Ruh Roh: NPR is now covering Project Gunrunner Scandal

This post is not necessarily important for the newsworthiness of the content; it's been covered before. It's important because of who's responsible for the content - National Public Radio! You know it's a real scandal involving a Democratic administration when NPR is covering it, quite fairly I might add. A large focus of this report is the congressional hearing that took place this past week in which Darrell Issa (R-CA) grilled Eric Holder. In fact, NPR gave this week's hearing more attention than did Rush Limbaugh, who focused almost exclusively on the Bin Laden story and how the Obama administration has bungled it multiple times. Newsworthy, yes, but this scandal is looking more and more like it's going to explode. NPR covering it fairly certainly lends credence to such a scenario.

Via All Things Considered:
The murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Mexico last year has touched off a scandal that's now reverberating in Washington.

Members of Congress say that weapons found at the scene of Brian Terry's death have been traced to a federal program that allegedly allowed hundreds of guns to go from the U.S. across the border.

Investigators at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives called it Operation Fast and Furious, just like the blockbuster movie. Agents wanted to follow the flow of guns from the U.S. into the hands of deadly Mexican drug cartels. But the only thing that's coming fast and furious now are hostile questions from Congress.
If you think NPR reporting on this is amazing, check out the comments about the story. Virtually all are against Holder and the ATF, with all having positive recommendations.

This is big, folks.

Video: Grandson of Muslim Brotherhood Founder says Bin Laden Killing 'anti-Islamic'

Tariq Ramadan is the grandson of Hasan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood - the same violently anti-semitc Muslim Brotherhood that has seized control of Egypt. While appearing on Australian Television for an interview with Tony Jones after the news of Bin Laden's killing, Ramadan was asked what he thought of the decision to kill, not capture Bin Laden. If you accept the fact that al-Qaeda and the Brotherhood share the exact same goal but differ on means, Ramadan's answer makes complete and total sense.

Via Lateline:
TONY JONES: What was your first reaction to the news that Osama bin Laden had finally been tracked down and killed?

TARIQ RAMADAN: You know, once again, just a week after what happened, I was in New York, and I condemn what happened. I think that this is completely against the Islamic value - and I said it: it's anti-Islamic.
At another point in the interview, Jones asked Ramadan if he accepted as fact that Bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Ramadan should have stopped after his first four words but apparently just couldn't resist:
TARIQ RAMADAN: Yes. I accept that. I don't have a - you know, between the conspiracy theory on one side and everything it should be clear on the other side, in between still there are lots of questions. There was no independent, you know, inquiry about what happened, and still now there are questions to be raised.
Huh?

By the way, Ramadan was once banned from entering the United States, based on his affiliations. That ban was lifted in 2010, courtesy of Hillary Clinton's pen. The truth is that al-Qaeda was spawned from the Muslim Brotherhood in much the same way that the Weather Underground was spawned from the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).

Audio: Grassley Interviewed by WLS Radio in Chicago on Gunwalker Scandal

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is surprisingly candid in this interview with Don Wade & Roma on WLS 890 in Chicago. Based on what he was willing to say so confidently, he very likely knows far more than what's been reported to this point. When asked where the Project Gunrunner scandal is going to lead, he said it will lead to a lot of embarrassment for Holder and Obama. He also invoked Watergate and drew similar parallels. Perhaps the most telling portion of this exchange is when Grassley tells the host that he is clandestinely receiving documents and sending them to Holder after asking for not receiving those documents from Holder.
