There are righteous rants and then there are rants so passionately righteous that sparks shoot out of the mouths of those who deliver them. Enter Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who while on the House Floor, called out Eric Holder and the Justice Department. This was shortly after a fiery speech from Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) on the same subject.
Anyone think the Tea Party is dead? Gowdy was elected to his first term in 2010 on a wave of Tea Party anger. When is the last time you saw anyone with such little tenure deliver a speech like this? Not only does Gowdy lampoon Democrats across the aisle who are standing by Holder but he embarrasses senior Republicans who have been conspicuously silent on Fast and Furious.
This is inspirational, folks.
