Islamic Conference in Chicago

A group calling itself Hizb ut-Tahrir held a conference at a hotel in Chicago this past Sunday. The name of the conference was, "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam". Why not, "The Fall of Fascism and the Rise of Islam"? Why not, "The Fall of Socialism and the Rise of Islam"?

Attacking capitalism is en vogue these days and Islamists seem to be riding the wave on the same boogie board as the socialists.

Fox News reported:
"Free market, organization, capitalization — all has failed and brought disaster to America," said one of the group's speakers.
Ask yourself how many people who voted for the current administration agree with that statement? Doesn't Bill Ayers and his ilk subscribe to such a notion?

Here's the entire Fox Story.

How about the DHS report? It would seem to me that DHS would be better served by shifting gears and doing a report on Islamic Extremism instead of Right Wing Extremism. If ever there was a group that deserves an entire DHS report dedicated to it, wouldn't Hizb ut-Tahrir qualify? Fox reports that it is
a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi
The State Department doesn't even have them listed as a terrorist organization.

Should we really be all that surprised? In order to win a war, isn't it first necessary to identify an enemy? The west has been fighting a tactic and ghosts. Those are not tangible enemies.

Failed wars:
War on Poverty
War on Drugs
War on Terrorism

After 9/11, George Bush gave all Muslims a pass by throwing a "peaceful" blanket over the entire religion instead of saying Islam is a religion that is home to militant Jihadists.

George Bush uttered the phrase, "Islamo-fascism" ONCE and backed down out of political correctness.

At the heart of American leadership not facing the enemy of militant Islam can only be one of two things.

Cowardice or Complicity
