Liberal talk show host Bill Press channels Meathead

Earlier this week, liberal talk show host Bill Press impugned the national anthem, saying it was "un-singable" and that it was a "major crusade" of his to "get rid of the Star Spangled Banner." After saying "there's so much wrong with it, I don't know where to start," Press proceeded to deride the fact that the lyrics glorified war. Have a listen before watching Meathead from 'All in the Family' echo very similar complaints.



Here is an exchange between Archie Bunker and his freeloading liberal son-in-law, Meathead from forty years ago. Archie - who was the one who actually worked while putting up his daughter's husband so Meathead could go to college and learn how to be a "subversive" - was trying to watch a football game when the national anthem comes on. Meathead, a disrespectful liberal punk, who had no respect for the fact that Archie was sustaining his very existence, insults the Star Spangled Banner after attempting to get Archie to sing it.

The best part? All in the Family was created by far left liberal whacko, Norman Lear and Archie (the embodiment of Lear's attempt to mock conservatives) actually stole the show.

Video: MSNBC Host Says Sarah Palin Breaking Law by Displaying U.S. Flag

Want proof that Sarah Palin's bus tour is driving the left insane? Look no further than the assertion from MSNBC's Martin Bashir, who says she's in violation of 'federal law' by having the flag painted on her bus. The best part? While he derides Palin for her 'illegal' activity, he refers to her violating the 'standards of respect and etiquette' when it comes to the American flag. Conspicuously absent from Bashir's indignation - it's not really lost on him, he's just a communist - is any outrage over the burning of the American flag.

I think it's a safe bet to say that anyone who wants to prevent someone from displaying the flag while also supporting the right to burn it, hates America and has no concern for respect or etiquette relative to it.

If you want to see the face of communism, watch this video. As a side note, the more Sarah Palin causes left wing heads to explode, the more powerful she gets. I've been off the Palin bandwagon for some time but I'm thinking about getting back on.

VIdeo: Ret. Marine gets in Face of Flag Burner

This is actually how the Tea Party should deal with flag burners. A retired Marine was on the LSU campus and confronted a left wing whack job flag burner. While the language is strong at the end, he kinda gets a pass. The U.S. military has been quietly and honorably putting up with ungrateful left wing idiots for decades now. I'll bet every Marine would applaud this guy. Note also toward the end, right before he delivers the punchline, he sounds just like a Marine.

Video: Would be Flag-Burner has to be Protected by Police

LSU student Benjamin Haas was on campus to burn an American flag in protest of another student being arrested for stealing a University flag. As he was preparing to burn the flag, he was literally surrounded by angry counter-protesters. Ultimately, Haas had to be escorted away by mounted police and he never burned the flag. At first blush, this seems like a victory for patriotic Americans and in some respects, it might be. The problem was the behavior of some in the crowd. Water bottles were thrown and obscenities were hurled.

Patriotism is a good thing and while this looked like a 1960's protest in reverse, the behavior on the part of the counter-protesters came dangerously close to mirroring behavior that should be reserved only for the left wing thugs. It is important to remember that the White House is occupied by a man who loves Saul Alinsky; Obama is recognized as the prized disciple and knows exactly what to do in these situations.

VIDEO: FEEL GOOD AMERICAN FLAG STORY OF 2010

Last week, 13 year-old Cody Alicea rode to school on his bike while sporting a U.S. flag. When he got there, he was ordered by the school to remove the flag because it could cause 'racial tensions.' The reasons cited by school officials were utterly disgraceful and got to the root of why so many American patriots are up in arms these days. Cody was told to remove the flag because while he has a First Amendment right to free speech, he should be responsible with it.

Denair Unified School District Superintendent Edward Parraz said Cody Alicea, 13, was told not to fly the U.S. flag from his bike while at Denair Middle School after complaints from other students, KCRA-TV, Sacramento, Calif., reported.

"(The) First Amendment is important," Parraz said. "We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsibility."

Parraz said racial tensions boiled over at the school this year around the Cinco de Mayo holiday.

"Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they'll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don't really want," Parraz said. "We want them to appreciate the cultures."

Yes, I did say this was a 'Feel Good' story. Days after the outrageous stance taken by the school, they relented after public pressure and Cody was allowed to ride to school with his flag again.

MITCH MCCONNELL'S BLATANT HYPOCRISY ON KORAN BURNING

The AFP reported that both Mitch McConnell and John McCain publicly denounced the planned Koran burning on September 11th at the Dove World Outreach Center. However, in light of McConnell's vote on an amendment to make burning the United States flag illegal, he appears to have a consistency problem that could use some explaining. At least McCain's statements on the Koran burning are consistent with his vote in 2006. McConnell's screams hypocrisy. Making it even more relevant is the fac that he was the ONLY Republican in office today who voted against the amendment (Lincoln Chafee was the other).

HERE is how the Senate voted. The flag burning amendment went down by one vote - McConnell's was the deciding one.

Contrast that with these statements from McConnell on September 9th regarding the Koran burning. Via the AFP:

Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell warned that the "stunt" risked endangering US troops in the field, while urging the news media to show restraint amid global outrage at the pastor's plans.

"If this group insists on going forward, I would hope that members of the media will not reward them with what they crave most: News coverage," McConnell said in a statement.

In order to stay consistent, McConnell should have either kept his mouth shut or defended the church's right to carry through with their plans.

Regardless of where you come down on this Koran burning issue, McConnell seems to be more willing to prevent Koran burnings than U.S. flag burnings.

HYPOCRITE HILLARY: FLAG BURNING VS. QUR'AN BURNING

It would seem that these socialists running our government are finally starting to have their lives of blatant double standards coming home to roost. In response to the proposed Qur'an burning at a Florida church this upcoming September 11th, Hillary has called the scheduled event a 'disrespectful, disgraceful act'. Yet, when given the opportunity to vote for an amendment in 2006 that would have declared burning the U.S. flag unconstitutional, she cast the deciding vote against that amendment.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday called a Florida church's threat to burn copies of the Muslim holy book to mark the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks a "disrespectful, disgraceful act."

Others in the Obama administration weighed in against the proposed burning, including Attorney General Eric Holder, who called it idiotic and dangerous. A State Department spokesman branded the planned protest "un-American" while other officials warned that it could threaten U.S. troops, diplomats and travelers overseas.

So it's idiotic, Un-American, disgraceful, disrespectful, and dangerous to burn the Qur'an but it's ok to burn the American flag?

Barack Obama also voted against the amendment in 2006 to declare flag burning illegal. Doesn't Hillary also speak for him as Secretary of State?

VIDEO: STUDENT REPRIMANDED FOR DRAWING U.S. FLAG

Before I comment on this, let me first say that Steve Doocy at Fox News is a class act all the way. That will become apparent at the end of this video clip. In any event, something very nefarious is afoot in this country. Last week, students were sent home for donning clothes that showcased Old Glory on Cinco de Mayo. Then, in the same area, a passenger in a vehicle waving an American flag had it ripped out of his hands and thrown to the ground by an hispanic student with baggy pants.

Now this. A young girl is chastised by her teacher for drawing the American flag - which included the phrase "God Bless America" - while that same teacher praised another student for drawing a picture of Barack Hussein Obama.

Despicable.

VIDEO: CALIFORNIA CONFRONTATION OVER U.S. FLAG

Last week, Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, CA made news when four students had the unmitigated gall to wear American flags on their clothing on May 5th, otherwise known as Cinco de Wacko. Now we have new video of an hispanic student ripping an American flag out of the hand of another student waving it from outside the passenger side window of the truck he was riding in.

KRON TV reported:

Racial tensions are high on the campus of Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill a day after five students were sent home for wearing clothing with American flags to school on Cinco de Mayo.

Several dozen Latino students walked out of class Thursday. Shouting "We Want Respect", the students marched to a nearby park where they held a rally.

Along the way, KRON 4's Rob Fladeboe witnessed a dispute with a group of students waving an American flag out the window of a pickup truck. One of the marchers grabbed the flag and hurled it to the ground. What followed was an angry confrontation in which both groups of students shouted obscentities at each other.

Seriously, how long are Americans going to put up with this garbage?

VIDEO OUTRAGE: STUDENTS SENT HOME FOR PATRIOTISM

An absolute outrage took place on May 5th in California when high school students were literally sent home for wearing the red, white, and blue. The reason? It was disrespectful to those wanting to recognize Cinco de Mayo. The news these days has been causing quite a bit of outrage but this one is a significant poke in the chest of Americans.

VIDEO: VFW JUSTICE - DUCT TAPE FLAG BURNER TO FLAG POLE

How long before the leftwing whack jobs call this torture? A man walks into a bar at the VFW and orders a beer. He is declined. He then proceeds to the front lawn of the VFW, lowers the American flag, and burns it. What happened next was probably the most effective form of justice that could be levied - PEER ACCOUNTABILITY.

A veteran in the hall tracks down the man a couple days later and duct tapes him to the pole.
