Video: Latest Rick Santelli Rant - 'BBB' Rating without Tea Party

Some people just flat-out shine when times are toughest. CNBC's Rick Santelli is one of them. In February of 2009, his rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange birthed the Tea Party. He's had countless righteous rants since then. He's at his best when he's fed up. He seems to make more sense the angrier he gets. This one might actually be a cut above. Here, he sticks up for the Tea Party in response to people like John Kerry, David Axelrod, and MoveOn.org who call this a 'Tea Party downgrade.' Santelli asserts that if it wasn't for the Tea Party, our S&P rating would now be BBB instead of AA+.

He also makes easy work out of the guy who tries to debate him - Steve Lies. At the end, Lies looks apoplectic.
