Donald Trump's Abortion Problem

Business tycoon and staunch capitalist Donald Trump is apparently running for president of the United States. His success, his background, and his message are all resonating with many on the right as capitalism itself is under attack; he's one of its biggest proponents. However, if he has even the slightest chance of winning the nomination, it will have to come with a Road to Damascus experience on abortion. So far, it looks like he's simply being political in appealing to social conservatives.

Via CNS News:
Before Trump entered the ballroom at the Marriott Wardman Hotel to speak, CNSNews.com asked him, “Do you think your pro-choice stance will affect your run for president of the United States?”

“Who said I’m pro-choice?” Trump replied before being pulled away by handlers.

In his 2000 book, The America We Deserve, Trump said, “I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures."

On Nov. 18, 2010, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Trump, “Are you pro-choice?”

Trump said, “I am -- well, I don't want to discuss right now, but you will be shocked when I give you that answer. … Well, you will be very surprised when I give you -- I'm going to make a decision [about running for president]. And when I make a decision I'll let you know about that. But, I think you'll probably be surprised.”

Then, in an interview yesterday with talk-radio host Laura Ingraham, Trump said, “I am pro-life.”
Trump knows he needs the social conservatives to get any traction. Indications are that's why his position on abortion appears to be more than just slightly malleable. In the past, someone like him might be able to massage his message enough to satiate the conservative base. Not today, however. the Tea Party is too politically savvy to fall for it.

Sorry Donald. Damascus is this way.....

Video: Pamela Geller Calls out Muslim Brotherhood Infiltraitors at CPAC

In the run-up to CPAC, various groups and individuals boycotted the largest Conservative political conference for its allowing GOProud to attend. Others stayed away because of the reports that a man with Muslim Brotherhood ties - Suhail Khan - was on the Board of Directors. I must admit, my inclination was to adopt that view as well, mainly because I didn't think people who opposed Khan - along with the guy who helped put him in the position, Grover Norquist - wouldn't call them out at the event.

Boy, was I wrong. David Horowitz named names as did Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs. Geller took it a step further and explained why it is important for those who know the truth to show up at CPAC and take it back rather than stay away and let it go to the wolves.

Go HERE to watch Suhail Khan deny the Muslim Brotherhood exists in the United States and then watch Horowitz call out both Khan and Norquist during his speech.

Awesome.

John McCain Lying to American People

I'm tired of giving these politicians the benefit of the doubt concerning whether or not they know the truth. John McCain has been inside the beltway for decades so to assume he doesn't know he's lying here is simply too much of a stretch to even warrant the slightest of consideration. In saying that the Egyptian protests are a repudiation of al Qaeda is a lie; it is a lie. Let me say it again. It is a lie. Go figure; John McCain was the most prominent Republican to repudiate Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) when the latter spoke the truth during a joint session of congress when he yelled, 'You Lie' to Barack Obama.

Now this?

Via CBS:
The Arizona Republican called the Egyptian revolution a "repudiation of al Qaeda," and praised the peaceful nature of the protests demanding Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's ouster.

"The Egyptians helped us in the fight against al Qaeda," he said. "This revolution is a direct repudiation of al Qaeda, who believe that the only way you bring about change is through violence."
Senator McCain, al Qaeda IS the Muslim Brotherhood. It is ludicrous for him to allude to the Egyptians helping us in the fight against al-Qaeda when the government that supported us in that fight was led by Mubarak. Conservatives should reflect on whether they'd be better off if McCain had lost his election to the Democrat opponent.

However, McCain did make a point worth noting as events unfold. Right now, countries like Russia and China are going to need to step back and not look so hostilely at the United States; they may need our help at some point.
Arizona Sen. John McCain predicted on Sunday that the recent governmental overthrow in Egypt would likely spur similar movements throughout the world, and warned foreign leaders in countries like China and Russia that they might be "a little less secure" of their power in light of recent events.

"I don't think this is confined to the Middle East, just as we believe that human rights are universal," said McCain, in an interview with CBS' "Face the Nation."

"These winds of change that are blowing, I think I would be a little less cocky in the Kremlin with my KGB cronies today if I were [Russian Prime Minister] Vladimir Putin," he warned. "I would be a little less secure in the seaside resort that [Chinese] President Hu and a few men who govern and decide the fate of 1.3 billion people."
Of course, McCain's never had his words come back and bite him more than these; the bite is seemingly deeper with each passing day.
