Now Issa's name is at the top of a scathing report on how the Obama Administration has handled the BP Oil disaster in the Gulf.
Via CNS News:
Billy Nungesser, president of New Orleans’ Plaquemines Parish, sensed that a chart showing 140 oil skimmers at work -- a chart given to him by BP and the Coast Guard -- was “somewhat inaccurate.” So, Nungesser asked to fly over the spill to verify the number. That equates to the Administration, in conjunction with BP, lying. For the record, 31 / 140 = 22% of what was being communicated.
The flyover was cancelled three times before those officials admitted that just 31 of the 140 skimmers were actually deployed.
There was also an alleged attempt White House to get Nungesser to be quiet:
The report, which relies on interviews with several local officials in Louisiana, goes on to quote Nungesser, who had been on local and national television enough so that the White House became concerned. Two White House officials visited him on Father’s Day and said, “What do we have to do to keep you off TV?” His answer was, “Give me what I need.”In true Obama fashion, image trumps substance. Instead of focusing on what needs done, he's more worried about hiding the truth and avoiding accountability.

To further bolster the claims within the report, here is a video of CNN's Anderson Cooper actually decrying the government's attempt to keep the media away from the truth:

Also, back on June 13th, I posted the story about the FAA putting air space over the oil spill region off limits.
