, replete with a playground, in a war zone and has defended it against Kony’s LRA by fighting alongside Sudanese freedom fighters with guns. Childers has put his life at risk countless times while protecting children from capture, torture, rape, and perhaps the most despicable fate enslaved boys can endure – being ordered to kill their own brethren by fighting as soldiers in Kony’s LRA.

In 2007, I had the opportuntiy to interview Childers on my radio show. The subject of Kony came up multiple times. Here is a portion of what Childers told me:

“Our area is almost all Christian people and the LRA is financed by the Arabs of the north… so the Arabs are the Muslims so it’s basically a holy war inside of our area. This man (Kony) is just out to kill every Christian he can kill in south Sudan and also in Northern Uganda… He’s being financed… it’s been proved for many, many years that the Arabs of the northern Sudan ok, which is Muslims, they have been financing this man for many, many years.”

Kony is a very, very bad guy who needs to go. That point is granted. What cannot and should not be allowed to happen is the politization of his motives to push a narrative that says he is a Christian. The truth is that he is an insane madman whose evil is sanctioned by northern Sudan’s Arab Muslims. Childers went on to explain that Kony claims to have added an eleventh Commandment to the Judeo-Christian ten. It says, “Thou shalt not ride a bicycle.” Childers also said Kony reportedly had “160 some spirits that speak to him.” These are NOT Christian tenets, nor is killing children. Islamists, however, do believe in killing non-Muslim children; Kony does that for them while being paid to do so.

In some respects, this comes back to the Islamic problem the west simply refuses to identify. Kony is evil, for sure, but Childers indicated to me in 2007 that the root of the problem is Arab Muslim money:

“The north gives truckloads after truckloads of guns and ammunition and money and food so if somebody’s not financing a war, no, I don’t believe it would be going on.”

The reality is that if Kony isn’t a Muslim, he’s certainly doing the will of the Arab Islamists while taking their money to do it. If he is removed, Islamist money will find a new proxy.

The Arab Spring meme has been serving Islamists well for months now. The Muslim Brotherhood waits in the wings for dictators to fall in places like Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Syria; it then fills the vacuum left behind after the Obama administration either runs interference or does its dirty work.

The situation in Uganda is similar in some ways with the potential for an added twist. Look for western media to paint the picture of a radical Christian named Joseph Kony who is slaughtering children in the name of Christianity so it can convey moral equivalency between religions. If it is successful, know that the Obama adminstration will have approved such a portrayal.

Meanwhile, the Arabic Islamists will hide behind the Joseph-Kony-is-a-Christian narrative just like they are hiding behind the Arab Spring moniker.
The conservative media must not allow this administration to establish the narrative that Kony is Christian; it's a lie.

Romney Even More like Obama (Think Cap and Trade, Science Czar)

The biggest monkey - and it's a big monkey - on Mitt Romney's back is currently ObamneyCare but for some reason he continues to be granted top tier status in the Republican field. Now it's been learned that there is another huge monkey up there as well and Obama science czar John Holdren is on the back of the monkey that's on Romney's back. That would make two big monkeys and a science czar that Romney should have to carry around this primary season. It has to do with an Obama agenda item that Romney supported as Governor of Massachusetts - Cap and Trade. In fact, Romney's minions consulted with none other than Holdren who, if you remember, endorsed population control and wealth re-distribution.

From Moonbattery via Hot Air:
Barack Hussein Obama has clotted the executive branch with unaccountable “czars” — unsavory characters too extreme to be confirmed for cabinet positions even by a hyper-partisan Democrat-controlled Senate. Among the most alarming of these malevolent lunatics is Science Czar John Holdren, a participant in ClimateGate who has advocated de-developing America and putting sterilants in the public water supply. Holdren has also spoken in favor of forced abortions, confiscation of babies, targeted as well as mass involuntary sterilization, bureaucratic regulation of family size, and global authoritarian government. If there is a line between ultra-left ideologue and evil maniac, Holdren clearly crosses it. No one to the right of Pol Pot would want John Holdren advising our leaders.
Here is the excerpt from the memo involving Romney's people consulting Hodren:
In the development of greenhouse gas policy, Romney Administration officials have elicited input from environmental and economic policy experts. These include John Holden [sic], professor of environmental policy at Harvard University…
Remember, Holdren co-authored Ecoscience in 1977. Here are a couple of quotes attributed to him via Zombietime:
Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.
That one doesn't do Romney any favors when it comes to his newfound pro-life stance. How about this one about one world government?
The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries' shares within their regional limits. Control of population size might remain the responsibility of each government, but the Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits.
Either Romney's people were so inept that Holdren wasn't vetted or camp Romney has a hidden agenda that conservative voters should find repulsive. Either way, this man does NOT deserve the nomination.

Here is the entire memo:

Romney Announces Strict New Clean Air Regulations to Take Effect January 1

And of course, here is Romney back in June of this year saying that he believes in man-made global warming:
